High Park Bar & Grill

Stopped in before leaving town.... great bar food... great service and nice outdoor seating. The outside is dog friendly as well. Good menu with all sorts of things to pick from. Cuban and the Reuben were both tasty.

High Park Bar & Grill is a great spot for a laid-back late night out in Raleigh. The late-night menu is solid, with plenty of comfort food options to keep the night going. The crowd is lively and fun—definitely not a dive bar, but not fancy either, just a relaxed neighborhood hangout. Good service, plenty of TVs for sports, and a casual vibe make it a reliable go-to. They had good fried okra always a win!

They serve 2 good varieties of dry rub wings. A lemon pepper and a Cajun. They have some good live music on Friday night. Low key, servers and staff were great and in the drivers seat the whole time we were there.

Checked High Park Bar & Grill on a Saturday evening during college football. The bar side and outdoor patio were packed. We were immediately seated in the dining room. Greeted by an awesome waitress. We asked what her favorite things on the menu were. She gave us a great run down, with an extensive knowledge of their large menu choices. The beef tips over mashed potatoes were excellent! Our dinner salads were incredibly fresh and equally delicious. Wife order the four-choice veggie plate. Our whole dinner was delicious. Not your ordinary bar food. The place is huge, and the bar top is huge. TVs scattered throughout the bar and dining areas. A couple of dart boards and video games as well. Would love to sample their wings. A definite return to restaurant.

I was craving wings on a Friday night at midnight and this place was open so I took a chance and boy am I thankful I did. The place was a super chill and good vibe but also their wings were amazing and definitely worth the trip. Pictured below are their buffalo wings. They even include little finger wipes, it’s the small things that show a businesses dedication to a good experience! Will be returning for sure.

Recently had a work social luncheon there. Wait staff very attentive and kind. The area was clean, comfortable and accommodating to our needs. Food came out fresh and timely and everyone thoroughly enjoyed our experience. It's oftentimes hard to find places that are customer friendly, but High Park came thru for us and we highly recommend! Thank you for your excellent service and friendly staff!

This place was a chill place to go talk to friends and grab a drink. There wasn’t a lot of people when I went and the service was okay. It took them 45 mins to bring out my salad.. which I don’t understand why but the salad WAS good. The drinks were okay. After my experience I think it’s just a good place to grab a beer and watch a game. Not going for dinner.

This is a laid-back and welcoming atmosphere with great service. The food hit the spot, juicy burgers, crispy wings, and generous portions. A solid spot for casual dining, drinks with friends, or watching the game. I enjoy the outdoor tables. Definitely worth a visit.

This place has great I got a mushroom Swiss burger and I don't like mushroom but now I do thanks to this place everything was cooked perfectly they have games here to play too like pool and ping pong. Great service and great place to watch a football game 5 stars

I was there for all the hash brown drama that occurred on Mother's Day. No one was notified that the hash brown king of Henderson was coming in to town to test our hashbrowns on Mother's Day yet he showed up and did not like the hashbrowns and let everybody know it that's the long and short of it my friends that work there handled it I think extremely well. I didn't hear anything while I was there although The individual that is known as the hash brown king of Henderson had to be removed.

This is a great lunch option! Menu is large and varied with lots of pub fare, southern items and some healthy stuff as well. It's giant inside and has outdoor seating as well for nice days. You can actually carry on a conversation and hear it which is another plus. Quality of the food for our recent weekday lunch was really good. Can highly recommend the blackened fish and the squash. Green beans were the usual Southern style canned cooked to death. Another in our group was happy with the fish and chips. Prices reasonable. They are open for all kinds of different things including brunch. Plenty of strip shopping center parking. This is between Wake Forest Road and Five Points in the shopping center with Ladyfingers Catering and where J Betskis relocated.

I have been to this bar before and always had a good time with my friends, I am not one to leave reviews but what happened just now is absolutely horrible and ridiculous. I went to the bar with my group of friends, we get drinks and food. My friend accidentally spilled his glass of water and I begin to clean it. But as I am cleaning it up this bartender, a blonde girl with questionable winged eyeliner, FLINGS a rag at my friend who is simply eating his food that he payed for. It lands on his food and after this we attempt , to ask the bartender what we can to do deescalate the situation and fix it. She continues to mock us and be aggressive. After point black one of our friends asked her why she being so aggressive she then begins to smile and laugh in our faces telling us to get out "her bar". After this we decide to leave the establishment but not before she tells our friend that "his people are rambunctious" and begins to make microagressions. Continuing to say "his people" don't need to be at a bar and "his people" should leave. We are also a group of 5 minority friends. Unfortunately we now do not feel as though this is a safe place for "our people" to attend. Extremely disappointing in 2025.

No frills sports bar! They have plenty of TV's inside and outside, and the wait staff was very accommodating to changing the channels for different football teams. Members of my party ordered fried pickles and mozzarella sticks to start which were good! Ordered the 6 wings + 1 slice of pizza for $12 which was a great deal. The mango habanero flavor was delicious. Definitely would return!

Visited this place today. I was super excited to see the diverse atmosphere. Until I wasn't greeted for 15-20 minutes which would of been okay if this place was jammed packed. It was in fact not packed at all!!! There were two young ladies at the bar who not once spoke to me. It took a young gentleman from the back to come back to the bar and greet me an take my drink order. I appreciate him for just acknowledging me and making sure I had a decent experience! Not sure I would recommend this place! Didn't bother to have any food after this experience!

I love this bar. The food is very affordable and well-cooked, and the staff is great. You can tell the management is on their game. One of my favorites is their breakfast menu, because of the hashbrowns. The kitchen staff always makes them to my liking and seem very accommodating for their customers' custom orders. I do not know what they cook their potatoes in, but these hashbrowns are the best I ever had. I saw some man child lose it the other day because of peppers in his hashbrowns. After crying like a baby and making a scene his obviously embarrassed family sent him to sit in the car and pout. Comical based on all of the great experiences I have had eating here.

Best wings in town, TVs surround you for any sports you want to see. When super busy servers are still great!

It's a bar so it was fun to watch a game here. It was the clubhouse sandwich with okra for my husband and a beer and the beef tips over mashed potatoes with apple sauce and lima beans for me. Both options were really good and so was the service. If you are into sports, check out High Park.

Trash. I literally told the cute slim bartender what I wanted on my Rueben specifically and she looked at me while she was taking the order and seemed to understand. Not only was the order wrong when I got home....The meat was like beef jerky and not even edible. I wasted $15. They'll never see another dollar from me again.

First timer at this place, trying new local restaurants. The food was okay, but middle of the road. Hamburger steak platter was two burger Pattie's side by side with gravy and some onions on it. My friends breakfast platter was decent, but average. They seemed to be understaffed which caused a long wait to be seated and the restaurant had plenty of tables open. Then it took a long time to get the food. If I go back, maybe we ordered the wrong things. Lots of items on the menu.

Basic tavern with seating area for food. Menu had lots of appealing items ranging from salads to Philly sandwiches. They were short staffed for lunch, and after being seated, it took one hour until we were eating. If you are working, that makes it hard to eat here. My chicken Philly was tasteless and tator tots cold.

the best pizza I ever had!!!! did a build your own, with sausage, onion, mushroom. The ingredients are fresh and perfectly proportioned. Great cheese. solid sauce. pro tip from the waitress, get a side of ranch and a side of pizza sauce for dipping. the pizza sauce and crust are mind blowing. Phenomenal!!! 10stars!!!! The servers are top notch!!!

I come here regularly so I never thought to review, but recently had a meal to rave about. First of all the soup is always banging. So on a Saturday after prime rib Friday you order the prime rib soup. Then I ordered the fish fry blackened and was served a perfectly cooked fish that hung over both sides of the plate. So delicious

Do not go here. Awful everything. Worst restaurant in Raleigh by far and we will spread the word quick to not go here. Rude staff. Salty food. Dirty tables. Warm beer. Sat for a very long while before anyone acknowledged us to even bring menus. Waiter vaping in wide open which is very unprofessional. Do that where your customers can't clearly see you. Just horrible all around. Very disappointing.

The beef tips over rice is the best in the tri-state region. Cool university gear on the wall. Loved the impromptu dubstep by DJ Cold Cutz!

I really wasn't expecting a lot from the food at this place, since it seemed to be more of a sports bar, but I've got to admit the meatloaf was completely delicious! I like that it was obviously homemade. And I've never had meatloaf with marinara sauce before, but was shocked at how delicious it was, almost was like eating a huge meatball! I got the mac and cheese as a side and it was a little bland, but nothing that a little salt didn't perk up!

Very much enjoyed a nice break from the workday for lunch here yesterday. I will be back. I loved the feel of this place and could def see myself becoming a regular here. Thanks to the lovely staff! Xoxo

I love coming to High Park Restaurant. Maria and Kenny are great bartenders. I watch all sports here. The Hurricanes are always on and the sound is on. I will always come back. I had pizza tonight and it was good.

I was enjoying those Rueben egg rolls,pizza is smack!!! I enjoy playing ping pong and shooting pool I see a lot of familiar faces when I go love the mixed crowd and enjoy the environment there

Last two weekends we've had brunch there and were waited on by both Ambers. Food is always great and service equally great. Keep it up.

I ordered the Fish n Chips for lunch. The plate came with four good size pieces of fish and plenty of fries! It was delicious! I ordered through LunchDrop at work. I have never heard of this place before today, but I would definitely go to the restaurant and eat their fish n chips! It was delish!

The food was good, but the service was some of the worst I've had in long time. We were a party of three for lunch. First thing we asked for after we got our drinks was two orders of onion straws. Waiter then came back to take our orders. My meal came with two sides, but they were out of the squash that was listed on the menu. No biggie, I ordered something else. Our food eventually came out. One of us ordered a brunch special of sausage and biscuits with eggs over easy, which it was how it was written on the menu. When she got her food, the eggs were scrambled. We also had not received the onion straws we ordered for an appetizer. Waiter apologized, said he forgot to put the order in. The place was not crowded, so it wasn't like he was trying to juggle too many tables. After we ate, we asked about desserts. He mumbled something about they had cobbler, but didn't know what flavor, and a brownie sundae. He said he would go find out what kind of cobbler they had. When he came back, he didn't mention anything about dessert, and just handed us our checks. We decided not to bother with dessert after all. We were there to celebrate a friend's birthday, so my other friend and I wanted to split her check. He never asked up front whether we wanted separate checks, or we would have told him. So my friend and I put our credit cards with our checks, and asked him to split our friend's check between the two cards. He runs the cards, and gives the tickets back to us. He had run my check on my friend's card, and hers on my card. We just went ahead and paid it anyway, because at this point, we just wanted to leave. This was one of the worst waiters I've ever had.

Tried to order off Uber Eats just now. Says the restaurant is open until 12:30am. It let me go all the way though my order AND checkout. After several minutes a message pops up saying order cancelled and not much else. I called the restaurant thinking it could be a mistake and no one would answer the phone. I tried to reorder and only THEN do I get a message about the restaurant not taking orders at this time. Why not state this up front? The way it's set up is for people to order and just have their orders cancelled! The restaurant says it's open. On the uber eats website. If you're not open for food delivery, then you probably shouldn't show as open on a food delivery website!

SUPER SPREADER location!!! Very crowded, very few masks. If you don't care if you get covid, go to this dump. Very little social distancing going on, in fact it was the opposite. We went there to watch the hockey game. There was no sound and they refused to turn it on. We have been there for ECU games and had no problem getting sound. Took 45 minutes to get some really mediocre food. We have been here in the past and enjoyed it. I don't know what happened, but it sucks now. Never going back. I think popularity has gone to their head. They are swamped by people who don't care about covid, don't care about quality service and as long as they can get drunk.

Amazing ! Me & my best friend went here for taco Tuesday & when i say we have a new spot ! Tacos were amazjng and we got a margarita tower which was SO TASTY ! Its her first time but it wont be her last ! Good food, good music, and the staff is very nice Morgan ,Maria & GABBY( who i love) she recommended the tacos and they were so good Al pastor is what i had and my friend had shrimp tacos with mango salsa !!!

Bar food...tons of tvs for sporting events. Would maybe come back. The tots had a tasty seasoning salt.

This is my sports bar!!! Plennnnty of seating, both indoor and outdoor. TV's everywhere! Came here for the first time to catch the Canes whip up on those Islanders!! I was met by fun livacious people!! Doesn't hurt that the manager is from my home state *whispering* "letsgobigblue"!! Wings.......nah, they were WANGS!!! Boyyyyy look'a here. Their buffalo wings "will not disappoint". Hunky, to say the least AND the blue cheese is chunky *eyes rolling back* "Yessssss"!!! They have a cool seating area with couches also. Pool table, ping pong table, and my 3rd favorite....Golden Tee. HOW PERFECT IS THIS!!?? Plus some shooting games. If anybody wants to get schooled on either or all of them, just dial 1-800-get-some and i will magically appear. Haha. There is plenty of parking as well. I truly will be making this my 2nd home. Heyyyy Jamie, heyyyyy Lisa!! Haha. Everyone go check them out!! P.S. they have Pork Roll!!! Yes, a taste of home!!!

Walked in at the beginning of a football game, and didn't get drinks for 50 minutes. Good don't come out for another 45 minutes. There are a million sports bars you can go to and I can promise you your team will be valued more elsewhere. The quality of the food? 4/10. Does not help this rating out at all. I really hate giving 1 Star out but this is fully deserving of It. Time to work on your experience management.

Went to High Park yesterday for the first time ever and boy am I upset that I did not go there sooner! I had the Philly sandwich with chicken breasts and onion straws and everything was phenomenal. As phenomenal as the food was the service provided by Ashley who was charming and amazing. She ensured that as a first timer along with great food and beverage service I had a mini tour of the place . I can't recommend this place enough! If you're in the Raleigh area, this is a great bar to visit and become a regular at.

Service is bottom of the barrel. Atmosphere is great if a regular drunk, and drops sharply from there. Otherwise, you're in for a ride.

This place is super NC State friendly. Take that as you will. Apparently they're not very worried about COVID-19. The food is pretty good, although you better check your to-go order before you leave to make sure you received everything you paid for. Not a destination, but fine for its convenience. Meat and two restaurants are becoming hard to find, so it fills a void for dinner.

Best deals in Raleigh and ample parking is a plus! The brunch is delicious. The brunch is also fantastic quality for the price

I've waited a week to make this post. After much consideration, I decided people need to know about the incredibly poor service we received. We chose this place to bring our friends from out of town for the good food and cold beer. Instead, we were greeted with a major attitude from our server, Ali. She was unpleasant from the get-go, rolling her eyes and being extremely "short" with our table. As someone who has worked in the restaurant industry for over 10 years, it was definitely time for her to GO HOME! I understand bad days happen, but that energy should never be brought to the service provided. We felt so unwelcome, we ended up packing all of our food and taking it home. Then, when we addressed the manager on duty, she brushed off the server's attitude as "bad rapport" with our table and offered us a discount. THIS WAS NOT ABOUT MONEY. She even went on to tell us "You don't need to tip. This tab just needs to be covered." Again, this wasn't about money, this was about the incredibly unprofessional customer service we received. It's truly disheartening to leave this poor review given the family who owns this bar, as well as much of the staff, were like my own family for years. Sadly, this place seems to be headed in a poor direction.
