We really enjoyed this place. They have a good selection of beers. I liked the Hazy IPA. Service was great. I would definitely recommend this place.

Google
Decent beer, bartender wasn’t very welcoming, encouraged us to take the beer upstairs to drink.

Chad Risoldi

Google
Some of the best beer you’ll have. Period. The workers are all excellent, professional, and very helpful. I have yet to find a beer that isn’t absolutely delicious. Out of all of the breweries in the region this is one of my absolute favorites.

We recently had our baby shower at High Branch and it was amazing! We loved the space and got a lot of help setting up. Gabriel also was amazing with answering all of our questions and helping us pick a set up that would work for us. The space for the shower is great for groups of around 35-40, it’s awesome if you like more intimate events. We would definitely use them again.

Google
Awesome beer at good prices! Bar area is industrial style with pallets on the wall and concrete floors. There are yoga classes and trivia nights. Also, this is some of the best local craft beer in Charlotte. Kombucha, cold brew coffee, and others are available. Beer menus change constantly, so no recommendations there. Highly recommend this place!

Google
Really enjoyed the NEW location at Gibson Mill! Larger gathering spaces, including 2 private party rooms. Looking forward to returning when the upstairs is finished.

Google
First time going, and I must say I was utterly impressed with the quality of the beer, had 3 beers and each one was excellent. Will definitely be coming back.

We held our wedding rehearsal dinner at the private event space in High Branch Brewing Co and had a fantastic experience! We have always loved their beer and the new space. Gabe is in charge of events and was excellent to work with. He was very prompt, a great communicator, and took care of all the details for us. I would highly recommend holding events here - especially if you love great craft beer and service!

Yelp
High Branch Brewing was more of an unplanned stop and beer experience as it wasn't on my "to try" list at all but it proved to be a good experience! Steve and I shared the Imposter which was a Golden Stout. This is a type of stout that we don't encounter often but whenever we do and have one it's usually quite good. There was no exception to that here as this was an enjoyable one. Flavor features with this beer are coffee, vanilla, creamy and sweet. This stout was fairly light bodied when compared to the typical beer style which is a nice change of pace. So if you want something like a stout but without the feeling you are "eating" your beer this is a good one to try out.

Yelp
The beers were really good we had their Scoozi (Italian Pilsner), the No Cap (West Coast Pilsner), Irish Red Nitro (Irish Red Ale), and Breakfast Time (Imperial Stout). The place is really nice and big, loved their chill vibes, cool place to come and have one or two beers. The service was good.

Yelp
It's OK, layout not great. Brew was fair. Nothing outstanding. I got the impression it was mostly for young adults still living with their parents. Service was fine.

Yelp
Came in here recently while visiting the Gibson Mills Market upstairs. They are a smaller brewery with a modest taproom and laid back vibes. The service is friendly, the beers I tried were pretty good. The reason I wasn't more impressed to me was the lack of decor or identity. It felt kind of sterile in there and more like a coffee shop to take your lap top and work than a place to consume adult beverages with friends. If that is what you are looking for then this is certainly the place for you, some people might like a more relaxed atmosphere. As for me I just found it kind of forgettable and not somewhere I would seek out, but rather somewhere to grab a quick beverage while exploring the market upstairs. If you ask they will prepare a plastic cup so you can take your drink upstairs, and our server was very friendly so they certainly have that going for them. I can see how this place is appealing to some but it didn't quite feel like my jam. I wouldn't discourage anyone from trying it though and if a friend suggested it for a group outing I wouldn't turn it down!

Yelp
Super awesome place to hang out with friends. Kid friendly and food trucks are readily available. I love their new location and they're open to outside food. Cool little game store right in the building. 10/10 recommend

Yelp
Another great brewery going to crap!! Every time a brewery starts getting traction they change their philosophy and direction. I mean why pivot?? They had East coast IPAs down to a science. Not many misses! Then as they all do... "let's make bake sours and stouts." WHY?!!! My group of friends have turned away... sorry. Go back to what you're good at!! Know your market and know your customers.
google avatar

Yelp
My friend and I stopped here on our way to the Charlotte area. I tried two half pours since they do not offer flights, one was a pastry sour (I forgot the name) and the other was the promise ring (an IPA). Both beers were really good and so was the service.

Yelp
Stopped in while in Concord, was super hard to find within the plaza! Turns out it's behind the antique mall and underneath. Garage doors were closed and it didn't look open! Anyway, large space inside with plenty of tables and seating. Bar area is small and only fits about 8 people. Tv on projection screen. Connected to a board game cafe. Service is decent and beer as well. Ordered the lager and Cryo IPA, both were tasty and prices competitive. Would stop here again but nothing overly trendy and hard to find!

Yelp
Good beer do I need to say more. Always very good with questions about their beer and they have several events every month Thanks HB
google avatar

Kecia M.

Yelp
The new location is even better! Great location with great beverages! Inside/outside seating. Another brewery within walking distance. Food nearby. Also awesome antique mall, Gibson Mill Depot to spend some time and at.

Yelp
Terrible service! Can't speak to the quality of their beer as I waited 15 minutes before walking out. It was NOT busy and now I know why the brewery next door had hundreds of people and this place only had a handful. The female bartender was putting glassware away walking right past me, half the time. At least she was "working" the make bartender was just clueless. I had my wallet or credit card in my hand the entire time. Sign says something like we love dogs but they have to stay on the patio, except for the doodle who was sitting right at the bar Walked over to the brewery next door with hundreds of people and had a beer in hand within 2 minutes!

Allen L.

Yelp
Five stars are well deserved! We had a group reunion at their meeting space and was very pleased with their hospitality! Of course, their beer offerings were the Best! I couldn't recommend them higher!

Jan M.

Yelp
I held a private birthday party at High Branch Brewing in the Norway Hill event space. It was the perfect spot. They had everything set up and ready for me to decorate for the party. Very easy to work with and did agree at job clearing drinks throughout the party. if you are in need of a space check them out. Jan M

Yelp
This is a small brewery with some solid beer offerings. It's across the way from cabarrus brewing and up a flight of stairs. It's small and cozy, but the beer is great and the staff is friendly. They have a patio outside so you can enjoy your brew while you listen to the live music that is there on the weekends. There are also food trucks in the parking lot in case you get hungry. I had their hazy ipa called dislocated, if you like ipa beers then you should try it out. They also offer cans to go if you like what what you got on tap.

David T.

Yelp
This place was recommended by an employee of a brewery in Huntersville. We happened to be in Concord so took the opportunity to check it out. At first we weren't sure where to go. We followed the driveway adjacent to Cabarrus Brewing and ended up at the right place. Good selection of beers and the bar tender was helpful in making selections. He told us a good court is to be opening up on the 2nd floor
google avatar

Tanner A.

Yelp
New location, very nice. They have some good sour offerings along with interesting Stouts. Would like to see some West Coast IPA offerings. So sick of hazy only menus, how many hazy IPAs does one place need? Would love to see Norway Hill again:)

Yelp
This is a great brewery and I'm really excited to see them continue to grow. My boodle (husband) and I stopped in to High Branch because we wanted to try something new. The brewery is in an old mill that is attached to several other stores. They have a large deck off the front and plenty of parking nearby. I was hoping for more beer options at High Branch but was extremely satisfied with the IPA I ordered. It had great flavor, and I would definitely get it again. The decor inside is really nice and modern, and I like the overall atmosphere of the brewery. I'm looking forward to seeing more beer variety and going back in the near future!
google avatar

Ivelisse M.

Yelp
Their hazy IPA's are out of this world. My son was here from FL and he wanted to try their selections. We all loved it!! We went twice and took some back home. Although he flew back to FL, hubby & I will now be regular customer.

Yelp
A nice little brewery right beside the much larger Cabarrus brewery. We came out here for food truck Friday and met a friend. He said we should pop in early and grab a pint at his favorite concord brewery. Was a little confused on how to find it but once we parked in the main lot we saw the stairs and it was pretty easy from there. The beer here was exceptional. They really are putting in the work to make delicious craft beer. I was surprised by the taste of my IPA and had to give it a great score on Untappd. I heard they recently did some renovations so I'm not sure what it was like before but the inside was tastefully decorated. Plenty of seating including a somewhat covered patio with lights. They have local art dawning the walls with business cards so you can look up your new favorite artist. The staff were extremely kind and helpful and overall happy to see you there. They talked craft beer and it was good to see they had a connection to the community. Definitely will go back soon!!

Yelp
I really liked this brewery. The environment was great and décor was cool. There is an indoor and outdoor patio space. The outdoor patio overlooks Cabarrus Brewery. You have to walk up a lot of stairs to get to the back area, which was ok by me. I was excited to try the beers and check out the scene. The service was good and the bartender was very nice. She let me try numerous samples until I finally decided on a flight (big surprise) that's what I get everywhere. They have some pretty delicious beers. I would come back just for the atmosphere because I enjoyed it so much. But the beers are good too!
google avatar

Griffin T.

Yelp
This little local brewery may not get the acclaim of its larger neighbor Cabarrus Brewing, but they are killing it with their handcrafted masterpieces. I met a few friends here for food truck Friday and decided to try High Branch for the first time. I liked that High Branch wasn't nearly as busy as Cabarrus and I didn't have to stand in line. I had "Boys to the Bar" and it was extraordinary! It had a really crisp taste. Everything I tried here had great flavor. Also, the bartenders were extremely friendly and helpful when trying to decide on a beer and offered free samples to taste first. The seating options included outdoor tables on the deck with umbrellas and cool wooden furniture inside. Will definitely be back.
google avatar

Beth B.

Yelp
Been wanting to come here for a bit. They were not open when we visited the neighboring brewery and we do not get to Concord often. So we decided to try it out before a Saturday concert. We hoofed up the stairs and walked in to a much smaller brewery than expected considering the large building it is located. They had a decent brew menu. Bar was full and we did not have much time so we shared an IPA and sat at a nearby table. It was not the best but fair. Friendly staff, clean place and they had a food truck which is always a plus for a brewery. It is not a brewery I would think about to go and bring friends. It has potential and should partner with the neighboring brewery for events to bring more patrons to the area .

Yelp
Nano brewing indeed! I guess, technically this is Concord's first Brewery as they beat Cabarrus by a couple of months! As most people mention if you're approaching from the side facing the road, go through the entrance that says "US Matress", go to the back of the building through a sliding wooden door and High Branch is on the right. If you're already at Cabarrus, you can look across the way and see the sign (walk across the lot and up one flight of stairs, then make a Louie). The high ceilings and exposed brick walls made me think this place would make an awesome loft apartment (or a Brewery). Admittedly I only tried one beer. Having read the descriptions, there was really only one I wanted to taste (two others I might have liked, had big black Xs through them on the menu). The Quick Learner Session IPA was solid but came across my palate as closer to a Farmhouse Hybrid - not bad, just different. The craft beer scene has finally landed in Concord!
google avatar

Lindsay W.

Yelp
We finally got to stop by and visit some of the Concord breweries. I loved the atmosphere of this place! The decor is just lovely. I loved the old paint on the brick walls, the palate decor, the bar and bar back, and also the old building they are in. You can tell the guys who put this together have their heart and soul in the place. The bartender was very kind and welcoming. They did have NFL playing on Sunday, but not to the level where it was distracting or taking over everyone's experience. The beers were pretty good. It seems as though they like to make saisons, which I enjoyed getting to have and taste. I love that they do flights. They had a little bit of something for everyone. I do not see myself driving from Charlotte to hang out here, but I do love this spot. It is chill and comfortable, and I love all the options you can have on a smaller brew system. I really enjoyed my time.

Yelp
I found myself in Concord for a few hours, did a yelp search for breweries and found that High Branch had opened up just 3 weeks ago. What was I to do? First, this place isn't that easy to find. I posted a couple of pictures to help you locate it. It is on the lower floor of a large building called the Gibson Depot. Upstairs is an antique mall, downstairs has some other businesses (but mostly empty). Ask questions, as the people around there all know where its at, and they were friendly to point me in the right direction. Being new, they don't have much in the way of signage, but they do have a banner out front (hard to see after dark). This is a really small operation right now. The brewmaster was also pouring in the tap room. I believe he said he could make 3 barrels at the time, or about 90 gallons. On opening night he said he almost ran out of beer and glasses to serve in. He also said he was ordering the equipment to double his production. You can see the brewing room and equipment from the tap room. I took a picture and its so small compared to the other breweries I've been to. The atmosphere here was kind of rustic due to the exposed brick walls and the old time feel of the building they are located in. Plus the tap room is sort of bare bones, but well done. He mentioned that they sometimes have a food truck, but they didn't the night I came. I saw that status on their Twitter feed, so I stopped and bought some food to bring along with me. Lastly, the beer. They had about 6 beers on tap. A brown Ale, a Saison, a Stout, a Double IPA, IPA, and non-alcoholic guest tap Ginger beer. I first tried the Double IPA, the Big Sis, which I thought was very good. Then I went for the regular IPA, Little Sis, and it was also very good. I saw several people order the Brown Ale and they seemed impressed with that one. This is the first brewery in Concord and its well done and worth a visit.
google avatar

Michael B.

Yelp
After stopping in at Cabarrus Brewing, we saw High Branch and decided to head over there after our sampling a flight at Cabarrus. The tap room is located on the second floor of an old mill - they have a large wooden deck you can walk up to from the parking lot that is open to the tap room. The tap room looks nice, with wooden chairs and some tables lined up. The bar is copper, and everything looks like a high class bar, not a tap room or brewery. With your back to the bar - you can see the entrance to the deck area, as well as the opening to the brewing vats, it's a small area and they seem to have produced some volume with them. That is where the experience went down hill for us - first the tap room looked nice - too nice. The bartender also had the attitude of a over confident snob, he had an attitude the entire time we were there. After approaching the bar with a smile, I asked how much were flights. He looked at me in disdain with his comedic strong man mustache, and said "we don't serve flights," like I was the crazy person for entering a brewery and asking for a flight! Any brewery or taproom that does not offer flights will NEVER get higher than a 3 star review from me - you're a brewery, and the tap room is there to SAMPLE beers! High Branch lost more due to the terrible attitude the bartenders. It was the last of 4 breweries we visited that day, and easily the worst. Having endured the bartenders attitude, I made him give me a sample of every beer on-tap that they brewed. The had a lot of guest taps, but I wanted to sample beers I didn't get elsewhere. There was only one beer that was good - it was a Coconut Pounder, and I did like it alot. While I would have liked to take some home, I just didn't care to support the brewery. I was hoping for a good homey brewery that was welcoming and fun. Instead, I felt like I walked out a pretentious hipster version of Mean Girls...with beer....it just did not make sense to me and I don't plan on returning. If you are in the area - goto to New Sarum or Cabarrus instead - if you are not in the area, don't bother making the trip.

Yelp
This brewery has a unique offering, so they'll never be everyone's favorite, but for those that appreciate what they're doing (Belgian inspired, hazy, sours, etc.). If you're looking for the common brewery with standard offerings (that are nice, yet not exceptional), Cabarrus is yards away. That said, I was with a large group that had just left the brewery across the way, and spotted High Branch. Not wanting to delay the group, but to still get something out of my proximity (I was visiting from 2,000 miles away), I shot in, chatted up the barkeep for about 90 seconds, and almost immediately, she had a 4-pack in front of me (this is what you want) and three samples (because these represent what we do). All the samples were exceptional (the sours were phenomenal), and the "Is It Hoppy" hazy IPA makes me sad, only because I can't get anymore (again, living 2,000 miles away). Phenomenal beer. Exceptional, friendly, understanding and knowledgeable service. Also, having made a petty personal goal of trying as many local beers as possible within the week I was in the North Charlotte area, this place's offerings were my favorite. Thumbs up.
google avatar

Yelp
Ten unique wooden taps, plenty of exposed brick and wooden seats, and southern-friendly service make High Branch a beer geek destination in the growing community of Concord. I was impressed with a tart peach ale called Candor with a Charlotte Craft Beer Week event at Wooden Robot earlier in the week, so decided to take a weekend excursion with the great weather. High Branch is directly across the warehouse complex from Cabarrus Brewing; High Branch is to Cabarrus as Birdsong was to NoDa (the original locations)...smaller, but making great beer and being both exploratory and ambitious with their tap list. It is ok to bring an appetite, as there were two food trucks on site on a Saturday afternoon in April, funnel cakes and Master Bacon. High Branch has caught my attention as one of the best breweries outside of Charlotte city limits, but still in the metro area; not having been down to Fort Mill and Rock Hill yet, I would rate them up with D9.
google avatar

Seth R.

Yelp
Best brewery in Cabarrus County. Small tap room but the outdoor patio is great on a nice day. The beers are very very good. I tend to stick with their hazy ipa's but I don't think that I have had a bad beer here. The staff is friendly and very helpful if you're not sure which beer you want. High branch has become a routine stop for my wife and I. The staff make you feel like family and the tasty beers keep you wanting more.
google avatar

Yelp
A surprising little gem. Great beers and a quant atmosphere keeps this place down to earth. The prices are right and you can get some meat and or cheese trays to hold you off until you can get to one of the menu great places to eat in the area. Check them out, you won't be disappointed.

Jared C.

Yelp
I hate to admit it, but I'm an IPA snob (Burial 4ever). Usually, I try a 'juicy/hazy' offering at a NC brewery, and am left wanting for something more decent. No such feelings at HBB. Not only did they give me the NE IPA fix I wanted, but their brews are unique and different. On Tour and Diamond Ring are wonderful. Highly recommend. Don't waste time across the lot. Drink HBB.

Yelp
Hard to find, just ask around and someone will get you there. Small and quaint brewery, super friendly staff and some good beer. We went antique shopping in the afternoon and decided that we deserved a few beers! Main focus seems to be on lighter beers than dark heavy beers. They had a stout but were out of it when I was there. We got a flight to sample there beers, my favorite out of them was the Lil Sis. Cant wait to see what else they put out on my next venture over!
google avatar

Amber H.

Yelp
Disapointing experience, very poor service. We got there about 30 minutes before close, waited 20 minutes while the bartender leisurely filled a growler. We were the only customers in line and she knew we were there because she kicked out a customer for their dog barking like 3 times next to us. One of the regulars reminded her we were waiting she still refused to serve us because she yelled last call while her back was turned.....it was bizarre and rude. I have worked as a bartender and that was just plain ridiculous.
google avatar

Jimmy T.

Yelp
Yucatan is aged on local chocolate habaneros from Green Meadow Acres in Concord, vanilla beans, and cinnamon sticks. Super smooth with a nice thick body and only a hint of heat on the back end due the medium hot peppers not being Super Hots. This is my new favorite!
google avatar

James S.

Yelp
High Branch is located in the Gibson mall.. all the way in the absolute back. The best way to get here is to park out back and follow the trail of signs. Up some wooden patio stairs, through a garage door. I dont know what it is with this area and the bizarre paths to get somewhere. You cant just go in a door. That would be way to easy. They put you through the paces following signs, up stairs, through cubby holes and weird doors to get in a brewery. This place is also low buck. You enter through a roll up garage door. No joke. Inside its an old warehouse space with a pallet theme of decoration. The bar is new and features a copper top which is pretty cool. The place was filled to capacity when I visited, standing room only. The bartender was super friendly and got me samples and helped compile a flight with some cool recommendations on one off beers. Nice line up. Samples pints growler fills and flights all available. No nonsense straight ahead service. Beer was a mixed bag, with some awesome pours, and some not so awesome. I really like this place. I like what they're doing. The place cleared out and I got a seat and enjoyed some beers. The restroom was down a long hallway, down stairs, and under the stairs. Just crazy, yet clean and adequate. Cool place to visit and within walking distance of Cabarrus brewing, right next door. I'm a fan.

Yelp
Hands down, best Brewery in Concord/Charlotte area. You can tell how much they care about crating a great brew.
google avatar

Caroline M.

Yelp
We love High Branch! Amazing beer, great atmosphere and family friendly. I am always happy to support a local business and they are doing an excellent job.
google avatar

John H.

Yelp
Awesome brewery. The taproom is cozy and very well done. As for the beer... I had the Honey Drip (IPA) and Pounder (Pale Ale). They were delicious. The only caveat I give is that they are hazy/unfiltered. I prefer filtered but they were still great.
google avatar

Jessica L.

Yelp
Definitely will be coming back. Located on the side of the depot of Gibson mill -antique mall. They have entrance throw the building or you can enter from the patio outside by going around the building out back. Great location to go shopping and to have a couple drinks.
google avatar

Justin M.

Yelp
I love High Branch! I'm so glad that Concord is starting to get into the craft beer boom. This is something that this area has needed for a looooong time! As for the beers, they have a solid lineup of core beers, and normally have a few small batches (I guess everything is a small batch when you're brewing on a 3bbl system), but everything I've ever had from these guys has been solid. I highly recommend checking them out. Once Cabarrus Brewing Co. opens right across the parking lot, the Gibson Mill area is going to be an awesome destination for local residents!
google avatar

Dorothy ..

Yelp
Grand opening today! Great turnout. They will be open only 2 days a week in the beginning.. Friday and Saturday s. But plan on adding more days in future. GREAT Craft Brewers beer!!!
google avatar

Yelp
Yum yum. If you like toffee Imposter is for you. A really good after taste and not too strong. Unique beers and its not the same ole same ole.
google avatar

Haven K.

Yelp
The beer is very good and the atmosphere is quaint. I love the location and what they've done to repurpose the space. The owner and brewer is very nice, and clearly loves what he is doing.

Matthew J.

Yelp
Fantastic location and space. Great beers and good music. Football games on the projector from time to time. The deck area is perfect during good weather. Can prices can be a little high but, otherwise a great place.

Mike S.

Yelp
Very tasty and diverse beer lineup - especially for a new brewery. Their "Ripe" raspberry saison is on point. Love the rustic setting. Exposed brick, garage door that opens to deck, and glass looking into brew house. Nice, knowledgeable guys working the taproom and a fun crowd (Fri. night). Much better vibe than the cafeteria feel I got from the other brewery across the way. If looking for the real deal, head to High Branch. Support true local craft!
google avatar

Daniel B.

Yelp
High Branch is great! No matter what, it will always be Concord's first brewery. The taproom is quite small and a little challenging to find, but the beer makes it well worth it! The Little Sis and Big Sis IPAs are exactly what I look for in an IPA: slightly bitter, a hint of citrus, and they don't taste like I'm eating hops. The taproom is well designed and the decor truly highlights Gibson Mill's industrial heritage. Time will tell if the first brewery in Concord remains at the top, but I think High Branch has what it takes to maintain its position as the best of the bunch.

Joanne B.

Yelp
This is my favorite brewery. The beer is outstanding. The tap room has an intimate and rustic atmosphere that is welcoming. Wonderful and knowledgeable staff. I can't say enough good things about High Branch Brewing. Do yourself a favor and check it out.

Diane Y.

Yelp
Visited High Branch Brewery last night for the first time and loved it. Small space was filled to capacity. Good beer, a hidden gem that more and more folks will find now that Cabarrus Brewing Company is right across the lot. Everyone will win!

Michael C.

Yelp
This brewery was a pleasant surprise after shopping the antique mall. We ordered a flight and liked all four choices, especially the Milltown Brown ale, McGill Ave IPA, Late Addition stout. Food trucks made a nice addition. Open patio
