Yelp
This is, without doubt, the best Himalayan restaurant at which I have ever enjoyed eating, and that includes the best in Los Angeles, San Francisco, Chicago and New York.
We are in the midst of a cross-country drive from LA to New Hampshire, via Glacier National Park, and decided to try Himalayan Kitchen based on the positive reviews it has received here. It did not disappoint! If I could give them six stars, I would.
For those concerned that Indian-style food is too hot for their taste, rest assured that while the dishes here are highly seasoned, the chef keeps a light touch on the hot chiles. There's lots of flavor from cardamom, cumin, fenugreek and all the other spices and herbs that make food from the Indian subcontinent so special.
I particularly was pleased to see a number of goat meat dishes on the menu. That's rare today in US restaurants, but goat provides subtle differences in flavor from lamb (a close relative).
Our server was friendly and helpful. The restaurant owner was present and overseeing all operations - a delightful woman! The wine list is limited but of good quality at a reaonable price (we enjoyed a Mendoza regions Malbec from Argentina for $22.)
HIGHLY, HIGHLY recommended.!
