Love this shop! Small but packed with high quality delicious items. The owner knows a lot about his products. If you’re in a hurry I suggest putting in an order ahead of time. Smoked salmon is cut to order and delicious. Wonderful variety of cheeses and sweets. Similar price to whole foods but better service/ products!!! Support smaller wonderful businesses.

Google
Top quality imported and domestic cheese and charcuterie as well as tons of delicious imported sausages, sauces, candies, pastas, coffee beans, bread. Everything they sell is delicious! The owner Ted is like a great food curator. It's been around over 10 years but used to be called "Blue Apron Foods". They had to change the name because they were getting too many phone calls from people angry about what didn't show up in their box that week. Awesome staff who know everything about what they sell.

Google
Excellent! Thank you Blue Apron, I am now a raving fan. That's what I have say, about this service. I cook dinner almost every evening after work and if I have the chance, I prefer to stop at the store for fresh ingredients. This service makes my life so much easier! I receive a shipment of fresh products and then I cook it. Everything is measured and portioned so between that and shopping it saves me a ton of time. The items I have received are a very high quality and the portion size is perfect. The meals have been delicious and best of all, if I want to make slight adjustments to taste it's super simple because I'm actually preparing the meal. I will continue with this program because I just got back some free time.

Google
A quiet oasis of excellence and everything good in the world (of cuisine). I walk into Hiller & Moon and I am overcome by the excellent selection of foods that reflect a superior taste and curation, and a sense that I've been transported back in time, to a neighborhood store that is true to a purpose and not trying to be something else. And this: the staff is smart, friendly, and caring. Thank you Hiller & Moon!

Google
An environmental atrocity - The food was decent, although quite time intensive to put it all together. My biggest problem was the incredible amount of trash and waste that was created. The negative impact this has on the environment is nothing short of epic. First of all, the food travels many miles via delivery trucks to get to our house (CO2 impact). Next, the level of packaging is tremendous! Large boxes, big box liners, and at least 6 or so ice packs per box. The ice packs are plastic and filled with cooling gel. All of this for some marginal vegetarian sushi. I seriously felt awful just after two meals, when I then had to fill my entire trash/recycling can as a result. We canceled right after that. Please consider the impact on the environment before engaging, because it is major.

Great little place! The staff is always very knowledgeable and friendly! If you are looking for high quality delicious cheeses and charcuteries, this is the place for you!

Glad to see Blue Apron Foods, I mean, Hiller & Moon, still in business. I first visited in 2008. Hope to see them in business for many more years to come.

Google
very good cheese and other gourmet foods. I found this place on a cold winter day, we so many ymmy goods and made a wonderful picnic inside. A place to come back always.

Yelp
I went in to buy some beans to make my coffee the next morning. I am sure the beans are good quality since the place was featured on Extra Virgin, a show on Cooking Channel. It was the service that left a bitter taste in my mouth. It was horrible. I asked the cashier, if I can just buy 1/4 lb of the Blue Apron Blend. He weighed it and it was less than 1/4 lb. He was about to take my money when the owner came along and said...I have to buy exactly 1/4 lb. I didn't mind because it only came out to be $2.32. However, I didn't appreciate the owner's tone. I'm never coming here again.

Yelp
F-A-N-C-Y. If you want to impress someone with your selection of charcuterie and cheeses for a dinner party or picnic, this is the place to go. It ain't cheap, but quality usually isn't. They're definitely not your all-purpose store. Come here with an open mind for suggestions and recommendations.

Yelp
I'm a sucker for a specialty food shop! And Blue Apron has been a Park Slope staple since 2002. The owner Ted Matern has a strong food background with impressive history specifically Dean and Deluca which is also a favorite of mine. What's great about Blue Apron is that it has all those delicious food items on a more intimate environment. My brother lives in the neighborhood and I always love going with him on his weekly visits. And my brother is nice enough to let me pick a few things to take home. If you try anything here you have to go for the salmon or cheese. In my case, I always want both. ****hand carved salmon*** is incredible here. They salmon is shaved into beautiful thin slices separated by slim slices of wax paper and then rolled into a thicker wax paper. I love having these slices on my Monday bagel with cream cheese. You can't even buy pre sliced packaged salmon here and why would you want it after tasting the good life. Then let's talk about cheese. I love the manchego here. It's nutty and earthy. They are definite cheese mongers here. My brother likes to get his gouda here for his famous homemade omelettes. The gouda compliments the omelette and is a necessary component. Recently, I have been addicted to the pistachio cookies at the check out area. They are smart to place all the delicious treats right as you are paying. The pistachio cookies are great because they aren't too sweet, they're chewy and have a crispy exterior. I always get at least 4! And always wish I had a dozen. I am a baker and these have my seal of approval.

Aleksandra E.

Yelp
I like this place for the cheese selection, even though they are on the pricy side. You always can find something on your taste and mood. Some products here are unreasonably overpriced... I come here every now and then to treat myself, but not for a real shopping for cold cuts and everything else, you can find a much better price for the same quality in other places

Yelp
I stopped by this morning on my way home from the Grand Army Plaza Greenmarket just to take a look around. I've heard great things about this place. They have so much to offer when it comes to cured meats, cheeses, fancy chocolates, coffees, olives and baked goods. The store was pretty empty which wasn't surprising since its Valentine's Day. If you haven't gotten what you need at this point, someone's probably already pissed at you. Better late than never doesn't cut it today. I typically can't resist when it comes to cheese, so I decided on a pint of Bocconcino (mozzarella balls floating in water). I paid $4.30 for 6 balls that were roughly the size of golf balls. The staff was friendly and seemed happy or help out. They have a $10 minimum on credit cards so I had to pay with cash. I was in a bit of a rush after I dropped the cheese off in my fridge so I grabbed a cheese ball, popped it in my mouth and ran out of my apartment. I immediately noticed that something didn't taste right. I figured I'd blame it on the fact that I just drank some Kombucha so maybe my mouth was tricking me. A few hours later I opened the container again and took a big whiff. The cheese had definitely gone sour. I wanted to go back to see if I could get another container or a refund but didn't have time. I'm also flying out tomorrow so I won't be able to bring it back. I would assume that they would have no problem refunding me, but honestly, this place is known for their cheese. It makes me sad when stuff like this happens at a well known establishment. I will probably be back. Hopefully next time I'll be able to enjoy my purchase.

Yelp
Hiller & Moon is an awesome store. I've been going there for 10 years when it was then known as Blue Apron Foods. In a neighborhood with many gourmet food stores this is a place I always return to because of the excellent service that sets it apart from the other stores and of course, their fabulous products: + Walnut raisin loaf is excellent and always runs out quickly + Top notch gluten free pasta ( you wouldn't even know it was gluten free!) + British chocolate bars ( Cadbury milk chocolate, Maltesers etc) + Walkers Crisps!!!!! + Gluten Free Limoncello Almond Cake + Gluten Free chocolate chip cookies ( amazing!) I've dropped a star as prices are high but hey it is afterall a gourmet specialty store so do be prepared to drop some cash when you are there but rest assured you are getting top quality products.

Yelp
I was just browsing in Park Slope when my grocery visit was interrupted by a cell phone. Mother: Hello? What? Oh my goodness!! That's wonderful!! When did she go?? The mother's 4 year old boy tugs at her shirt. Son: Who is it? Who is it? Mother: Hold on a second honey. How did she let you know? Oooohhhhh! Okay we're coming home soon. I love you, bye! Son: What happened? Mother: Your sister went poo poo in the potty! Do you want to pick out a present for her? Son: I didn't get a present when I went poo poo in the potty. Mother: Oh, I'm pretty sure you did. Do you think she will like this candy? Suddenly, the chocolates I were looking at did not look like chocolates anymore. I walked in deeper at Blue Apron Fine Foods, if not to just check out what else they had, but to get away from the poo poo potty mouths. Blue Apron has got a bunch of cool stuff. It's all special and imported. It's a little bit on the pricey side. I don't live in the area and I didn't see anything I wanted. But Blue Apron is the type of gourmet grocery store that made me imagine that I would probably stop in here and buy something for a weekend snack if I, you know, lived in one of those brownstones, had a pseudo nerd hubby, two toddlers, and a pup waiting back home for me. As soon as my kids saw me, they'd ask if I brought them back some special chocolates and I'd ask them if they left any special chocolates in the potty. Um, NOT! It was quite funny though, listening in on that family's conversation. Definitely a milestone in life and I was a part of it. Boy am I lucky.

Yelp
I went to store for particular item. It and 4 other items were all MONTHS PASSED SELL BY DATE. This is a health hazard. When I brought it to the attention of the cashier he shrugged. Yes he shrugged. I asked him why the store had not removed the produce from the shelves and his answer 'well I guess it takes a long time to get the new ones shipped' Check the sell by date of everything in this store for your own health

Dan R.

Yelp
Amazing, well curated cheese and charcuterie selection. Excellent service and great European packaged offerings. A neighborhood gem!!

Karen P.

Yelp
I can't wait to come back here. The service was great. The guy at the counter was very helpful and nice. I came in to pick up a Robicelli Tres Leches cupcake. It was very yummy. As I stood in line I noticed there was a few regular clients and they seemed pretty psyched about these sandwiches they were buying. I've had the biggest curiosity to go back and try those sandwiches for awhile now. I'll definitely be stopping by here very soon.

Ricki H.

Yelp
Great place for specialty foods and an amazing cheese collection with a wonderfully personable and knowledgeable cheese master! Food is always fresh and the atmosphere is warm and inviting. You are greeted with a smile and offered help immediately - worth the visit!

Lisa D.

Yelp
I was lured in by a lavender French marshmallow in the window, seduced by the Sorpressata, and bewitched by the black and white truffle oil duet and balsamic vinegar flavored with lemon and ginger.

L B.

Yelp
My NYCBFF and I were walking around Park Slope when I spied cute little cupcakes in the window of this gourmet goods shop and I stopped us in our tracks for a detour. The store is tiny and cute, chock full fancy foods ranging from cheeses to meats to chocolates to baked goods. I had a vanilla cupcake with chocolate frosting and an oreo cupcake. The vanilla cupcake was good, with a smooth chocolate frosting. The oreo cupcake was dry and the frosting was overly sweet.

Amy P.

Yelp
I don't care for the crowds pressing in on me, or the distracted cheese kids. But who cares! Blacksticks Blue (a kind of Shropshire blue); 4 kinds of aged Gouda; Spanish, Italian and German ham; real German wieners; giant packs of spaghetti wrapped in blue paper; delicious breads and cakes and chocolates and more and more and more! Of course it's over priced. And it's closed Mondays. Tip: porcini bullion is so cute and so good!

Becca F.

Yelp
I love a good cheese tasting and the folks at Blue Apron are always happy to take me on a tour of their offerings, but what really inspired me to review them (I've been stopping by for odds and ends for a few years now) is that they now carry Baked cupcakes saving me the schlep to Red Hook. One stop for cupcakes and cheese? Perhaps that should be my 2010 diet plan?

Taylor L.

Yelp
I wish parents with small children would figure out it's impossible to navigate this narrow little shop with a stroller. I'm sure it's exhausting to be a parent, but it's WAY more exhausting to be constantly nagging the people around you for a little more room just so you don't have to carry the tiny one for ten minutes. Kvetching aside, the cheese and meat and chocolate selections are not to be rivaled. Do yourself a huge favor; come here some hot day, buy some salami, some good cheese (let the guy behind the counter pick for you, he has fantastic taste), and one of their ridiculously expensive chocolate bars, grab a six-pack of beer at the liquor shop across the street, and hie ye to Prospect Park. It'll be the most blissful afternoon you've had in a long time. They are also a good resource for any number of dainty little patisserie embellishments, like candied lavendar and rose petals, or if you're just feeling experimental in dessert-land (salt caramels? I am skeptical, but I am also intrigued.) Also, I must refute someone else on here: cupcakes are wondrous.

Jessica L.

Yelp
I love this place. It's small, cute, and the staff are friendly. Plus, the cheese selection is excellent. I've tried some amazing cheese from here and would recommend anyone check out the options. Plus, the sandwiches rock and they have delicious and fresh ingredients. Just go here.

Yelp
Best place in the slope to pick up cured meats and cheese from Europe at reasonable prices. Ok, its not cheap, but you can without a questionable doubt taste the difference between their serrano hams and domestic stuff etc...etc... You can sit down with 40 bucks worth of cheese and cured meats, some figs and nuts and other fruit and a bottle of Yellowtail and feel about as decadent as one can possible be all the while sitting in your skivvies with the girl on a Sunday afternoon at home. There are a lot of things that Europeans f*up and f*up bad... like tomato sauce and other food items in capri sun drink boxes. Miniscule 10 ounce cokes. Half-size fridges in the flat....BUT....knowing how to live and eat right is certainly not one of those things. They do it and do it well. And when you pickup some meats and cheeses from Blue Apron and kick back on a lazy weekend and indulge in the orgy of flavor from your purchase you sit and you can almost understand why so many of your friends moved to London and never looked back. Me? Well I need a good slice of pizza and some White House Sub shop grinders to keep me happy. PS Yellowtail Shiraz/Shiraz reserve are rated decent by Parker and depending on whether or not you like oak (in the reserve) can suit everyones tastes.

Yelp
I always walk past Blue Apron and think about going in for the cupcakes, which they have prominently displayed in their window. They always look very cute, and have a variety of flavors available daily. Yesterday, I finally went with my friend. I got a "peanut butter" cupcake (chocolate cake with PB frosting) and she got a "caramel apple" cupcake (apple cake with caramel frosting). They were extremely cute and attractive and appetizing-looking cupcakes. The flavor was good, the frosting was nice, but we both found the cake's texture to be extremely dense and dry. (We did go on a Saturday evening, so maybe we didn't get the freshest cupcake ever.) We were a little disappointed! However, the staff at Blue Apron was exceedingly friendly and cheerful. Plus, there were a lot of cool gourmet food items available. There even seemed to be a lot of food gift items that you could get. As a result, I would definitely go back to check out the other gourmet items... I just wouldn't go back for the cupcakes.

Miranda R.

Yelp
An excellent shop! No snobbishness, just a really great playgound of yummy-ness! Lots of cheeses, and a varied price range. Basics like roasted turkey (nitrate free!) and baguettes, along with more fun, special things like Apricot wrapped torrone and the longest bucatini you've ever seen! Friendly lovely place.

M R.

Yelp
This is a wonderful place to shop! It has the best smoked salmon in the slope. The staff and the management are very friendly, prompt and value regular customers. The cheese in the charcuterie is out of this world!!! love the Drunken Goat Cheese. Blue Apron is a treasure in Brooklyn! They love the all who come and visit. What makes Blue Apron so special is Jay! He is a real gentlemen and pleasure to see every time you come in. Blue Apron is a must for service and foodies! Yum!!!

randall t.

Yelp
I miss this place so much! My boyfriend used to work here, and thank god because it is a bit pricey. But it is so worth it! I've been to a few cheese spots in NYC, and this one blows them all out of the water. The staff are very knowledgeable, and it is one of the best curated gourmet stores I've ever been in. The charcuterie here is also very good, and caters to Brooklyn's hip Park Slopians as well as those who have been living here for generations. There is something in here for everybody. Also, if you are looking for imported food or locally produced goods, you should check out the Blue Apron. As soon as I move back to Brooklyn, I am making a beeline for this place!

Véronique T.

Yelp
Small friendly store that has French delicacies- saucisson, pate, confits, cheese and a bakery. The employee working at the deli is extremely friendly and helpful. Their baguettes are good for what they are, but not as good as the ones you can get in France for sure.

Joanna G.

Yelp
They have meats, cheeses, olives, pastries, Jacques Torres chocos, fun softdrinks, weird pickles and nice selection of imported Cadbury and Nestle stuff that you UK/OZ/Kiwis might appreciate. (Actually, we can all appreciate an Aero or a Lion bar. ) They also have Bazzini's pistacios and handmade marshmallows. recommend: marshmallow, raspberry pecan bar. note: i have found on of the handpacked okra pickle brands in my local MET supermarket for 3.29 vs Blue Apron's $5 and change. But i recognize that quality in one place comes at a price.

Caesar R.

Yelp
The sliver of a shop is ideal for those heading to the park for picnic essentials. Pre-made sandwiches, breads, an extensive selection of cheeses and charcuterie items will make you swoon for a picnic blanket and some space in Prospect park. Other specialty grocery (Caviar, fancy cookies, chocolates, coffee, pasta, etc.) items can also be found. Friendly service is in no short supply and neither are the prices. If you're claustrophobic in anyway or thinking of bringing a baby stroller in, do it on the off hours. Looking forward to warmer weather to supply for the next picnic in the park!

Erik W.

Yelp
Blue Apron has a great selection of exotic European edibles. Fresh baked bread, meats, cheeses, fine confections. Pretty much a little bit of everything in a tiny little Park Slope store. We were just looking around and ended up buying a tube of our favorite German sweet mustard. Well actually it was made in Austria, but you get the idea. Definitely a pricey little place but a foodie heaven.

Jonathan E.

Yelp
I've lived in the area for over a year and have walked by many times without venturing in. From the street it looks tiny, so I kept zipping on by. But on a lazy day when I was in less of a hurry, decided to pop in. Glad I did. It is a tiny place, but looks are deceiving. There's a front room that is quite small (which is what you see from the street), especially with the cashier stand taking up a good deal of space. But it's more like a railroad apartment once inside, with a long (skinny) depth to it that takes you though a mini-market of exotic miscellany... coffee, breads, chocolates, spreads, an olive bar, cheeses, baked goods, sauces and finally dry goods and a butcher/meat counter. It's kind of like a Dean & Deluca, reduced to the footprint of a 7-11. You don't go here for normal groceries but do go here for special things. Some of it is quite pricey, but that's more a reflection of unique and quality fare. This isn't a place simply stocking shelves with everyday stuff for the everyman buying stuff for everyone (they are especially void of things with short shelf lives such as produce/seafood or anything frozen). Given their challenge space, they've seemingly sought to deliver unique fare that isn't easily found at the nearby Key foods, Food Coop or Union Market. In fact, I've not seen a lot of their offerings in any store - plus they seem to source a lot of regional/local goods. Even though somewhat small, they are packed with unique products and are worth a peek. I'm sorry I didn't sneak one earlier, as I've been missing out on a cool place to peruse.

Debra P.

Yelp
Yelp removed my review for this great business because I mentioned that is not the same as the online business of the same name that got negative reviews. Yelp doesn't care about bad reviews for the wrong business. They told me so in an email.

Suzie Q.

Yelp
Beautiful displays, wide variety of gourmet foods, a great way to introduce yourself to new foods. Sandwiches also look amazing. The main draw for me is the best baguette in Brooklyn, by Pain d'Avignon. Cons: The hours (they close early and open late on weekends so I can't do a breakfast baguette); prices.

Nikki G.

Yelp
This gourmet providore has an assortment of morish delights to wet the tastebuds. I had one of their tarts to take to a BBQ which was demolished immediately by the hungry hoards. The kind of place to go to when you want to impress, but unlikely to be a daily place unless you're in a certain salary bracket and due to their limited boutique selection.

Katie B.

Yelp
This place is small and can get crowded, but it's AWESOME. They have the greatest selection of the coolest candy/random foods you can think of. They definitely choose wisely when it comes to what the sell, because all of the creative packaging makes me want to buy everything! Every sales person in the store is sweet and personable. I can't wait to come back!

Miranda S.

Yelp
I was underwhelmed by this shop in my neighborhood. True, they have gathered many fine things together in one place. But also true that they wildly overcharge for those things and serve them up with a dose of snootiness that I could do without. If you want great cheese and meats, make the trip to Murray's Cheese Shop. The prices are substantially less there and the staff equally substantially more knowledgeable and welcoming. Or, better yet, join the Park Slope Food Coop and buy wonderful cheeses for just a few dollars. We tried the Quiche Lorraine, which tasted nothing at all like quiche (more like a swiss cheese tart) and certainly nothing like Quiche Lorraine (I found a single piece of ham in my slice).

Jess Z.

Yelp
For the *longest* time, I kept hearing that Blue Apron was insanely expensive. I also wrongly assumed that it was a shmancy bakery and the cupcakes in the window led me to believe it was true. I wish I'd gone in earlier. Note: Just because they have $24/lb (and up) cheese and equally pricey meats, doesn't mean you can't buy the less expensive but equally delicious ones, many of which are less than $12/lb. The vibe is so welcoming and fun and the people who work there are delightful. I accidentally knocked over a stack of candy bars with my purse and no one even gave me a sideways glance. (No one was rude during my second near knock over either). All in all, it's a really wonderful place to shop. The credit card minimum was $10 and that was just fine, our half pound of all beef salami (fancy name forgotten) and box of Swedish pancake mix only amounted to $10.50.

Daniel F.

Yelp
Just a perfect store for the best quality smoked and cured fish, cheese, dried pastas, pastries, breads, sandwiches, fun European beverages and more. Great staff and very reasonably priced.

sharra w.

Yelp
I love the friendly guys in the back who cut the meats and cheeses. They seem to love their jobs. They have delicious deli turkey, dried meats, sausages, cornichon and cheeses. I used to get my Emmi yogurt there, but they no longer carry it. They have the best lightly salted pistachios in huge bags. It's just a fun store with wonderful ginger cookies by the checkout and dark chocolate covered toffee like a homemade heath bar. I like the french bread but the other baked goods I don't enjoy as much. Honestly, I get most of my bread and cheese from the Grand Army Plaza Farmer's Market on Saturdays. The girls at the front register aren't jolly like the guys in the back, but they do their jobs.

Kyle W.

Yelp
This tiny store packs in a large variety of excellent meats, cheeses, and gourmet goodies. Don't pass up the hand carved off-the-bone applewood smoked ham. You'll be in carb heaven with the selection of cupcakes, scones, tarts, and Amy's breads The staff is friendly and knowledgeable. The prices are a tad on the high side, but quality and freshness of items ease the pain. Highly recommended if you are looking for a great assortment of cheese and charcuterie.

leila s.

Yelp
This place has caster sugar and cake flour, two very hard to find bakers ingredients (at least in brooklyn). You can also get tasty high end sodas, fancy cheese (and free cheese consultations) and delicious cured meats. If you are looking for a specific gourmet ingredient this place probably has it, from infused olive oils to imported pasta, Bay's english muffins (the BEST) to volcanic salts and italian candies. You will pay dearly for these fancy groceries. It will be worth it.

George C.

Yelp
Not to be confused w/ the food/meal delivery service that seems to be second behind Amazon with the most deliveries in Manhattan, this place boasts a pretty good selection where we found some great edible gifts (mostly for others, but some for us too).

Jane D.

Yelp
Placed my first order last week for delivery this past Monday....order never arrived. LaserShip said the order was "delivered to my front door"---it wasn't. Lack of response from both Blue Apron and LaserShip. VERY DISAPPOINTED

Beth K.

Yelp
I just signed up on yelp specifically to review this business. I have lived in the slope for two years now, and though I travel from the South Slope to Union to hit the co-op since we moved here, I have not gone into this shop. Today the co-op was swamped with early morning shoppers, and I saw the lights on and people stocking shelves with yummy looking bread in this adorable looking shop. I decided to go in to get a few things, and opened the door to enter. I was greeted with a young woman behind aforementioned counter with a rude, "We are not open yet." and her co-worker, and older gentleman followed up with a "Read the sign on the front of the door." I ask, is this any way to greet a prospective customer? I think a "Good morning, we are not quite yet open." Or perhaps, lock the door if you do not want anyone coming into the shop. I was a potential customer, and was made to feel like an intruder. I have worked in the service industry for years, this is not the way to behave when you are serving or selling people food, and drink. I have also seen from many other posts, that the staff here is "rude, condescending, snobbish". Spend your dollars elsewhere there are many other great shops in Park Slope to get great foodstuffs. The co-op has super cheeses, as well as, yes, I will say it Union Market. Try Grab on 7th Ave between 14th and 15th st. Go to Eagle Market for polish delicacies, and awesome beer. Skip the rude and offensive attitude here at Blue Apron Foods. Plenty of other local retailers could use your hard earned dollars!

Melody H.

Yelp
The red velvet cupcake in the window beckoned me into this wonderland of gourmet goodies one lazy Saturday afternoon. Lots of British snacks and candies, freshly baked bread, and a splendid selection of charcuterie and cheese. I smiled as I overheard one of the guys behind the counter say, "Hold on, I'm playing with the flavors in my mouth right now..." as he was trying to recommend cheese pairings for a customer. The four stars is based on the red velvet cupcake, which was delicious and chocolatey, but tasted more like a regular chocolate cupcake than a red velvet cupcake. Still, supercute, and if I lived in Brooklyn, would be the place I went for my Eurofood.

Joolz M.

Yelp
This lovely little shop excels at what it does, and that is..offering tasty provisions like cheeses, chocolates and freshly baked breads to the lucky passerby like myself. I scored some homemade mozzarella, but if you want other cheese in many delicious varieties, they have you covered too. I also bought a wonderfully fresh baked loaf of pumpernickel rye. YUM! They even have my favorite UK chocolates like Aero and McVitties Bisquits (yep, the good ones--with chocolate) and many other organic and extremely well-made chocolates and candy of all varieties. The prices are comparable to other local stores and everything there is high-quality. It was almost like going to Europe for a second, and it was a delightful experience.

k R.

Yelp
When you walk into Blue Apron, it feels like you are suddenly in a small food shop in Europe. I have been nothing but impressed with all this tiny shop has to offer. Their cheese selection is fantastic. If you are a connoisseur of cheeses, you will have no problem choosing from their diverse selection offered. Not a pro? Ask one of their helpful staff members. They even let you sample before you buy. The shop also has a variety of meats, olives and other fine foods. I also enjoy their candy section, which features locally made chocolates, imported confections (like Brittish chocolates), as well as unique candy creations from around the states. The prices are what you would expect when searching for such quality items, but the superb service, welcoming atmosphere and selection makes up for the cost. The only downside to the shop is its size. Best to leave your stroller at the the door. All in all, worth the trip every time!

Yelp
A neighborhood purveyor of Italian meats, fresh pastas, olives and cheeses with some gourmet condiments and candies. Samples are available for any meat or cheese. The double cured salmon was delish! The space is rather small, so be prepared to get cozy with fellow shoppers!

Yelp
This is a specialty foods store. They carry very high quality products, ranging from sweets to cheese and charcuterie, as well as an extensive collection of nonperishable items like oils, vinegars, sauces, dressings, etc. It's a great place to go pick up a random item or two, a place to stock up for a picnic in the park, or simply to indulge your senses and spoil yourself a bit. Small space, big prices. Bring your wallet, and try not to come when you're ravenous or you might default.

Yelp
One of the few places in the city of NYC (not just Brooklyn) that carries such hard-to-find specialties as Jamon Serrano (Spanish version of prosciutto), Spanish blood sausage (morcilla), not to mention great selection of cheeses, condiments, pastas, oils, and locally baked breads.

Yelp
I got a chocolate bar here with bacon in it. Sounds disgusting right? It was delicious. It also cost about 6 dollars but it was totally worth it.

Yelp
I am obsessed with this place, they have everything- imported cheeses, meats, honey, bread, pasta etc. They also have fresh baked goods and delicious desserts. If I wasn't concerned about gaining another 10 pounds I would be here twice a week! The service is always so nice too, a lot of people from neighborhood restaurants shop here too for their places so it makes me feel like I'm "keeping it in the neighborhood!"
