Highway4 Bar Restaurant

Spectacular food, price is a bit premium but it matches quality and decor very well. Honestly very confused by other reviews complaining about flavor 😔. Maybe people don't know what good Asian food tastes like? We had: Passion fruit shrimp -> best shrimp I ever had Sauted bamboo shoots -> fresh; delicate; delicious Fried tofu -> soft crispy outside, well flavored The interior is also lovely, especially up stairs Japanese style sitting section.

We found this restaurant in the Michelin Guide, described as a "tavern". Nice old building, and nicely done inside. It does describe on the menu, that it is a place to come and "get drunk" and it seemed like the group next to us had taken that instruction. They were playing music on their phones and were extremely loud. Not the place to come if you want a quieter dinner. We ordered a selection of food. It was OK, but not brilliant. None of it was particularly highly flavoured, for example, we struggled to detect any hint of Sichuan Pepper on the ribs. Not our best meal in Hanoi and we won't be visiting again. We chose: - Cá Sụn Sịn Nướng Muối Ớt: "Sụn Sịn" Fish grilled w/Chili & Salt - Dẻ Sườn Nướng Mắc Khén: Spare Ribs grilled w/Sichuan Pepper - Free-range Duck in a Son Tinh Plum Liquor Sauce - Sauteed Chayote Stalks & Leaves (Also posted to my food blog on Instagram @AbbeyKing16)

Had to say, this Michelin selected bar & restaurant in Hanoi serves delectable menu. It’s exciting trying their Son Tinh crafted liquors … adds fun to the experience!

Try somewhere else! The spring rolls were very good. But all of the main dishes were extremely underwhelming and tasteless. The price was quite high (for the area) Really unsure about how this is michelin recommended.

Our first meal in Hanoi and everything was just so amazing. Everything we ordered was so flavorful. Service was amazing. If given a chance, will definitely come back!

The food is so nicely cooked with all the herbal favours. Highly recommended. Only disappointing thing is when we visited there are some locals sitting next to us. They were so loud and ruined all the good atmosphere.

Very disappointing from a Michelin guide restaurant. The staff managed to seat us upstairs without reservation which was great as they were really busy and the waitress upstairs was amazing and ensured the service was really fast However, there was a group smoking upstairs which really put us off the atmosphere and food The starter we had the buffalo and the crab spring rolls which were great but the mains had no flavour at all I had the fish and tofu and my boyfriend had the pigeon dish with rice cakes both had no flavour at all It’s really over rated and to be honest too expensive for the food and atmosphere really disappointing as we did a lot of research to find an amazing restaurant for our one night here

Food here is cheaper than street food in hanoi. The ambiance is perfect for date night. Very accomodating host. 👍👍
