High 5 Lakeway

My good friend invited me to a SXSW volunteer event. It was so much fun and there were so many games to play this place is so spacious and great for big events. Arcade games, blowing and so much more. I can’t wait to go back and take my kids they will loved it. Plus try the laser tag with them. Customer service all over was very helpful and nice. It’s a great place for the entire family. From drinks, food and games◡̈

Great place for fun! Arcade, laser tag, bowling, axe throwing, bar/food. Nice clean establishment with courteous employees. Upstairs (21+) would be great for a date night with comfy seating, darts, billiards, bowling, and a nice bar. Thursday $5 bowling downstairs!

I would compare this to an upscale Chuck E Cheese but for adults to play as well. They have bowling, and adult beverages. At the same time they have fun arcade games for kids and virtual reality rides/experiences. I had fun playing the kids’ games! I attended a phenomenal birthday party at High 5 Lakeway as well. I definitely recommend it for throwing events! Today I had to update my review! We played the laser tag, my daughter enjoyed the Virtual Reality, I finally tried their food. It was surprisingly tasty. This place really grows on you because both adults and kids have fun. Shout out to 1)Steven 2)Stephen and Alex! Alex was very patient and polite. Stephen was a hoot! So fun to talk to while ordering/eating dinner. Steven was so fast behind the counter, I nicknamed him Flash. Overall, great experiences here and great staff!

Outstanding Customer Service from Ariana! I cannot say enough good things about the exceptional service Ariana provided! She went above and beyond to accommodate us in a way that another worker claimed was impossible. Without hesitation, she took the initiative to move a table to our preferred spot in the lane we were in and even gathered chairs for us—all without any assistance. Her dedication, problem-solving skills, and willingness to go the extra mile made our experience truly memorable. Ariana’s work ethic and customer-first attitude deserve serious recognition—and honestly, a pay raise! It’s rare to find someone so committed to making sure guests are comfortable and happy. Management is lucky to have her, and I’ll definitely be coming back because of her amazing service!

My family and I had a blast while at High 5. Lanes were slick, music was just right. While bowling, our bartender Micah was such a pleasure! Not only was he was such great helper, his personality was amazing. He was above and beyond!

My kid's birthday pool party got rained out so we had to think of something quick. High 5 welcomed us at the last minute (1 hour before the party was supposed to start) and took care of everything! Kaleb and Ron made it easy to pivot our guests here so we didn't have to cancel the celebration all together. We got set up with bowling, laser tag, and game cards for all the kids. We were able to order yummy food for everyone and have it ready for party time. They were so understanding, accommodating and totally saved the day!

Amanda and Josh made my son’s 6th birthday absolutely amazing! 🎉 From Spark bowling to the arcade, everything was smooth, fun, and stress-free. Their energy, kindness, and attention made the day unforgettable. Thank you both for the exceptional service! We’ll definitely be back! 🎳🎉🎈

Had a great time at High 5 Lakeway with my 3 kids today for spring break? Excellent customer service from manager Kaleb who made our experience great. Our server at the restaurant was wonderful—the food was the best— whatever dough they use for the pizza is delish! Even the basic chips and salsa have so much flavor with great salsa. Bartender making my Moscow mule did an awesome job—tastier than any cocktail in Lakeway. Enjoyed laser tag with my kids. Again an incredibly nice employee helping us out to play. Thank you to High 5 and the great people working there, we sure appreciate you!

This is mostly a gaming (bowling, arcade) place that also serves food and drinks and we did not know that so it was a little disappointing because of that. The choices of beer could be better but then 12 beers at a place where people come for bowling is not bad. The chicken tenders were good and the atmosphere was quite good because of larger groups enjoying themselves around us. We might go back if we feel like bowling, not going back for food and drinks only. I don't think they would mind me saying that.

Tried this place out because I had some coupons. Had some delicious pizza and drinks. The bowling was fun too! My party was happy that there was a separate upstairs area meant for adults; less screaming kids, less worry about carrying drinks around. Table service to the lane we were playing on was a huge plus~! Only negative is that it's HECKIN expensive. Would highly suggest going with a big group to get the most bang for your buck. Arcade was okay, kind-of a letdown and again ridiculously expensive but I chalk it up to there not being that much space. Laser tag was fun, the arena built had plenty of space for jogging around and hiding. Didn't try the "VR experience" but it's basically a virtual golf setup that you can play different games on. Frankly, stuff you can do at home if you own a VR headset. Also didn't try the ax throwing, as you apparently need to make a reservation well in advance to do it. Ah well. We still had fun. Plus sides: Upstairs area for adults, everything was super clean and neat, bowling was fun and atmosphere was great, employees were all super nice Down sides: arcade crazy expensive, axe throwing needs 3 hour notice and reservation

Amazing Service from Mason! I had the pleasure of visiting High5 for the first time, and I have to say, it was an outstanding experience--thanks to Mason! From the moment we walked in, he went above and beyond to make sure my wife, my son, and I felt welcome and had a fantastic time. Mason was incredibly kind, patient, and knowledgeable. He explained everything about the arcade, helped us get started, and even recommended some games we would enjoy as a family. His friendly attitude and willingness to help made our visit unforgettable. It's rare to encounter someone who genuinely cares about the experience of every customer, and Mason is one of those rare gems. Because of him, we are already planning our next visit! Great summer deals! That allowed for a full day of fun for the kids to avoid the summer heat.

Oh my Gosh, this is such a fun place to go with friends, have a few drinks and play some games. Parking is easy, they have a large parking lot. The building is huge, it's actually 2 stories. I didn't go upstairs so I have no idea what is up there. (Next time) There are a lot of video games and skee ball, air hockey, a large connect 4 game, bowling, a bar with great food and great drinks. There's the prize store towards the back. That's the area where you can redeem your tickets you've won for prizes. When I checked in on Yelp for High 5, I got a free game play card that was worth $5.00. The game play card is rechargeable. Had a really fun time. Nice to be a kid once in a while.

High 5 is a great venue in Lakeway for birthday parties & a fun outings with the kids or friends. It is an establishment full of activities: arcade, bowling, laser tag, etc. My five year old son loves it, specifically all the fun games and prizes. High 5 has a variety of arcade games and they handle all the nonstop children parties very well. Overall, the service was a little slow and I wasn't crazy about the pizza. (We ordered cheese and a pepperoni came out and the replacement one was under cooked.) However it is a great spot and we will be back.

If you don't care at all about bowling and you're not trying to improve your game, then this place is for you. You are bowling in an arcade, run by teenagers. If anyone wants the lights turned off, they will do it for them, right in the middle of YOUR game. They don't care. If you are actually trying to do well in the sport, go to a real bowling alley. The food is good, but I'd suggest going to any one of Lakeway's much finer restaurants.

Amazing place! Fun and entertainment everywhere! From axe throwing to second story bowling, it's a great place. Food options are good and they also have beer on tab.

The team at the Lakeway High Five Entertainment gave 110 percent to every aspect of our Project Graduation event. I didn't have to worry about anything that you had said High Five would handle. It was all handled, from the lanyards and game cards to all the different food options coming out all night long. All the staff were helpful and happy, despite the long night. There were many aspects to this event and everything worked out wonderfully. I am truly grateful and appreciative and I look forward to working with you all again for another high school Project Graduation! Thank you for helping us keep our graduates safe and completely entertained!

only bad experiences so far at this place due to the employees not caring about the customers experience at all whatsoever. ×4High 5 A bartender named "Jay" who said (that's his name 'for today' implying he has more names) had already cleaned the bar and said it was closed at 9:30 pmalthough Jay said they close at 10:pm(they closed 30 mins early)Jay also informed us that the cash register at the bowling alley was closed also so we could not bowl. no bowling, no drinks. if you plan a trip here? forget about it, they switch up instantaneously.when we called ahead to ask if they were open (because last time we came in person, a lady told us they were closed due to someone renting out the entire restaurant. which is fine, her attitude was not (they also could have put that on the door)) the lady on the phone gave us a terrible, terrible attitude and gave us the general "we are open Monday through Friday 9-5" routine and she sounded like she hated her whole job and did not want to be there High 5 - your employees are loosing y'all money. as is your hours. please close at 9 pm if y'all close registers at 9 pm!!!please and thank you! (P.S) I came here after work, i close at a breakfast restaurant AND I work a night job where I also close so I UNDERSTAND and I am considerate of others feelings, I UNDERSTAND how it feels when people walk in 10 mins before closing. But this is the job you literally signed up for

This place is a blast, affordable bowling plus a super fun arcade. We went to another place with an arcade where everything felt nasty and unclean and many of the games were broken down. We did not have that experience here, you can tell that the games get thoroughly cleaned at the end of each day and the games all worked expect one. The bathrooms were clean and even though we didn't try the food, the dining area looked very nice and also clean. Super, fun and relaxed place, we will be back.

High priced janky games. Half the games don't work. Almost every game we tried to play 2 player had one broken side. We bought 6 VR games (you buy prior to playing) once we went to play as a family of 4 we were told only 2 people could play due to the other 2 headsets bein broken. Asked for our mo way back and was told we could trade it for somethin else but couldn't get a refund. By then we just wanted to leave. Kids wanted to play at least one VR game. When they went, the game they wanted to play on there didn't work . Ok, we're now like 0/8 for what we wanted outta this spot. We'll NEVER come back. The food was okay but WAY too expensive for what you get. Our dinner was $90. We got 2 kids meals, 2 small salads, and 2 drinks. That's ridiculous. All in all we spent $235 and it was worth all together MAYBE $100 and that's bein generous.

I came here for a team get together for work and it was so much fun! This place has a little bit of everything for both kids and adults. Really enjoyed the laser tag, bowling, and arcade games on the floor. The highlight of the visit was the virtual reality they had on the arcade floor. It was so much fun, and great to play with a group of friends! They attach you to a harness type deal so you're not knocking into stuff. Food was decent and the drinks were good. Definitely a place you can spend hours in! Will definitely visit again.

When I was a kid, I used to always go to a similar place like this: arcade games, bowling, food! High 5 is a better and more upscale version of my childhood place. The arcade is clean and well run. The staff are extremely friendly and helpful. The food is pretty good overall. Also, axe throwing?! SO MUCH FUN. The guy who worked the axe throwing was funny and made sure we had a great time. It's a little difficult to get the hang of it, but once you do it's great. Overall, High 5 is a fun place for families or couples or anyone really. Highly recommend!!

First time here. Last time here. We had a horrible experience. From the time we walked in the door the card dispenser took our money but gave us no cards . The Manager assisted us and gave us the cards we did not receive which was fine. We ordered food at the restaurant and this is where it all went sour. Our food took more than 40 min to partially arrive. It was the wrong order. We had no one say sorry or provide an explanation. I asked about our food and was told "yes they mixed up the order, your food will be out at some point". At this point we canceled the order and left. Restaurant was not too busy. I'm guessing under staffed. Costumer service was not there, sadly.

We just had a birthday party for one of our kiddos at High Five in Lakeway and had a great experience! Everything was super clean and we had an amazing party host (shout-out to Emma!) They had everything set up and ready when we got there and Emma helped with every aspect (bowling shoes for kiddos, drinks, lunch served, everything cleaned up, etc.) She also captivated the kids' attention and kept us all on schedule. Food was good, bowling was fun and kids could do it all pretty-much unattended. Then we played games which they loved. Wish the included cards lasted a little longer, but it kept them entertained for about 30 minutes. Would definitely go back and have a party (or just go for fun sometime!) This is a fun place to hang out with friends! They offer bowling, gaming, and a hodgepodge of food. They also have varies pitchers of beer! They even have a $5 yelp check-in bonus. We bought the special which included as much bowling as you can fit in in an hour. We got 2 lanes since we had 10 people. Unfortunately, with that many people all you can get in is one game. The special also included a card for $10 worth of games. Same Arcadia games you might find at a Dave n Busters. But a cheaper version. For a $49.95 entry, I want my money's worth. It's not cheap to play here. From the reviews, I see there is a second floor. Really? Really?? Totally missed that opportunity with the horrible check-in. Hint.: Don't put new staff at the front desk without some type of supervision. It will be a fail for sure. Unlimited laser tag was included. BUT, there's not enough employees to go around. This is a Friday night and not enough employees to run laser tag. This was an epic fail. Folks are trading in their tickets for prizes. The wait for each time between laser games is approximately 40 minutes or more. That's jacked. It's really crappy considering those same employees vanish as soon as tickets are traded in. When you do make it into the arena it's a total blast!! This wait is not appropriate. This is not how you run a business. Honestly, I think you'd be better driving to a facility that offers better service. This place was a little of a disappointment , and I'm an out of town visiter. Food was ok. 2017/73

Sat at the bar for 10 min at 6:30 pm finally got a beer now finished waiting another one.no one at the bar to serve me for 20 min. Just let everyone know i will not be back. Terrible service and no one else at the bar but me.

Fun place to hang out and enjoy yourself! Fun for all ages, there's a multitude of activities and food and drinks for everyone! Not terribly priced. Staff are always very welcoming and helpful!

This place has horrible prices, and half the time the games don't even work. I hope this review stops a family from going here, and to go to a different better place instead.

Great place for kids and adults. They have Food, Drinks, Laser Tag, a Top Golf Suite, Axe Throwing, Bowling, and an Arcade. Overall an amazing place.

High 5 did a really great job making us feel safe during everything going on!! So, first things first. Our service was amazing. But also, everything was incredibly clean and spaced out. We felt really safe with the Covid precautions and everyone was following suit. They have hand washing stations throughout, sanitizer on the tables. It was perfect. We got on a bowling list.. initially the bowling wait was an hour. Took 20 minutes!!! So fast. So. Moving on. We came in to throw some axes. Mark O. was absolutely INCREDIBLE! I'm not even lying.. I couldn't hit the board when we started.. I ended at a solid 4 average lol!! Then we were contemplating between bowling and just getting some food. Mike was behind the bar and we were a bit nervous getting White Russians at a bowling alley... wow! They were perfect! We ultimately grabbed some delicious pizza and wings, and Mike stayed by our side the whole way through (even after we moved to a table around the corner). After filling our bellies with food and our souls with games, I ran back into Mark - who remember who we were, greeted us with a socially distanced elbow bump, and made us feel like we were part of the high 5 family once again. Ultimately the food was perfect for arcade/alley food, service was above and beyond; and pricing was right on par. We WILL be back!!! Group of 4 game Saturday after Thanksgiving.

My experience here was horrible! I am disappointed in the poor customer service. I ordered food from the bar and was charged twice for the incorrect order. The bartender didn't care to help me with the issue, and had no remorse. I will not send friends and family.

We had a bit of a bumpy start to our daughter's 13th birthday party when they lost our food order but they more than made up for it with how they responded to the issue. The manager working the Lakeway location on the 13th of November 2021 was super apologetic and went out of his way to make it right and ensure we were well taken care of. You can't say enough good things when someone recognizes they made an error and they truly want to make it right. We will definitely go back as it's so much fun with so many great activities for kids and adults and awesome food. Thanks for helping to make our daughters birthday so special and fun.

Had a wonderful time last night at High 5! Service in the food area was wonderful and it was Dylan who really made the night a complete success! It's employees like Dylan who really stand out and make a place like that even better, which is hard to do since everyone was great! I do want to be sure that management knows that Dylan was great and really made our evening the best! Thank you, Dylan!

We used to love this place and use go two to three times a week because our young boys enjoy the arcade. Several of the arcade games need and have needed work for a long time. Two of the three basketball games don't keep an accurate score. Two of the Super Cars racing machine have jacked up steering wheels. (The one on the far left and the one immediately to the right of that). The seat on the one on the left doesn't lock in position so kids are rocking back-and-forth to the whole race. Two of the ski ball machines don't have enough balls. The giant ball machine isn't working... Again. Wish it were better. Now we only go if we want to bowl.

I love High Five, we watched the Cowboys game here while bowling and it was awesome having the game up while playing. Food is REALLY good here, and between laser tag, the arcade, a bowling alley, and a bar there is something for everybody.

Very cleanly and new-feeling facility. It's hit or miss with these adult gaming spots, but we really enjoyed the environment here. It's a mix of bowling, laser tag and arcade games. I'd say there are fewer arcade games than most place I've visited, but it's a perfect place to get some fun in your life and be a kid again. There were several game not in working order the night we swung by, which is always a bummer, but we did enjoy ourselves on the games that worked. They have a full bar and food menu with all the bar staples. Bonus - you get a $5 gaming card by checking in on Yelp which is pretty darn awesome. We spent about $50 to play for a couple hours and leave with a hilarious "Pinky the Pickle" toy + way too much candy. For a small, lake town - this is a great way to spend a date night.

Over priced bowling and terrible food. Every time I go in the restaurant is dark and deserted. I've eaten there a couple of times and it was over priced and horrid. I don't know how they stay in business.

Where do I start? They advertise the upper level "Up Top" as an adult getaway, not for children, with bowling lanes for adults with adult beverages. Ha! Kids were ALL OVER up there, running and doing kid crap. When I asked the employee at the bowling counter he said the age restriction wasn't enforced. Great! Thanks for misleading customers on your website. The only thing worse was the customer service. Server wrote nothing down, forgot items, and got other items wrong. Never brought our apps, and had to get them removed from our bill. Bad experience all around and an embarrassment for our out of town guests.

Family went for afternoon bowling and late lunch. Unfortunately they appear to still operate on short and new staff. We were stuck waiting before we could begin - even though our lane was open/cleaned. Fun spot for younger kids. Food was fine. We may go back when there if there is a special or coupon. Value vs. cost is not quite there.

I will never return, I order a beverage an 8:15pm and was told I am not allowed to order any additional beverages. The manager on site explained that the manager leavening said my group was over the limit, thats far from the truth because we just arrived 30 minutes prior and order dinner and 1 drink. I have never been more mad at an establishment because they have grouped us with people we are not!

Here is the story that goes from a 1 to a 5. I had visited a few times and was really happy to see that Lakeway was finally going to offer a place for families to get together and have fun. Each time there were some challenges around service; however, they had great attitudes...which goes a long ways. After my third visit with the service challenge I decided to speak up and I used Yelp! as my platform...what I wasn't expecting was for someone to reach out to me...I spoke with the owner and was genuinely moved by his dedication to family, service, and building community through High 5! Having 15 years myself in customer service and leadership development, I truly appreciated his commitment...he wanted to listen to my callouts and I felt heard and seen. Like myself, this business is going to continue to grow stronger every day and I know that based on its leadership. I will be going back and I will be brining my family and I encourage others to do the same. I want to support local business and especially when it's fueled by great people with big hearts. Game on!

One word-LOUD. Oh my god LOUD. Why was it so LOUD?! As a parent to a small child I am used to a certain threshold for noise and I would say I have a pretty high tolerance for noise but seriously- wow. I didn't know that places could actually get this loud. Specifically the bowling alley, because they had the music BLASTING. I had to scream at our server and she still couldn't hear me so we had to communicate by pointing at the menus. My ears rang for an hour after we left. Moving on from the noise- this place is a lot like Dave & Busters or Main Event, but nicer, cleaner, newer, and better designed. The arcade is a nice size and has a good selection of games. The bowling alley is great, very modern and spacious. The bar area is very visually pleasing and I was happy with my drinks. We order some appetizers and kids meals as well and they were good. Overall, I would definitely go again but I seriously might bring earplugs. It would probably be a five star rating if it weren't for the insane loudness, and please know I am not exaggerating!

Be wary of using a credit card at this place. While the staff were very friendly, food was good, bowling alley was upstairs and very exclusive. I noticed the next day that my card had been charged twice with a phantom payment of $15.24. I called High 5 and got their voicemail, left a message but got no reply. The next day I called again and got someone at High 5 who explained that this is a regular occurrence and they get these calls all the time and the pending $15.24 payment would be removed after a few days. She still offered to transfer me to manager who could look into further. After transferring me, I again got to a voicemail and again left a message that was not returned. It seems odd going to a clean family friendly town like Lakeway and having this happen, something like this would make more sense down on dirty 6th in Austin perhaps.

The thought of coming back to High Five, as will certainly be demanded, does not make me want to weep or run away to Mexico. The place is clean--no sweaty reek of dirty feet. The design of the huge space is open and airy and very comfortable. Even to one for whom the concept of "play" is foreign and confusing, the games are awesome and enticing. High Five makes an excellent addition to Lakeway's kid fun offerings. It's also worlds better than anyplace like it we've found in Austin. Great party place and totally worth the trip from town.

Terrible food, the chicken wings smelled like fish. Do not, under any circumstances ever order food from this place. The health department needs to revisit immediately.

Great place for Family Fun! We took the kids (Age 8-10) for Lazer Tag, Bowling, and Arcades. I think kids & adults of all ages would enjoy this place. They all had a blast and ended up with prizes worthy keeping, including a thermal bottle & fun games, not the junk you typically see at an arcade then feel guilty for wasting all your cash. The Adults enjoyed $1 beers from a local brewery and food was really good. I'd recommend the Pork Cuban with Sweet Potato fries. Yum! We fed 3 kids and 2 Adults, with a few beers, for $43. You can't beat that! The place was really clean with something for everyone. Loved the Austin mural for a great photo opp. For sure five star entertainment!

This is a fun place to take the family and enjoy a decent selection of food/snacks that are pretty good while playing arcade games, bowling, or laser tag. Birthday parties here are pretty cool, too :)

We were in the area on a Saturday. We decided to give the place a try for lunch. Basically a bowling ally on two levels. The one downstairs appears more causal and the one upstairs a tad more formal. Nicer chairs up stairs. Then there are a bunch of video games. A bit like a David and Busters. Bars on top and bottom levels. A huge welcome to Austin mural on the downstairs level. Laughable since they are in Lakeway. We were able to talk to the executive chief about the food since he came out and asked us how things were. Our first comment is that jalapenos were not listed on the menu for the Shrimp Diablo. Maybe it should be implied? Why list everything but the jalapenos. This dish had too much BBQ sauce on it. The chip dip trio was ok. The queso and the pico was ok. The guac needed something. We ate about three bites of it. It was overly blended and tasted overly limed. My husband got the BBQ Prok sandwich with fries. The fries were overly salty. He did enjoy the sandwich. The 16 oz Thirsty Goat is $6.50 each. A tad high. The fountain drinks are huge and unlimited refills for $1.99. The wait staff was a tad slow. William never took our dirty dishes away and we had to flag him down to get our check. Then we basically had to take it up to the bar to have the card run. I think this could be a fun place for a night out with friends. I don't think we will return for a meal.

We love this place!! Love the new VR stuff they added. The prizes have been really dumbed down though which was disappointing to see. The Ukuleles all had broken strings and the 'scooter' looked good but broke within the week. We decided to save up a lot to buy some big fun stuff that we saw like the kayak, but by the time we went next, we realized they got rid of the bigger prizes and replaced them with boring, cheap stuff. Last year we bought a giant Pikachu and 2 ginormous dogs to donate to a school fundraiser! Please bring back the better quality cool prizes High 5!

Great place for a large group to get together. Bowling and golf simulator were great. Whole group had a blast.

High 5 Is full of class. You have all the joy of a classic arcade & bowling alley, but with a jolted upgrade! Two levels of bowling lanes and modernized decor, bright LED lighting, classic & new arcade style games. The games have gotten a fantastic upgrade via player cards which keep your ticket balance on the card! No more messy paper tickets to count! Hold a birthday party here or a date night in the 21+ bar. New updated bowling shoes to boot!
