The food was good, but the service was some of the worst I've had in long time. We were a party of three for lunch. First thing we asked for after we got our drinks was two orders of onion straws. Waiter then came back to take our orders. My meal came with two sides, but they were out of the squash that was listed on the menu. No biggie, I ordered something else.
Our food eventually came out. One of us ordered a brunch special of sausage and biscuits with eggs over easy, which it was how it was written on the menu. When she got her food, the eggs were scrambled. We also had not received the onion straws we ordered for an appetizer. Waiter apologized, said he forgot to put the order in. The place was not crowded, so it wasn't like he was trying to juggle too many tables. After we ate, we asked about desserts. He mumbled something about they had cobbler, but didn't know what flavor, and a brownie sundae. He said he would go find out what kind of cobbler they had.
When he came back, he didn't mention anything about dessert, and just handed us our checks. We decided not to bother with dessert after all. We were there to celebrate a friend's birthday, so my other friend and I wanted to split her check. He never asked up front whether we wanted separate checks, or we would have told him. So my friend and I put our credit cards with our checks, and asked him to split our friend's check between the two cards.
He runs the cards, and gives the tickets back to us. He had run my check on my friend's card, and hers on my card. We just went ahead and paid it anyway, because at this point, we just wanted to leave. This was one of the worst waiters I've ever had.
