Best park in Southern California! The best town in America! Fantastic community with amazing people and beautiful parks. This park is perfect for families. Enjoy nature while reading a book or play some sports. God bless America!

Awesome park, basketball court stays pretty busy on a nice day. Facilities are a plus.

Super place to take young children. Large sand pit with separate spaces for younger and older children. Wide variety of playground equipment including monkey bars, swings with child seats and a zip line. Relatively clean bathrooms. Wide open spaces with awesome view of local communities. Somewhat windy, however. Lots of wide parking spaces that are family car friendly. Nicely landscaped and well maintained. Adjacent to undeveloped areas.

Google
This is a fully equipped park with party space for rent and for community events. Concrete walking paths that are laced on the side with exercise apparatuses and large gazebos with picnic tables, benches, and even trash cans for hot charcoal. There are basketball courts, table-tennis tables, clean restrooms and fully equipped kids sanded and soft cushioned play grounds. There is an entrance to hiking tracks that take you up the Black Mountain top that is dominated by large satellite dishes and antenna towers or its lower Miners Ridge over looking million dollar newly built homes. The park itself is high up on a hill top (hence the name) and breezy, over looking Carmel High School's and Black Mountain Middle School's football and baseball yards, surrounding residential neighborhoods, and spetacular views. Although the park closes at 7pm, 5 pm on the weekend , it is well lighted and there are people here playing basketball, walking, and playing late into the night! This park is very popular and a hidden gem for the locals!

Google
Incredible place because of it's landscapes! You may see even the ocean from there! It is not crowded so you may enjoy the silence and just being with own thoughts. You also watch huge amazing kites that are flown quite often.

Yelp
Excellent view and nice walking area since it has a paved path. It's got a good playground for kids and lots of space for parties. It gets steady breeze from the ocean which keeps it cool, but if you rent a jump house, tie that thing down - I've seen a couple of them take flight over the years.

Yelp
We love this park! We discovered Hilltop a few years ago and have kept coming back since. Their bathrooms are pretty clean as well as the park. There are two playgrounds, one for older kids and one for youngers. In addition there's also a walking trail of sorts with a grass field in the middle. Highly recommend this park for anyone looking for a family friendly park.
google avatar

Yelp
Great park with multiple playgrounds, plenty of space for kids to bike and great for kids parties!

Yelp
Hidden gem in the Poway/Rancho Penesquitos area! It's perched on top of a hill so it's a great lookout place, picnic spot & area to watch the sunset. parking: free & easy

Yelp
This is the best park in the city, at least in my family's humble opinion. It's very well upkept and beautiful. Staff are joyful and helpful. Today I had the pleasure of interacting with Joshua who was kind and cordial and running around taking care of a million tasks all around the park. We love this place.

Yelp
Came here for a birthday party, & was absolutely blown away by the 360 spectacular views of the city/San Diego. I can imagine on Fourth of July how epic this view would be (or after a fresh rain & no smog ). Lots of parking including street parking if the lot ends up filling up. Beautiful green grass to relax on, or let the kiddos play. Absolutely will be visiting this park again simply for the views! Fair warning if you bring food, the bees will come find you

Yelp
Free city park nested in a nice residential neighborhood. The park sits on a hill top, backing into a taller hill. Therefore, giving a 240-degree bird eye view of the city down below. There are plenty of green spaces for physical activities or catching some sun. There is also a basketball court. There are at least 8 covered pavilions for picnicking. There are restrooms on site also. Plenty of free parking.

Yelp
We love Hilltop! It's always clean, feels safe and maintained, and we enjoy the activities the recreation center offers here! Parking can get a little tight on popular event days but that's to be expected anywhere really. We like the shaded gazebos, multiple playgrounds that entertain both our toddler and our 6 year old. We also love the walking loop with the amazing view. One of our favorite parks.

Yelp
Gorgeous morning to be up here. Fall chill in the air (47°F), bright and sunny, seem8ngly endless vista, and some great coffee.

Yelp
Park is full of entitled individuals who believe they are of a higher class and everyone else is less then. I recently attended the park for a third time hoping the first two experiences were flukes, unfortunately for me my suspicions were correct. There are people that walk around the park " policing " individuals who they feel don't belong based off the way they dress and the car they drive. I came to park driving a vintage 1993 Saturn two door coupe sports car and was immediately presented with a couple addressing me in a manor that was nothing short of being full on harassment. They critique my vehicle as well as the way I was dressed, talk down to me as if I was lower class then them and warned me that they would report my car to tow company and have removed after reporting it as being abandoned. I simply ignore and walk away to enjoy a nice walk over in garden path area and try to brush off the rude ignorance I was just confronted with. During my walk I came across another woman who made it very abundantly clear to me that I was not properly dressed for the park, ( I was in a light blue Tommy Bahama t-shirt, light blue & white plaid Tommy bahama shorts, a San Diego padres hat, pair of Nike dunk lows ) all freshly clean and pressed. I again walk away and tried to avoid confrontation. After about another 5-7 mins of walking along path I heard the vague sounds of a truck beeping as it was backing up, it caught my attention and caused my concern to see where it was coming from. Much to my surprise there was a tow truck that was inching ever so slightly towards my car and I began to panic and ran over to confront the driver. He instructed me that the tow company had been dispatched to pick up an abandoned vehicle that he was just there to do his job. Unfortunately for me the car was registered to a relative and I was not on the registration, even though I had the keys in my hand, the tow truck driver was hell-bent on towing. I begged and pleated with him that there in fact was a mistake and that the car was not abandoned , it was simply parked while I was taking a leisurely stroll to the park . he didn't seem to care what I had to say , he continued to hook up my car as I pleaded my case . Needless to say I spent the day and a half and almost $400 retrieving the car from impound. All of this came to be due to the fact a wealthy, entitled, arrogant couple decided they did not like my car or myself and money is power and paid off the tow company to come tow my car in fact!! So that being said , I highly cautioned anyone considering visiting hilltop Park and recreation center, unless you in with the who's who of the area and don't mind being belittled and harassed for simply existing and trying to enjoy a peaceful afternoon stroll.

Yelp
Absolutely beautiful park with awesome views!! We came here early on a morning, and depending on the day it can either be really warm or really windy, so best to bring jackets just in case Parking is ample and easy, large grass area for running and picnics, water fountains and bathrooms available as well. The bathrooms are kept very clean 2 large play structures for play. A larger climbing structure for older kids (and brave smaller kids) with a triple slide and rock wall. Smaller structure has bucket swings and ramps/bridges to run around as well as smaller slides. Lots of sand so don't forget your sand toys!! Lots of sidewalk that forms circles around the entire park and playground making it the perfect places for bikes, trikes, scooters etc. Off to the side of the parking lot is a hiking trail as well if you feel up to it. Just down the street is bad ass Hawaiian coffee (with a drive thru) for any mamas, or tired people, looking for a pick me up before the park

Yelp
The Yelp reviewers are right about this park. The high elevation gives you spectacular views. There is plenty of parking, and there are restrooms. There is a play area for kids with all sorts of play structures, sand, etc. There are benches to relax and enjoy the view, picnic tables, and picnic shelter areas that can be reserved for parties. There are trees and plenty of grass to play soccer or other sports. There is a basketball court too. There are sidewalks that make it easy to get all over the park and for people to get there laps in. The park also gives you access to the nearby trail system if you really want to get some fitness in.

Yelp
Large park w a lot to offer. Several play areas. Two large fields. Several seating areas. And most importantly, decent restrooms for kids.
google avatar

Yelp
Great view and amenities. Clean and well maintained park. It is a PQ hidden gem. Good place to watch sunsets and fireworks or just relax and enjoy the nature and San Diego weather.

Yelp
This park has a sweet spot in my heart. It was a park I use to frequent quite a lot when I was in high school. The views at night are really nice, you can easily zone out to music while looking at the twinkling city lights below. It's well maintained and very clean. There are bathrooms here as well. I use to run laps around the cement pathway that wraps around the main center grass area. There is a basketball court as well and is lit at night. Not sure how long the lights stay on the court though. They do not lock up the parking lot, I've stayed past 10pm with no parking lot issues. There are benches that face the edge of the park, which is great spot to sit down to enjoy the views. You can also have picnics or parties here. There are few covered tables and benches. The playground equipment it also well maintained, I would feel safe having my niece play here. Also the entrance to the black mountain trail head is close to the end of the parking lot at the culdesac . Nice little hiking trail you can take.
google avatar

Joann T.

Yelp
Nice community park with a trailhead that leads to several hikes. The nighthawk hike takes you up to the top of the hill, its a beautiful view with a bench that overlooks the community. It takes about an hour to go up at a steady pace. Stay straight (more towards the left) if you want to hike up the nighthawk trail, some of the signs are pretty worn down and it seemed to stop at one point so it was a bit confusing. The trail is pretty rocky so it's easy to slip and slide, make sure to wear shoes with plenty of traction!

Yelp
With Covid and not being able to eat in restaurants...the family and I have been going to the local parks for early summer picnic dinner with takeout food... So here we go...4/5 stars Parking - 5/5 plenty of parking and easy street parking as well Seating - 3/5 large green area for picnic as long as you bring your own picbic blanket... limited shaded area. It does get windy...so Crowd - 3/5 a good size crowd but everyone is still distanced... Trashcan - 4/5 trashcan and there is also recycling too but many were full and awaiting trash pickup View - 5/5 on a good day, you can see the ocean...good place for sunset viewing

Yelp
One of the few parks around with pull up bars and dip bars for outdoor workout. There are plenty of gym here in SD but we do need more like this available. Very good!
google avatar

Sarah A.

Yelp
On a clear night, you can see TJ from this park like Sarah Palin sees Russia from her balcony, JK but always good for a laugh. We met up with a photography group (link below) at this park for a special astronomical event! The view here is spectacular. There were regular workout park goers aside from the photography group and the lot was packed with easy parking access. Many people brought families, children and pets it was chilly with the lit city laid out before us with the super blue blood mood darkening as it entered the penumbra and umbra, the various shadow degrees which create the spectacular event, another will not occur until after I'm dead so I'm thankful I saw this one though next year at the same month there will be another lunar eclipse just not a super moon, meaning it will not be as close to us as it was this time! https://www.meetup.com/pacificphoto

Yelp
Just a beautiful place to catch a view of parts of San Diego if you cannot make it to the beach or Mt Soledad. You could see most of Carmel Valley and the sun setting. They have lots of seating all around, and basketball courts. Lots of parking - although maybe not during rush hour - when everyone goes to the park. Lots of breeze, although this is coming from someone who went at near the night. But lots of space. Park is very clean!
google avatar

Pradeep M.

Yelp
One of the best park around the area. The view is breath taking due to its elevation. Great for Birthday parties and other picnic activities. They also have indoor hall for parties. Couple of nice trail heads nearby which leads too Black Mountain. Black Mountain is one of a few where you can stay close to the coast and still get the kind of spectacular views that San Diego should be much more famous for. From the tower-crowned summit, one can see the entirety of the county from the Peninsular Ranges west, while the ocean shimmers so close that you can almost reach out and touch it.
google avatar

Thuong T.

Yelp
This is a really nice park to take your kids for a little outdoor fun. There are two playgrounds. Large areas of grass. Lots of tables and benches. A large parking lot. Paved sidewalks. Beautiful view of the city. And even better view of all the city lights at night. And everyone here is friendly. My only complaint is that they need more trees with shade on the grassy areas.
google avatar

Aaron S.

Yelp
Great park with so much area to play! Two separate jungle gyms, 5 huge gazebos, a track with exercise stations, 2 large grassy areas. You need to call and stop by to reserve the gazebo's. Don't stay up here to late in the afternoon the wind is always blowing and very chilly. Not unbearable but cold enough for a jacket. Enjoy this place and pick up your trash! Thanks!
google avatar

Andrew M.

Yelp
GOT wonderful running path around a circular field for us, who were addicted to high school track - makes it easy to count laps and at the same time enjoy 360 degree views and if the weather is right (clouds or fog), then its all run and no sun-sweat (as it was today!) AND, with four HEALTHLINE Fitness Stations, along the track, its so tempting/easy to forgo Gym membership (almost like cutting the cord as much of iPhony-n-Blackberried-America has done.) Hilltop is my American Pie. Great tips by other yelpers like AlannaD (4/3/2009) that its a great place for picnic with kids (got a big playground and several gazebos) and as she said, "...sunning views of the sunset over the ocean and the hot air balloons." One thing we in north county are eternally grateful to the Govt of San Diego County is not turning over this hill to developers. Then it would have been pockmarked with private patios.

Yelp
I love this park!! It's big and beautiful. They have 4 infant swings, which is why I go! It's never too crowed. They have tons of areas to sit to have lunch and they also have a huge field to play on. They have benches with BBQ grills. It's all around great. And the ice cream man comes!!
google avatar

Maria C.

Yelp
We came here for a holiday event where there were various stations for the kids and adults to hang out. There is a community center where you can host an event, an outdoor playground, picnic tables, beautiful views and lots of grassy areas. There is a parking lot out front, but there is tons of parking on the street outside the lot. What a nice place to take the kiddos and pets.
google avatar

David F.

Yelp
This is a great park to play basketball at. The courts are a little bit slippery but there still fun to play on. I bring my daughter and niece to this park because they have a really good jungle gym. The best thing about this park is that there's a view of the entire city because you were really at the top of the park and mountain. It's also not that crowded. It's a park that's tucked away in a little nook in Rancho Peñasquitos. I love it here
google avatar

Detria N.

Yelp
This is a great park! There are plenty of activities to do and tons of shade! I've been here for Birthday parties, classes and just to exercise. There can be a variety of creatures here depending what time of the year you come so I recommend keeping an extra close eye on little ones.
google avatar

Bonnie G.

Yelp
What a lovely park. We visited today for the first time and my son loved it. Here's what I loved: 1. Plenty of picnic tables 2. Separate areas for older and younger kids 3. Lots of equipment in both play areas (slides, swings, playhouse) 4. Ample parking We'll be back!
google avatar

Jim L.

Yelp
Hilltop is a great place for all ages. Whether it be to take your kids and hang out or to play a pick up game of flag football with your buddies. The park includes an ample playground for the kids along with a large open are for the kids to run and work out the excess energy. There is also one of the few lighted outdoor basketball courts in the area. The veiws from up here are quite amazing, with views of downtown San Diego and the ocean on clear days.
google avatar

Arnel D.

Yelp
Used to come here all the time to shoot hops, jog and play football! Still come here for parties either inside the clubhouse or out in the gondolas. Still a very comfy and accompanying park for any event! Just make sure you plan accordingly if you're going to have a few guests as parking is an issue, especially on weekends.

Sophi J.

Yelp
There's a great park, I've been going here for years. It has exercise rocks all around the track to keep you entertained while running. It also describes what each exercise does for your body and how to do it. You also have a really well-made play ground and the basketball court. The main track is open .3 miles around.
google avatar

Ashley D.

Yelp
I've been going to Hilltop park for years. I've had a picnic on the grass, played hide and go seek, froze to death watching 4th of July fire works, and enjoyed some great conversations at the top. It's beautiful and a full view of the ever so massive and diverse San Diego. I recommend bringing a blanket at night and having a picnic during the day. You're signing yourself up for a great workout if you start from the bottom of the hill and walk your way up to the top.

Yelp
Great park for all different activities. We had a birthday party here on a Sunday under a large gazebo with 6 tables under it. Try to reserve the spots by calling ahead of time and the city of SD will put a sign up on the gazebo you want. Alcohol is allowed here, but no bottles. I called to confirm this with the phone number on the signs posted and they told me it was ok. There is a large playground. Tons of grassy area and even an area to walk around the park in laps. There is a hiking trail that starts here as well. Parking lot is large and there is street parking if the lot gets full. They have a rec center and basketball courts as well. Dogs are welcome here as long as they are kept on a leash. Workers empty the trash in the afternoon and the two that we met were really friendly. The view is amazing! You can see the ocean on a clear day. Landscape all around is a great sight.

Kathryn Y.

Yelp
Great hike! Great view! About 4.9 miles round trip. The trail is rocky at times and there are different trails up the hill.
google avatar

Brittney S.

Yelp
Great park! Lots to do for the kids, or hosting a party. There are plenty of Gazebos, some with benches, a couple without. If you want to reserve one, you'll have to call. We hosted our daughters 1st birthday party here and we were able to have 80+ attendees under one large gazebo. Granted some kids played on the playground and in the large grass area, but we still made it work. There are two playgrounds- one catering to the older kids and one catering to the younger kids. Each play set had shade above them. Perfect for a hot day. There's an indoor rec. center I have not been inside, but the bathrooms are located near there. There's a private parking lot big enough to not fill up when having a large party on a weekend. The mountain trailhead is at the entrance to the park if you want to go on a hike. I highly recommend throwing a party here! There are coal pits if you want to BBQ.

Deepu J.

Yelp
Great park and open space for all ages. Ample parking, kids play area, ground. The views from the top are amazing.
google avatar

Hey El El E.

Yelp
When this park first opened, I thought this was the best local park next to Balboa Park. Afterall, you have the 360 degree view of San Diego, a great place to watch fireworks for July 4th, lots of ample space for parties and parking, perfect for flying kites, and a pretty nice playground area. Cool! Good place for entertaining kids and adults. It wasn't until I actually started using the meeting spaces inside the recreation center that made me change my mind to make it 4-stars. Customer service still counts for a public service like this. The manager there is probably the most miserable person I've ever met. I've been there four times to ask questions and reserve space. She acts as though I'm such a bother to her. While I'm trying to be very pleasant to her, she is very kurt and unwelcoming. But, I come back each time with my check and a smile even though her disposition is dark. She's also the manager at Canyonside Park in PQ. You can reserve the meeting rooms in the recreation center for a fee. Non-profits with a federal tax id can receive a discounted rate. Otherwise, it's great for birthday parties and events because of the kitchen, tables, and chairs provided. Remember, if you want your deposit back, you have to clean the space really well.
google avatar

Andy U.

Yelp
This place is awesome. As the name would imply, this park is located on a hilltop in Rancho Penasquitos which overlooks PQ / Mira Mesa and La Jolla. You can even see the friggin ocean on a clear day. I can't believe that I have lived in PQ and never really ventured here before. I guess it's because maybe I didn't really have to before. I took my 2 year old here the other day and she loved it. The playground equipment is brand spankin new (-ish) and more than enough for her to go into sensory overload. I can't help but think that I wished I was a kid again. Then I could play on the equipment myself. Well maybe...I can when I'm with my daughter. I think all the mom's would be like...."who's this guy?" I can see myself coming here more often with my daughter to chill and hang out.
google avatar

Stephanie S.

Yelp
I will forever love this place because of what it reminds me of. My girlfriend brought me to San Diego for my 2nd time in 2013 and we looked for a park to have a picnic at. We came across this one and at the time some of the parts were still being built. We ended up having a picnic and watching the sunset. This park is very nice and clean. There are 3 playgrounds that has been built. A big one, and medium size one, and a small one that basically just has a small slide. There is also an area for workout sessions, Picnic tables for parties, and green grass to roll around in.

Yelp
What a great park! Unfortunately the manager is just rude. I was asking about reserving a room there and she acted like I was bothering her. I just keep smiling and being polite thinking she would change her attitude. Wrong! I thought she just hated me but after reading the other review...I guess that's just her personality. I think it's time for her to retire. The park deserves a better manager. 5 stars for the park 1 star for the manager Once they change the manager, I will change it to 5 stars...so 3 for now.
google avatar

Janice T.

Yelp
I gave this park 3.5, but rounded up because its close to my house :) I like the nice open feeling of this park. Hilltop is a perfect name for it because its literally on top of a hill, overlooking the Penasquitos/ Carmel mountain/ Carmel valley area of San Diego. On a clear day you might even be able to see the Pacific Ocean! Since its on top of a hill, there's always a nice ocean breeze. This park has 5 party gazebos you can rent for $20 an hour with a 3 hour minimum. The gazebos are basically a shade and some tables... No electric sockets and no other amenities. They also have a party room you can rent for approx $85 dollars an hour that has a kitchen you can rent for an additional fee. I would have loved to rent this room for parties but they only allow you to rent it until 4 or 5pm....which it too early to end a party in my mind. The park has two sand playgrounds for kids to play in with the basic equipment like slides, swings, monkey bars...etc There are two huge grassy areas as well. Overall I like this park but if they could Make these changes listed below: I'll change my rating to 5 stars. 1. Electric sockets in gazebos 2. Change the ground covering in the playgrounds to the soft bouncy flat ground instead of the messy sand. 3. Have an option to extend the room rental hours. (There actually is an option but Staff do not want to stay the additional hours...even for overtime pay!)
google avatar

Shalini G.

Yelp
I have been here for numerous bday parties...it seems like this is the place for them...everytime i come there are at least 3 different parties going on. There is tons of grass...covered gazebos with picnic tables. 2 different play structures...sandboxes! and a beautiful breeze since it sits atop a hill with a gorgeous view! there are rooms that can be reserved too...i would imagine this would be a fabulous and less expensive wedding location. My parents said that they have been to a wedding here. most recently our girl scouts rented out one of these rooms for a painting event (like those paint and wine classes...but instead it was Canvas and Cookies) my only complaint is the parking situation...not a ton of parking available ...but you can park on the street...which is fine. This past time..one of the jumpy delivery peeps parked behind a row of 6 cars...and we were all blocked in. I couldn't find them to move them..and when they finally arrived they were rude about moving. ..but that has nothing to do with the park...it was the lame bouncy company (wish i had gotten their name)...but i was in a hurry and zoomed away. love this park...i need to plan an event here!

Yelp
One of my favorite parks in San Diego. The kids I know enjoy the playground, and my friends and I enjoy the view and BBQ areas and open space. Bonus: go in the evening on a clear day for sunning views of the sunset over the ocean and the hot air balloons, all while staying in the 92129 area. BONUS bonus: pack yummy picnic food and canned champagne (seriously, they make it. It comes with a flexi-straw, people. Amazing!) and catch the sunset with your significant other. You'll wind up with a very cheap, very easy to execute, and extremely romantic date.

Yelp
OK, so... My Month Long Yelp continues with a visit to Hilltop Park in PQ. I've been going to this park for the last few years. When I first started going, they were doing some construction. As with all government projects, it took years to complete. This one was really frustrating.. how long should it really take to put in a couple of jungle gyms for kids? A month... *maybe* two. This one took many, many months to complete and if I had reviewed back then, I'd have given it the old 2 star snuff. BUT... now that the playgrounds and jungle gyms are complete... since early 2008 I think... this is a great park! There's a huge grass field for flying kites, playing catch, football, soccer, etc. Circling the grassy area is a sidewalk with some exercise spots every few yards and benches interspersed throughout. At one end of the grassy area are a couple of basketball courts and some picnic tables with a grill or two nearby. There is a recreation room that can be rented by the hour (3 hour minimum), a couple of gazebos available for reservations (for a fee) and of course, the playground areas for the kids: one for younger (1-2 year olds) and one for toddlers and older kids (3-5+). Oh, and I definitely agree with other Yelpers who say the manager is rude. She definitely needs to work on her people skills. She is on the... how do you say.... "mature" side... maybe she's just tired. All the time. I've only had to deal with her when inquiring about renting the rec room. If you're just there to hang out at the park, you'll never notice her. One of the best things about this park is the view... it's a spectacular view of Carmel Valley, Mira Mesa and beyond. On a clear day, you can see all the way to Del Mar and the ocean! So.. whether you're looking for a great place for a playdate with the kids, searching out some lizards that hang out near the sidewalk on the west end of the park, or great place to fly a kite, Hilltop Park should definitely be on your short list.

Yelp
I would've given one more star, but here's why: Booked Gazeebo #2 for a party about a month and a half in advance. I was told $20/hr, 3 hr minimum. I was also told that they don't kick you out after your time frame because they only rent to one party a day. You do the math, but we paid only what we needed to in order to have the gazeebo the whole day. I asked if everyone does what we do and the nice young man said that his manager "changed the rule because of complaints of being rushed/kicked out" ....FAST FOWARD...... 4 days before our party, I get a call from the NEW manager. Giving me a "courtesy call" that someone wants the gazeebo after us. Conveniently, she only works 2-5 on the weekdays, so I had to strategize how I was going to get a hold of her. She wouldn't let us change our time frame so we had to buy another 3 hours. She told us that would ensure that we have the gazeebo for as long as we wanted. ....DAY OF THE PARTY... The permit posted only had our first time frame. Luckily, no one tried to "kick us out". Overall, this is a great venue for kid's parties. I recommend gazeebo #2 because is away from the crowd of the other 4 gazeebos. It is a walk away from the parking lot, playground, and bathrooms. But if you have a lot of people at your party, there is plenty of space to spill over..

Yelp
Today was my sons birthday party and we booked the hall from 11:00 to 3:00 .. I reached there at 9:30 thinking they will open the hall a bit sooner so I can set things up.. but the lady there ( I don't know her name ) said it's the policy that only 10:45 they would open.. of course i panicked coz generally any club house that I have booked allows us to set things up a bit eArlier coz we r just 4 or 5 of us setting things up for 100 guest.. I requested her to open it at least half hour before 11:00 she said " oh you know the policy since u came here two times to do the payment we are already GENEROUS enough to open it 15 mins before the party .. I understand that there is a policy but as a customer I requested instead of telling me " I'm sorry I cannot open the hall or I understand ur tensed but policy says this" she said "WE ARE GENEROUS ENOUGH " that's when I lost it .. I didn't tell her anything but I want to tell the management " Can u please tell me who is generous enough here ? U as a person running this place or we as a customer paying you some Money to run this place coz as per my understanding if we don't come to you and pay u some money to run this park, your park will loose out on some funds to run this place.. You don't need do be GENEROUS Enough to give just 15 mins before the party starts for doing prep work for 100 people.. if I can pay 500$ to book the hall for 4 hours I am way more GENEROUS enough to pay 500$ more for prep work .. again I don't have issue with ur policy but just the attitude and the way u spoke to us today... don't do me a favor by being GENEROUS enough.. We even requested her that the food that we have for kids will get spoiled coz it was hot and we were waiting for nearly 1 1/2hours outside and we didn't want to risk, we told her please can we keep the food in the refrigerator and u can close the doors we won't enter .. she said " USE COOLER" what kind of language is this.. Ur park is beautiful and we r coming there coz we love it but if u r going to talk to us in such a way I'm Sorry to say the attitude that u hold today coz everyone loves to come and praises about your park will soon be a park where people will stop coming and I'm definitely one of them .. I will try my best to stop my friends to book this place just coz of the way they speak to you.. if u cannot help us and have set of policies it's fine, I may request you but there is a way to say NO ... throw ur attitude to ur self I'm not here to deal with it...

Yelp
This is a super nice park. What the heck. I was delighted to be taken to this park on a beautiful day to enjoy the sun and the view! Seriously, the view is amazing. That's why it's called Hilltop Park...because it's on top of a hill. It is not a huge park but it has a couple nice grassy areas, some gazebos, playgrounds, and plenty of areas for people to exercise! I really enjoyed walking around and seeing all the families and the people enjoying the day. The park is well maintained and has plenty of parking! It made my uterus hurt because I don't have any kids and everyone was showing theirs off, but it was a really enjoyable place nonetheless, whether you have a family yet or not! Good place for a picnic, barbeque, birthday party (there were like 3 going on for kids while we were there), or to get some fresh air and exercise!

Yelp
Beautiful park for picnics while watching the sunset. Lots of BBQ, club house, restrooms, you got everything you need. Tons of parking space. Watch out for the snakes if you decide to hike. As others have said, you will get a 'I reached the top of the world feeling' in here. Well indicated, lighted and maintained. There are grassy areas as well, very comfortable and pleasant.
