A nationally accredited museum presenting regionally rooted, globally engaged exhibitions. Recent programming has ranged from Rodin to Louisiana photography—an essential stop for context beyond the dance halls.
I visited this art museum during my Louisiana getaway. The three exhibitions currently displayed are educational. Besides, the whole museum is surrounded by nature and arts, which makes me feel completely unwound 😊😊😊

Such lovely staff.
Gorgeous exhibits. How special to have on campus.
Students I hope take advantage of free access. I recommend coming with your friend for a stroll even in gloomy weather and expanding your worldview. If this was on my campus I would visit every exhibit at least twice and use that time to connect with a new friend and follow up with coffee or a Borden's milkshake.
My father saw many of the Rodin exhibit as a 23 year old in France it was a beautiful experience to share in his memories. Lots of French speakers when I visited I couldn't tell if they were Cajun French or international. It was a pleasant and melorable part of the visit for sure.
I am so lucky I was able to join him for an Alumni event and see this exhibit that brought back so many wonderful memories. I wish I had seen the women's exhibit upstairs.
Thank you for such a lovely visit.

The staff is very courteous and helpful. The art on display was beautiful and there were a variety of pieces. It is a beautiful place. My friend and I came to see the George Rodrigue display and had the pleasure of meeting his son Andre who happened to be there with his lovely girlfriend.

It's a nice museum to visit. And the surrounding area was clean, nice and quiet. There're a lot of huge oak trees, pretty cool area to walk around.
I love the plantation-style building. It's beautiful, and they did a really good job on maintaining it.

Great art exhibits from all over. I was especially happy to see my old friend Floyd Sonnier's works on display.

Loves this place. Seeing all the UL students artwork from the past 20 years was also pretty amazing. So much talent! And loved the visitor participation activities.

Yelp
Excellent museum in a beautiful space on campus. When we visited, there was a Rodin exhibit which featured a large collection of sculptures and was incredibly informative. Well worth a visit.

Yelp
We did a quick Google search of what to do in Lafayette. This popped up as the first thing. We can see why this was first on the list. Parking was easy on a Saturday we parked across the street. The cost is $5 per adult. The A. Hays Town exhibit was really good. It was nice seeing more about some of the homes in our area a local architect designed. The staff was helpful and the gift shop had some fun finds for purchase!

Yelp
Worth a visit to check out the building alone. It's amazing that there's something like this in Lafayette, tucked away in the UL campus. I hope that future years bring exhibits that draw people to the space, because it's a shame that it's never very busy.

Yelp
The museum is a clean, beautiful complex surrounded by great oaks and bamboo. The glass walls hold a spotless, wonderfully clean and crisp interior that is worthy of the art it possesses. It is a must-see if you are in Lafayette.
