"This West Roxbury restaurant specializes in a mix of Nepali and Indian cuisine, and you should order a little bit of both. The meat and veggie momos are top-notch, as is the saffron lamb curry." - Karen Wilber, Eater Staff

"Serving a mix of Indian and Nepali food, West Roxbury’s Himalayan Bistro offers steamed momos with vegetable, chicken, lamb, or plantain filling. The latter is vegan. There’s a lunch buffet at Himalayan Bistro, and the restaurant also hosts private events in a function room that fits up to 100." - Rachel Leah Blumenthal

The food taste is amazinh but the quality is mot great. I ordered vegetable noodles and all I got in the noodles was onion and peas. The momos came out frozen from inside.

One of the most authentic Nepali restaurants I have been to. The place offers a lot of options for vegetarians and vegans. It has a welcoming atmosphere and attentive service, along with generous portions and authentic flavors. I would highly recommend it.

Google
The food is amazing! It’s a family owned restaurant and the owners are very kind people. Definitely try the mango lassi, it’s one of the best I’ve had. The appetizers are amazing, the chicken and goat entree dishes are amazing! The food tastes authentic. Definitely going back.

Had a really bad experience with this place. We ordered Tandoori chicken (spicy) and instead received some soft cooked chicken in gravy. And the chicken wasn't even smoked at all. The dish they provided us can never be called a Tandoor in any way. We called them back on it, but they insisted that since we wanted it spicy they put the gravy on it. Firstly Tandoori chicken never comes with gravy, so it they serve it with gravy for they spice they should've informed us while we placed the order. So we had to drive back to the place to get the replacement. Moreover we had to face the appalling customer service as they were just not taking accountability of the situation and instead treated us with the worst attitude. I also for a fact would like to state that we spent $50 on dinner takeout, and yet were treated with the worst customer service.

We love this place it's one of our favorites to visit when we're in town! The atmosphere is amazing an so is the food!!!!

Google
Amazing little bistro, portions were huge and prices were reasonable. We ordered a dinner for two, and received soup, samosas, raiti, naan, a kebab plate, two dishes, and a dessert! Way too much food for two of us, but always happy to have leftovers! The Tikka masala is fantastic, and the kebab plate and samosas we're amazing. Naan was buttery and soft to perfection. Definitely a great place to stop for dinner, but very laid back, so don't expect to be in and out quickly.

Google
This place is really good. The wide options of vegan and non vegetarian food accommodate for everyone in a group. The food is delicious with huge portion and reasonable price. We ordered momo and Chowmein and these food had an authentic nepali taste to it. I would say one of the best place in town for momo. The host and staff are very friendly and ambience is very inviting. I would definitely recommend this place.

Himalayan Bistro is one of my favorite Indian places in the Greater Boston Area. I used to live somewhat near by, and would go somewhat regularly. Even now that I've moved a bit farther away, I'll still periodically make the trek back down. I've never had a problem getting a booth, with or without a reservation. In fact, many nights it seems downright empty. From watching the comings-and-goings, it looks like a lot of their business comes in as takeout orders. Before you order anything, you are given what I believe is papadum, with a trio of chutneys: coriander, tamarind, an onion. All of the chutneys will give a huge boost to the other foods you'll have during the course of your meal. My favorite appetizer from Himalayan Bistro is the coconut soup. Creamy with chunks of shaved coconut, with a strong hint of honey and some notes of cardamom. With a perfectly tangy and savory masala sauce, I've always enjoyed their chicken tikka masala. Big chunks of chicken drenched in sauce, served in a neat pot over a tea light to keep it warm. For science, I can tell you that the pot gets very hot under the tea light... no need to burn yourself... I've done that for you. Depending on what is ordered, they may give the table a big plate of rice to share. It's fragrant and moist, anything but bland. I could eat just the rice itself and be happy; when mixed with the masala sauce, it's amazing. Adding a big spoonful of the onion chutney just sends the flavor through the roof. We usually get a side of garlic naan. One piece is enough for two people, and it's a great vehicle to eat as much of the masala sauce and chutney as you can. The meat is generally sort of dry, and this is where I need to dock a star: every time I've gone, the sauces, the chutneys, and the rice have been amazing. But the meat is always slightly lacking in flavor and is a bit dry. I've tried the chicken, and the lamb several times, and have always had the issue. But clearly, it's not a big enough problem to keep me from going back if I'm in the area.

Yelp
Nice, sizeable restaurant. Numerous options. Food was very tasty & flexible on degree of spice. Service was prompt & helpful. Will definitely go back.

Anish K.

Yelp
Ordered takeout based on reviews. Very disappointed. Pickup service was prompt and the restaurant has good decor and ambience. There is street parking in front, but can be pretty busy most part of the day. Food order fell short and did not taste good even though they are priced bit higher than most restaurants around. Plain naan ($4) & Tandoori roti ($6) were both partially cooked and tasted sour, not good overall. Lamb-do-pyaza ($20) lamb meat cooked with onions, bell pepper and spices was jacked up with chilli powder to make it spicy and lacked flavor. The onions tasted a bit stale too.

Danielle - A Pseudonym B.

Yelp
It was fine. Veggie entree and naan. The naan was very large. They, too, failed to include onion chutney as I requested. It was just there. Side note: Indian food is getting soooo expensive like every other food. I always have buyers remorse unless the food sends me to mouth heaven.

George B.

Yelp
Himalayan Bistro is a very accommodating restaurant and a delicious choice! It has a simple decor a and a bit of a dark (as in dimly lit) ambiance. A choose to have a cocktail - the Himalayan green that had gin, tequila, and sour apple. Sour apple was the predominant flavor but the cocktail was very drinkable, It came in a martini glass with short straw. My wife and I got the veggie dinner for two with some additional cherry naan. They were nice enough to let us sub-in a banana momo special into it, which was ok with a bit of banana flavor. The predetermined apptizers were 2 veggie samosas (nothing out of ordinary) and a very good Mulligatawny soup. I ordered the Kabuli Chana to be spicy hot and it was great. Imagine a perfectly heated chickpea base with a thick red sauce. Dessert was equally enjoyable. We shared a sweetened carrot cake with milk that was only fine but the milk based balls in honey were fantastic. During the Covid lockdown we tried their takeout and was equally satisfied. The samosas remained the same. The raisin and nut naan was tasty, as was the saag paneer. The lamb curry was even better! My toddler son loved it all.

Beth K.

Yelp
This was my favorite "go to" for Indian food until recently. I placed an order, and days later, I noticed they double charged my credit card. I called and was told thar a manager would call me back. Two days later, I called again and was told that I only placed one order. I again explained that they charged my credit card twice. They said there was nothing they could do since I only placed one order and that I should call my credit card company. I'm sure if they looked at the books, they would see that they were credited twice. I'll be looking for a new place for Indian food.

Christina H.

Yelp
The food was so so good! Get the dumplings! They are like pot stickers but come with an interesting curry sauce The lamb korma and the lamb saffron was the best. But we also liked the saag We didn't like the samosas as much But the mint chutney was fantastic Owners were very nice You won't be disappointed at this place And of course the mango lassi

J. C.

Yelp
The food at Himalayan Bistro is always delicious. We mostly order on line for take-out orders. The lunch specials are the right amount of food for lunch at a great price and there are monthly discounts on the website. Today we got our order home and discovered an item we ordered as vegetarian actually contained chicken. We called to let them know what happened and a short time later the right item was delivered to our door! Mistakes happen, however fixing the mistake graciously and quickly--as they did for us today--is the mark of a well-run business.

John R.

Yelp
When you see these 1 star reviews whining about delivery Well it's always some no tip or short tip asshole customer who wants you to run up a million steps or down some icy driveway and give the driver shit Very disrespectful and rude customers who want you to kiss their ass and give you shit and treat you like shit. Well they can kiss my ass. Go call door dash and see what they charge you Delivery drivers are people too and deserved to be tipped accordingly. That's how they make a living. They have kids and families and bills like everyone else. So when you direspect expect the same treatment.

Rajita M.

Yelp
Awesome food with great taste. Definitely will be my "go-to" place for Indian and Nepali food. The momo was so good. The staff were friendly and welcoming. I will suggest visiting this restaurant.

Martha N.

Yelp
I ordered at 6 and got the wrong food at 7. The food was too spicy-I'd ordered mild and nothing like what I'd ordered. I called and was told they'd resend my order. I was told it would take an hour. It is now 10:43 and the restaurant is closed. I won't be ordering delivery again.

John C.

Yelp
I've only done takeout but the food is fantastic. India Quality near Fenway may be the only delivery Indian food that can rival Himalayan Bistro. They have a great range of Indian and Nepalese dishes. Strongly recommend.

Kelly O.

Yelp
The first time we tried this place, we got the special all-inclusive dinner, and literally everything tasted like black pepper, from the soup to the curries to the tea- that was the dominant flavor of literally everything. We tried again, and that previous visit must have been an off day because nothing tasted of black pepper and was instead just as it should taste- the korma was korma-y (slightly on the sweeter side but still nicely balanced) and the lamb curry tasted like curry (which kept getting spicier with each bite, at the 'medium' spice level). Overall it's pretty solid, and I have no real major complaints. There are some tiny details that help me favor our usual Indian go-to (their tamarind sauce is much thinner, their naan is a bit on the dense side), but all in all I won't hesitate to add them to our rotation.

Graham P.

Yelp
Really solid Indian fare in the neighborhood. Flavors are always good, food quality is good, quick timing on pick up and delivery. Always a great choice when you need some naan and tandoori

Alan B.

Yelp
We ordered from Himalayan recently, the lamb in the lamb curry was not soft also more vindaloo then Medium. Same story for the Chicken Korma. This is not the first time that the curry's were disappointing.Love to support local but Himalayan has not earned its high rating, at least in my book.

Michael Z.

Yelp
Very delicious food and really nice atmosphere. My favorite is the chicken makhani and my wife loves the tikka masala. Make sure to grab some garlic naan as well!

Lauren J.

Yelp
Stopped by here for a late lunch after getting my hair done nearby. It was 3:30 on a Saturday afternoon and the place was empty. A woman was sweeping the floor when I walked in and she just kind of stared at me. I asked if they were open and a young man working there said "yes - have a seat!". I ordered the chicken tikka masala as I had been craving it for a week. The tikka masala came with a side of basmati rice. I was happy with the portion size and the flavor. The rice was well cooked, as was the chicken and the "broth"(?) was creamy and delicious. No complaints! As I was alone, I took in my surroundings. It was an "off" hour for the restaurant and the staff was sitting down to a meal a few tables down. Two other parties came in when I was there and they were greeted with the same blank stare from the waitress. At this point, it was kind of amusing. It was like she didn't know what to do when people walked in or why they were there. She was polite (and refilled my water glass several times), but it was a bit strange. I asked if I could take the rest of my tikka masala and rice to go and she said she would bring me a box. About 5 minutes later, the gentleman waiter collected my plates and said he would box it up for me... Ok! I wasn't in a rush and enjoyed my meal. I would come back here when in the area and would love to try something new from this place.

Karla W.

Yelp
Must be new owners. I moved out of the area for a year came back to the bistro this eve and must say I don't even recognize this restaurant. Tonight all of my hot appetizers were incredibly greasy and the paneer fritter was so stale (hard) I could barely bite into it. The mint tamarind and onion chutneys were extended by oils and definitely not fresh. The papadum was stale too. Really I wonder how much worse could it be? This is unfortunate because before May 2021 this was the best Indian restaurant for miles around.

Joe C.

Yelp
We stumbled across this restaurant after we discovered that our destination restaurant was only offering take out, and man were we thrilled with our experience here. The serving staff was very nice, and our meal, the non-veg dinner for two was spectacular. We had so much we couldn't finish that it might be called dinner for four. We certainly took enough food home for another meal. I wrote this review partly for you, but also so that I could find Himalaya Bistro again! Super pleased with our delicious experience here. Many thanks.

Brendan H.

Yelp
Really should change their name to "Himalayan Creamery" as the entrees majored in cream and minored in everything else. My matar paneer-loving companions couldn't eat theirs because it was "heavy and gross." Worst Indian food I've had in the Greater Boston area. If you tried this and think you don't like Indian food, I implore you to try another place--this is just a really bad example of the cuisine.

Nohelia R.

Yelp
My fiancé and I moved in to the neighborhood pretty recently, we were walking down centre street seeing what was still open(9pm). I poked my head in an asked staff if they were still open and they said yes. We sat down and had the non vegetarian dinner for two. It was delicious, the chutney was very flavorful, the samosas were hot and crispy, the chicken soup was very savory, we had three entrees to share, they are are very good ! We were stuffed by the end of our meal. I believe it may have been the owner who waited on us. They weee very kind and attentive. We will definitely be coming back !

Marko S.

Yelp
Restaurant that care about their business and customers and community take orders until closing time, if A customer calls for a pick-up order, you answer to ask how can I help you than you say YOU'RE CLOSED take the order and make the food because you want that person to order food from you again especially if they live close by

Nash G.

Yelp
Food could be spiced up a little. Also fell sick the last time I ordered Matar Paneer, maybe it was bad Paneer? Online ordering system credit card payment system doesn't work.

Rocky W.

Yelp
I went here yesterday with a friend since we had a craving for Indian food. The restaurant is located on Centre Street, which is the main street in West Roxbury, so you can find parking on the streets or in the nearby neighborhoods. I saw that this restaurant has a 10% discount if you check in and a $25 for $20 special through Yelp so I got the latter. The restaurant itself is beautiful, it's one of the most well decorated and fancy looking Indian restaurants that I've been to. They have wonderful curtains and Indian art decorating the walls. The tables with their napkins and silverware arrangement is well done. However, I found the food to be very average. They have three buffet tables. The first is the Chaat table which has various toppings like onions, tomatoes, pickles, cucumber, in addition to Chicken Momo, which is like a dumpling. The second table has more topping, the desserts, which are carrot cake and traditional Indian rice pudding, as well as some sauces and a lentil soup. The last table has the main courses which include Vegetable Pakora, Vegetable Samosa, Tadka Dai, Basmati Rice, Rayo Ko Saan, Novaratna Korma, Aloo Broccoli, Chicken Tikka, Beef Mushroom, and Chicken Tandoori. Each table gets garlic Naan, which was good. My favorites were the Naan, Vegetable Pakora, the toppings, and the chicken momo. For dessert, the Rice Pudding dessert was delicious. I'm a huge meat eater and sauce lover and I usually love Chicken Tikka and Chicken Tandoori. However, the sauce of the Chicken TIkka was very bland and only tasted mildly like tomatoes more than the usual creamy delicious flavor that I'm used to. The Chicken Tandoori was just too try and plain to eat. The service was average, they refilled my drinks and took away the dirty dishes. Nothing special. Overall, I thought this restaurant was okay. It's pretty inside and well organized. They just need to improve the quality of some of their food. I might give this place a second try in the future, but it won't be anytime soon.

Ma C.

Yelp
I have been to Himalayan Bistro numerous times over the years. Great food and service.

Denise M.

Yelp
This is my second time her in the last two months, once for brunch and then for dinner. The brunch buffet is definitely the best value for the price. The lamb saag was a little disappointing with only a few pieces of lamb for the price I expect at least 9 pieces in the sauce. The lamb biryani was ok, not the best I've ever had and not the worst. If I come again it will be for the buffet or maybe I would go with the Nepalese specials. Not sure but I would return. If your in the area and hankering for indian this is a good option.

Jocelyn W.

Yelp
Our family loves this place! Probably the best naan in the city (get the Kashmiri)! Our son devours the Himalayan vegetarian platter and the malai kofta, novaratna korma never disappoints. The spice level can be a bit inconsistent, so if you don't like spicy, always request mild. I tried the vegetarian biryani for our latest order and was hugely disappointed. I requested medium spice and it was SO spicy. It also looked like the spice had just been dumped on top (not well mixed) and there were not nuts/raisins in it. I ate about 1/2cup and tossed the rest. I've had biryani from other places that is much better.

Namrata K.

Yelp
We've been ordering from Himalayan Bistro for years but the last few times we've been really disappointed in the quality. Food wasn't taste fresh--the mattar paneer was bland, the naan was too chewy and rice was dry.

Stewart W.

Yelp
Delivery arrived 40 minutes late. Food needed reheating. Add another 20 minutes. Biriani and Korma way too salty. Korma so spicy couldn't taste the almondy sauce. Just average.

marcia g.

Yelp
Ordered takeout for 4 adults. Absolutely delicious flavours of curry. We had eaten there prior to COVID. We had the buffet first time. The individually selected dishes far better than the buffet. Choice of degree of spice. We have ordered again.

Jason D.

Yelp
Mostly a takeout place but they have the best samosas and momos as well as many other specialties you cannot get at an Indian restaurant if you don't like spicy order mild even medium can be very hot depending on what you order best food in the city always a truly nourishing meal.

Jesse D.

Yelp
I placed a large order of party trays for a gathering of 15 people this weekend. Online ordering was easy, and this place seems better set up for large orders at reasonable pricing than others in the area. The food was generally excellent, especially the momos and the vegetable korma. They were easy to work with, including making a couple changes two days before. My only complaints are that one item was not quite ready until about 20 minutes past the pickup time. And the naan was a bit hard. I'll also echo what some other folks have said on here that the food was rather spicy, but it was delicious to me - just make sure to indicate if you want it more mild.

John L.

Yelp
I just did a event with them. The food was amazing. Staff was super friendly and Very professional! Must have this catering company at your next event. Thank you so much it was a pleasure working with you

Yelp
Damn best Indian and Himalayian food you'll find in Boston. Very nice people and exceptional food. Some of my favorites: -Chicken Momo (steamed) -Sheekh Kabab -Shrimp Saag -Tandoori Chicken -Chicken Makhani -Anything with Masala (yum) -Kabuli Chana -Rayo ko Saag (mustard greens)

Amanda C.

Yelp
First time trying this place, and I absolutely loved it! The food is delicious, the service is great and timely and the staff is excellent. Adding this to my list of favs in the area!

Lucy S.

Yelp
Food is awesome! The nan bread is the best. The place is always dead for dine i! Lots of take out! Food is good. Service is slow but good

Yelp
Mango lassie was old and starting to ferment. Food was low quality. Cutting corners at its finest. Horrible stomach ache the next day. Don't to it to your self please

Lynne L.

Yelp
My husband and I had dinner on a Sunday night. We ordered wine, beer, soup, papadum, and two entrees. Pro: the wine was surprisingly good, generous pour, and quite inexpensive. The entrees were unexceptional, but I appreciated that they weren't drowning in fat. They were well seasoned, although on the less-spicy side. (We asked for medium on the mild-medium-hot scale, so probably our bad.) The dining room is pretty. Cons: fire alarm was beeping during the entire hour we were there. Our coconut soup was essentially hot coconut milk. Despite setting it aside and not eating it, we were not asked about it and it remained on our bill. We were the only table in the restaurant at the time, although there was a large party in the adjacent banquet room. We asked twice for papadum, but it was not delivered until we had finished our meals and set our plates aside. Every step of this meal entailed an overly long wait. We asked for our remaining entree to go, and they threw it away. We may continue to order takeout from here when we crave Indian food, but I would not recommend dining in.

Yeshi T.

Yelp
I just ordered a delivery of chicken momo, chicken curry, naan, aloo aloo Parantha and samosa. Everything was really good except for chicken curry. Over al great food, I will def order again.

Samantha B.

Yelp
Relaxing atmosphere. Large menu of Indian and Nepali fare in West Roxbury Center. Plenty of vegetarian options. As Nepali cuisine is not abundant in the Boston area, decided to sample some of these dishes. Served Indian papadam (thin crackers) and savory chutneys to start. Tomato/onion is always a favorite with a pleasant pack of heat. Start with some momos (dumplings) or soup. Thukpa soup is mild, with a faint spice, combining vegetables and noodles. Kukhura Ko Masu Ra Saag (chicken with spinach) is not similar to Indian-style saag. Cubed chicken with loads of garlicky sautéed spinach. A small amount of sauce. Goat curry is saucier with some cream and spice. Note that some cubed goat meat is on the bone. White rice on the side. Interesting food but not overly exciting.

Maria E.

Yelp
I had a great experience here. It was pretty busy (Sunday lunch) but the employees were very attentive, kept us updated and worked quickly to get us a seat. We only waited for about 10 minutes. They had a large menu as well as a buffet. The menu had a wide variety of options including a Nepalese section. I ordered from the Nepalese menu: chicken soup, lamb momo (dumplings) and the spiced potatoes. Everything was delicious and very well seasoned. Really generous portions too!! We ordered some garlic naan for the table which was very good. My mom had mulligatawny soup and vegetable biryani which she found too spicy for her - she told them she didn't like spicy so they made it mild (which turns out is still too spicy for her taste buds). I tried her mulligatawny soup and thought it was absolutely delicious! But yeah, if you dislike spicy stuff, be aware. They had a wine list and a decent beer selection with Indian and Thai (Singha) options. They had smoothie options on the menu but I was told they weren't available that day for some reason. Service was attentive and very friendly. Would recommend! Oh and don't forget to check in here on Yelp for 10% off!

Roderick B.

Yelp
Fantastic Nepalese and Indian cuisine! Go for the Momo appetizer and although the standard Indian fare like Tikka Masala and the chicken naan are great I'd suggest being adventurous and trying their unique Chef choice stuff like Chicken Sashlik. Delivery was fast and on time. A plus especially during these stay at home never ending days. The only negative I would say is that I wish I could customize the "heat". I'd definitely like more spiciness in the dishes I've gotten.

Sophia B.

Yelp
One of the best places to eat healthy and delicious food. Buffet is always fresh and food is keep coming. Quality and not quantity, that's what is all about it with authentic music and kind owner Ramy who always make sure you are serve at their best. We have been going there for awhile and even order their food for our wedding day and it was worthy of every dime as they always keeps it clean and organized at any time. Try chicken Tandoor or shrimp special, it's well balanced, not greasy and very proper. You wont regret, I promise!

Aakash S.

Yelp
Great food. Great people and great ambiance. Check the spice levels, they are Indian level spicy!

Christina K.

Yelp
I stopped by here for lunch, even though I wasn't that hungry. And it's a lunch buffet. I just needed a break and some food during my canvassing. I really should have gone to Los Amigos, which probably would have given me a more reasonable portion of food, but I was already here so whatever. The food is solid - the okra was very good (though oily - I'm sure it's deep fried), but the veggie korma was by far my favorite. The curry was well seasoned, rich, and chock full of zucchinis and mushrooms. My least favorite was the saag paneer, which was a bit bland. Sad, as that is normally my favorite dish. The samosas were also delicious, as was the kheer. The garlic naan took a few minutes to come out, but it was very very good - just the right amount of pillowy soft, and crispy edges. I was really impressed with the naan, actually. Bread is so simple, yet it takes some skill to get such a good texture. I doused everything in the mint chutney. Mmmm. I also had some pineapple and mango, which was offered for dessert. The staff was very nice and I had a pleasant lunch, though I left stuffed to the brim. Not even really going to have dinner tonight. There was also a check-in offer that gave a 10 percent discount, which I used. Would have liked to try some Nepalese food, but that wasn't offered in the buffet. You can order off the dinner menu though.

Ethel C.

Yelp
Spicy, authentic Nepalese/Himalayan/Indo-Chinese cuisine, I've been here 3-4 times and quality has been consistently fresh and spicy for all visits. They have this amazing savory lamb and potato stuffed crepe thing (lamb dosa) that's crispy on the outside. The soft potato with chunks of lamb mix filling is really tasty- borderline comfort/spiced up food. And the little bowl of broth that comes with it: marvelous light curry with peas and other yummy veg bits. If I could have that for lunch everyday... Anyways, portions are pretty substantial but that might be cause I never pace myself properly when I get my hands on their extra hot red sauce and garlic naan. Service is efficient, and friendly/earnest. If you can't decide on a curry: try the vindaloo and just order it with your meat of choice.

Yelp
This place is pretty highly reviewed so my bf and I thought we would try it. The lamb samosas were very tasty and came out fast (we arrived around 7:45pm). We also placed an order for the goat curry and the lamb vindaloo a few minutes after placing the order for the samosas. Unfortunately the dishes did not come out until about 8:35 so we waited a LONG time. The manager (?) came by at least 3 times to let us know that it would be out soon but it really was too long of a wait. The food itself was average. Both items had a very similar tomato based sauce (which tasted mostly like tomatoes). Vindaloo does NOT taste like regular curry so that was odd. It actually ended up being sweet which was strange. Both items were VERY mild even though we ordered one medium and one extra spicy. The quality of the ingredients was quite good. I could tell that everything was fresh. It was worth a try but we are sticking to regular ole Indian food because we need SPICE!

Yelp
GARLIC NAAN: you never can go wrong with it. Great bread and garlic doesn't overpower a lot. Plus for this dish. MACCHA KO TARKARI: it's a haddock in curry sauce. I really enjoy it. It was a bit spicy for my liking but overall great dish. Comes with rice that spot on cooled perfectly! Keep in mind the menu have different selections: Indian, Nepali and Chines so it's quit a bit menu.

Yelp
Indian is my favorite kind of food to order out, but pickings are SLIM in Jamaica Plain. I can't stomach ordering Bukhara anymore, so managed to finagle my boyfriend into ordering with me so we could meet the $20 order minimum. Delivery was less prompt than I expected, but still within a reasonable time frame. I ordered Chicken Tikka Masala, hot, and vegetable samosas. My boyfriend also got Chicken Tikka Masala, but his was mild. I was impressed by the spice level of my dish. It was pretty spicy, which I'm happy about. They definitely used actual hot peppers to spice the dish, and I love the flavor they impart. The sauce was less creamy and less smooth than I am used to, but I enjoyed it. I was disappointed by the chicken which was cut into large chunks and super dry and unappetizing. The samosas were decent--more oily than I'm used to, but the filling was more diverse than just potatoes, which was cool. Overall its a fine place from my one experience with takeout but I'm pretty bothered by the chicken and also don't usually order $20+ worth of food, so I doubt I will be ordering from here again.

Yelp
Although I'm always partial to West Roxbury's Mexican and Venezuelan food, I'm down to explore new local places. This one was a win. My fiancée and I of course ordered too much food. We split the appetizer Himalayan platter. Not sure exactly what we were eating but everything was quite tasty. The chicken was a little dry but the selection of chutneys and dipping sauces that came with our other food helped. My favorite was the paneer. I got the Mixed Tandoori Grill which was chicken, lamb, and fish served with rice and a yogurt and masala sauce. Huge portion but very good. Again, on the dry side, this doesn't bother me that much but it's good to note. My fiancée got the Mixed biryani which had good flavor but it would've been too much rice for me for a main. This probably would have been good to split. The naan is of course deliciously addictive. We got garlic and then we also tried the chefs special of Cherry Naan (omg! What a new fun treat!)
