If you’re craving the authentic, flavorful, and perfectly balanced Indian food in Pacific Beach, look no further than Himalayan Spice and Savor. This new spot isn’t just good, it’s hands-down THE best Indian restaurant in Pacific Beach. Trust me. I’ve tried every single spot and this one blows them away. Every dish bursts with flavor, and the menu offers both amazing classics and unique specialties that I constantly find myself craving. The Chicken Tikka Masala and Butter Chicken are spot-on: creamy, rich, and perfectly spiced. A more unique favorite of mine is the Coconut Chicken Curry. It’s a refreshing twist that blends fragrant coconut with tender chicken in a curry sauce that smells so good that I wanna bathe in it haha. They also have an extensive selection of Indian breads which are all fuego. Especially the garlic and chili naan (Bullet Naan). It’s the perfect mix of spice, garlic, and chew; ideal for soaking up every last bit of sauce. Another reason this spot stands out is the value. The portions are good and the pricing feels just right for the quality you get. It’s hard to find restaurants in PB that strike this balance, but Himalayan Spice and Savor absolutely nails it. Pacific Beach is a super tough neighborhood for restaurants. Too many great places have come and gone. Mainly because it’s so many seasonal tourists now. But honestly, I pray to the Indian food gods this restaurant doesn’t shut down. It’s a true treasure in PB’s food scene and deserves WAY more recognition. I’m hoping it’s just because they just opened and need to work on their marketing, but the place definitely needs more customers! So please go check them out!! You won’t regret it!! Everything we tried was excellent, from start to finish. Flavorful curries, fresh naan, generous portions, and great prices. Himalayan Spice and Savor is hands down THE top Indian restaurant in Pacific Beach. Five stars all the way. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Google
Typically, I write a review when everything is really good however I took a photo and I had a coupon so it encouraged me to try. It's a new spot. It's close to home. The food was good. Nothing to raise your eyebrows. The rice was better than the protein or the sauce, which was strange. Service and the people at the front were welcoming ish.. the lady on the phone seemed like she didn't wanna put in the order to see what the price to save her time but I insisted that she should so I could see if the discount was worth it. At the end of the day the discount was worth it. I got to lunch specials, which is why there was no naan bread. It was $35 . I'm probably not gonna go back. Still gave them a pretty good score cause I'm a nice guy, but you can decide based on what I said. I'm not the only person to review, im Trying not to only leave outstanding reviews. This one's just good and that's OK. It's better than most just not spectacular. Four stars..... it would be five if the other reasons were there. You have to shine and all aspects before after and then the food of course...

Google
Came here for lunch and it was delicious!! This will be the Indian restaurant that we return to over and over. The lunch special allowed us to try 2 different things with naan, rice, and a dessert! Still thinking about that coconut curry… I recommend 100%z

Google
Was so excited for this restaurant to open up and it did not disappoint!! Really friendly waiters, generous portions, and incredibly flavorful foods. Lots of vegan and vegetarian options!! We ordered samosa chaat, cheese naan, paneer tikki masala, and gobi Manchurian. Mango lassi also slapped.

Google
So happy PB finally has a good Indian food spot. We ordered take out and the portion sizes were generous. The lamb in our tikki masala was tender and the butter chicken was delicious. We ordered mild and mild plus because I don’t love dishes that are too spicy and thought the mild plus was perfect. Could even go medium spice next time. The veggie samosa also was great. The naan was good but we have had better - maybe dine in tastes fresher. We will definitely be making this a regular spot. Can’t wait to return.

Google
We ordered online for takeout and it was ready for pick up pretty quickly. We ordered the palak paneer & chicken vindaloo. They came with rice and were generously filled! They were also perfectly packaged to transport with a Saran Wrap protection Which is always greatly appreciated. We ordered the paneer mild and it was excellent . Super fluffy cubes of cheese in a well spiced and not overly creamy sauce. The chicken vindaloo was ordered hot and it was on point. Perfectly spicy and seasoned & well balanced with the meat & potatoes. 11/10 recommend.

Google
Great tasting food. Food serving time: 20+ mins Food order: Chicken Biryani (4.7/5) - it was so good that we took some for the next day too. Loved the raita that came with it, was fresh. Mix veg tikka (4.5/5) - ordered medium spicy, was packed with different veggies and well cooked. Taste of the gravy/ curry was a little bit on the sweeter side and everything went well together. This came with fragrant white rice. Laccha paratha (4/5) - nice and buttery Service: great, very intuitive staff Parking: plenty Washroom: clean

Google
I’ve been waiting for this place to open and it didn’t disappoint! Large portions, delicious and priced well! Large side of Rice was included with each entree too which is appreciated.

Yelp
This gem of a spot reminded me of a place in the Bay Area that specialized in their curries and their naan bread. I would say five out of five I will come here again and I would definitely get the butter chicken and the chicken tiki masala because those---like many places are their staple dishes. The chicken tiki masala was sweet enough, but not too sweet that overpowered the dish itself and the butter chicken was pretty creamy, but also again not as creamy as other places. The naan bread was fresh and tasted crunchy and soft at the same time which is what you want in this bread. I opted for the garlic naan. Just a disclaimer, I took this to go, and I was pleasantly surprised by the flavor that kept despite me eating this probably an hour later. There was plenty in the dishes that they gave, and they also have lunch specials, which I got to do. overall fair price for the amount of food that you get and the location so go for the Himalayan spice and savor and try this new place out.

Yelp
A longtime Thai cuisine joint in the Pacific Plaza of PB has been replaced by this new Himalayan/Indian restaurant. The owner has several other similar eateries in SD County including one that recently debuted earlier this year in the Serra Mesa neighborhood. The suite could seat about 50 customers across several booths along the walls and tables in the middle of the dining room. The decor was revamped to reflect the South Indian culture. The two-sided menu sheet was almost an exact replica of its brethren in Serra Mesa. Each of the items was numbered and exceeded over 100 choices. No photos were available, however there was a description for each offering. There was only one other party seated when I arrived. For my meal, I selected the Palak Lamb with white basmati rice. This was pieces of boneless lamb simmered in creamed spinach seasoned with mild spices. I also ordered some plain naan for more carbs to soak up the sauce. A complimentary cup of dal (lentil) soup was provided while I waited for my food. The serving size of the entree was good for the price. The spinach was very creamy, but some more lamb pieces were needed as the ratio of meat to sauce was a bit off. Other than that, the dish was cooked fine while the rice and naan were as expected. I didn't see a lunch buffet station setup like the other place had. Perhaps that may be coming in the near future? My dining experience at Himalayan Spice & Savor Indian Cuisine was at a level between four and five stars.

Yelp
Very flavorful, curry was filled to the very top. I also got the garlic naan. Had to save half of everything because I was stuffed. Made it worth the price. Got this order thru GrubHub so I don't know how it is inside the restaurant but my partner and I plan to visit soon.

Yelp
I am so so so happy that we now not only have an Indian restaurant in the area, but a great one! The naan was probably one of the best I've had. The flavors of each dish were immaculate. Service was nice and easy and good prices. I will definitely be back to try more of the menu - they have an expansive menu. The spice is legit...we got an 8 out of 10 and it definitely had quite the kick!! We will also be toning that down to a 6 or 7 next time and we have a high tolerance.
google avatar

Bilal O.

Yelp
The food was great, but the waiter was really rude. I don't think I will go there because of that.
google avatar

Ashley c.

Yelp
The food was phenomenal. I ordered the palak paneer, garlic naan and chicken tandori appetizer. I will definitely be coming back.

Scott H.

Yelp
Went there on a Sunday afternoon. Promptly seated -- very courteous wait staff. Cozy decor. Huge menu! I had read that the butter chicken was good, so I ordered it. It was BETTER than good -- it was amazing! Everything we ordered was perfect! This will be a regular stop for us!
google avatar

K F.

Yelp
Delicious Indian. The Tikka Masala was so good, slightly different than normal with an intoxicating buttery vibe. My husband said it's the best he's ever had. Will definitely be back.
google avatar

Yelp
Amazing food! This is my favorite Indian cuisine restaurant in San Diego. I ordered the paneer tikka masala & naan. The entree had so much flavor & the paneer was the perfect texture. The rice is an amazing portion too. I thought the naan was soft, flavorful, and delicious. Some places the naan is too charred & this one was perfect. I loved the portions overall, definitely feel it was worth my money. I'll definitely be recommending this & coming again! I ordered takeout but I would like to sit here sometime, there is a lot of parking as this is part of a plaza. Service was friendly as well.
google avatar

Jennifer G.

Yelp
So yummy! As a vegetarian, the Navratan Korma is delicious! And my boyfriend really liked his Chicken Tikka Masala. We're SO happy to have this very good Indian food nearby.

Melissa S.

Yelp
I met my son here for lunch and I'm so glad he picked this place out .. the food was phenomenal, the service was great and the place was so clean and comfortable.. I'm definitely gonna go back again.
google avatar

Lillian S.

Yelp
We ordered pickup from this spot a few weeks back and absolutely loved it! We got the chicken tikka & the lamb biryani with a side garlic naan. Everything was so flavorful, fresh & great portion sizes. I cannot wait to order from here again. Great new addition to this area of PB
google avatar

Sami S.

Yelp
Very tasty and authentic. Decent pricing too. It's not available on door dash but worth the pick up
google avatar

Saul O.

Yelp
We enjoyed every dish we had . The garlic naan, the salmon, palak panner, etc. The price is very reasonable, the service courteous and professional. We will be back soon.

Yelp
Wonderful Indian food, very authentic and flavorful!! We tried a number of dishes and they were all very good. The service was excellent, loved the personal attention. This newer restaurant in PB on garnet is tucked into a corner in the Vons shopping center, so plenty of parking. Go & support this local restaurant, you won't regret it.

Frank W.

Yelp
We enjoyed the chicken vindaloo, chicken tikka kebab, garlic naan, aloo paratha, pakora's and the veggie samosa's. Portion sizes were good and prices are reasonable. The service also was very good. Looking forward to trying some more things next time we're in the mood for Indian.

Anna R.

Yelp
Picked up momos as a little treat and they were super good, just a tad on the saltier side, but wasn't a deal breaker. Next time I'll ask for another sm container of the sauce. Will definitely try other items next time.

Cher M.

Yelp
Don't get your hopes up. To go order. Onion Bhaji and mixed vegetable Pakora were over fried and tasteless. Only good dish was the cheese naan. Ordered Veggie Mulligatawny and received Chicken. Mistakes and it took 30 minutes to get.

Yelp
Just tried Himalayan spice and savour for the first time this week. It was so good. I got the mango chicken, the vegetable, biranyi rice and the peshwari naan ! The portions were very generous. I came home and had three more meals and it was all delicious. Real chunks of fresh juicy chicken, delicious mango and a wonderful sauce and the rice was so flavorful with lots of vegetables The nan bread was perfect with coconut and cherries inside it went really well with the spice level 4 dishes. My new favorite Indian restaurant can't wait to bring friends here!

Patrick B.

Yelp
This place was a bit hard to find. Tucked away in the back of a plaza. However...as a person who grew up around a lot of Indians and Middle Eastern people, this is by far the MOST delicious curry I've had in YEARS. The Lamb Vindaloo at a 5-6 spice was more than I expected but very palatable. Whatever you do, if you EVER decide to get Indian....you better damn well come here.

Jenny F.

Yelp
10/31/25 Delicious, very tasty, do not pass this up! Salmon tikka tandoori, chicken vindaloo & tandoori, basmati rice and chicken momos- to go

Tre F.

Yelp
I am a long time local and saw this new Indian place opened up. The food, service and ambiance are great. If you looking for good Indian food in PB, this place is it.

Nicola J.

Yelp
The portions were generous and the food delicious! Best Indian food that I have had in San Diego by far!

Jennifer C.

Yelp
Great food. There were tons of vegetarian options. Everything was tasty. Glad to have this place in PB
google avatar

Marvin P.

Yelp
Wrote the review mid bite. The food is wonderful. Amazing flavors! The staff were amazing and very accommodating. So happy to have this place in PB. Will be coming here regularly.

Glenn M.

Yelp
Excellent experience, food, service and good ambience. Unusually good spices in the dishes we tried. Palak aloo, and coconut lamb were delicious. At a previous visit we had the lamb chops, perfectly cooked - really tasty. Prices are very reasonable - including $5 Indian beers. Plain naan was perfect, but the cheese naan was a bit damp - probably mozzarella is not the best cheese for this - maybe try jack cheese. Service is very attentive, but as it's a newer restaurant - opened at this location in 2025, not many tables were occupied. The ambience is nice, but not special or romantic.

Tim T.

Yelp
Second time here. First time was just ok second time worse. Garlic naan hard and not tasty. Veg samosa this time so so salty. Couldn't eat. Chicken kabobs ok but would t get again. Wife for paneer and said so so. There a better Indian place in PB that we enjoy.
google avatar

Nikki C.

Yelp
The food is delicious. We ordered several items from the menu and each one was flavorful and fresh. The service was attentive and informative. The ambiance was very comfortable and clean. This place is a great addition to the neighborhood.

Yelp
The food was incredible!!!! 10/10 recommend coming here. The food was hot and fresh and the service was the greatest we've had while visiting San Diego. Will be coming back to visit this restaurant. Thanks for experiencing.

Noemi F.

Yelp
Best Palak Lamb and garlic naan we've ever had!!!! Not from the area but came early to see a concert at the Sound and drove 30 mins from the Bird Sanctuary to come here and it was worth it!!! I would definitely come back just get those two items. The butter chicken was amazing too!! I did not think my husband and I would get full when I saw the food come out but we walked out so stuffed. We will definitely be back whenever we are in the area again!!

Haley D.

Yelp
I ordered food to go right when they opened and it was soo good. I got the palak paneer and garlic naan and the flavor was amazing. Everyone was helpful and friendly. Can't wait to come back!

Kelli J.

Yelp
Some of the best food I've ever had. After they opened, I came here three nights in one week because the food is just that good. The staff are lovely, it's a cute intimate little space, and everything is delicious.

Olivia B.

Yelp
Delicious! The best Indian food I've had in San Diego, try the samosa chaat! Everything was super flavourful, we sat in and definitely would be back for takeout!

simran k.

Yelp
People with melanin be aware that this place is RACIALLY BIASED . We were the only people with melanin at this restaurant and even though 6-8 more tables came after us, they got their food ready before us. We waited for at least 45 minutes and the moment we started asking for the check for our drinks, our food started getting ready. The servers kept on saying, "the kitchen got really busy all of a sudden", and I understand that. However, 6-8 tables after us got their food before us. They were the pretty quick about collecting our money, they didn't wait any time in doing that. This place is full of racism!

Alan C.

Yelp
Excellent food and service and pleasant atmosphere. Also reasonable wine list. Also excellent preparation for our party of eight.

Jerell O.

Yelp
This place opened up next door to my barber and I hadn't eat yet before my haircut. So after my cut I decided to give this spot a shot, and I like to support new places. They were very polite and attending. Gave me complimentary chickpea soup to start off. Then I ordered and food came out quick, like within 10-15 minutes. The servers constantly filled my water which was nice as I tend to inhale my food and have to drink a lot haha. But after I finished they gave me a complimentary dessert to end it nicely! Probably going to be my go to spot after a haircut... I love Indian food!

Tor Z.

Yelp
We got takeout and let me tell you it was delish !! Flavors were bright, bold, and balanced. Proteins had great moisture, tenderness, and seasoning. I ate quite a large quantity of food, but I didn't feel gross or greasy, which is a good sign. I will return here without a doubt.

Sanford B.

Yelp
They will serve you outside in the shared public dining space. Huge portions, good food, but not a full Himalayan/Nepalese menu
google avatar

Katie R.

Yelp
Yum! We ordered the vegetable momo (dumplings), butter chicken, lamb shahi korma (almond cashew sauce), and garlic chili naan and everything was delicious! So much flavor to each dish and decent portions. Very authentic and good atmosphere. Will be coming back!

Beth S.

Yelp
Excellently spiced food and service. The best naan in San Diego. A hidden gem in Pacific Beach.

Angel S.

Yelp
Absolutely amazing. Everything we ordered we loved, and the portions were quite shareable. All around amazing food and will definitely be coming back to try more. Service was also great and very attentive! You can tell in my photo I couldn't even wait for the pic, I just started to eat!!

Riggi A.

Yelp
Food was great very authentic. The ambiance in this place made me feel like the food was going to be good. The service hit home as soon as we sat down we knew it was going to be good. Persian and Paki approved in every aspect. Love we live so close to this new hidden gem.

Brian D.

Yelp
great food, the naan was fresh and the service was good. only wish was that my dish had more chicken because it was so good and mostly sauce (I could drink that sauce regardless just wanted a little bit more meat) overall 4.5/5

Betty M.

Yelp
lunch specials are the best value and amount of food... two of us got two different dishes each and were able to share everything and still able to bring home something. My daughter had my leftovers and now I have to go back and get some more..... service was EXCELLENT and very friendly...HIGHLY RECOMMEND

Ann W.

Yelp
Finally Pacific Beach has an Indian food restaurant worthy of allegiance. The food, especially the sauces, is incredible. Spiced perfectly and very large portions. Garlic naan, biryani, tikka masal, samosas, all delicious. We've only done take-out so far, but I'm hoping to get there in person soon.

Ira Danielle S.

Yelp
Food tastes really really good! I will always come back for the Chicken Biryani. Serving portion is big Staffs are very helpful. 100% must try!!

Chelsea R.

Yelp
Would definitely recommend. Great food, great service. Malai kofta was excellent and the garlic naan was very fresh and tasty. I'll be back.

Sam S.

Yelp
Such a great addition to PB! Service was excellent and the food was delicious! I had the Chicken Tikka Skewers and they were juicy and flavorful. The onion, peppers, and lemon rounded everything out for a tasty meal! I will definitely be coming back! :)

Diane J.

Yelp
Best new restaurant in PB! Been looking for a new place to replace my World Curry fix and this is it! Very delicious and authentic. Restaurant is beautiful and clean and service was superior. Will come here often!
