Traffic is a mess, the location is a mess, honestly this Farmers Marker had gone downhill drastically. Lacking vendors and everything is so spread out. I miss when it was on Bear Valley Rd. by the old Restaurant classes bldg., that was many moons ago. As a such that works in a professional setting; walking through the dirt / wind isn’t always ideal. I’ve learned ways around that but the Farmers Market seems so sloppy now. From the location to the vendors. It’s more of a hassle than a help to go here.

the strawberries I got here are to die for! I love that you can get super fresh & flavorful seasonal fruit here that is farm fresh & super tasty ~ an awesome way to spend your thurs morning 🤤 not only can you find the freshest produce in the area, but there are lots of food truck/stalls to get your grub on 😸

Loved the vendors & the fresh fruits, vegetables & eggs! This is great for the community, especially in these times🤯 My only complaint has to do w/traffic control...., took us 25 mins to get out of the Farmer' Market parking lot. Next time we will just hike in.

Google
The new event area is not great at all. People are rude and don’t let you in or out. You can only come in one way when I was already coming from my house the other way. Parking is in the dirt. So packed and people parking in the middle of the walkway cause parking is not clear. I liked it better before. Other than that I love this farmer market and love supporting local vendors.

Google
I had a wonderful time shopping for fresh produce and vegetables. This establishment open every Thursday 9am-12pm.

Google
I love this little market. It has a little bit of everything. Nice to spend a half-hour or hour at. Get a little snack and a few bags of fresh produce.

Google
I love t good here on my breaks. I just don't like all the dust where it is located now.

Google
Attention food trucks! You are more likely to get business with seating and shade. It matters.

Yelp
Really good other than it being outside and very windy ...great space at Victor Valley College...fresh fruit and fresh vegetables, we bought fresh hummus and pita bread as well ...ginormous strawberries...the samples made us buy a flat of them ...fresh mushrooms ..fresh baked goods..lots of food trucks ready with hot food! Every single vendor treated us when we walked by and offered us a sample....WOW! We saw a pony, a couple llamas, a goat and lots of furbabies wandering around on their leases ...

Yelp
Great farmers market with many vendors. I finally made it out here to check it out. Thursdays from 8:00 am to 12 noon. It's at the community college. Plenty of parking but it is on dirt and there is a short walk. Not too bad even with my arthritic knees. I came here to find some heirloom carrots since I like them in the bean soup I am making. There is plenty of seasonal produce available. It is autumn so there are assorted persimmons and apples just in time for the holidays. I found the heirloom carrots at the very last produce stand at the market. The carrots still had the tops on them so those will be for the wild rabbits that come at night to my house. I bought a dozen tamales from the Tamale Guy. There were so many choices including vegetarian and dessert ones. I bought two each of the chicken, beef, pork, beef and olive, pineapple and raisin, and sweet corn to try. So delicious so this may be a go-to for tamales. The chicken one was especially tasty! I will try more of the vegetarian varieties next time. I was feeling a little thirsty so I bought a peach oolong tea from the Tea Life vendor. It came with basil seeds, rainbow jelly, and a slice of fresh peach. So refreshing and not too sweet. On my way out, I purchased three loaves of bread from the Old Town Bakery Company stand. It was so hard to choose since there were so many varieties! I selected the Squaw Bread, the Jalapeño Cheese, and the Sourdough Whole Wheat. The Squaw Bread is excellent, one of the best I have tasted! This farmers market is definitely worth checking out. There are other vendors selling items other than produce so there is plenty to see and find.

Yelp
Great place to walk around a shop for all different kind of things. You'll see food vendors, fresh produce, Art and so much more. It's a wonderful way to start a Thursday morning. Open every Thursday 8:00-12:00

Yelp
How are you going to get rid of the best coffee shop this pathetic farmers market has ever had ! Lucy's was the best thing about this place and even under the new management team ( David and Patricia), they were the nicest people and so willing to satisfy all their customers ! Their drinks were amazing ! After realizing the stupid lady who is in charge of this farmers market (Kerri) got rid of them bc she didn't like the fact David was disabled and has a condition whitch dosent allow him to walk at far distances , she'd make him park in the dirt way in the other side, and he wouldn't ... bc he couldn't! This lady (Kerri) has a stick up her ass! NEVER EVER will I come to this stupid ass farmers market again!

Yelp
I love getting all my veggies, fruits & eggs here. So much better than buying from grocery stores where they use chemicals & contaminate our food.

Yelp
Finally made it out to the HD farmers market after living up here almost a year. It was great! About 30 vendors or so. Great coffee by Solo Brew & Roasters and delicious pupusas by SOLe Pupuseria. I got there at about 11:15 and the vendors all seemed friendly and had great items. Can't wait to go back and try the pastries, churros and fresh vegetables.

Yelp
Very cute place, friendly people, delicious food. I love the food truck with the gluten free Teriyaki and amazing aguas frescas. I have purchased sea moss and other great products here. I always have a nice time even if I don't buy anything. I have been here alone and with family. A bonus is the fish hatchery if you keep on driving on the street the Farmers Market is on. My son had a great time at both.
google avatar

Yelp
Not a lot of vendors but they have some great fish , and locally made yogurt, peanut butter and a variety of other venders

Yelp
I go specifically to purchase 4-5 items. And if I don't find them, I don't buy anything else. Today, there are not a lot of little shops. I was hoping to buy some good avocados from the regular guy that I buy from, but he wasn't there. I used to go all the way down to Rancho Cucamonga to purchase sourdought bread. I recently found out that they bring it to the market. It is the best sourdough you can buy. I got myself some kombucha. This kombucha is the tastiest kombucha I have ever tasted. It cannot compare with the stuff you buy at the store.

Yelp
Was one of the first places I have visited when we moved to apple valley! During the fall it's a blast and a great place to pick up some gifts and food for the holiday parties!

Yelp
I've lived in the HD for almost 12 years and finally visited the farmers market. I was pleasantly surprised! It was much larger than I anticipated. There were lots and lots of venders. My favorites........the hummus, the goat cheese, the fresh bread and the Tamale Guy. All are a must try! I left after spending $100 amongst all 4 vendors. When I'm off work on a Thursday again, I'm definitely going back!!!!!!

Yelp
I am a huge fan of farmers markets in general and I don't know why I was so ignorant to think there couldn't possibly be one by me in the desert. Uhhh...wrong! It's on the lower college campus lot and quite big, over 20 vendors I would say. So glad I was driving on Bear Valley road thursday morning or else I would have never known. I sure wish it was open during the afternoons or weekends but thursday morning is when its at. Great, fresh and local baked goods, fruit and veggies and some food trucks was all it took for me. The vendors are all great, the stuff all yummy, I'll be back any thursday I get a chance to!

Yelp
I love coming here, wish there were more stands. The high desert needs to support more local businesses! So we can see our farmers market expand , love the hummus, kettle corn , and fresh bread. Especially the fruits and veggies!

Yelp
Good farmers market. A little on the small size. I wish there were more vendors but a few really stood out- like the bread guy! Great selection, good prices, and friendly attitude. I will go back now that I have a good feeling for the place. The parking is convenient and it is easy to find. I just wish there was more selection of goods.

Yelp
Always a good time here! So many good vendors to choose from! They have lots of good booths to check out! Nice fruit and meat vendors too! I wish it was going all week

Yelp
From farm fresh produce to band merch this market has literally everything. Fresh home baked sweet treats, hummus, seafood, honey, food trucks, coffee carts, jewelry, skin care, custom bows and aprons, construction/home makeover, healthcare, NFL stuff, the list goes on. I was stoked to find their Instagram account and see all of the small businesses they have, it's about time we start supporting each other.

Yelp
They have fresh fruit and vegetables every Thursday morning. The same guys are here each week with their trucks and they have really nice stuff for sale. They have a few ladies who sale jewelry and trinkets. I like to wonder around and see who has what for sale. I was actually able to find my Tupperware lady and my Avon lady both here during a typical farmers market. You never know who is going to have a booth and what they are going to be offering. When I skip a few weeks I am surprised at how many new people start booths and they are always growing. I highly recommend the local honey. It is amazing and I don't even really eat honey very often. I was surprised to see how many local bee people we have in the desert. I only dislike that the parking can get crappy because the college can get busy.

Yelp
Really nice market. I went there yesterday with some friends... We were really hungry looking for a place to eat at and found a falafel stand. Being middle eastern and all makes me very picky... But that place falafel express made some very good falafel sandwiches. They make better falafel then the authentic restaurants I've visited in Jerusalem!! Will visit again when I'm in the area.

Yelp
Had a great visit to this farmers market this morning, I've walked through it before when I used to attend VVC but I remember it being much smaller, so many new vendors this time around and so many families with kids and pups wandering around, everybody was so happy and smiley! I'll definitely make it a regular visit from now on! Great deals on incredibly fresh produce, the smell of the fruits and veggies makes you want to buy everything! Some farmers offer free samples of their fruits, so sweet! (literally) My favorite part was seeing the Tonyan Coffee booth, a local coffee roaster that I've been wanting to visit for too long but couldn't because it's out of my way, I'll stop here every week just for the coffee, it was that good!

Yelp
I recently went to the Farmers Market at the beginning of September 2019 and it was my first time going. It was such an amazing experience seeing all the different vendors. I really liked the big sunflowers that I had purchased there.

Yelp
I go here for the vegetables. Specifically for the Asian vegetable booth. Some of the prices are too high. The booth with eggs charges way too much, I don't even look at their booth anymore.... The Asian produce booth has decent prices, so I pretty much go to them and no one else. The day and hours really suck! It should be on a weekend and open more hours. If anything they should be open for a little longer or they should open earlier so folks on their lunch breaks can come by or they can stop by before work. The market opens after people get to work and this place is closing up by the time people are out on their lunch breaks. And there is nothing like this anywhere in the area on the weekends.... If the farmers market was open on weekends there could also be a food truck opportunity here as well. Just my 2 cents

Yelp
Really great little market. We need more of these so I'm glad that it's there for us. I wish it was still in upper campus but other than that no complaints. Lots of variety, cool things to buy, local businesses to support. Awesome.

Yelp
My husband and I really enjoyed the morning attending this farmers market. It wasn't overly crowed and had a mature crowd, therefore allowing you to actually take your time and view what the different vendors have to offer. My husband was beyond fond of castaways seafood vendor that was there, he bought quite a few different sea food from there. As for myself, I really enjoyed the doterra essential oils vendor, which is the number one top selling oils of today. I purchased the whole set and trust me when I say I am VERY pleased with my purchase. Every vendor that we went to the service was spectacular. Would highly recommend this place if you want a little morning get away.

Yelp
Been going to this farmers market for many years now and it just keeps getting better. You'll see the difference in how long fresh produce lasts over any store bought. Many local offerings including several farmers, Real Country Meats, and Ding Bat bars. Delicious sausages from Schreiner's. Awesome sprouted hummus and the mushroom's are simply wonderful in any dish. Would like to see a cheese merchant return.

Yelp
So happy the HD has a farmers market! Looking for things to do with my kids on summer break. They really enjoyed it here! The vendors are all pretty nice. There is a vendor who sells a jalepeño cilantro hummus and pita chips! So good. Nice fresh produce, taco lady, Lucy's Frap house. I will definitely try that this Thursday. I would suggest an umbrella as it was so hot and the kids were getting very sweaty. I spent 10 and got 3 baskets of strawberries, 2 baskets of cherry tomatoes, 2 pound of beets, and grapefruit. Good deal! Definitely coming back. And a bonus my kids had fun trying samples and just walking around seeing all the cute dogs people bring with them. Good times! Be coming back every week for my juicing veggies and fruits for sure.

Yelp
In addition to fresh locally grown produce, Cathy's nut butters and Non's Specialty Foods hummus, tabouleh and pita bread are amazing! They also have fresh agave honey(so vegan!) and organic teas. Don't get me started on the non food items!

Yelp
Great little farmers market. Friendly vendors. Nice selection. The only downfall is the owner/manager has no business dealing with people. Rude and disrespectful. She gets zero stars. Lucky for her people go for the vendors.

Bella M.

Yelp
I come here almost every Thursday to get as much fruits and veggies from local farmers. I try to not purchase fruits/veggies from stores. It's nice to go out for a walk and see all the different craft venders and specialty food venders. I would definitely recommend coming here. I would like to see more unique craft venders who make their stuff from scratch. I just don't like seeing venders who sell stuff that's already made and resell.

Yelp
You do all your produce, bread and cheese shopping here! It is cheaper and the quality of food is better than any local super market. There are also food trucks and vendors.
google avatar

Kevin L.

Yelp
Love the fresh produce and the fresh air. Friendly vendors and happy people make this a weekly stop.

Shannon O.

Yelp
I wish this market was open on an afternoon and/or early evening so those of us who work could go too.
