This is my favorite hotel by far downtown. I commonly attend the convention center so it's very nice that's it's connected. The service here was 100% I was always greeted nicely, even when I didn't ask but looked confused a kind worker always came up and helped me figure out any issue I had. I for one love the convenience of checking in and out from my phone. I am a hilton member and have the app. It made my stay so smooth, it had all the information I need, electronic key, and I could chat with a team member for quick questions. The food is great, the service honestly shocked me. I never stayed anywhere that came and got my bags and followed me to my car and helped me load. I didn't have any noise issues and I loved the attention the housekeeping gave. Cleaning up the room without me having to call or ask was very nice. I enjoyed the fact they didn't throw my stuff around but set them neatly aside if it was in the way. This the place to stay if you want a smooth experience, nice room, and very family friendly. The indoor pool is my favorite. I don't like being outside much, so to me it was perfect and I didn't have to worry about the weather. 100/10 staying here always!

Everything was beautiful. Having breakfast on the top floor with stunning views of the city was one of my highlights as well as sitting balcony of the top floor over looking the city. The breakfast was good, but the amenities were better. There many options to choose from to eat. I didn’t get the chance to venture out much as I was really tired and needed my rest, but there are plenty of food options and things to do around the hotel. The bathrooms inside the room are beautiful, the bed was super comfortable, and the best part (for me) is that it was quiet. I couldn’t hear anything from the outside, except the occasional hotel guests but they weren’t loud either. Very nice hotel, I wish my stay was a little long just so I could do more.

One of the Best Hilton Experiences in the U.S.! 🌟 This was truly one of the best Hilton hotels I’ve stayed at in America. From the moment I arrived, the customer service was exceptional. As a Diamond member, I was warmly welcomed and received a voucher for appetizers and drinks at the on-site restaurant — a thoughtful touch! The room was impressively spacious, spotlessly clean, and well-appointed with excellent amenities. I stayed on a higher floor with a park view, which was beautiful and peaceful. One of the standout features was the exclusive concierge lounge available to Diamond members — a great place to unwind. The hotel also offers a spa, which made the stay even more relaxing and enjoyable. I genuinely loved every minute of my stay here. Everything was top-notch, and I would absolutely recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a luxurious and comfortable experience. Hilton really outdid themselves!

I visited this Hilton on Juneteenth week end as I was attending a family reunion. The Hotel was very nice, clean with hospitable employees who greeted you with a kind smile. The agent that checked me in was very accommodating and she made sure I had a clean room that was on the same floor as the rest of my family. She was a pleasure to deal with. Her name was Chardae Nealey. She made me feel right at home and I appreciated that. Overall I have nothing negative to say about my whole stay. I will definitely stay again if I ever come back that way.

Google
I had a pleasant stay at the Hilton Americas-Houston. The service was excellent staff were friendly, attentive, and always ready to help. The rooms are standard, but they have everything you need for a comfortable stay. Clean, functional, and well-maintained. There are **several options for eating and drinking** within the hotel, which is convenient if you don’t want to leave the property. I also really enjoyed the **rooftop area**, which includes a **well-equipped gym and a relaxing spa**—a great place to unwind. Overall, a solid choice for both business and leisure stays in downtown Houston.

Google
I had never been to this location before and was genuinely impressed. It’s part of our regular locations used by work which can sometimes include lackluster places. This hotel however had a lot of amenities, good food, GREAT STAFF and a convenient location. The different places to eat onsite had something for everyone, different price points, different atmospheres it was surprisingly an all in one spot. Will definitely look forward to future trips here!

Google
⭐️⭐️⭐️ 3 stars – Great hotel, but beware of large groups and limited food options The Hilton Americas in Houston is a beautiful hotel with friendly staff—at least until a massive (2000+ people) group arrived. From that point on, the lobby, 4th floor, hallways, and even rooms were loud late into the night. When I asked the front desk if anything could be done, they said they couldn’t ask the group to quiet down—only that they could move my room instead. On top of that, lunch options were basically nonexistent, and many of the hotel’s restaurants don’t allow you to charge meals to your room—even though they’re located in the hotel. Everything is also extremely expensive for what you get. If the group hadn’t been so disruptive and the hotel handled the situation better, this could’ve easily been a 4- or 5-star stay. Moral of the story: it’s a great property, but check the event schedule and food options before booking.

Google
Great location. Room was decent. Valet guys need service training. Terrace and view is nice, no service up there though. Don’t come here with hopes of a decent pool setup, their indoor “pool” is usually busy with old lap swimmers. Pretty big jacuzzi though. Close to everything downtown. Overall: A-

Yelp
Location, location, location! This is the dream hotel location for us parents that take our kids to tournaments at GRB. Not having to wake up too early and just leisurely taking the skywalk or crossing the street to the convention center with a cup of our morning joe is a relief. It's like hitting a lottery when you get booked at this hotel. Breakfast is not included and they charge $38 per day for self parking but we can overlook that. There are a lot of restaurants nearby, there is a Starbucks on the ground floor also although it does get very crowded early in the mornings. Our 11th floor room was spacious and the park view is breathtaking especially at night. Considering how crowded the hotel was, we didn't hear a peep during our 2nights stay. There are no microwaves in the rooms but there is a common area, I assume at every floor with a microwave and a sitting area, which worked for us. The staff were very friendly and accommodating, We definitely would not mind staying here again.

Yelp
Had such a great and seamless check-in experience with the Hilton Honors app. First time checking in on the app and my room was even ready a little bit before check in time. I picked my room as well and was hoping to get a room facing the park and unfortunately the diagram was a little misleading lol ended up facing the convention center, but oh well. Just be careful if you leave the curtains open because the rooms to the right of you may be able to see you. I appreciate it that you can request a microwave to your room. There is a $25 fee though with taxes. Self parking is $38 a day at an adjacent parking garage. It connects via a skybridge on the 2nd floor. You can add the fee to your overall hotel bill. I had checked in on the app and was using the app key to get into my room, so you just need to have the front desk give you an actual key to drive in and out of the garage. Spacious king room. Huge TV and I love the light up large mirror in the restroom and makeup mirror. Overall the staff was excellent, room clean and it was super easy to communicate via the messaging in the Hilton app.

Yelp
Nice location. Close to stadium. Also has a pretty good gym and pool. There is a restaurant on the premesis and a Starbucks downstairs. Room was clean and large enough. I would stay again

Yelp
A Beautiful Fashion Show by the Forty Plus Models. Beautiful designs and styles. Wonderful food. I really did enjoy myself. I saw a guy that used to model for Dr. Freeman's church when he had a brunch. Everyone looked amazing. Ten stars.

Yelp
I love here. Houston Hilton is located between Toyota center and Discovery green. I love the atmoshere. The inside is very clean. People are very professional. I love the Holiday decor!

Yelp
They get the five stars for the gentlemen that checked us in. They were funny but yet very informative. I hate I forgot their names. If you are attending anything at the Toyota Center...this is the best hotel to stay in because of its proximity. As others mentioned you can self park or valet. Then you can use the skywalk to get to the hotel. I added a photo for rates of the garage. Hotel lobby is beautiful. There's a bar and restaurants inside. There is also a Starbucks inside as well. Hotel room had the musty smell but looked and felt clean. So we didn't complain or switch rooms. Hotel was perfect for what we needed. Will definitely stay again just to be in walking distant of the Toyota Center.

Yelp
My family & I called the hotel at 7 am after losing power from the storm. Claudia was the sweetest human, got us a reservation over the phone & allowed us an 8:30 AM check in due to our local house not having electricity. My mom was visiting so my toddler, husband, mom & I needed a 2 bedroom suite. She got us into the deluxe 1 bedroom with an extra room attached, it's a great set up! The indoor pool has been lovely for this rainy weather as a way to entertain our 2 year old. Everything is clean, the valet is fast (less than 10 min) & every employee we've met has been a delight. Thank you Hilton Americas for your superb hospitality during a difficult weekend in Houston. There is a pappasitos connected & a pappadeaux across the street. The hotel breakfast buffet was great, omelet station and all. It's also a short walk from discovery green & it's playground as another way to entertain the little kids in the middle of downtown Houston

Yelp
Today was fabulous! I am attending a luncheon for my job at the Hilton America. The location of hotel and customer service is wonderful. I will return.

Yelp
I love this hotel! It's in a great central location downtown and is in walkable distance to many of the must-visit places in Houston such as: Discovery Green, Minute Maid Park, Convention Center, and a host of cool restaurants. We stayed here two nights for my bday weekend (the same weekend of Beyoncé's concert) and my family and I had a great experience! The valet staff is top tier and the staff was kind, professional and accommodating; our room was nice and comfortable with an excellent view. The restaurant on the property, 1600 Bar + Grille, was a good/convenient breakfast option for the family with menu and buffet options, and the Pappasito's inside was a fun place to end the night for dinner. Overall, it's a beautiful hotel with a wonderful staff, in an awesome location. We'll be back!

Yelp
This is a great hotel in a really good location, especially if you are attending an event at the Toyota Center. The hotel was clean, not to mention HUGE! This place felt like a massive spot, and I can't imagine it at full capacity! Our room was comfortable. It had a mini fridge rather than a minibar, so we could store leftovers. I also liked how you could choose your room and check in and out without ever having to go to the front desk by using the Hilton app. I am sure other properties do this, but it was my first experience with it. There is a great Tex-Mex restaurant and a Starbucks in the hotel, as well as a hotel restaurant, which we did not try. The lobby bar is really beautiful, and I regret not grabbing a drink there. There is also a rooftop bar and other amenities that we didn't even get to see during our short stay. The self parking is a bit of a trek, but there is a skybridge from the garage into the hotel - and it is cheaper than valet! All in all, I would definitely stay here again if I needed to be in downtown Houston for something, especially if it was an event at the Toyota Center!

Yelp
This has got to be one of the best hiltons I have stayed at. I have stayed at Hilton's all over the world. The staff was very friendly and helpful upon check in. The hotel is very clean, everywhere you go. The gym is expansive! Weight machines, ample working and clean cardio machines with TV screens that work! Ample towels and they have chilled damp towels perfect for post work out. The only problem was that, there were no wipe's available. The containers were empty. My room was spacious and comfortable! The black out curtains were actually blacking out all the light. It was very dark in the room. The shower was awesome. Almost spa-like. The shower head was forceful. There are certain things I look for in a hotel room, clean, comfortable, nice shower, good TV. Pillows are always not my preference. So I bring my own. Lastly, I was missing a bar of soap for the bathroom sink. Annoying since I am only here one night, not worth calling down to front desk. I just used the body wash in the shower to wash my hands There is a chocolate Christmas display made entirely (or mostly) out of chocolate. The lounge on the 26 floor is open to members with status. Very comfortable and offers breakfast here. I am very impressed with this hotel and will come back next time.

Yelp
In love with this hotel. My first time. Fast check in. Pleasant workers, everything is clean, the rooms are big, the hotel is huge. I loved the pool area, nobody there only my friend and I.

Yelp
I always enjoy my stay at this property. The staff is awesome and the stay and quality of service feels pre-pandemic. . I stay in many hotels and it is sad that some places are still trying to catch up when dealing with customer service and support. This hotel is doing great and I'm always happy to stay here during my business in Houston. Thanks to everyone there for all your efforts.

Yelp
Stayed here for a 2-day conference happening on site and had a good experience. My room was clean and the beds were comfortable. I have to remark on how much I enjoyed the shower, it had amazing water pressure! I got a chance to visit the gym and was impressed by the variety of cardio and weight equipment available to guests, it rivaled the breadth you'd find in a commercial gym. Main downer for me was no in-room food service options, which I assume is a holdover from Covid. I noticed even the vending machine down the hallway only had drinks, no snacks. Overall, great hotel for my purposes which was proximity to conference and gym.

Yelp
Beautiful Lobby. Their bar has good food and delicious drinks. Location is wonderful as you are right in the heart of Downtown and have immediate access to Discovery Green, multiple fabulous restaurants and even the Ball Park! Our room wasn't what you would expect for A Hilton. Stayed in Floor 6 and had easy access to the elevator but our room was muggy . It was clean but old. There's an indoor pool but nothing special to it. Even tho the hotel was super busy due to a conference Service at the bar and restaurant was PHENOMENAL and room service was super fast!

Casey Y.

Yelp
You'd expect an amazing layout and a cool restaurant and everything you need at a nice hoteland it was there but the valet is terrible. I had so many issues getting cars in and out. The valets who drove cars all cool, but there was always an issue at the window. They either took forever to charge my room because they couldn't figure out what was going on, and at one point, they held a clients car hostage for over 20 minutes, and it was so difficult at the window. She had a tesla which only works with her phone to open and drive car so they had her park in the valet lane behind a rope and we were trying to pay but couldn't because she wouldn't accept it because she wanted a photo ID of my client who didn't have one on her only a photo. Then they was confused we didn't have a key. I was like well this is her car it can only start with her phone. Can we please pay you and she said no. I was like, okay, we will just drive off then I'm trying to pay you, and the valet was like no you can't, so that I'll talk to her." So he went and gave her the ticket and the valet said look it's her car we know its her car charge her and she said ok ok and the valet left and I said put it on my room or here take a visa and she was just starting at us. Mind you, this is making the whole vibe of business start to fall apart and stressing everything. I stay at nice hotels so I can offer clients parking options that are simple. I said okay so it's all good now ?" The Valet said it's our car. The key is the phone. You have a ticket. She said I still needed an ID still and was doubling down and making it difficult, so I went inside to get the manager who never came. I think they ended up like charging us for my oversized vehicle instead of her car, but it was a bunch of unprofessional amateur drama and had me stuck for over 20 minutes. On another note, Kamal, I think his name was at the self parking across the street. It was amazing where I had my oversized vehicle. It wasn't a trailer, just a van, but he said no worries. He called and asked me if I knew I was being charged over 100 a day and I was like I did not know and I thought it was a different rate so he really helped me figure it all out super professionally.

Yelp
This hotel has a gorgeous lobby area brightly lite with beautifully displayed floral bouquets. Nightly turn down and gracious staff service. Lots of restaurants within walking distance.

Yelp
This hotel surrounds all the Houston sports stadiums which is pretty cool. Perfect to stay if you are in town to watch a game. The hotel is massive with a huge convention center attached. Great location if you are in town for any game. Solid stay.

Yelp
I've stayed here twice in two years, both during September to attend some conferences. This hotel is fine. The rooms are clean. Beds are comfortable. The location is super convenient to the GRB Convention Center and Toyota Center, but there are some general issues that make this hotel not 4 or 5 stars. The homeless. Yes, this hotel is in downtown Houston and there are homeless around, but the hotel could at least try to not let them into the hotel and bother people at the hotel bar or just general people sitting around in the lobby? It's like no one cared. There are a ton of people working and standing out front for the valet and opening doors for patrons, but I guess they don't do anything to stop the homeless from coming in. I was at the hotel bar several nights during my stay and each night there was homeless coming in to bother us. The noise. My hotel room faced the park. Perhaps try to choose a room that is not facing the park?? And bring earplugs. Friday - Sunday night, there are a ton of low rider trucks and other extremely loud cars doing loops around the park and hotel blasting music. This happens throughout the night well into 3-4 AM. But even without the loud trucks during the weekend, during the weekdays, there is construction that happens in the middle of the night 1 AM where you just hear people drilling through concrete, and beeping noises. (Construction current as of Sept 2023). Aside from those fundamental problems, the hotel is fine. The fitness center is larger than most hotels, but lacks a squat rack. The indoor pool is 25 yards and has 2-3 lanes with a depth gradation going from 3 - 4.5 feet. Staff is friendly. It has a skybridge to the GRB convention center which is nice. And if the hotel is hosting the conference, the general conference area/meeting rooms also allows for a more intimate conference setting which is nice. Starbucks in the lobby of the hotel is slow, but convenient. The hotel rooms aren't new by any means -- my room chair wouldn't sit straight, cheap blow dryer where your hair gets caught inside--things like that. But everything functions fine for a business stay.

Yelp
Our stay met our expectations! We stayed in the executive level. Our room was roomy and house keeping came daily. We had a great experience in the lobby bar. The executive lounge was awesome with spectacular views and service! The daily breakfast was delicious! I had a facial at the spa and it was so relaxing! I recommend the Hilton Americas- Houston!

Mari D.

Yelp
Spacious room. Comfortable bed. Great linens. Clean room, clean lobby, clean... everything, housekeeping does a great job. Free water bottles to stay hydrated. Friendly staff from the Front Desk to Housekeeping - everyone I encountered. I like hotels that have the safe floors that not everyone can get to the floors without a key. Safety is always a concern when traveling alone and I felt safe at Hilton Americas. If traveling in this area in the future, Hilton is one of my faves.

Yelp
I recently stayed at Hilton Americas-Houston because I was attending a conference there. Overall, I enjoyed my experience at this hotel. I booked my room pretty early, but it was nice because they held a block of rooms for this event and gave us a discounted rate. I loved staying at the same place as the conference because I didn't have to pay for transportation every day and I could go back to my room whenever I needed a break. I think most hotels do this now, but I loved the features from the Hilton phone app! You can "check in" up to two days in advance. They let you pick your exact room and they show you a floor plan, room details, etc. Also, you can use your phone as a digital key, so you don't need to stop by the registration desk at all. Check out was also a breeze since you just click a button in the app. My hotel room was spacious and clean. It had a large screen tv, a little desk, a coffee machine, a mini refrigerator, and a little safe. I never saw any other guests on my floor and it was super quiet! The conference facilities were also good. I liked how everything was laid out and the hotel staff were very attentive. However, I didn't think there were a lot of things to do within walking distance of the hotel, so you might want to rent a car or take an Uber to expand your options.

Yelp
Extremely nice hotel. The pool and views from the pool will make your stay well worth it. I absolutely love this hotel and everything about it. I especially love the restaurant attached to it as well. Overall great hotel and like I said early the pool is worth every penny of your stay.

Yelp
To be in 2024 and still have racism still amazes me. I brought my aunt here Friday, Good Friday for a relaxing spa day and was met by Diego who was extremely racist towards me. I asked to check in for the spa that I purchased through Resort pass and right in front of me he picked up the phone and called someone saying he didnt.want us to have access to the hotel. They concluded we would be escorted up to the 23 floor by security. Once we arrived to the top no one was there and security told us to wait someone would help. A short time later a really nice young lady Bri appeared and started to check us in. She asked we would use our key cards to access to pool and roof. I advised he had no key card and was escorted by security which i.thoufht was weird and she said this has not.been there policy. She was unsure why they didn't provide a card and for this to happen by the manager Diego was even stranger. I looked at Britney and said it.is only because of the color of our skin. I plan to investigate this further with legal counsel but anyhow just don't go here. My expirence in the spa was limited as it was full of kids and we had to climb the stairs eventhough we have mobility issues and was denied the elevator.

Yelp
Had a perfect stay at this Hilton. Check in was smooth, the staff is friendly. The lobby is beautiful. They offer you breakfast coupon either to use in the restaurant or use at Starbucks onsite (much better deal in my opinion since you can get any drink with a sandwich or yogurt or oatmeal). The room was updated, modern and the bathroom was beautiful, it had a huge tv in the room too. Bed was comfortable and the pillows was perfect! So clean! Only thing is that the shower took a while to warm up. The gym was nice, had a lot of equipment, I assume they don't clean it very often since there was towels everywhere. Valet is fast but pretty pricy.
google avatar

Ariel B.

Yelp
I had the worst experience at this hotel. I was here for major conference and was being charged for 'valet' when I did not even drive here. I was told that someone else put a valet under my room and if they didnt come pay for it I would have to. I was in a room by myself and rode in a school vehicle. I even spoke to a ''manager'' who was also incredibly rude! This seemed like a hotel that is trying to scam you out of money so I would definitely watch your cards. Will never stay here again!!

Yelp
Stayed at this hotel for a conference in November. Beautiful facility, room is magnificent and executive lounge was great. However, service in this industry is everything! Beware of hidden charges because that's where they get you. Yes, I arrived earl, had Starbucks, waited in the lobby a bit before eventually going to the counter to ask if they had any rooms available yet where I could just do an early check-in. Receptionist said "we sure do. thanks for being a Gold Member", checked me in and gave me my key. On day of check-out I asked if late check-out was an option because my flight was leaving later. I was told any later than 12-Noon would be a $25 charge, I advised Noon was perfect. Checked out and things were great until I later saw my credit card charges. I've been charged $20 per night for a room upgrade I never requested. They insist I checked in through the app and used a room upgrade option and selected the room, which I did not. I have asked numerous times for them to send me verification of how it was done and nothing. I asked for a manager, they said one would call me back and still nothing. I'm done, I'm over it, they got my employer for $80. So just beware.

Yelp
In my quest to visit every Major League Baseball park, I made my way to Houston. This was my first time staying at this hotel. Parking: you can either valet at $45 per night or self park at $30 per night. I couldn't find the self parking area, so I ended up in the valet line. Staff was great at helping me find self parking. It's actually just a public parking garage. Make sure you bring your ticket with you to the front lobby. Check-in: from the parking garage, there is a sky bridge that connects to the hotel on the second floor. The was both a Rockets basketball game and an Astros baseball game going on the night I checked in. I don't know if that's why the lobby was so busy, but I was surprised how many people were waiting to check in. Fortunately they have a separate line for Honors Members so I was able to get checked in immediately. The guy checking me in asked if I self parked, took my ticket, and explained that I can use my room key to go in and out of parking. I got a little bag with some snacks. If you are gold or diamond honors, you also get a voucher for each day for a beverage of choice and either a breakfast sandwich or pastry at the Starbucks in the lobby area. Room: no issues with the room. Large bathroom with one of those mirrors with a light that you can set to different brightness. The tv was huge. I'm guessing at least 70 inches. Being on the 19th floor, I was worried about the shower water pressure, but was very strong. The only drawback was that I couldn't get the room as cool as I like. It got to just under 70 degrees. For some that's probably ok, but I really prefer cooler. No microwave in room, but they will bring you one upon request. Restaurant: instead of using one of the vouchers for Starbucks, I tried the buffet. This, to me, was pretty lacking. If there were any danishes, I couldn't find them. They do have an omelette station, and I thought that was the best part. They also had disposable gloves at the buffet for everyone to wear when getting food and from what I saw, everyone used them. Location: if you are here for a sporting event (like I was) the location is PERFECT. The basketball arena is literally right across the street. The baseball stadium is only a ten minute walk. Well worth it to avoid game parking. There are a few restaurants in the area within walking district, including the wonderful Rustic, where the best pork chop is served. Didn't visit the pool or gym.

Yelp
Was here for a 2-day conference, but did not stay in the hotel rooms; only utilized their ballrooms and experienced the level of service from their staff. The hotel itself is quite nice, would be a great place to celebrate any large event. Their staff is very professional and strives to offer you an elevated experience on-par with the Hilton Americas brand and level of service. Great location downtown near the GRB conference center, Discovery Green park, and sports stadiums.

Yelp
I stayed at Hilton for new years and it was a chaotic experience. The service was horrible to say the least. It's definitely my worst experience staying at a Hilton. I had to call over 8 times for room service to deliver soda's to the room since the floor vending machines were not working. The elevators were also acting up and the digital room key card was not working. Overall, I wouldn't recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a 4 star hotel. I would say this is maybe a 3 star hotel.

Yelp
Exactly what I expected from a large Hilton Hotel in a downtown location. The hotel is beautiful with great service and plenty of amenities. I loved the great temperature control as the hotel was perfectly cool during my summer visit and very helpful staff which was very responsive to requests. A hotel Starbucks also provides a convenient way to get a nice caffeine boost during the day. The hotel room is nice and clean with good looking furniture. The bed is comfortable and pillows had the right amount of firmness. I liked the products provided in the bathroom and the nice use of dark wood, decorative tiles, and beautiful countertop. Overall, nice hotel to stay in if you're going to a conference in downtown Houston.

Yelp
I celebrated my birthday in Houston and stayed at the Hilton Americas. I loved the hotel it was such a wonderful experience. The hospitality was at an all time high. It really met my expectations. I would like to thank Semaj and Judah at the front desk . Those two are the best. Great customer service and making my guest and myself feel so welcoming. I really appreciate them and also Thank u Hilton. I will be returning. The hotel location was perfect as well. It was located about 7-10 min away from all the restaurants and lounges I was visiting.

Yelp
Dates of stay - 10/8 - 10/12/2021 So disappointed... I stayed here for a wedding. First, our flight arrives late.. we arrived close to midnight ..so much confusion upon check-in. I believe the rep was new, so I was trying to be patient. Also, no bell man service.... Then my keys didn't work.. no sorry or remorse .. customer service was crap ..better service from a vending machine! Rooms were outdated, bathrooms were renovated which was good. Valet was efficient. And room service personnel were kind. Although, if you call in dining and they are on the phone, a recording will come on stating that in- dining room service was closed. I called guest services and they said it was open but this happens when they are on the phone. Umm okay ... so fix it ugh It gets worse .. noisy construction in the am ! Like really really bad. Every morning even on the weekend and Monday holiday. Most hotels would apologize or give some type of warning... nope not here. The worst part: I upgraded one of my rooms to a 2 bedroom suite. I was under the impression that a 2 bedroom suite was two bedrooms and a parlor.. that was not the case. I ended up paying another rate for the second bedroom. I also had another room reservation for my elderly parents and they charged me the wrong rate... not the much less wedding rate I booked it at. Then the check out dates were screwed up, I called once and they said they fixed it. I didn't feel convinced so I called the next day.. of course they had it wrong. I called accounting when I knew the billing would be wrong .. terrible customer service. I asked about the 2 bedroom suite, does the parlor count as a bedroom, she said she wouldn't know.. ugh I don't get it.. I also asked about the discrepancy in the rate for the standard room.. she said she would adjust, let's see if they do what they said they were going to do. So much for Hilton customer service .. .. such an embarrassment to my guests. I will never ever stay here again!

Yelp
I'm really disappointed. My friend and I are staying here for the Jonas Brothers concert. We picked this hotel as it is right next to Toyota Center and very safe. We have paid for valet parking all weekend as an added safety precaution, as we are two college aged women. Since being here, we have been charged twice for tax. Over $100 each time. When we called the front desk, they claimed this was a mistake and that they would remove the charge. Today, valet parking told us we owed $134 when we have already paid for valet. The valet office worker was less than pleasant when trying to sort out this issue. She told us "I don't know. The front desk specifically told us to charge you." When we called the front desk, they said "You'll have to talk to valet as they are a separate entity from us." Come to find out, they were not supposed to charge us this money. Our concert is today and instead of having fun preparing, we have had to deal with this hotel's bad practices. It feels as though the hotel was preying on two young girls who were traveling alone and hoped that we would not notice the charges. The hotel itself is nice and the rooms are comfy, but I will absolutely not be staying here again. I was pretty shocked at the sleazy tactics used by this hotel. Would not recommend, especially for girls traveling alone!!

Yelp
Staying at Hilton America downtown. Was awaken by loud bar music at 1:30 yesterday morning from somewhere downtown outside hotel. Spoke with hotel staff this morning in elevator. Every guest was complaining . 11.30 Friday night same load music. Called guest services and was told they could not do anything. Friday night in Houston (basically deal with it). For the rates they are charging I recommend never staying at the hotel .I'm pretty sure that Hilton generates more sales tax revenue for Houston than some bar catering to low life's.

Yelp
Very nice hotel. I stayed 2 nights on a work trip last week. The lobby is really pretty. A welcoming atmosphere. Staff were very nice. My room was very clean. Super convenient location - right in the middle of downtown. Lots of bars and restaurants very close by. Just a great location.

Yelp
My little family & I did a staycation here and it was amazing. Check in was fast & easy, complimentary parking, and great food options in the hotel itself. The downstairs breakfast buffet in the morning was the best part for us. Extremely kid friendly as well! There is a heated indoor pool and an amazing kid park walking distance. Definitely will be returning here!

Yelp
As a Hilton Diamond member everything about my experience at this hotel was off-putting. We actually live in the city, but a large organization paid to put us in this hotel as one of their honorary speakers for their conference in the city to make it easy on us. My experience started with me arriving and then being told that they overbooked and that there were no rooms available. After they learned of my diamond status then their tone changed, but only a little. It took close to thirty minutes to assign me a room and we were told it was a double (as booked) to accommodate three of us. We get to our room and we are shocked to walk into a room with a tiny *ss queen bed. I immediately called down to let them know of this issue. Their response was that there were no more rooms available and that they would try to fix it tomorrow as we are staying two nights. Instead I would have to sleep on an "oh so comfy" roll away bed that I had to wait to get rolled up to our room. What's the point of going out of your way to patronize a brand hotel to get their highest status if you are still going to be treated like straight trash. We travel a lot...too much for business. The more negative experiences I have with Hilton the less likely I am to ever book a hotel with them. Why? American Express Fine Hotels and Resorts WOULD NEVER. Absolutely horrible and unforgivable.

Yelp
We stayed here for the Elton John concert. It was perfect for attending a show at the Toyota Center. You just walk out the door and across the street. When the concert is over, you are sitting in your room by the time everyone else is just getting to their car. The hotel is very clean. The front desk handled well even though they were hit with thousands checking in over a short time frame. The staff had 6 different people checking people in and oved huge lines in a hurry. Just an odd ball mention but the tv in the room was probably the biggest we have had. It was super nice to watch a football game on a large screen monitor in the room. Room service food is simple but good. There is a multiple places to eat and get Starbucks on site. We would book this hotel again for our next event at the Toyota center.

Yelp
Check in at the Hilton was quick and easy. Our room was clean and ready for relaxation. I had a pretty hard week and we used our Hilton Honors points toward a one night staycation. First time here and I will definitely be back when we need another getaway. Close proximity to everything you need

Yelp
Clean, great service, a super elegant hotel for the price! Hotel room keys didn't work super well and we had elevator issues. The proximity to the Toyota center can't be beat.

Yelp
I came to Houston for a quick business trip and I only had about 24 hours but this hotel was absolutely amazing. The holiday decor was great and the staff was super friendly and helpful. The onsite starbucks was on point and I even took advantage of the on-site spa. It was a bit pricey but trust me.. it was well worth it. If I could give this place 6 stars I would but I thoroughly enjoyed my stay and if I'm ever in Houston again, I will be checking out this place again.

Yelp
My daughter wanted to celebrate her 5th birthday "at a hotel with room service." (Same, honey, same...haha). Hilton Americas gave her the BEST BIRTHDAY EVER (her words, not mine.). I appreciated the contactless check in/out, the ease of communicating with staff through the Hilton app. Anything we needed, staff was there in a moment. We live in town, but my little girl had a blast living her best life with drinks by the heated pool, late night room service (burger extra pickles) and she loved the view of the city day and night. Thank you for making wonderful memories for our family.

Yelp
Stayed here for 3 nights last week. Flew in from Virginia and after those few torturous few days at a AirBnb (due to one incompetent person who only booked our party for one night during the NG-11 mission launch at Wallops Island), all I needed was a great hotel with a super comfortable bed to catch up on my beauty sleep. Would anyone care to know three of us females have to share bathrooms with six males? It was grosser than gross :O A couple of the males actually made the bathroom smell so bad. Checked in was a breeze due to Hilton Honors status. Booked first night through points and the rest on credit card. Somehow the Hilton online used the points not on first night but used them as points and cash throughout the stay. What got me riled up was essentially the hotel was charging like over $300+ per night. That finally got resolved after a long conversation with Hilton Honors. The hotel has a wonderful lobby but... AMBIENCE 3/5 There was a bar, restaurant and a Starbucks Reserve. Yasss!! A Starbucks located on the first floor of the hotel!!! The first day I checked into the hotel, I been wondering what was that doggone smell lingering throughout the lobby. It was revolting! I finally found out what was that stench on my 2nd day. It was Pappasito's. Somehow whatever lingering from the restaurant (located next to the elevators) combining with whatever on the first floor lobby made the whole place smelled like rancid oil or stinky feet. Ugh!!! To Hilton Americas-Houston: please 1) do not let Pappasito propped opened that door to the restaurant 24/7 (that door located between the elevators). There is no reason why the door linking the hotel lobby to the restaurant needs to be propped open all the time! 2) freshen your hotel lobby frequently. (Hint: Air freshener) ROOMS 4/5 Not the prettiest room I ever stayed in but it was good. The bed was a tad on the firm side (no pillowtop) but I slept very well. My only complain? No slippers :( *sob!!!*) and housekeeping did not replenish shampoo and conditioner. I did not get how that thermostat worked too. The hotel offered Crabtree & Evelyn toiletries which was really nice. I had a beautiful view overlooking the Discovery Green Park. Sweet!! :) SERVICE 5/5 Service at the front desk, door and executive lounge was great. I have no major complaints. The only thing I hope to have some improvement is staff manning the desk outside the R24 Executive Lounge would make sure the lounge is only utilized by guests staying in executive rooms or they are given access due to their hotel status. I will not hesitate to stay here again if I come here again next year. The hotel is located next to George R. Brown and accessible by the covered skywalks. Lots of great restaurants within walking distance too.

Yelp
Great hotel in a great location! Great hotel with so many amenities to include coffee shop, restaurant, bar, etc. The hotel is connected to the convention center and parking garage making for an easy in and out. Great rooms, great lobby and friendly staff. Easy check in and check out makes it a great place to stay downtown whether for a game, convention or other activities.

Gorgeous hotel, safe area, clean rooms, comfy beds, AMAZING rooftop pool, excellent service. So much to see and do in this area. Great selection of cool places to eat, lots to see and do. Would recommend to anyone and everyone. Can't wait to go back! Bring your camera because this is THE place for endless photo ops.
