Want to write a brief review of my stay at the Hilton Hotel in Austin Texas. My wife and I stayed at the hotel on Friday July 18th and Saturday July 19th and we left on Sunday July 20th. Everything went well during our stay. Our room wad very nice, clean and the bed was also comfortable. The only recommendation that I would make is that the water pressure was a little soft or light. When leaving on Sunday I want to give a thank you to a guy named Luis assisted usvwith checking out. Luis delivered exceptional service when he assisted us. On Saturday morning I ate at the Austin Taco Project on Saturday and my bill amount was not accurate as it appeared as if extra gratuity was added so my final bill was over the amount that I had agreed to pay. Luis told me that he would take care of it and that I shouldn't worry about anything. He didn't question me and made me feel like he really cared about me and my concern. It's employees like this that make customers want to stay at your hotel in the future. While staying at the hotel all of the hotel employees that I came across were very friendly. I will be staying at this hotel again in the future.. ||Thank you,|One happy customer!!

Awesome hotel. Great location. The pool area is amazing 😍. For my birthday they gave me a gift bag filled with goodies and a handwritten birthday note. A very nice and classy personal touch. Gigi at the front desk is very sweet and everyone else was very nice and helpful as well. Highly recommend this hotel. Drew the pool bartender was great 😃. He makes delicious cocktails.

Hilton = Hospitality Goals!||From the moment I arrived, Hilton delivered! Customer service here isn’t just part of the job—it’s clearly part of the culture.||Shoutout to Maurillo, the bellhop who went above and beyond—literally followed me down to the parking garage to help with my luggage. He was warm, conversational, and genuinely proud of his work. The 14-floor elevator ride flew by thanks to his great energy!||I was in town for a conference, and despite the crowds, not a single staff member seemed stressed or overwhelmed. From the super-smooth check-in to the helpful wayfinders stationed around the hotel, it was seamless from start to finish.||I also brought my dog (who is a very good boy), and the staff welcomed him like a VIP. They opened doors for our walks and even brought him a water bowl at the restaurant downstairs. Above and beyond!||The pool? Great. The views? Gorgeous.|Only downside: the surprise parking fees—definitely something I wish was more upfront in the booking process.||Otherwise, Hilton nailed it. Five stars for service, smiles, and good vibes all around. 🐾🌟

A full service hotel. Staff were friendly and helpful. Zach at front desk was especially helpful as I planned my check- out day around a late-departure flight. I enjoyed the fitness center, rooftop pool and sauna. Cannon+Belle - Shy, my bartender throughout my stay, was amazing. She makes true connections with her guests.

Our room had brown duct tape holding the carpet down where it meets the tile, outlets didn't work in bathroom, constantly waiting for elevators. Both restaurants were not good. Pool/Bar was the best part of this hotel. It is not family friendly. The worst part though is being charged for 3 nights of valet and trying to get my money back. I DO NOT recommend.

Pamela and Emiliolio (SP?), were great and really helped me out. Service was prompt, rooms were clean and the atmosphere was great. Would not hesitate to stay here again. Thank you for a comfortable and accommodating stay!

I had an incredible stay at the Hilton in downtown Austin. From the moment I arrived, the service was top-notch— especially Gigi at the front desk. She was warm, welcoming, and went above and beyond to make sure I felt taken care of. Her positive energy set the tone for the rest of my stay. The room was spotless and beautifully maintained. You can tell the housekeeping staff takes great pride in their work—it felt fresh, clean, and comfortable. And the view from my room? Absolutely stunning! I had a clear look at the city skyline, and watching the sunset from my window was a highlight of the trip. Location-wise, it doesn’t get better. I was within walking distance of amazing restaurants, live music spots, and the best of what Austin has to offer. Highly recommend staying here—shoutout again to Gigi for making it such a smooth and memorable experience!

Google
I don’t usually leave badreviews, but this experience was unacceptable. During my stay, I was literally locked in the bathroom of my hotel room. The door jammed and wouldn’t open no matter what I tried. I was stuck inside for what felt like an eternity, yelling for help with no response until my wife got back in the room. It was scary, humiliating, and entirely preventable with basic maintenance. When I was finally freed (after the maintenance people pounded on the door), the staff offered only a half-hearted apology and no real compensation for the ordeal. I was left shaken and furious. A hotel that can't ensure the basic safety of its guests should not be in business. I am not here for the money either so please don't reach out just trying to make others aware. If you value your personal safety and peace of mind, look elsewhere.

Yelp
Came here for a conference. It was a lovely time here and was met with very sweet staff who were serving coffee and cleaning and other back of house positions. Front of house staff were a bit cold. A few of my colleagues stayed here and they said it was an okay experience mostly because there was a ton of people here because it's in a centralized spot / conference and it made it louder than they would like. It was pretty simple to navigate this place. Most of the escalators are on one side of the building. There is a skyway on the 6th floor if you need to get to the convention center which is clutch because it can get hot outside.

Yelp
I had a work related event to attend which is how this hotel came on my radar. Expensive! Bathrooms are still tub shower combo with draw shower curtains. Ick! Bathroom lighting and paint gives Norman Bates/motel vibes If you are sensitive to noise like I am DO NOT book here. I had a room on the 23rd floor. The building has 26 floors. You would think it would be free of noise. Nope all thanks to Club 420 ATX right. Next. Door. And because of the law that protects them, they are ALLOWED to play music until 2AM. Yep wall shaking, bass vibrating music. Even with headphones, white noise, and a standing floor fan the concierge brought it was still disturbing. Housekeeping is nice. Aside from a couple of stained towels I didn't have any issues with my room's cleanliness. This is why I always bring my own towels. Parking is a nightmare. I have no idea where self parking is. I valet'd which was $54/night vs $48/night for self parking. Be mindful valet does get backed up when they are fully booked or during high/rush hours.

Yelp
Nice hotel with a nice gym (peloton) in the heart of downtown Austin. Whenever I come I always stay here since it's so centrally located. Food in the hotel and around the hotel is good too.
google avatar

Yelp
If you have to leave early for work related issues they still charge you. I had a three day reservation and had to leave after two. They still charge for three days!! You can't leave early. I guess the think they are the Hotel California. Do NOT stay at this ripoff. There are plenty of other nice hotels in Austin.

Yelp
As a Hilton loyalist and frequent guest, the Hilton Austin is one of the worst hotels I've stayed in. It's not the room or the amenities that was the problem, it's the location and its proximity to the local bars and nightclubs. The noise is SO BAD that it was impossible to get a good night's sleep. I stayed here 6 nights during the SXSW festival, so the rates were crazy expensive. As a HHonors Diamond member, I was upgraded to the Executive Floor, which was nice. The hotel has a small lounge that offers a complimentary continental breakfast and afternoon snacks daily. You could enter the lounge during regular hours to grab a bottle of water or soda, free. A nice perk if you book the Executive Floor. My stay started off on the wrong foot. It took forever to check in, but not because there was a long line at the front desk (there was not). The employee doing our check-in was acting like a salesperson, trying to get us to pay more to upgrade to a suite. I repeatedly had to tell her "no," but she was persistent about what a "great deal" it was, blah blah blah. FINALLY she gave up, but it was a major annoyance. You need a room key to get to your floor, so make sure you swipe it in the elevator. And don't even think of trying to sneak into the Executive Lounge without a proper key (and there's an employee to make sure you are eligible for access). The elevators are slow and crowded, so don't waste time if one is open. There's a Starbucks and a small bar in the lobby, as well as a Mexican restaurant on premises. My husband ate at the restaurant and said it was pretty mediocre, and we had overpriced drinks at the equally mediocre lobby bar twice during our stay. Local bands played live music in the lobby too, which was fun. The hotel is within walking distance of most of downtown Austin and is steps from the Austin Convention Center, and its location is a huge positive but also a major negative. Parking is expensive, and the hotel is right across the street from bars and clubs that feature LOUD live music until the wee hours. We noticed the noise stopped around 2 am, but it was literally 7 days a week. We were on the 25th floor but still couldn't sleep because it was SO LOUD. I cannot imagine how loud the sound was be from the lower floors. Our room was comfortable and appeared to be recently renovated. We had a great view of downtown Austin and plenty of room. The in-room refrigerator was a nice touch, and everything felt clean and modern. I didn't like that we had to request housekeeping service, which is an additional pain when you need extra towels, etc. The a/c unit was terrific and kept the room ice cold. I can imagine how important this would be during the hot, humid Texas summers. I didn't hate this hotel, but I would not stay here again because of the noise. It made my stay absolutely miserable. If you must book here, BRING EARPLUGS!

Yelp
Pretty horrible...I'm a Hilton Honors member and reserved a specific room days before I arrived. When I arrived that room was NOT available and was unable to even check in. The front desk person told me that I'd get a call when the room was ready. I never received a call and had to leave my bags with the bellman. Had to wait until evening to check in. Also, the shower had a very sloooow drain, so had to use it quickly or it would overflow! When I checked out, I let a guy at the front desk know about it, but he didn't apologize or seem to really give a damn. Very strange that you have to make a special request to get your room cleaned. I wasn't told this when I checked in and the only clue was a sign stuck on the bathroom mirror? This felt like I was staying at an Econolodge or Red Roof Inn..unbelievable! Another highlight was a screaming child who almost tripped the fire alarm on the floor I was on late at night before his parents stopped him...Good times!! The room itself was fine though - clean and comfortable bed. But I'll never stay here again (unless it's for another business trip and I don't have a say in the matter). **Just added to my dreaded "Establishments To Avoid" List on Yelp!**

Yelp
Really nice! We were at the Sheraton but their pool was out of service, construction/renovations of rooms, etc. We were able to use the pool at the Hilton which was really nice. Standard rectangular size with plenty of lounge chairs. The bar was closed but we could scan a QR code to order from the Hotel restaurant downstairs Tacos & beer. A server brought up the food and drinks. Salt water pool and the temperature was great! Nice and refreshing. The bathrooms were fantastic! They had lockers, stalls, showers, sauna and steam rooms. Fully stocked shower. Blow dryer and body lotion.

Yelp
The bed was comfortable, the location was just okay as it's essentially connected to the convention center. So if you're not there for a convention then it's a whole lot of nothing there adjacent. The front desk manager was not well informed when asked for a very basic task, which was disappointing. Parking is highway robbery so plan to pay $55 per night or get creative elsewhere. The room was small-ish and they didn't recognize my elite status so that was lame.

Yelp
Updating my review, since Hilton Austin's staff messed up during my last morning. I should have read all the other reviews commenting about how rude and undertrained the staff is in this Hilton. One of the elevators on my floor was not working (the door would not open) I waited for an elevator for 10 minutes, the broken one would come up every time and the door would not open. I called the front desk and they simply said: "we know". When I asked for a sign on the door they said: can't do, but will see if maintenance can. The wipes container at the gym was empty, the employee at the gym told me I should call maintenance to have them replaced. Shouldn't that be one of the tasks the gym employee does? Bottom line for this updated review: if you come to Austin for a conference, want a comfortable and clean bed, but don't mind being treated like your business is not important to the Hotel's employees, then this Hilton is your place! If you are in Austin for a convention, this is definitely the hotel to stay at! The Hilton Austin Downtown has a sky bridle directly into the Convention Center. I stayed in a king size bed room, and it was very roomy, had a very nice couch by the window with a gorgeous view. There was also a great desk/table where I was able to get some work done comfortably. Coffee maker in the room with good coffee A lot of good restaurants at walking distance too.

Yelp
Great hotel. Such easy access to the convention center. The service was top notch, the rooms were nice and comfortable. They actually clean your room during your stay, which is less and less common now days. My only complaint is the water it's either extremely hot or cold, no in between. Not enough to change my mind about the hotel. The hotel is quiet and I got a great nights sleep every single night. It's great and comes highly recommended by me!

Yelp
Stayed at this hotel 2 previous times. It is in a good location. The decor is tired. See pic of the bathroom, a prime location for the growth of mold. Lobby and rooms are musty. Others also complained of this. Staff were generally nice but at checking they did not provide info about food credit. I had to clarify and obtain the credit at checkout. I wanted to like this hotel but was underwhelmed.

Yelp
Had a decent stay here but the hotel is lacking alot of traditional Hilton benefits. The location is great if you are looking to hit up local bars but it is not the best place for a work conference. Despite being on a higher floor there was still alot of street noise at night. Breakfast options were pretty limited to the Starbucks or taco resturant on site. The gym was great for a hotel gym and the rooftop pool was beautiful.

Yelp
Stayed here to attend a conference at the nearby Marriott but thought this would be nicer based on reviews and the fact that I'm Lifetime Hilton Diamond. I was wrong. Room is meh. View is crap. Most important, the A/C didn't work. Or I should stay, it struggled to work. This is Texas. The place where you need to bring a sweater when it's 100 degrees out because it's so over-air-conditioned. And mine doesn't work. I call to get it fixed. Go out, come back, and it's 1 degree cooler than it was. No message, no voicemail saying if they thought they could fix it. Just silence. Silence like when I pressed the room service button on the phone and no one answers. I double check the website to see in-room dining is still listed as an amenity (surprisingly). Look for a QR code on the TV for 10 minutes. Now I'm convinced they're just lazy, didn't update the website, didn't remove the button on the phone. Deceptive marketing. The bar was OK, service was bad, closes early at 11pm without a last call so be on your game. They've basically stripped every amenity out of this place from the room service to the housekeeping, I was frankly surprised to find the sole surviving amenity was the coffee pot, which of course didn't get restocked after day 1 so there was no coffee to be had on day 2. Hilton used to mean something as a brand. It doesn't anymore.

Yelp
Rather disappointing. I anticipated a 4 star hotel experience. Checked in only to have the lobby person give me the wrong room number (flipped the numbers around). This was obviously annoying to have to come back to get the mixup corrected. The other person made no apology, but simply said, "That's the second time she's done that today!" Great. It's late and I'm exhausted. The room is clean but sparse. Not even a in-room dining menu. No water or other amenities. Cheapskates. I press the room service button and order a salad. It comes in a bag (after a massive up charge for delivery and chicken added ($14)) plus and additional tip? (I really feel like I'm at a Motel 6 at this point). The salad is terrible. I presume they just forgot the sauce? Worst salad ever. Dry as a bone. It's not even worth calling to yell at them. Then I try to log onto Wi-Fi and it doesn't work. And yes, I am a Hilton Honors member, damn it. Other than a clean recently renovated room, this place has only demonstrated terrible service. SMDH. Please guys, get your act together. Did I mention the thumping of the music from clubs outside despite being on a relatively high level?

Yelp
I typically always stay at Hilton properties because of the points and being a diamond member you get a lot of perks. Once again Hilton delivers with another great property. The views are amazing and the rooms are very comfy. The room was absolutely comfortable and we really enjoyed the views. At night time the skyline was lit up. We were upgraded to a king suite which we really enjoyed. I will definitely book this hotel again when I'm in Austin for vacation or work. You are close to everything, plenty of restaurants are within walking distance from your hotel. I wish the pool stayed open a little bit later because we got back late from an event and we were not able to take it vantage of the pool. Extra touches that I really like are the fact that they have a Starbucks inside the Hilton which is great. The customer service is amazing. The valet guys are great. The Austin taco project restaurant is really good as well. Next time we stay though we definitely want to take advantage of the pool. The beds are super comfy, the AC blows cold, I am very happy with this property and will definitely be back soon. Great job Hilton. One side note. It was an anniversary trip and typically when I reach out to the managers they will do something extra nice for our trip but the manager here didn't even return my call. I had to call him back and he just really didn't wanna do anything for me. That's fine I'll just keep going to Hilton properties and just realized that the manager here doesn't really understand customer service

Yelp
Truly awful from the beginning to the end. The location is nice, and the Starbucks is nice but that's about it. The rooms are ok, the bed is not bad, but if you enjoy being kept up until 2am every night or later due to the raging, thumping, headache inducing music coming from god knows where - then you might enjoy this spot?? If the music doesn't keep you up then the drunk people in the hallways definitely will. This hotel is huge, and the amount of people packing into the elevators for the conferences that are in this hotel are also kind of scary. The housekeeping staff replaces the towels and soap daily, but they never replaced the coffee bar or shampoos/conditioners. I had to ask for both to be refilled. The water in the sink is SCALDING hot. You either get cold water or scalding hot. I actually still have burns on my hands from how hot the water is. To top it off, I asked if they had a robe and slippers because the towels are tiny. Nope. No robes. I find that very odd for a Hilton Hotel. You can't open the windows either. Also - the light switches are so bizarre. You have to push the buttons so hard for them to turn on - and the lamps on the nightstands are sooo far from the bed you can barely reach to turn them off. I will not be returning to this hotel ever. I got no sleep during my entire trip. If you go out for dinner and have to Lyft/uber back anytime after 6pm from Thursday through Sunday - good luck. There are drunk people walking through the streets everywhere. Streets blocked off completely and a whole slew of low riders blocking every entrance. Do not stay here if you value sleep and sanity. Definitely not for business travelers.

Yelp
Clean and well run hotel in an excellent location. Nice pool and workout facility. Great bar with attentive bartenders. Above all, I've always have had excellent customer service here. The Front Desk employees have exceeded expectations each time I've stayed here. This past time it was James and Jake that were great but I've never had a less than a stellar visit here.

Yelp
I'm not going to make this review long and sappy. By far top 5 best hotels I've ever stayed in my life! One might say, "but Mickey, where do you go? You really don't travel!" That is a valid argument ....but I don't consider myself a "low maintenance" kinda gal. I appreciate nice things. Don't we all? Located in the heart of downtown; walking distance to pretty much anything you can name. Staff is accommodating and try to get me the same room every time I'm there. I have no complaints! Do yourself a solid...make this spot your next stay while visiting the great state of Texas' capital! Doggie friendly too!
google avatar

Yelp
I was a bit underwhelmed with my stay. When you think of the Hilton brand there's a lot that goes with it. I guess the large capacity of this hotel doesn't allow for the rooms to be serviced daily. You have to request that the room be cleaned and that the garbage be taken out. I mean economically for the hotel, this makes a lot of sense: but when you're paying almost close to $400 daily, I believe this should be bare minimum. Honestly, it feels a bit like an Airbnb. I'm not sure what the difference is. The only differences is that we have someone checking us in at the front desk. I had two guests staying with me and I needed the bedding changed. It took four times in order for this to actually happen. No one answers the phone when you do call the front desk or housekeeping. I'm assuming there is a staffing issues given that we just came out of Covid. With so many options for hotels, what will distinguish one hotel from all the others is the service. Service needs to be top-tier - after all it is the Hilton! Updating my review from a three to a four star because representation matters. My experience still stands how I describe it above, but I did ask the front desk for a Band-Aid, and they were able to provide me with a Band-Aid. That was the same complexion as myself. With that small, act of service and inclusion I'm upgrading my review. Like I said representation, thoughtfulness, and more importantly customer experience matters.

Yelp
The hotel is clean and comfortable. Excellent water pressure. Staff is great. There isn't any kind of convenience store or place to get those little things you find you need on a trip. Room cleaning is by request. Two of the light switches in my room worked only 30% of the time. The restaurant was meh. I got a pesto chicken sandwich and I've never had so much mayo on a plate at once. Why was there even mayo on it? The chicken was definitely cut from a rotisserie bird and some of it was good but a majority of it had cartilage and gristle still attached.

Yelp
We were on 22nd floor and had to wear earplugs to try to sleep. Loud music every night we were there, Thursday thru Sunday until 2am. Only 1 or 2 elevators working so there was always a 5 to 10 minute wait in line for the elevators. We ordered a pizza from hotel restaurant that was so greasy we used every napkin we had to try a mop it up, and by then the pizza crust was soft and soggy. And we were charged $35 for one alcohol beverage. Ridiculous! We will never stay there again.

Yelp
My LV bag went missing out of my room . They refuse to reimburse me for it . I would not recommend this hotel to anyone .

Yelp
Stayed here for 1 night this week for a conference for work. When I first walked in I expected this to be a really nice Hilton. However, throughout my stay things kept going downhill. My room was enough for what I needed but there were a bunch of wet marks on the bathroom door that made it seem dirty. I didn't touch or mess with them - wasn't sure what it was. Secondly, the towels were so thin! Typically I don't care, but again, knowing this was a Hilton I had higher expectations. My agent that I hosted ordered room service and she received cold Mac n cheese. When they called room service to let them know, they told her to warm it up in the microwaves. Y'all....the microwaves are on the LOBBY floor. She was on the 21st floor. The service at the bar in the hotel was really bad and extremely slow. The service in the taco restaurant was pretty bad. The waiter we had for breakfast was so rude and made a few comments that didn't sit well with our table. I went to check out (Wednesday) and there were 3 people working the desks with a long line. Everything moved so slowly and this hotel seems extremely understaffed. It led to a less than great experience.

Yelp
Located in the heart of downtown Austin, this Hilton is convenient to many, restaurants, bars, and city attractions that Austin is known for. This hotel boasts the level of comfort I've come to expect from the Hilton brand. As soon as you step into the building you're greeted by an inviting and posh atmosphere in the main lobby. I was there on a weekday during a large conference so the lobby area was lively and bustling with people but the guest rooms were surprisingly quiet and serene. I had a spacious queen room that was clean, had a beautiful view of the city, and came equipped with the usual amenities (plus a mini fridge). There are plenty of eateries within walking distance but there's a Starbucks as well as 2 restaurants on site if you'd prefer to stay in. For Hilton Honors members there's a skyline executive lounge that offers continental breakfast and light snacks/beverages throughout the day. The lounge also has desktop computers, printers, scanners, etc for all of your business needs. Parking is conveniently located at the rear of the hotel but quite pricey for self parking each night. The hotel staff was both friendly and helpful whenever needed. My stay at the Hilton Austin was brief but I wouldn't hesitate to book again.

Mike L.

Yelp
Stayed at enough Hiltons to know the difference of a bait and switch in the hotel industry. When I've paid extra to upgraded room, don't offer me a a downgraded room and call it an upgrade. Whilst charging me the upgraded price. As a diamond member with Hilton, I don't appreciate appreciate the insult. The Austin Hilton is definitely not in alignment with the other Hiltons I have stayed at previously.

Yelp
From the moment we arrived, everyone made us feel welcome. Our room had a great view and was quite spacious and comfortable.

Yelp
We stayed here on the night of The Eagles concert. Valet was a bit crowded but we were promptly taken care of. Check in was quick and easy. Our room had such a beautiful view. It was nice and clean. No issues whatsoever. We had a great stay!

Yelp
Two stars for the view. This was definitely the weirdest hotel stay I've ever had. Upon arrival, the room we requested was not ready yet (it was after 3PM). We were offered a different room on a different floor which was fine. The first night, two security officers came to our room for talking too loud? Apparently the room next door complained. Instead of front desk calling our room to tell us to keep it down, they sent security? The officers looked embarrassed and said they knew we were not partying or anything (no tv or music on) but that the walls were really thin and someone had reported it. Okay, weird but maybe understandable. On the day we were to check out, housekeeping knocked and then proceeded to enter our room at around 8-9AM. I was under the assumption there was no housekeeping unless requested? She quickly backed out when she saw we were still sleeping. We then tried to shower, wash our face, etc but there was no water. I called down to the front desk and was told the water was shut off for maintenance. No one had informed us of this the day prior. When we went to check out the concierge was extremely apologetic. He said he would refund us a partial refund for the trouble of the no water. I did not ask for this, he offered it. He called me on my cell phone a couple of times after we left about this refund and told me that it had been taken care of via the third party site I had booked the room. When I didn't see the charge back or any communication more than a week later, out of curiosity I reached out to the site I booked from and they said they couldn't refund me after contacting the hotel because they said there had been no incidents during our stay. What? Not worth the trouble to fight this, but wow. Just wanted to share our experience. The skyline view was awesome though.

Yelp
I visited Austin for a conference and stayed at the Hilton because it was the conference hotel. I would stay there again if I ever planned to visit downtown Austin. PROS Nice staff and ambiance, two restaurants connected to it...Austin Taco Project and Cannon & Belle, full service Starbucks, connected to the convention center, and restaurants within walking distance. CONS The only real con I had was the door to our room didn't close all the way by itself...we had to make sure we pushed it closed.

Yelp
I've been staying here all summer for work, and have had nothing but amazing experiences. The staff is incredible, the location is amazing, and the fact that they love my pet makes it a great place for me to stay. Having the on site options for coffee and restaurants has been perfect for my business travel.

Yelp
The hotel is ok but the services and basics are just terrible. When you pay $400 - $500 per night you expect a few amenities. There is not coffee and convenient breakfast available at the hotel. There is a Starbucks BUT on a late lazy morning when there is not even much activity the wait just to place your order is 30+ minutes. Oh, and they were basically out of food before 8 am on a Friday. The previous evening we waited 40 minutes in line just to get a room key replaced. The staff were all very kind and polite. But the system and processes they work with are TERRIBLE. It won't be a pleasant stay unless you don't care about convenience and efficiency. If you just need a bed. The bed was fine.

Yelp
This hotel is really nice! Considering downtown Austin is extremely dirty and every hotel is nasty, the Hilton is one of the best ones you can stay at for the price. I would say try paying for the hotel via a third-party like Priceline, because when we walked in we were quoted about $150 a night, and when we went on Priceline we paid about $125 a night. So we went ahead and just did it on our phone and then checked in, it was easy breezy. The inside lobby is so nice and so pretty, they actually have a Starbucks inside the hotel, but just as a warning the prices are almost twice as high then regular Starbucks. They also have a restaurant that opens at 5o'clock to about 10 or 11, the food is really good I highly suggest it. The staff was friendly and attentive and very Thorough. Also you'll have to pay about $25-$40 a night to park in the parking garage. The hotel is in the vicinity of a lot of downtown festivities, so it's definitely a great hotel to Uber to different places and not have to pay so much. The actual bathroom was nice and clean, of course we brought our own items such as our towels but they did have nice smelling towels there as well. It gives you a very pretty view of downtown once you get into your room. All the elevators are really fast and working well. I constantly see staff wiping down elevators doorhandles and everywhere that people sit. It was very calming to see that. Everywhere I walk it smells clean, I don't see fingerprints all over the elevators, the Hilton has it going on as far as sanitation. Overall it was a really nice visit, I would definitely come back if I ever wanted to see Austin again, not bad.

Yelp
I'm a guest of the condominium attached to the Hilton hotel. I went in the lobby to buy a bottled soda. Their vending machine wasn't working and they treated me like I'm a homeless person and the man behind the desk said "I'm sure someone on the street can give you a water".... I'm wearing sweats and my child was with me in his soccer uniform. They literally treated me like I was homeless. I preceded to call and the manager answered the phone and said "how can I help" he didn't introduce himself and then asked me who I am. I said I don't even know who you are and he hung up... so I called for the 5th time...spoke to the director and he offered to get me some sodas from the bar that I could purchase. I went down there and they pretended like I never spoke on the phone. The other people behind the desk told him I was cussing them out when I was just standing there waiting. Patrick the director or so he says came out of a door and acted like I was creating a huge scene and I was just standing there. Before I spoke he said he agrees with who seemed like 22 year olds working behind the desk... he told me I didn't experience discrimination based on how I looked when clearly that's exactly what happened. Literally in my life never been treated this way.

Yelp
I travel frequently and this Hilton is underwhelming. The lady who checked me in was cold and unfriendly, the elevators are slow as molasses, and the hotel is located in a loud downtown area where the thumping of nearby nightclubs make it tough to get a good night's sleep. Good luck getting housekeeping- the sign said you have to request it, and even then it only starts after the fourth night (after most visitors are gone). Nonetheless, the hotel is clean and modern with good dining and bar venues. Unfortunately the shortcomings don't make up for these positives.

Yelp
For the price, you have to pay for parking?(and your staying here?). Only have a stupid over priced taco place?. No other decent restaurants?. Bath tub is chipped?. WYH. The Hilton , my A--. More like the motel 6

Yelp
Lovely stay. Great location, friendly customer service, nice restaurant and Starbucks. Close to Ladybird Lake.

Yelp
5 Stars for a massive, clean hotel in Downtown Austin that looked recently-renovated, with staff that shone! Right off the bat, I'll say the construction around this hotel at the moment can make it a bit confusing for a cab or lyft driver, but once you arrive, you'll be pleased to walk into a large, modern lobby with a bar to your right and check-in to your left. The lobby area also has a ton of seating areas, some which feel like you could post up with friends for a while if you wanted (or while waiting on your room). We arrived early, but they were able to get us in to a room right away. The room itself looked new and very clean. It had an incredible amount of light, due to a very large window. The bathroom was great as well, and the bed was ultra-comfy. One note I will make is I don't know why all hotels have changed from a duvet cover to two white sheets on either side of the comforter. It's obnoxious because by the morning you may find your face snuggled against the bare comforter as the sheets shift. Not sure if anyone else is bothered by this... The hotel also boasts a Starbucks, has an adjoining taco restaurant (not great, tbh), and has pretty much anything you may need (even a post office). What set the experience apart was really the incredible staff. I had forgotten my computer charger and took a shot in the dark to ask if they had a Macbook Pro USB-C charger. Robert, at the front desk, called and someone from facilities (I believe his name tag said Amor) ended up coming up to show us a bag of Macbook chargers in case one of them worked. They ultimately didn't have the type I needed, but they really went out of their way to look and bring them over to me. I appreciated the effort. Overall, comfortable stay, great location right Downtown, and friendly staff.

Yelp
I stayed one night and was there less than 10 hours. The hotel is in a great location. The design and setup of the room was nice. Then the stay was ruined by the visitor in the picture. Hopefully they do the work necessary to rid the hotel of pests so future visitors don't have the same experience.

Yelp
I have NEVER, EVER, experienced such unprofessional service as this Hilton!!! I made a reservation for a conference. I needed to change my arrival. As of today I've called literally 10 times!! I've been on hold 5 times, unsuccessfully transferred and the call dropped, I finally got through to a live person who stated they made the update however no confirmation was forwarded and my Hilton Honors profile shows no date changed!!! I called back was immediately asked "to hold briefly" and put on hold and have remained on hold for 20 mins and counting!!!! Horrible !! Can a representative from this hotel contact me ASAP!!!

Yelp
Great 2 night stay, very clean, and great restaurants. Would stay there again. Thank you

Yelp
While the hotel was clean and room was nice, the staff here appears to have never had any hospitality training. From the front desk to both restaurants, and the pool bar, everyone who waited on us had a sour disposition and seemed put out to help us during our stay. Will not be staying here again.

Yelp
*LOCATION* 5/5 - This is the main reason you'll pick this hotel. It's walking distance to basically everything you'll probably want to check out in Austin. Couldn't have picked a better location *HOTEL AMENITIES* 1/5 - OK, so this hotel has basically 0 amenities. The pool is tiny, when I went it was beyond over crowded. The Jacuzzi - The water was lukewarm (can you believe it?) ....they didn't even have the jacuzzi working. What a waste The gym was beyond basic, a couple treadmills and some dumbells. Absolutely awful. The executive lounge they used to have for Diamond Members? GONE. *ROOM* 3/5 - The room was clean and decor / color was pretty modern, which I liked. Bed was comfortable, the TV is pretty nice, they had plenty of space for me to get work done. The room was smaller than what i'm used to from most Hiltons i've stayed in. The bathroom has really good lighting. Overall just a basic room, nothing to write home about, but no complaints either. Middle of the road *STAFF/SERVICE* 5/5 - Very friendly, welcoming staff. Never had any issues with them. *RESTAURANTS* 2/5 - The hours on all their restaurants and affiliates are pretty bad. Their hours are a mess and even room service stops pretty early which was annoying. I didn't even get to use my food voucher when I went as result. The taco place is extremely overrated as well. Avoid it. *ADDITIONAL REMARKS * 1/5 - Another issue was the fact that food delivery can not go up to deliver to your room, so you'll have to go downstairs to grab your food, which is pretty annoying as well. Parking is $40/ night. Which I find absolutely ludicrous but hey, welcome to Austin, CA right? I only stayed on this hotel because out of all the Hiltons in the area, it's the least terrible one, including the Canopy. This hotel is great if all you care about is a place to crash after a long day of touring Austin, you'll get a good night sleep but as a Hilton, I really expected nice amenities. If you don't absolutely need to stick to Hiltons, there are so many great options in Austin, and you'll most likely do much better than this hotel.

Yelp
The hotel itself was fine. But, the valet manager, Shane, and his group of merry liars took almost a whole hour to bring the car around. Each guy had a different lie as to why it took so long. One guy said there was a lot of people checking out, although we were among two people standing there. Another guy said he did not see the key and someone was bringing it around. Yet another guy who brought a car around went inside and got the key while the previous guy got in his car and drove away. Shane, the manager finally came out and said they were all new! ‍. Sir, they should not be taking anyone's keys!!

Yelp
So much to say. I requested a quiet room and was placed in room 1405. I was awakened the next morning at 5:00 am by loud talking, which I realized was coming from next door. I experienced the same thing later that evening and again the next morning. Being totally exhausted from not getting a good night's sleep for two nights, I went to the lobby and asked a security person if I could speak to the manager. He took me to the front desk where I shared my issue with the person who I thought was the manager. He immediately started lecturing me, and said I should have called security. He was very aggressive and I told him I didn't appreciate being lectured to. I told him I had requested a quiet room, and he said that they had put me in a corner roo. Well, 1405 IS NOT a corner room! It has an adjoining room next to it, which is the corner room and the walls are paper thin. I quickly realized the problem was not the person next door, as someone else moved into that room. The walls are so thin, that even with my TV on, and even when I was in the bathroom, I could hear every word spoken next door. What else. The bed is comfortable. Room service: The food totally sucks. I ordered two eggs for breakfast one morning, and they were delivered simply in the bottom of a cardboard box! The food is nasty, and how it is packaged is even nastier. Of course, they don't clean your room, since COVID. Bottom line, I paid about $1200 for 4 nights, and left exhausted. If you're going to stay there, don't stay in any of the rooms ending in 05, and don't take your complaints to the management because nothing will happen except they will blame you for the problem.

Yelp
Awesome rooftop pool with a great bar and view of the city! Had an issue with the air conditioner in my room, but they promptly moved me to an upgraded room.

Yelp
Stayed here for a week while attending a conference at the Austin Convention Center that is right across the street, there is a pedestrian bridge connecting the two. It's also a block away from 6th street so it is well located in Austin. The hotel lobby is a huge open space, but with the lobby bar to the right as soon as you walk in the lobby does get quite loud at night. The hallways and rooms were clean and well taken care of. I had an issue with Housekeeping not coming one day, it was 5pm already, I had to contact the front desk and they kept saying they would send them up again, and didn't seem to understand that housekeeping never came that day! In the end they cleaned the room and replaced towels and etc. Other than the location close to 6th street and the convention center there is really nothing special about this hotel.

Yelp
Hilton Austin, I will be back! The first thing I have to applaud the Hilton Austin is their use of #technology. As a millennial, I LOVED it. I love how Hilton allows you to use a digital room key. Though I didn't personally use it, I will be sure to use it in the future. As soon as I got to my room, I was texted, welcoming me to the hotel. I was surprised that the message had the name of the person sending it. I thought it was a bit until I asked a question and recieved a personalized answer. it got even better when I could just text what I needed! If you're old school, don't worry, they still have a regular phone for you to use to make requests. Lastly, I could skip the line and check out through my phone! In general, the hotel has a pool, spa, fitness room, restaurant, bar, Starbucks and is right across the street from the Austin Convention Center. The hotel also has a connecting bridge on the 6tb Floor. If you're attending a conference, I highly recommend staying here. It's very convenient, especially if it's hot outside! In regard to service, the staff is awesome. They're very friendly and nice. Why minus one star? I have some experience in housekeeping and there were something that could have been done better (re-filling amenities, emptying trash cans, etc). It wasn't significant but something I thought was odd, even after bringing it up. Overall, if I'm ever in Austin, I'd be sure to stay at the Hilton Austin. It's walking distance to many places and is in a great location.

Yelp
Was here for a conference and really enjoyed my stay. Located right across from the convention center, the Hilton has a great location convenient to restaurants and other activities. Probably the only downside is the check in process. The line was so long (and disorganized) when I arrived, I had to leave my bags with the bellman so I didn't miss my dinner reservation. Front desk is awkwardly set up with very unclear lines, esp if you're Hilton Honors. That needs improvement. Otherwise, everything was great. My room was comfortable and clean and I absolutely LOVED the bedside gadget that let you control all the lights and temp in the room. Best thing ever in a hotel! I stayed on a Hilton Honors floor and the lounge was pretty nice. They had a decent breakfast burrito in the morning and the coffee was great. The spa is very nice. Large and peaceful, there are separate rooms for cardio and weight. The jacuzzi and pool are here as well and they are very nice. There is a great bar in the hotel lobby. Terrific drinks and excellent service. Twice there was a guitarist strumming during happy hour and that was nice. From a conference side, the rooms were comfortable, WiFi was strong and the food was tasty. You're not too far from the river so if you want to run along the trails, it will just take you five minutes to get there. There's a lot of construction going on along one side of the hotel which is a little noisy and narrows the street but you can avoid that if you need to go to the convention center by using the sky bridge on the sixth floor. Very nice place, great staff, well managed. If it wasn't for the check in line (and there frequently seemed to be one), this would be five stars for sure!

Yelp
Other than a false alarm emergency evacuation at 5AM our stay went pretty well. The vending machine drinks are really expensive and the restaurant food wasn't the greatest... but the view was amazing and the staff super nice. They were accommodating when we asked for something and fairly quick
