Cavaña Review - Mission Bay - San Francisco - The Infatuation

"In a city where hotel rooftops are often boring and overrated, Cavaña stands out. This Latin American bar on top of LUMA Hotel in Mission Bay serves killer cocktails, cool skyline views, and decent (though pricey) food. Plus, there’s a DJ who spins reggaeton tracks on a small dance floor, making it feel (briefly) like a mini getaway to Miami.  No matter the night of the week, Cavaña is a grab bag of locals, tourists, and Giants fans sneaking a look at Oracle Park. Couples on date night sip Pisco punches by the bar while influencers gather around the lush green grass wall with their ring lights. It’s not a , in the sense that it never becomes a full-out party, but with its great music and plentiful outdoor heaters, it’s the best place to slowly sway your hips around a fire.  The brightly colored cocktails are made with savory ingredients such as hoja santa, mole bitter, and tomatillos, and they come out smooth and with a bit of tropical tang. When it comes to the food, which ranges from halibut ceviche to quesabirria plates, sticking to the small bites is the way to go. Is it overpriced? Sure, but like with most rooftops, you’re here for the view, and when grading on the hotel restaurant curve, it’s not bad at all. It’s a bar worth braving the ever-changing weather for the skyline, and the occasional dancing is just a plus. " - Ricky Rodriguez

The first thing I’ll say is the service was terrific. All the staff members were friendly and efficient, food and drinks were all great. The location on the beach is very nice. Price was fair. The pools were nothing special, just typical hotel pools. I was a little more excited, given the location, for something a little more luxurious, but at least they were clean and not super overcrowded. The building felt older. Only one working elevator that was very small, so we either had to use the stairs or wait a significant time in the lobby. Our in-room coffee pot did not work. The shower door would stick and make loud noises. All small things in perspective, but just was hoping for an overall more luxurious experience on South Beach. I would be fine staying here again, but would probably spend a little more time shopping around the area before making that decision.

🌴 Hilton Cabana Miami Beach Resort – 4.5 Stars 🌴 Our stay at the Hilton Cabana Miami Beach Resort was a near-perfect escape! The beachfront location was ideal—peaceful yet close to the pulse of Miami Beach. We loved the ease of drifting from poolside relaxation straight to the oceanfront. The rooms were stylish and comfortable, with modern decor and a clean, welcoming atmosphere. Staff were friendly and attentive, even during peak times. The only slight hiccup was that one of the elevators was out of service during our visit, which occasionally slowed things down—especially during check-in and check-out. Valet and room service also had minor delays, but these didn’t significantly impact our overall experience. Despite that, the resort delivered a great mix of comfort and coastal charm, making it perfect for both families and couples. We’d gladly return and definitely recommend it for a laid-back yet luxurious stay!

This hotel has serious management issues. The front-desk staff are poorly trained and very unfriendly. The line to check-in and out every day was terrible. Not a single pleasantry or even as much as a hello as they seemed put out we dared to check in. I had chosen my room ahead of time (HHonors Member) and since we got there early we had to wait a little before it was ready. Once I got the message it was ready they switched us to the worst possible room there (and never even mentioned the upgrade I had requested). A view to a construction site next door which was super noisy and right next to the elevators adding even more noise.||Also, while we stayed here they only had 1 working elevator (for 10 floors). Being on the 10th floor, we had to wait around 15mins every time we wanted to go down and then stop at every floor each time. Everyone else had the same issue, so would get on even going up so that when it arrived at our floor it was full. This went on during our entire 4 day stay. Nothing seemed to be done about it and the staff really couldn't care less.||The only bright spot to this hotel are the bartenders. They are really nice and fun to talk to. The other person worth mentioning was the tall security guard who saw us waiting forever for an elevator and took us to the service elevator so we could finally get down one morning. Other than those 3 people everyone else we encountered here are rude (reception, towel girl, waiters) and seems put out to deal with their customers.||Avoid this place and book somewhere else that likes their customers!!!

Short trip from Hell. We arrived to hotel and you have to carry bags up the stairs because there is no ramp (that anyone told us) to use the luggage cart. Only one elevator for entire hotel was working in the lobby and it was about 15 minutes wait to be able to use it from the amount of people. Our room 426 door was open and somewhat in disarray even though we were told it was ready. The safe deposit box is located in a closet on the floor making it super uncomfortable to use. We walked around the room wearing socks, and the carpet was so dirty that the socks were filthy when we took them off. The bathroom toilet is very low and uncomfortable, and the shower marble was stained with mold in the corners of shower. There is no daily housekeeping, and we ran out of towels. Now to the serious part of the trip. The balconies are low and connected and have no partitions and we went swimming and came back to a theft of my purse and belongings from the room. What a nightmare. We reported to the police and were told they had visited the hotel before on same issue because delinquents come in through stairs and jump from balcony to balcony checking which balcony door is unlocked to rob. The sliding doors are super dirty with fingerprints and made it impossible for the police to take prints. Of course, there are very few cameras and none facing the balconies. Practically no security in the premises were seen. Hotel management never apologized for the incident. The ocean was beautiful but there was a lot of seaweed and no cleaning or maintaining of the sand.

The hotel is in a good, central location, right on the beach. The room is nice enough, and comfortable for our brief stay. The highlight, however, was the Allison Restaurant, and in particular Adriana. We arrived on-property fairly late after a long day of driving up the Keys, making it into the restaurant just a couple of minutes before closing. Despite the hour, we were welcomed warmly and treated very well. The food was quite good as well. All very much appreciated after our tiring day. Big kudos to Adriana and the kitchen staff.

I stayed at the Hilton for a week and had a wonderful experience overall. The hotel was very clean and well-maintained, which made our stay feel comfortable and relaxing. The only minor inconvenience was that only one elevator was working during our visit, which occasionally caused a bit of a wait—but it didn’t take away from the overall experience.||A special shoutout to Nickson and Jonathan, the beach attendants, who truly went above and beyond every single day. Their customer service was excellent; they were kind, helpful, and always made sure we had everything we needed to enjoy the beach. Very accommodating and always with a smile!||I would definitely return and recommend this Hilton location. Thank you for a great stay!

From start to finish, our experience at this restaurant was nothing short of fantastic. The food was absolutely amazing — every dish was full of flavor, beautifully presented, and clearly made with care. Everything was well-executed, from the timing of the courses to the relaxed, welcoming atmosphere. A special shoutout to our server, Adriana, who truly elevated the evening. She was warm, attentive, and incredibly knowledgeable about the menu. Her friendly energy and thoughtful service made us feel right at home. Highly recommend this place — we’ll definitely be back!

Just checked in tonight. Deven at the front desk could not have been more friendly or helpful. It was after nine so the restaurant was closed. He recommended The Tavern across the street, which turned out to be perfect. I loved the digital check in process and being able to pick my own room. The room has a great view of both the ocean and the pool. I’ve only been here for 90 minutes and I’m impressed!

Yelp
As a solo traveler, I definitely recommend This hotel, I've been coming for years and honestly there's no other place I'd rather be. I've cheated on them a few times but, I always made my way back. When I go to Miami, I am there for the beach, sun, drinks and sunsets. I also try to my best to stay active so the miles and miles of walking/biking paths just outside the hotel door is literally my favorite thing. I've stayed in a few different rooms there but, my favorites are the oceanfront view rooms. These room comes with a beautiful panoramic view of the beach and you get an extra large balcony with 2 beach chairs and a small table for 2. This is amazing for breakfast or morning coffee with a calm view. I also love the XL shower in these rooms. All the rooms I have stayed in also included lots of plugs/usbs, ironing boards with full-size irons, safes, mini fridges and coffee makers. My room did not have robes and slippers but I I guess we can't get everything. The staff at this point many of them recognize me when I come back and I love that feeling! A big shoutout to Roxanna for always checking to make sure my stay is going well. Mr. Personality aka Deven, thanks for making my birthday special. The recommendations and wine you are a gem. Antaun always keeps the bar patrons happy. His music playlists, lively sense of humor and delicious drinks keep me there every time! I always leave with a new core memories from the bar that never disappoints! If you enjoy the bar during the day, victor and Joe GOT Ya!!! The hotel has 2 pools a hot tub and a gym. I'm there for the beach so that's where you will find me. The resort fee includes towels and lounge chairs. You can rent umbrellas and or cabana's if you're feeling bougie. I love laying out meeting outer travelers as we get boozy. You can order food and drinks at the beach. Sergaud and Wegner will take care of you! They will balance your mojito pitcher, tacos and yuca fries like a pro. I love how attentive they are even on the hottest of days.

Yelp
Beach is close enough to walk to. Allison restaurant was good I ordered the shrimp pasta along with the ribeye steak for dinner And the shrimp sandwich and calamari for lunch certainly delicious. The views from my hotel room was nice I took really good photos for memories Cons The bartender was rude he took everyone's order but mine. But the next day it was a different bartender and he was better. The vibes were off with condescending attitudes from other guest that were there. The rooms were freezing cold no heat had to get an extra blanket. Guest service don't answer you directly you have to answer to a talking machine. Charges for every little thing. The table and chairs on the balcony were dirty. Room service was horrible I asked for bottled water never showed up. The swimming pool was super small the pictures were misleading Overall it wasn't so great of an experience but hey this is my first solo traveller to another state next time I will be visiting Orlando. the only reason I picked this hotel because it was near the beach and the restaurants were in the hotel. this will be my first and my last experience

Yelp
This is the worst "Hilton" I have ever stayed at. Dirty rooms, late check in because they are so "full" even though website clearly reads 4pm check in. Shower door won't close as hinge is coming off and ceiling has dirty mold like appearance at room entrance. I've stayed at Miami Beach for over 40 years, and this is not the norm.

Yelp
I stayed here recently with my boyfriend and we had a great experience!! The rooms are large and comfy, plenty of space to unpack and organize your things, and make yourself at home! The location is amazing with access directly onto the beach. The hotel offers complimentary lounge chairs on the beach and it was a lovely experience.

Yelp
My cousin and I chose this Hilton Hotel because it was close to our other cousin's hotel and conveniently located near the areas we wanted to visit in Miami. The location was great--close to local stores, the beach, a gas station, and only a short drive to downtown. We booked the 10th floor (the penthouse) with an ocean view. Upon arrival, we had to wait about 30-45 minutes to check in. While they did offer a room two floors below that was ready, we decided to wait for the room we wanted. The room was clean, and the view was absolutely beautiful. The bed was very comfortable, and the sheets and pillows felt so nice, making it easy to get a good night's sleep. The elevator was a bit sketchy with the noises it made, but we noticed that seemed to be common in Miami, as other places had similar issues. The hotel smelled fresh when entering, and the front desk staff was very friendly. On the night before we left, they even helped us find some great places for music and dancing. I especially loved the private beach access--it was very clean and a peaceful escape. The pool and pool bar were beautiful additions with great music and pretty good food. Service at the bar was a little slow, but overall, it was a good experience. One downside was the ice situation--our floor's ice machine wasn't working, the cover was off, and the room was extremely hot, which seemed like a hazard. Thankfully, my cousin downloaded the app, which made things easier. We could check in, open our door, and even request ice or other items directly. The driveway into the hotel is steep, and the lobby A/C was blasting, which felt a little too cold for November, but we didn't mind too much. Lastly, valet parking was $50 a day, which felt steep, but it's probably the norm for Miami. Overall, we had a good stay and would consider coming back!

Yelp
Poor poor poor. Very disappointed in staff attentiveness and room readiness. Our room was 40 minutes late for check in, and the staff working the front desk was never there. They also never answered the phone when we tried to call the front desk or concierge desk. The only reason for not leaving 1 star was the kind bartender and pool staff.

Yelp
Dirty bathroom in room, very uncomfortable bed, scratchy sheets, and overall not a nice or clean hotel. Good location, helpful staff, but otherwise yucky.

Yelp
We stayed here for 5 nights in March. It was very nice. Check in was easy but we were not able to get an early check in so I wouldn't count on it. Ask them to hold your bags instead so you can go do stuff. I got an ocean view room which was nice and while there was a balcony, it was not big enough to put a chair there so that was a bummer. I would have loved to sit out there on a chair and enjoy the view. Cleaning service was okay but the one day they came while we were in the room. I told them it was okay to skip it but we needed towels at least. She never brought any towels and I texted and said we didn't get service or towels and still no towels so that was frustrating. Luckily, there was a woman still working around 8pm and I was able to get towels from her. There is a restaurant on site but it is very expensive. There is also a coffee shop so that was nice to be able to go get a hot drink and a pastry in the morning. The hotel has two pools and is right on the beach. I loved being able to go to the beach and there was a chair waiting for me. You can get beach towels at the pool. You can get an umbrella for 25 dollars for the day. The nice thing is that they put it in for you and they will move it for you as well as the sun moves. Get there early if you want a front row chair. Cabanas are $200 and you need to book these early as well. Not sure if they will let you book them ahead of time. Waste of money IMO. They provide food and drink service on the beach so that is nice too. There's a nice walkway between the beach and the hotel if you want to go for a walk or ride bikes that the hotel provides. I was bummed that we didn't do this. The hotel is situated on the main strip and there are plenty of restaurants that you can walk to. There is also a Publix nearby that we walked to to get a few snacks and drinks for the room. If we needed to go anywhere that wasn't in walking distance, we just called an Uber. It's not worth it to rent a car. Parking is 50 dollars a day at the hotel. Bottom line, I would stay here again.

Yelp
Update: There was one very helpful employee whose husband is also in a wheelchair so she could relate. I'm not sure if it was the Hilton customer service rep or other hotel employees that was making the whole situation worse by not acknowledging the real issues of the elevator and accessible room. Since the employer did get them to clean the elevator daily and try to remove the water and bugs daily, I changed my rating from a 1 star to 3 star. Original post: I would not recommend this place if you have a disability until they fix their elevator to enter the property.  We just went to the Hilton Cabana Miami Beach, and the front entrance has stairs.   They guided me around the corner (no clean path as it was filled with tons of crab apples everywhere)  to a lift that was flooded and bug infested.  Even the hotel employee said he wouldn't get on it, and they don't usually have anyone in a wheelchair stay there.   So they took us around the other corner and through the employee parking garage (super sketchy) to come up another elevator.  I asked them to clean out the elevator so I could come and go without issues.   I will not be able to push up the steep ramp of the employee parking garage to get out.   I had to ask them twice to clean out the elevator. So we did not leave the hotel yesterday. I'm hoping it's cleaned out today. We booked an oceanfront wheelchair accessible room. Unfortunately, there is a step, so I can't get onto the balcony. Also, permanent bed and cabinet doesn't move so I have to hop onto bed and lift wheelchair over to get into bathroom. I am so frustrated with this place and its management! -Sharina

Yelp
We really enjoyed this resort Positives. Resort fee include two beach chair rentals! Great beach, loved the 9 miles on the broadwalk, room was smaller in size but functional and comfortable, pool and waitstaff were fantastic, one really great bartender willing to make off menu drinks. Location to everything was good. Downfalls... bike rentals were garbage bad condition only had 1 working. Pool was on the colder side, one crabby bartender, all bills include 18% to 20% gratuity but they don't tell you and not sure why it varies. Parking $50-$60 so expensive we returned car early. One of the shorter building in the area but very nice, well kept, has what you need and location is great. I would stay here again in a heartbeat. Hot tub was good too

Yelp
I was there for the weekend and the place look nothing like the pictures. The property is very old and outdate. The room is very small, bed sheet is worn out. To add the cherry on the cake, valet parking scratches both side of my truck. At first they were attentive to the situation, then they stop replying to my call and text. If Hilton own this property then im very disappointed in Hilton. If Hilton don't own the property they should revoke the name. If there is a zero star i would have giving it.

Yelp
I am not sure why there are negative reviews of the place. My family stayed here a few days after a cruise we took out of Miami. I guess we needed to unwind and relax from our vacation. The entire time we were at the Hilton Cabana Miami Beach, we were treated with first class service. Firstly, the hotel is beautiful and is located right next to the beach. Allison's Bar, the hotel bar makes great drinks and overlooking the beach and the hotel pool. The hotel pool is large, and the area also has a large hot tub. The hotel also has bikes to rent, if you want to. The only warning and negative is that Allison's does make Cuban coffee, but it is way overpriced! This is the only negative of my entire experience at the hotel. The room is spacious and comfortable. The bathroom is large! The beds are also very comfortable. This hotel is great! The staff is also wonderful. My family and I arrived well before check in time, and they still found a way to get us into our hotel room with only about an hour of wait. The staff is diligent and courteous I had several conversations while here with the cleaning staff in regards to my stay and the area. They always had a huge smile on their faces and were very friendly. I really do not know what else to say. It was a wonderful experience and stay at the Hilton Cabana Miami Beach. I would recommend anyone staying in the area to consider staying here!

Yelp
Recently had a 4 night/5 day stay here and overall it was good. Front desk staff, restaurant staff, bartenders, housekeeping, and beach staff were all amazing. Valet parking was horrible which is the reason for the 4 star rating. My stay was Saturday-Wednesday so of course construction nearby was taking place during the week. The construction noise wasn't too bad, you hear it but once you're getting out for the day or going to the pool or beach, you won't hear it. Other than that the hotel was quiet, especially at night. I would stay again despite valet being a nightmare. 1. Valet is $55 per day incl tax + fees 2. Resort fee $35 per day 3. Bikes are complimentary for 2 hours per day and a code is provided to you for use which you have to download an app 4. Two beach towels per person (complimentary) but they'll allow you to take more especially if you have kids 5. Beach umbrellas are $25 per day and the beach day bed/sun beds are $150 per day 6. Restaurant has ok food but you will be charged 21% service and delivery fees for room service. If you dine in, it's just the service fee.

Yelp
The room quality of this hotel is trash. Carpets are extremely dirty. The chairs have stains on them. It's somewhat noisy. The only perk is you are next to the beach. That's really about it.
google avatar

Yelp
Tired, old and somewhat depressing. Location is meh -- north of the "good" part of Miami Beach...far from the excitement and activity of South Beach. Having said that, it's an affordable beachfront hotel for the budget-conscious. And of course, you get your Hilton points so if you're only here for a quick overnight, dinner, sleep and a shower, it's ok, but I would never spend more than one night here. Looks better in pictures than reality.

Yelp
I have been a long time Diamond member and never had this much issue with a hotel as I have had recently. I am providing a list of things that I complained to the management about, however, when I kept repeatedly asking for a better room, I was offered one that was either smaller, had no view and or was no better than what my situation was at the time let alone paid for. For the price, this hotel is old and outdated and should do a better job of maintenance and care. I read somewhere and I thought it was on their website that the rooms were newly remodeled. It was the biggest reason I chose the space over others and I was completely let down once I made my way to my suite. 1. the elevators are noisy, slow and very old decor not to mention dirty looking and smelling with buttons with faded labels 2. the hallways are in need of fresh paint and upkeep. tile flooring is dirty and has many cracked tiles. carpets were dirty and beat up 3. to get to my room you had to go through a maze of hallways to then go outside in a non covered area to enter 4. I picked a suite with a partial view which online looked great. The door to the room was pitted and full of rust and corrosion 5. the AC was noisy and would only run on or off. You could not change the room temperature whatsoever even though the thermostat numbers increased/decreased 6. the mattress was extremely uncomfortable and you could feel the springs in parts of it 7. the lighting had no main switch to control the various lamps in the room 8. the headboard lighting was unusable due to flickering and inability to remain on. Looked like a night club effect. 9. the shower door glass made a shrieking sound from glass rubbing glass to open or close it 10. the shower took a minimum of 5-8 minutes each use to get hot, my last day it was upwards of 12 minutes 11. the towels were hard and rough 12. the sink faucet was barely bolted down and moved left to right easily

Yelp
My parents (in their 70s) came to Miami Beach to visit me and my husband for Father's Day. We live in Miami, so we were just staying at HCMB Saturday night, my parents were booked Friday-Monday. On Saturday evening, we were enjoying a glass of wine on their balcony in the Cabanas, overlooking the pool and ocean. A dreamy view that was not cheap. About an hour into dinner, my dad started getting notifications from his credit card company about strange purchases. Turns out, someone had broken into their room through the balcony and taken their wallets, medications, cash, jewelry, and watches. They notified the front desk and called the police. While we were filing the police report, my husband looked around the building to see if the thief had discarded their wallets/IDs. He did not find them, but did find an UNLOCKED entry from the STREET that went right up to their floor where anyone could easily hop over the short walls between the balconies. We also discovered that the lock on their door didn't work. I can only imagine that the thief was watching us, since the robbery happened right when we were at dinner. After an anxiety ridden night of feeling violated, my parents checked out early. I have to say that the security manager did follow proper protocol, checking the door entry data and filing proper paperwork. I hope that they take proper precautions to prevent this from happening again. Whoever robbed them knew exactly where to go and when to do it. Any positives I have to share about this hotel are overshadowed by this traumatic event, which obviously ruined Father's Day.

Megan H.

Yelp
The husband and I had a very nice stay. Valet was nice and answered all of our questions. All of the front desk attendants were so nice and told us of all the amenities and also answered any questions we had with a polite manner. Hotel room was very clean and the balcony view was great

Lauren D.

Yelp
Spent the night before my cruise there. It was filthy. The rugs were with deep stains. The couch cushions looked like they were 10 years old. Sat in the lobby and watched the cleaning lady not even wipe off a surface. Although the view was beautiful.... NOT WORTH IT FILTHY

Yelp
Good location. We got an upgrade to ocean view for a small fee. Pool, amenities and restaurant are pretty good. However we had a very bad experience. When we got to the room and tried to use the toilet for the first time it was clogged. I reported it and someone came to fix it. We left for the evening. When we came back and went to use the toilet again it was still clogged. This time they told me they couldn't fix it until the next day. What kind of response is this? How can you leave a guest without a working toilet overnight? To make matters worse you can't get a hold of anyone on the phone. The automated answering says you have to text for help. So I went downstairs and still didn't get any help. Basically, no other available rooms and their repair crew is out until the morning. There isn't a manager on duty and the person at the front desk can't provide a solution.

Pamela T.

Yelp
The housekeeping manager, Wayde, provided excellent customer care when we needed it and even when we didn't. We met Wayde upon checking in and as a welcome gift, he brought candy for my daughter and Chardonnay for my husband and me. Great location, great staff and awesome heated pools!

Yelp
Arrived to the hotel early morning on 9/4 to find an individual at the front desk that said he wasn't qualified to check us in and that the front desk woman was on her break and would be back in 10 minutes. After waiting 30 minutes, we began making other arrangements. As we were starting to leave, the front desk lady emerged from one door and was trying to hurry into another. We asked her if she could check us in and she rudely said she was on her break. When we said we were leaving, she grudgingly checked us in and with attitude. I have tried numerous times to get a hold of the GM, but she won't answer her phone or return my voicemails. AVOID THIS HILTON!!!

Yelp
The Hilton Cabana at Miami Beach is in need of maintenance and renovation. I read the reviews stating there are problems with the air conditioning and other issues, but booked it for its location and knowing reviews can be off or exaggerated for little to no reason. The people working here are good to great from what I observed. The guy running the bar outside is tremendous. However, there are some things that should be at a higher standard for a Hilton. I asked the guy with whom I made the reservation if the hotel has any maintenance and renovation issues and he said it's fine. When I checked in downstairs, I asked to be in a room that had already been renovated. The good news is the air conditioning is working very well and you may well adjust the thermostat higher to keep from freezing. However, I took my shower in the morning and discovered water leaked out over the bathroom floor. The glass door does not close all the way, but that small gap somehow allows an incredible amount of water to leak out and run outside the bathroom across the entrance of the doorway to the room and run to the floorboard of the wall adjacent to the neighboring unit or room. The towel for this purpose was soaked beyond its capacity. I never saw so much water leaking from a shower. So I put down another whole towel and added another towel upon leaving the bathroom to see water running out of the bathroom. Eventually four towels had to be laid down, but they remain soaked from daily showers. This is a persistent problem evidenced by the warping at the bottom of the bathroom door with waves of paint flaking off the surface at the bottom edge of the bathroom door. My room was on the seventh floor, which I was told had already been renovated. One late night, I returned and found the elevator button on the lobby level did not work to open the doors of the twin elevator bank. One had to press the down button to get the doors to open. The next day, the up button was fixed. The seating in the lobby by the entrance should be replaced. Hiltons should not have stained and worn upholstery anywhere. I can find better at Hampton Inn. All is not lost. The flatscreen in the room was great, no issues. The restaurant cafe downstairs has a juicy burger. The drinks outside are very good. So there are some good things, but we expect better from a Hilton.

Yelp
Let me start by saying the front desk staff here are incredibly kind. The hotel itself is just old and in disrepair. We had AC and fan issues in our room, that my friend complained about literally every day. They tried to switch us rooms, but the new room was hotter and smelled like mold. Housekeeping was vacuuming at 6am and there were workers working on stuff the entire time we were there. We had to call 3 days in a row to get our body wash refilled. Just wasn't the level of quality that other Hilton properties have. Despite the friendliness at the front desk.

Yelp
I would have given 0 stars if it was an option, I stayed in this hotel for ONE night, when I woke up I had bites all over me, I went to the dr. and they verified it was indeed BED BUGS. I called Hilton 800 # who created a case for me but never told the hotel. 3 days later I call the hotel and they had no idea about it. I have photos which I have included in this review and in one I am standing on the hotel balcony. Gabby the hotel manager claims to have had Orkin go out and test the room but never called me back to tell me about it. so when I called her she then tells me Orkin came out and tests were all negative. All I wanted was a simple refund but since Gabby the hotel manager cant accommodate that I feel like everyone should know exactly how this hotel cleans and treats their guests. I do not recommend this hotel to ANYONE

Yelp
This was such a great stay and a beautiful hotel with direct access to the beach. First trip to Miami Beach and spend 4 days/3 nights. I stayed in Room 608 and it was so cute. A little small and not much of a view but liked the room and the shower. The beach was great and It was about a 20-30 min Uber/Lyft to downtown. The room was paid by the company so only had a few incidentals charges from Allison's Bar and Salinity so I can't speak on overall cost. I will say that I was charged for valet at checkout, and it was promptly removed when I explained I had flown in and didn't have a car. The hotel does deliver on the excellence of service from a Hilton combined with the Miami Beach look and feel. A little late on sharing this review but look forward to the opportunity of staying here again. Maybe next trip will be for pleasure, rather than business, but it was a great little hotel space for the business meeting as well.

Yelp
DO NOT STAY HERE. Someone has to be paying to suppress user photos, if you've set foot in this building one look at these pics and you know it's photoshopped. We spent hours researching a nice beachfront hotel here in Miami and though there were many options I decided to book this one because it looked nice enough and I'm Honors Gold. Currently staying here and I am massively regretting that decision. One foot into our room and I was revolted. This is a Hilton property not a Super8 we're talking about. This place is FILTHY. Cleanliness: Dirt and dust caked onto so many surfaces - most importantly the AC return! There's mold covering the shower, weeks-worth of old coffee cascading down cabinets. Room: Carpets that look like they haven't been vacuumed in ages, stains, warped/cracked surfaces all over the place, and electric mirrors that are short circuiting just to name a few. Service: The person who checked us in was lovely. However, when I saw the state of the room, I returned to politely speak with one of the managers to show her the pictures. While she was also polite, and moved us to another room at no point did I ever actually hear, "I am sorry." I have been a manager before and the first phrase in this situation should always be, "I'm so sorry for this experience, it is unacceptable" followed by a solution AND a compensatory gesture. -30/10 DO NOT RECOMMEND

Yelp
Went once doubt I'll book at this hotel again. Nothing wrong with the staff they were very nice and welcoming. Cons: rooms are a bit small. The shower are old and had some mold. Pool area a bit small. If you bring a lot of luggage keep in mind there is no ramp.

Yelp
The hotel and our room was ok. Nothing bad or good to say about the room itself. The management however is very lacking at this hotel. All of the workers I interacted with were nice but not trained in how to run a hotel. I waited every time I visited the front desk while the desk clerks and manager explained to anyone that had an issue that they simple were unable to do anything. I saw multiple parties with issues but never saw anyone resolve a problem other than apologizing for being unable to help. Several of us waited at the pool for towels when the pool attendant was MIA daily. We went to the front desk explaining that we would like to dry off. The manager should have called the pool attendant on a radio but instead fell back into apology mode saying they must be around somewhere and they didn't have towels at the front desk so she couldn't help. It's obvious the hotel could be nice but isn't being managed well. The restaurant failed to give the 10% off for guests that the website promises. Also the website says guests can use two beach chairs and an umbrella included. The umbrella is now extra. Don't count on the website being accurate. The one department ran well was the valet. They were fast and accommodating. Whoever is managing that dept is on top of it.

Yelp
This is a good place to stay when you are in Miami Beach. There are plenty of restaurants and shops nearby. There is a trolly stop in front of the building and it's free! There were two things that I wasn't impressed with, the valet personnel did not bring my car twice when I texted like they asked. They kept saying they didn't have any valet that could get my car. It was annoying and I ended up taking the free trolly. When leaving it made it stressful because I had a plane to catch. Also, there was no one at the counter when I left. I normally check out using my app, but the registration lady said I have to turn my towel cards to them or they will charge you $25 each, and I had two. I didn't want to get another $50 on my bill so I stopped by to hand them in... no one there. At all. Security took my cards and put a sticky note. Left them on the desk for anyone to grab.

Yelp
We arrived and then cancelled our reservation due to onsite renovations in the hotel and construction next door. First floor pool was closed and other not enjoyable due to sand blasting on adjacent building. It was hard to hold a conversation in the restaurant. Awful.

Yelp
After reading the reviews online. I was nervous about my stay. This is a very small resort with 9 floors. In between two tall condominiums. Yes, they had construction during the week. The main pool was not available, but the pool was on the 3rd floor was open. With plenty of towels always available, clean & perfectly folded. Busy during peak hours. It closed at 11pm. We took advantage after 9 pm when it was empty & and quiet. Quick beach access was lovely. Umbrella rentals, day bed and drink & food serviçe was nice with the heat. The construction did not interrupt our stay in any way. The bldg next to the resort was also under construction. When out on the balcony, obviously you can hear some noise. Just as well when we had coffee across the street at Starbucks. Lobby was partially blocked off due to renovations, I didn't hear any noise the time I was down there. We rested comfortably. The personal text concierge was very attentive to our needs. I didn't see any information on the website regarding construction areas or the time frame of construction. Maybe if the information was listed, people wouldn't find the need to complain. We totally did enjoy our stay. Quiet location, clean, good eats nearby, but mostly I felt Safe! Even we ordered Uber eats. Oh, rooms come with a mini fridge & microwave located in the lobby. Huge plus when traveling with a little one like I did. After check out, I texted our personal concierge since I left my earbuds. Even after check out prompt response & attentive.

Yelp
We just stayed at a Marriott. The staff was attentive, helpful, and actually there. Wonderful, reachable room service. Very clean. I'm switching from Hyatt to Marriott. They don't need to apologize. The Hilton in Miami was filthy, no one available to correct, a small pool they charge $50 per towel that you borrow, and no room service answering phone. They promised our room was next to our kids. It was on another floor!

Yelp
Let me just start out by saying this place sucks! I'm really an easy going guy..... This hotel is the worst place I've ever stayed. I will never come back to this Hilton, ever, as long as I live. I will never recommend staying at this establishment to my worst enemy. I will start out by saying..... they will not let you checked into your room 1 minute before 4:00 pm. I know for a fact 1 of the 2 rooms I reserved was clean and could occupied by my family until the other was available. My wife got in the shower to find no body wash, no shampoo, no conditioner, 3 towels and 1 wash cloth for a 4 person room.... Who taught the house keepers this? No one is available to get you the things that are missing when needed.... I also tried to walk out on my balcony to view the sand and ocean but could hardly pry the sliding door open to sit in the balcony chairs.... The windows in my room looked as if they weren't washed for months. Once getting the sliding door opened on my balcony I spoke with my neighbor and he had the same issues as I. Management needs to do some serious training with their employees to fix these issues! I would give them 0 stars if I could..... very disgusting to pay this amount and get this horrible service!

Sandip T.

Yelp
Initial stay in Nov 2017 was great. Subsequent stay in October 2018 was horrible. Provided feedback to management at the time. Was offered remediation perks upon another stay. Pandemic happened. Attempted to reach out to management in May 2024 to take advantage of offers. Email communication back and forth regarding reservations abruptly stopped by them. They ghosted me and never responded to a few email attempts. Not a venue I recommend anymore.

Yelp
This Hilton is located in Mid Beach for both travelers and locals to enjoy. A group of us were able to enjoy the cabanas, pool, and beach with a day pass for this spot. Your only option is to valet as there is not really any parking available near here. The valet area is small that holds probably 3-4 cars max on a tiny hill while waiting to get your car parked. You may have to wait a bit as there seems to be only 1 to 2 valet attendants parking and getting cars. If there's nobody outside, you can head inside to find a little valet kiosk area. If you're going to the pool area- just walk inside and straight down the hallway that will lead to the outside. There are two pools- one on the first floor with cabanas and the bar area and then one on the third floor that can be accessed from the stairs outside. There are no umbrellas on the third floor pool, only beach chairs. We got two cabanas for the day and spent the whole day there. We were able to get some drinks and food with attendants constantly walking around to make sure we were okay. There were towels and each cabana came with water bottles, a bottle of prosecco (or beers) and you get a certain percentage off food items. My friend ordered the whole nine yards! We had fish tacos, pork tacos, pork sliders, calamari, shrimp, and chicken tenders. The food was really good! I had a mango daiquiri which was also amazing, especially on a hot day. There is access to the beach from this hotel. It was Memorial Day weekend and it was crowded by the beach so we opted to stay poolside for most of the day.

Yelp
Great stay, have no complaints with hotel part of the stay. Food though over priced and extremely mediocre. Staff is friendly though.

Yelp
This was my first time in Miami with my boyfriend. We wanted to be near the ocean and the city. We actually stayed long enough to book one in the city and this one which was on the ocean front! Parking: You can go with their valet parking but I always find that expensive and unnecessary if you have 2 working legs lol Download the ParkMobile app. It'll save you time and money on finding the closest lots/spots. We used the parking lot "P81" if you keep going north (hotel on the right side) it's right after the green sign that says, " 65th st next signal" You should have already passed 2 hotels. After 6PM? 7PM? It's free parking and starts charging at 7am or 8am for a couple of bucks each hour. We were mostly out and about and was back in time for the free parking. Room: I booked the ocean front room. But as soon as we got in, I noticed the carpet had blood stains everywhere by the windows and bed. I went back down to the front desk and the girl was so sweet and offered to switch our rooms. I believe her name was Brittany. But the room she offered us was smaller to me and the carpet was just as dirty. The bathroom was definitely smaller and did not have the extra counter space which I wanted. So I just kept our original room but the bloody carpet grossed me out lol I felt bad being a hassle but she was super nice about it with no attitude! Balcony: Loved the view! You may see the other buildings on the sides but it's not that bad. I liked that they provided 2 lounge chairs and a table. There's no privacy though. You will be able to see the people next to you because the dividers are glass. And they don't go as high up. Pool: We didn't have any trouble getting towels. They were always there. The cabanas are too cute and convenient! There's also another pool on the other floor. They also have a jacuzzi. Their restaurant wasn't open when we were there though. Honestly for the price and location, it was perfect for us. I would book here again. But I hope they replace their carpets soon!

Yelp
Stayed for a week. The room was great; however, I felt I was doing my squats evey time I used the toilet bowl & the opposite when I used the sink-too high. Loved that I could lock up my laptop when I went out. The weekend was a mad house; place was packed. Front desk was attentive & courteous. One of 2 negatives, I had to extend my stay & that day (the one I was originally checking out), the room was not refreshed. Second, the Bell staff did not help with luggage or open the car door if you arrived in an Uber or Lift nor did they allow them to drop off/pick up in the driveway. Vehicle needed to wait away from driveway or drop you off at the bus/trolley stop in front of hotel. Having said this, will stay here again.

Yelp
When we were planning our trip, my husband and I looked at booking this property but, made the grave mistake of booking a condo down the street to save some money. We spent one night in the 'cheaper' and much dirtier property then booked the Hilton for the remainder of our stay. The moment we walked in, it is obvious that the property is well maintained and very clean! The lobby is nicely decorated and spacious. Lots of seating to relax. The employees were all very friendly, understanding and accommodating. There was a delay in getting us into our room so, they provided us with vouchers to use in the restaurant while we waited, which we appreciated. I'll start with the few cons of the property. Parking is not included in your stay and was $48 per night. Drinks and food were also very pricy. The bathroom shower leaked (it appears the seal on the door needed replacing) and the floor was extremely wet after a shower. This made for some slippery moments! Also, the Bath towels were oddly limited. They gave us 2 bath towels, 1 hand towel and 2 washcloths for 3 people. Trying to get additional towels was difficult. Also, there was a lot of late night road construction in front of the hotel. It got rather loud at times but, overall didn't dampen our stay. The Pros: Both pools and the hot tub were clean and very well maintained. It added to the relaxing vacation we were hoping for. The views of the ocean from the upper pool were nothing less than amazing. There were ample lounge chairs available and they also had beds available to rent. There is beach access from the lower pool area. However, there was quite a bit of seaweed in the ocean and on the beach at this time so, we spent most of our time by the pool. There are bikes available and are free for the first two hours. There is a nice boardwalk between the hotel and beach to ride or jog. It definitely much safer than riding on Collins Ave which is very busy. The room we booked was listed as a partial ocean view. The view was exactly as they described. We had a nice size balcony which provided ocean views from the side of the building. The building next door is undergoing some big renovations yet, the workers were quiet. Also, I noticed that the sliding doors blocked out almost all of the outside noise. Definite plus! Overall, the room was on the smaller side but, this didn't bother us at all because the room was so clean and comfortable! We were very pleased with our stay and very thankful the Hilton could accommodate us. We would definitely stay here again.

Yelp
If you're looking to be in a hotel with less people around and noise this is a good one. It's not far from all the restaurants on Collins and Washington but somewhat away from all the chaos hahaha. The private beach is really nice and they give you two beach chairs per room to lounge on. They have a dj playing music in the pool area/bar which is cool no other hotel in area had music. Service was really good from the valet, front desk, bar tender just about everyone and rooms were clean. The Allison restaurant inside the hotel had a good breakfast. I also really liked the direct access to the beach and the walking/cycling trail in the back of hotel. I definitely will stay here again ambiance was great!

Yelp
Horrible. Booked a king partial veiw ocean balcony. The room I was put in had no balcony as it was ground level. Phone doesn't work. All the toiletries are empty. No 2 hour bike rental or reusable water bottles like the website says are included. I was told they are booked so I can not have the right room. No offer to give me a rate for a room with no view or balcony. The bathrooms have dumb pocket doors so every time someone in another room shuts their pocket bathroom door it's an incredibly loud boom. This hotel is horrible. So many choices. Stay somewhere else.

Yelp
Desiree your front desk clerk was the absolute best! My friends and I appreciate her so much! She allowed us to check in a bit early for our stay after our red eye flight. We haven't experienced such a pleasant reception at a hotel in such a long time. We travel well and often. Rarely leave reviews but definitely wanted to take the time to reach out to your hotel and let you know that Desireè is doing things exceptionally well! She started our ten day trip so well we are already talking about a return trip!

Yelp
This was my first time in Miami the location of the hotel is nice and there is direct beach access. The rooms definitely need a refresh but the staff were very nice. One thing to note is if you want to use a beach umbrella they are an extra cost. We decided to make a day of hanging out on the beach to get the most out of it. Definitely a relaxing vacation!

Yelp
My wife and I decided to spend our Hilton Honors membership points on the Hilton Cabana in Miami. When we arrived, we were horrified at the condition of our room, torn up and damaged furniture, stains on the bed and headboard, and filthy floors. We went down to the front desk to see if they had another room available, and we were told that they had no other rooms available. I asked to cancel the reservation, which they did, however, they informed me that the points, and the money I spent, would not be reimbursed for two weeks, meeting I would not be able to spend those points on another hotel in the area. So we booked another hotel in the area that was slightly more expensive, but significantly nicer, but unfortunately, we had to shell out money instead of using our points. I am deeply frustrated that Hilton did not stand by their product and make their error and mistake, right. Once we have been reimbursed our points and have used those up, I will be canceling my Hilton Honors membership and credit card, and never staying at another one of their hotels ever again.

Yelp
We had a lovely stay at the Hilton Cabana in Miami Beach. Everyone was very friendly. The access to the beach was great and the views from our room were beautiful. We did have a minor issue with our shower door which caused water on the floor, we texted the front desk and they sent someone up and they brought us fresh towels addressed the problem with the shower door. We would stay here again.

Yelp
Great location. The hotel needs to be knocked down. Old outdated. Had the same room on two different stays. The air conditioning was awful. Sounded like a fighter jet was in the room. Had the same complaint on two stays. Same problem. They obviously don't care. Everything was great except the rooms. Needs a facelift

Yelp
First and foremost, Hilton does not honor active military discount. Atleast they did not during my stay. I recently went on a family vacation with my brother (active airforce) and his name was listed on the reservation. When we checked in he provided his military ID and they stated he couldnt get a discount for his room upon check in. This was a bummer and just distasteful of Hilton. Next, the property was undergoing construction at the time of our stay and created a very chaotic environment. I wish they would have notified guests prior to booking, we shouldnt have had to pay full price when some of the main amenties (lower pool) were not in use. Lastly the general upkeep of the facilities was alarming for a Hilton brand. Again, just not was expected from a hilton and gave off a very low budget/nasty asthetic. The service staff at the beach were amazing and friendly. The location of the hotel is convenient, quiet and safe.
