I truly wish this shop were more upfront and consistent with their pricing. I called multiple times and was told a haircut would be $35, only to be charged over $50. The haircut itself was well done and my child looked great, but the lack of pricing transparency is incredibly frustrating. The board behind the front desk and the information online both list $35 as the cost for an adult haircut—no mention of price differences for fades or other services.
I was only informed after the fact that each barber sets their own rates. That’s fine, but that information should be made clear from the start, not sprung on customers after the service is done. On top of that, we didn’t request any extras like a hair wash, yet were charged for it without approval. As the parent paying for the service, I should’ve been informed beforehand—not surprised at checkout.
To make matters worse, the shop only accepts Venmo, Apple Pay, or cash. I had enough for the originally quoted price plus a tip, not $50+—so I had to run to the liquor store next door to get more cash. All of this, right before back-to-school expenses, just adds unnecessary stress.
Unfortunately, due to the lack of clear communication and poor customer experience, I don’t plan on returning.
