I reached to Chris via Instagram and he gladly welcomed us to visit the cheese factory. For shortage of time we could not see the complete process, but if one had time go between 10:00 / 11:00 or so, when start with receiving the milk and starting the cheese making process. Lasts about 2-3 hours. Ofcourse we tasted all kinds of cheese.

We visited the factory - lovely history and lovely products - we absolutely loved the honey and blackberry jam and the walnut Gouda. Chris was really courteous and showed us around

I found his page on Instagram and planned to visit it during my recent Kashmir trip. The owner is very welcoming, we were late so j requested him to keep the factory open, he asked his employees to be present for us. We did some 🧀 cheese, jam, and honey tasting, and purchased as well. I loved the plum and mulberry jam. Many flavors of cheese and jam are present here. Must visit.

Great work by the Dutch guy Chris Zandee is stitching the local Gujjar community together and making them economically better. Ably assisted by the lanky gentle Gulaam Khatana who assisted us in our purchases of jams and cheese. Due to Amarnath Yatra, we had to seek permission to go off route to hit this factory - worth it. Try their local Kashmiri Mozarella - Kalari. Nice show guys - keep it up.
