Smashing IT! A very gorgeous park with lots of room for kids, dogs and people just to roam and take in the views. Tucked away in the area of the Christie and Davenport. This park has everything you would desire in a park, that isn't over crowded. So take in the majestic atmosphere that the park has to offer. Whether it's winter, spring or autumn. This is a great park of you feel the need to take a breather from the everyday hustle and bustle of a busy life style.

Beautiful and serene. This place is one of the most serene places in all of Toronto. The old trees really take you out of the concrete grey of Toronto. The foliage in autumn is breathtaking. The walks there really help to bring you back tonature

This is an awesome park for the young and old alike. There’s a large sandy playground that is perfect for children of all ages with slides, monkey bars, Large and small swings, a climbing structure, a balance beam, a play hutch and a sandbox. Nearby is a wading pool that is filled up in the afternoons in the warmer months. There is also a basketball court that is frequently in use by kids and adults alike, there is usually a game going on between strangers. Don’t be afraid of asking to join, the more the merrier! There is a dog park kept separate from the large field in front of the park, and the fenced tennis courts. It is a very safe and welcoming environment and is close to both st. Clair and Davenport.

Most useless dog park. XD My favourite part is gate and the gaping holes beside it. I mean, my dog listens but I get to spend the whole time teaching him where the boundaries are and as a cheeky husky he will always try to push them. I wish there was a fully fenced in park somewhere in the Annex. >.>

We love Hillcrest!!! . Of all the dog parks in the area, this is our favorite. Always nice people and dogs here. Lovely tennis courts, basketball, and children's splash pad/play area

A nice park to enjoy the sun. It has a dog area, basketball court, lawn tennis court and children's play area. A beautiful place to enjoy some sun above the street level

Yelp
Good ol' Hillcrest Park services a pretty large surrounding neighbourhood. For a city park it is a great size - just big enough to kick a ball around on, but small enough so that you can be heard if you had to shout at a dependent from across the park. There's lots to do here! The eastern half of the grassy area is shared between the tennis club and an off-leash dog area. It is off-leash all day from November 1 - March 31 (once the tennis club is closed for the season) and during the rest of the year off-leash use is restricted to the mornings and evenings. There's a dividing fence to keep the dogs from the other side of the park but it is not completely closed off so keep that in mind if your dog is not a good listener. The playground has swings and climbing apparatus on a big sandy area. My daughter and I are new to 'park life' (as one of the other moms put it -- it just made me think of 'thug life') so now I've got to buy my kid a little shovel and bucket so she can take advantage of the sand. There's also a splashpad that's operational in the summer. The two sets of stairs leading down to Davenport were renovated this summer and are much improved. It's now well lit, wide, and the steps are actually well-defined stone (not like the sorry saggy wooden things there previously). The tennis club is called Wychwood Tennis Club and they have a very reasonable membership fee. I've never joined but have often gone to play as a guest of our tennis fanatic friends.

Yelp
Hillcrest Park sort of has a fenced in area by the tennis courts, but it is not fully fenced in. The stairs are a bitch to climb, and the park isn't very big and too close to the road. It wasn't very safe for my dog and the other dog owners weren't very friendly either. We high tailed it up the street to the fenced in Wychwood Barns and had a much better time! I just didn't feel safe having my dog running around here at Hillcrest. Lots of kids, and too close to the road. A fenced in dog area would do wonders!
