Google
The location seems a bit sketchy but ended up having no problems. Not all beers are available on tap. Beers taste home brewed and seem slightly below average to average. I was there on a Wednesday night which was karaoke night. The bartender was very friendly.

Made a quick stop here while in town. It's in a big commercial building and has the garage feel. Loved the atmosphere. Bartender was very friendly. Good guy. They don't serve food but they have a food truck outside. Only had a flight and bought some beer to go. I did buy a beer glass also. The beer was ok with the chocolate peanut butter porter being my favorite.

Google
The Waynestock Pale Ale is great! This is an extremely friendly and inclusive environment for everyone. They also have karaoke and a lot of other fun things on their events board. Definitely check them out.

Owner walks around talks to everyone and is very hands on. Very chill guy. Looks like its a great place in the summertime.

Enjoying a nice tall glass of Guilty Pleasure at Hijinx Brewery with the first release for the Lehigh Valley beer week. Excellent brewery, great beer and good service.

Google
Nice choice of good, flavorful beers. Nice setup and location. Wasn't very crowded on a Sunday afternoon which could be a good thing or a bad thing. I would definitely go back again.

Google
If your looking for a cool place to kickback and watch a game this is the place to go, I got a sour cherry beer and it was slamming!

Yelp
We stopped for a beer and to check it out. The bartender, Blair, was super nice and very helpful in explaining the brews and giving us a sample until we decided.

Yelp
Thanks, of course, to Yelp for leading me to HiJinx prior to heading to Allentown. They offer a great variety of brews, but not all are available on draft and not all are available in bottles or cans. Head over and grab a flight to try and you'll figure out your favorite(s) pretty quickly. I know i did. The guy working was very friendly and very knowledgeable about his beer and the Allentown area.

Yelp
A cool brewery in a hidden spot. A large variety of stuff on tap with fun flight options. Not a whole lot in terms of food but they do have 6-paks you can take to go. They also have some board games and the sort if you're looking for something to add to the fun. And there is a meadery and distillery in the same building

Yelp
Part of the allure to this place is its steps away from the meadery which makes for a great afternoon. The beer selection was not my favorite tho I gravitate towards fruity and sour beers, this was IPA heavy.
google avatar

Alannah B.

Yelp
Quiet brewery right next to Colony Meadery. The game was on but no other background music. A good selection of beers and seltzer both on tap and in cans. The sour in a can and the lizard amber we're both good, although I'd go back for another sour.
google avatar

Yelp
Good - the beers, the live music. Not so good - the location, the atmosphere. Bagged snacks on site. The taproom is just an empty floor space in a re purposed old factory in a questionable section of Allentown, PA. Too bad.

Yelp
Ok so this place is a loading dock (literally) in a warehouse/industrial complex. Flight was served in the same cup you'd use for a Robitussin bottle. I will say that out of the 5 beers I tried this was the worst tasting beer I've ever had in my life. Staff was friendly. That was about the only thing I can say was ok.

Yelp
I came here for Lehigh Valley Beer Week in February and this was my first time coming here. The tasting room is quite large and is a great spot for a large group. My buddy and I tried all of their beers on tap since tastings are 2 oz each, which is a great way to try them all. The beers themselves were kind of hit or miss and I would give it a 3/5 on average for all of them. However, the staff were super kind and the prices are ridiculously amazing ($4 for a flight), which makes up for some of the so-so brews. I would come back here again, especially if I had a big group to accommodate and it's right next to a distillery, so you can make an afternoon of the two!

Yelp
Hijinx is a nice place to go when you just want to chill with a beer. There isn't a lot to do or see, and there isn't any in-house food (though there are often food trucks). A flight is pretty cheap, and the beer is usually pretty good. Sometimes there is music. In the summer they open up one of the walls to create outdoor seating. If you aren't into the beer, there is a meadery and a distillery in the same building. I always have a pleasant time when I go to Hijinx.

Yelp
Plain and simple this the best brewery in the area and among the best in the country. You will be hard pressed to find higher quality beer anywhere with lots of variety and rotation. The staff and owner are very welcoming and most Friday and Saturday evening there is quality live music.

Yelp
Real cool little brewery hidden away in a garage in a industrial building. Prices are great, bar tenders are friendly, and the beer is tasty. I liked the lemongrass addition in their Earth wit and fire, and the citrasqeeze is a very good, well balanced IPA. The whole place has a very hole in the wall, industrial vibe. They have board games you can use and some snacks/chips, but no food. The only thing I did not like was their flights were served in plastic, and were 2 oz cups, which is small. But great spot!

Yelp
Nice place and kids and dog friendly. There is also a Meade and distillery in the same building. Nice selection of beer.

Yelp
Stopped by yesterday during their regular hours as published on the Internet. Another group stopped by at the same time. I invited friends who had driven a LONG way to try out this new brewery. FAIL!! They kicked both of our groups out because they had a private party in progress. It is a horrible business practice to post hours and then close during those hours for a private group. We spoke with the other group who had also driven a really long way as my friends had done. I apologized to my friends and we went to a Two Rivers and Weyerbacher who have their act together and had a great time. Hi-Jinx loses because we wont even bother to go there anymore. There are much better choices locally. I will be certain to relay my experience every time the name of their brewery comes up.

Yelp
Stopped in on Black Friday to check out what Hijinx had to offer. 6 beers in a flight for $4?! Doesn't get any better than that. The space is industrial like all breweries tend to be with a ton of space and seating. Sat down at the bar and were greeted right away with a tap list and friendly smile. The place is a little hard to find if you're not looking closely.

Yelp
Hijinx is a great brewery in a business incubator in Allentown, and they have excelled and grown and continued to make amazing tasty beers. Curt and Chris and the team have a wonderful community mindset and make Hijinx a fun place to be. I saw one review complaining about it having a loading dock...which is a weird complaint, but I won't get into that. This allows for some great open air imbibing in the warmer months when they bring in a food truck for their guests. Just saying this because you should know what to expect before you go. It's a small brewery that is working to grow and doing a great job at it.

Yelp
Wanted to like this place, cool loading dock kind of vibe but not sure how safe of a neighborhood. My boyfriends brother lives close by so we stopped in upon his recommendation. Bartender was nice unfortunately we liked nothing but the strawberry cider, all the beers had a very odd taste, again not being from the area we were not used to the taste of the water.

Yelp
A great hidden gem. Obviously, great beer. But, a unique atmosphere and always good music as well. Not into beer? A distillery is a few doors down. All in all, a great place to put on your checklist and check out.
google avatar

Yelp
This is a small brewery in an industrial building. Parking is on the street in a industrial area. The people working here are great. Friendly and knowledgeable. The beer is good. Stop by and you'll enjoy yourself.
google avatar

Yelp
Best brewery in the Lehigh valley!!! They make the most amazing gluten free beer I have ever had. Super awesome ambience with live music. The owner was ther super friendly and chatty. Easy to park. I don't know how this has been here as long as it has without me visiting. I will definitely be coming back here more often
google avatar

Yelp
One of the best brewpubs in Lehigh Valley. Very helpful staff. From sours to stouts, there is a beer to please every one's taste. And there is a meadery and distillery in the same building. I will definitely be stopping by here again.

Yelp
I went on a mini-brewery tour while completing an internship in Allentown. This was, by far, the best tasting brews in the area. The set up is a little bright for my liking and the style wasn't one I vibed with, but you cannot argue with their quality. Check them out.

Yelp
I'm surprised at the negative reviews! My wife have been visiting Hijinx for the last two years, it's getting bigger and better. Their beer is priced reasonably, they're adding tables and chairs to the small space they have, and they even have game shelves now to occupy yourself while you're there. Sure it isn't a fancy place, or a huge sprawling bar/brew pub, but that's kinda what a lot of locals like about it. The staff has always been very friendly (except one irritating experience during a can release) but we keep going back! Their Baristas Choice beer is one of their best, can only keep looking forward to what they have next.

Yelp
A great brewery tucked away in an industrial business incubator on Allentown's south side. Great beers, fun atmosphere, terrific service, food trucks and live music on Friday and Saturday nights. Our favorite brewery in the Lehigh Valley, and we've done them all!
google avatar

Jason G.

Yelp
Decent beers, but they're a bit hit and miss. Some had better flavor than the others. I love though that you can a flight of 6 tastings for $4. Great value. I also loved the atmosphere on a Friday night with a food truck and live band. Parking was also plentiful enough and staff were friendly. Overall, a nice place that is with a stop especially if you're visiting the neighboring meadery or spirit distillery, but not a destination-type place.
google avatar

Shawn M.

Yelp
One of the best brewers in the Lehigh Valley, the tap room is great place to try something new--catch a great local band or sample some local food trucks. The bartenders are great, and quick to offer their suggestions, even mixing two beers to create something unique.

Yelp
Awesome folks!!!! don't pass it by!!!! Curt has found his passion and it shows!!

Yelp
Place was cool and staff was super nice and knowledgable but their beer was some of the worst I've ever tasted. Only 1 of the 6 was even remotely tasty. It had a good basil flavor and they said it is meant to have with pizza or Italian food. I could see that. I am a craft beer lover and will drink almost anything. But what we had here was absolutely horrid. It took all I had to down each sample.
google avatar

Yelp
A lot of good different beers. The IPA was super. Nice folks too. It's a working brewery so no real atmosphere but who cares ... the beer was great!

Ashley M.

Yelp
This place has delicious beers, that you taste for free! The staff is courteous, knowledgeable, and so chill. I wish I lived around here!!!

Greg B.

Yelp
Very good variety of beers, not all great, but that is a personal opinion of course. What keeps me coming back is the staff. Couldn't be nicer. In an example of the definition of customer service, my friend and I were there and we got the first two beers out of a newly tapped beer. We were about 1/4 through our pints when the owner came over and asked what we were drinking. When we told him he said he didn't like the way it looked. He took a sip of mine, went to the tap and poured out another pint, tasted it and said it was much better now that a few beers had been poured off it. He grabbed our pints, poured them away and tapped us fresh ones, no charge. You just can't get better service than that. Also a good variety of beer available for growlers and crowlers.

Charlie V.

Yelp
A great place to spend an afternoon. What could be better than sampling beer? Our bartender Julie did a fantastic job taking care of our group. The place is hard to locate but what a find it was. Along with the craft beers there is also a meadery and a distillery. The flight samples were $5 and you had a small shot glass size taste of whatever you chose. What could be better? A super friendly place with lots of charm.

Yelp
My husband and I have heard from various friends how great Hijinx is. We agree! The only reason for the 3 stars is that I really only liked about 2 of the beers I tasted, but I really liked those 2 and we had a great experience. Hijinx is located in an out of the way dead end street across from a cemetery. Not much to see outside, but the inside space is very nice. The have 2 "garage doors" they open to let the light in and get some sun with a few picnic tables to share with other tasters. The staff was great. They were very attentive and excited about describing each beer in the FREE flight they served us. The tasting area got very busy and the staff worked hard to make sure that every patron was welcomed, we were impressed. You can buy pints to drink there or growlers for take away. I got the IPA and my husband got the Steel Your Face Porter, both great beers. It's a fun stop on a Saturday afternoon...check out their Facebook page for events. They had a food truck the day we were there, it too was fab. (I'll do a review on the truck too). We are so happy to have more opportunities to drink local craft brews--yea Hijinx!

Rabbit H.

Yelp
First time there on a Friday night for live local music. Really good craft beers, nice variety. Most unusual was the choice of sizes: samplers, 12 oz., 16 oz., and growlers. The setting is a more like a garage but there is a bar with stools, and a few picnic tables. I was impressed by how clean the place was. That evening, a food company, The Sticky Pig, sold food. Also very good.

Anthony B.

Yelp
BEST. BEER. EVER. Really cool spot in a business incubator located next to a distillery and a meadery. Great spot on Friday evenings and weekends. Very knowledgeable staff and great range of beers.

Sara E.

Yelp
Surprisingly awful customer service. Walked in 11 minutes after opening, every single group of customers was happily drinking sample flights of their beer. We asked to try the same, but were denied. The person behind the bar said, "We aren't doing flights now, cause it's going to get pretty crazy in here." He eventually agreed to pour one set of flights, which took all of 30 seconds. What brewery isn't willing to serve a set of flights to prospective customers at a specific time? While the product quality was fairly solid, the attitude of the person tending bar truly sullied the experience.
