We had a good time here. Most games are free. Skeeball and some of the pinball games cost a little. Buy a drink and have fun with the retro games! The facility seemed pretty clean and the staff was helpful.

Stopped by High Score Saloon in Evansville before a comedy show at the Ford Center and honestly? Didn’t expect much with just one bartender and what looked like one guy running the kitchen... but it ended up being some of the fastest and best service we’ve ever had. They were flying around like caffeinated gamers back there. The food was solid, the prices were right, and the drinks hit the spot. I had a Coors Banquet and a shot of whiskey, which felt appropriately rugged while surrounded by pixelated chaos and blinking lights. The best part? Games everywhere. Some free, some take a few coins, but all fun. They’ve got everything from arcade classics and pinball to ski ball, which will humble you in the best way. And yes, there’s even a painting of a Bob-omb from Mario, just casually watching over the chaos like some 8-bit art security guard. Whether you're there to game, eat, drink, or just feel like a kid with better taste in beer, this place is a win. Definitely coming back.

This was a super cool bar. I wish there were more bars out there like this to be honest. Not just your typical sit and have drinks while listening to music and socializing. This place had a ton of retro arcade games. Great place to take your significant other or go out with a group of friends.

Google
Right off the bat, Lgtbq+ friendly. Love that I wish more places were like this. My husband found this randomly and planned a surprise date night for me here and I was thrilled. 21+ only as it is a bar. Free to get in. Absolutely love this concept. Most games are free, except the Pinball and a few select others. Tons of Pinballs, acarade games, and Nintendo game consoles to play. Beyond Love the random nostalgia decor. The Mask was playing on an older TV on vrc when we were getting drinks and I just absolutely love that lol. Comfortable seating to enjoy your drinks or food, as the have food options. We just had some drinks. We didn't pay attention to individual pricing as we started a tab, for 2 jack n cokes, few beers and a fruity drink we spent about $45-50. Very clean as well. Fast service. The have machines to give quarters as well for the Pinball games. I cannot wait to go back!

Unique experience, cool and retro games, clean restrooms. Facts: They have a minimum drink requirement for the free gaming (see pic) They have the only true gaming bar in town. They have Nintendo, and other untradional public access type games in addition to arcade based games. Great downtown main street location SUGGESTIONS: The bartenders may want a refresher on how to treat their customers, and pay attention when someone is standing there for 15 minutes while they carry on conversations with friends at the bar and ignoring paying clientele, then get rude when you excuse yourself into their conversation to get your required drinks to play the games, and when serving them, make sure they are satisfied that they recieved what they ordered to their liking... beyond that, the selection of beverages is good, drinks when they are correct are good and maybe start allowing patrons to get a thimble of beer (sample), if you know they are buying something. They have a lot of unique beers, but you have to buy a whole glass and even if you hate it, they will charge, wont replace it without you paying for another, & that may also be thrown in the trash after 1 sip. Kind of sad that way. ;) I'm sure they will correct this, then they will be 5*. ;)

We visited for a friend's birthday not long ago, and it's a great spot for a fun evening. They have so many pinball machines, old school Mario, pac man, and guitar hero just to name a few games available. Their food is delicious and the staff is easy going and fun to be around.

Google
Great place for the old school gamer. The most of the older arcades are free & the bar tenders are friendly. Even if you don't drink anything but a coke or 2 your welcome

Yelp
We had no idea this place existed. We are so glad we found it. We had so much fun. Definitely do again.

Yelp
Free video games and craft beers on draft. What more can you ask for? (Pinball machines and prize games are extra of course. )

Yelp
Cool place free games and cold beer! Very nostalgic with the games. Love that there's no kids!!

Yelp
This is the best bar I've ever been to. No exaggeration. I liked their old location, but this one allows for more of what makes them great. The servers are friendly and quick and good at what they do. The food is great- not your typical bar slop. The place attracts a great crowd. As a woman, I feel very safe. It's well-lit, and the vibes are chill and fun. Free water. Cool aesthetics. Unique experience to play pretty much every game for free. And CLEANEST bar I've ever been to. Cannot recommend enough. My waiter Austin was great!

Yelp
Take me back to my childhood and add some liquor!!! This little hidden gem is full of fun for sure! Not only does it have a full bar and local craft beers on tap, but it's full of all you favorite childhood video games and pinball machines! I sat at the Centipede table for over an hour, slapping the table and grunting loudly every time I lost a life! No worries! Take a sip and start again! All the video games are even free!!! FREE!!! Pinball games do take quarters however. Look for a railing on the sidewalk...it's in the basement - dark and moody! Perfect for a date day or night. We had a blast geeking out. Highly recommend!

Yelp
I am from out of town but when I am in Evansville I always try to stop by the High Score Saloon, play some classic games and have a few beers. It is really something to appreciate and Evansville is lucky to have such an establishment.

Yelp
Great atmosphere! Service was friendly. It's a perfect quick bite place as well! Games were abundant and a lot of them were free play! Everything spanning from the 80s to 00s including pinball, arcade machines and more! Perfect place to have a drink and play your worries away. I recommend the pizza tots and the Tron game!

Yelp
We've come a long way from the era where Dave and Buster's was an exotic experience. These days, the barcade is a staple of cities and college towns, and this trend saved the American arcade from what seemed like certain death. They're usually dependable for a fun, lighthearted night out, but man oh man did Evansville get especially lucky with theirs. You'd be hard-pressed to find an establishment that takes better care of its pinball machines than High Score Saloon. They look sharp, play beautifully and run the gamut from blue-chip favorites like The Addams Family to quirkier machines like The X-Files. Beyond pinball, you'll spot barcade classics like Donkey Kong and Joust as well as some pleasant surprises, like a TV with Duck Hunt behind the bar. (Can't get too up-close and cheat, now!) High Score Saloon is on the compact side and could be overlooked by passersby due to its lower-level location. They get a lot of mileage out of this space, though. The decor is great and I really dig how their atmosphere is nocturnal and comfortable in equal measure. Some additional taps would be nice, but as it stands, they do a solid job selecting eclectic beers from Evansville and beyond. If you're lucky, there will even be a piece of chalk waiting for you in the bathroom so that you can write on the chalkboard walls. ("R.I.P. SIR BEEF" is a personal go-to for this.) If I still lived in Evansville, this would be my primary bar. As it stands, it's one of my most anticipated stops whenever I'm in town. Press the START button on this joint - you won't regret it.

Yelp
Really great barcade. All games except pinball are on free play. Excellent staff. Great drinks!

Yelp
I was just jettisoned back to 1982 at this arcade bar. Ms PacMan. Joust. Dragons lair. duck hunt. Omg I could go in and on. Pinball too. This beer bar, yes beer bar doesn't take itself too seriously. It's a fun night out. The night I was there was a fund raiser for Big Brother Big Sisters. Cover charge that night. Games were free but pinball proceeds went to BBBS. Short beer selection but all the normal stuff and a few crafts. Wasn't too crowded at 10pm in a Friday. You could get any game next. It was lots of fun to play games I had not played in years. It all came back and I posted a high score on Q'bert and Duck Hunt. Good time people. Good times.

Yelp
Some friends and I checked this place out on a Saturday night. I really enjoyed this place the atmosphere is laid back and everyone in our group had a great time. Will definitely becoming back.

Yelp
This place must be new, since I've never seen it before! I always enjoy a good beercade, so I was excited to check this out. The beer selection was fine, and had a decent cross section of different types. I had a hefeweizen which was unremarkable. They also offered a cider when I was there, and a few wines (Barefoot maybe?) that came in the little bottles. In terms of games, it's a fairly small place. About half the arcade games are pinball, which are also the only games that are pay-to-play. I believe $1 gets you 3 games on each pinball machine, so they're not exceedingly pricey. They also have a SuperNintendo and a NES set up on small monitors, which is a great touch! There is also an NES set up so you can play while sitting at the bar. I loved getting to play through several levels of nostalgic Mario games. Overall, this is a pretty solid addition to downtown Evansville. On a Wednesday night, it was active but not overly busy, and there were plenty of chances to play whatever I wanted, but I would imagine it would get packed pretty quickly on a weekend night.

Yelp
The El Fuerte tots are the most amazing concoction of tots I've ever eaten! Sooo so good! Found this place by accident and so glad we did, such a fun place to hang out... and the tots!!!! Get them!!!!

Blake F.

Yelp
This place is awesome! Gotta love the deals on the weekends - my friends and I always swing by here when looking for a good time!

Yelp
Such a fun place! Free entry & soft drinks for those driving. Pinball tourney each Wednesday night. Appetizer style foods are available. Video games are free! 21 & over, which is refreshing.

Yelp
Never been in but I know the guy; he doesn't suck & has a gold tooth. They have video games & sell Tostitos pizzas, should tell you all you need to know about the place. 10/10 would recommend

Yelp
Easily my favorite bar in town. Everyone is nice and the games are fun. I like that you can come in a group or alone and still feel comfortable in the crowd. They do get busy on weekend nights but if you come a little earlier you most certainly can have a chance to play whatever games you'd like.

Yelp
Great place to go to just hangout with buddies to kickback and play some arcade games! Staff is exceptional and very accommodating, definitely could be viewed as a great ice breaker to go on a first date!

Yelp
A blast. An adult arcade with all original arcade and pinball machines. They also have console games, but the real attraction is the arcade. Several beers on tap and the flavors rotate routinely. Local flavors as well. The games run the spectrum from old (Gunfight) to still old but newer (Hydro Thunder). But all games are from your childhood. And you probably haven't played them in decades. The arcades are on free play. Pinball will cost you. A very simple, fun menu with gas station roller dogs, soft pretzels, and-- the kicker-- Totino's party pizzas. The focus here is the games (and beer).

Yelp
I'm glad to see a place like this exist. I hope to frequent them a lot more once I have a vaccine in my veins. Five stars, highly recommend.

Yelp
This place rules!! Nice chill vibes, good entertainment, i like the amber beer they have i think its called the "arcade". Games are free except pinball and some other racing game.
