HipBurger

This was our first trip to a HipBurger. I got the burger bowl, and my husband got the bacon burger and parmesan fries. Everything tasted very good! The indoor dining area was ok, but for some reason, our table was shaking the whole time. 🤔

Found this place while out of town for work. Absolutely delicious burgers. Enjoyed the fries with cheese and bacon. Fast delicious food. Friendly staff.

I had a problem with my order I ordered a cheeseburger which was good not great but good and I had their garlic parmesan fries which were room temperature and when I tried calling them nobody answers the phone I get an AI I leave a message and no one returns to call . It was my first and more than likely my last time for me and my family ever going to that restaurant . Their food is definitely Superior to McDonald's or Burger King or Wendy's but the service is terrible . When you have a problem and you can't get through to anybody it really becomes very frustrating and makes me not want to ever go back . I've left them two messages already and they do not return the call . Well I should have amended this review last week because one of the managers named Dawson did call me and they actually more than made up for the one problem that I had . I went back there the next day after hearing from their manager and they replaced my meal and this time everything was excellent . The burger was amazing and their garlic parmesan fries were really ,really good so I'll definitely be going back again .

This place is a must! Try the Burger bowl! Shout out to Ryan - outstanding service! Friendly and helpful. We will be back! Loved seeing kitchen crew working together, cheerful and putting out great food. And yes, they have grilled jalapeños. Over the top...food, music, service. If the owner reads this - give these young people a raise or bonus for sure!

Paid $15 for a double burger and garlic parm fries. Waited in line for 30 minutes and received enough fries to satisfy a small infant. There is less air in a bag of doritos than I had in my fry box. Used to be worth it, now I'm not so sure.

Food was phenomenal and service was amazing. Came with my wife and kids after Boo at the Zoo and it really added to the overall experience. The garlic parm fries are delicious and the smash burgers exceeded our expectations. We are excited to have a place as good as this one around. Highly recommended 😊

For $13, this just seems like a super small portion of food. The bowl is barely half full. It is smaller than any salad I’ve ever ordered as a main dish. It was also so heavily covered in sauce it was hard to eat. This is our first bad experience with this restaurant, but I definitely will not order this specific menu item again.

Stopped by for dinner on a whim, and was very pleased with the food. The burgers are of the smashburger variety, and they have a good char on them. I liked that the garlic parmesan fries are balanced and not overwhelmingly garlic-forward. Service was fast and friendly. I'll have to try the chicken next time.

Stopped in for something on a roadtrip and got lucky!!! Superb burger. Exactly what I was looking for. Great service that was quick. Left no room for complaints!

I don't know what took us so long to try HipBurger but so glad we did!! Best fast food burger place in Greenville. WAY BETTER than Whataburger!!! Burgers were fresh and cooked perfectly. Fries were good especially the bacon cheese fries. Great sweet tea also! The place was clean and the employees were very friendly. This will definitely be our go to for good fast food.

This has been my family's go to for fast food burger and fries! We like the bacon burgers and garlic parm fries!

Burger tasted like it had been sitting for a while. Cheese didn't even look freshly melted. Fries had a strong aftertaste of either oil or something else. Maybe it was the day i chose to come, it was a slow day which is probably why quality was down.

Everyone deserves a second chance. Was driving by the area and thought I'd give HipBurger another run. Today I went with their best seller - Double HipBurger w/cheese. Fries and Strawberry Shake. First the good news. Look at picture #1. I ordered my burger the way it comes (lettuce, onion, tomato and Hip Sauce) BUT minus the tomato. My bill had a -.20 credit!!!! They took money off my bill because I removed produce. Now that's AMAZING!!! Love it. Kudos. Now, the bad. Last time I got a single, a double and chicken sandwich. I also did it fairly late at night and drove through and ate it in my car. This time it was lunch hour and I went inside to order, sit and eat. Service was quick and friendly. Burger LOOKED solid. Unfortunately, the dry, dry, dry complaint from my last review was simply confirmed. The ugly. The fries, my shining star of the last review (above avg) were horrible. Not hot, not fresh, and take a look at the size/quality of them. Silly little nubs of fries. Lots of brown and shriveled ones. Just blah. Finally the shake. Meh. A little too icy. Not creamy. Inconsistent strawberry flavor. Very glad I was coming home from a business trip because my company paid for this mediocre lunch which ended up in the trash less than half eaten. I wanted to save room for my next meal. Sorry HipBurger lovers. Too many other burgers around. 2nd time is last for me.

I convinced my daughter to stop here and let me try a double cheeseburger even though we'd just finished lunch elsewhere! I normally wouldn't do this; but I had to try one of their highly touted burgers. This is my conclusion: 5 star,5 star, 5 star! This the best one I've ever had! They have no close competition in my area! I love it!

Hands down the best fast food burger in Greenville. From what I've heard it is also locally owned which I love. The burgers taste homemade. The garlic Parmesan cheese fries are so yummy.

I really enjoyed HipBurger. I love the double cheese. The house sauce is very good. I really enjoy the house sauces at places. Give it a try you will like it. I hope.

This is my absolute favorite burger. It's cooked to order with perfectly crispy edges. The Hip Burger sauce is awesome. It comes on the burger but it's so juicy it isn't necessary. I order it on the side and use it on the fries. You won't be disappointed at this burger place!

Finally had the chance to visit HipBurger and it was definitely worth the hype! I went around 8:30PM on a Friday night and there was no line in the drive-thru, perfect! I ordered a double cheeseburger (based on the yelp reviews, I heard the single was a little smaller) and man did I make the right decision! It was DELICIOUS! It tasted like the patty just came off the grill and it was so hot I knew it had to be fresh! The bun was sweet, fluffy, and buttery! The toppings were fresh and I loved the hipsauce, next time I am going to ask for heavy sauce. I also had an order of the crinkle fries, they were also hot and fresh but could have use a tad more seasoning. Next time I plan on trying the garlic parm fries I keep reading so much about. I will say, for a burger spot, it is a tad on the pricey side but now i understand why I paid almost $9 for a fast food cheeseburger. Can't wait to come back and try the chicken options! #JassyJEatsApproved

I've stopped at this burger spot a few times. Mainly because of convenience and not taste. The burgers are good. Puts me in the mind of Wendy's. They have their special sauce which is good. They have various toppings for fries, like melted cheese, bacon and cheese, Parmesan. I've had bacon and cheese and the Parmesan before. They are good as well. Omg, their sweet tea and lemonade drink is always delicious! I've never been inside but it looks decent. Drive thru service has always been great. Never encountered an issue there or with my order.

The food is always fresh and accurate. It's clean. The music isn't too loud, in my opinion, and it's catchy music. The wait has never been too long either the few times I've visited.

Nice and simple menu without all the fuss. I like that they open earlier than most burger restaurants. The place is clean and updated. I got the hipburger with bacon and i did the upcharge for the garlic parm fries. I got my daughter the kids nugget and fries and I got my husband a to go chick deluxe and fries. The burger was good. The meat was tender and the bread was very soft. I do agree with people on the fries that it's not crispy at all. It's super soft and squishy. I prefer my fries to be crispy. The kids nuggets were really good. Meaty portions at a good price. The chick deluxe was just ok. I got it go to and by the time I got home, the cheese still wasn't melted and it doesn't even look like real cheese more like kraft cheese but I could be wrong. I do like this place and like that the menu is simple.

Came here because it was close to my hotel while out of town and the menu looked amazing! Let's get into it. Parking - has its own parking lot and a drive through. I didn't go inside just drove through today so nothing crazy. Outside of the place was so cute (see pictures ) Menu: They had assortments of food. From burgers( single , double, triple) , chicken sandwiches, nuggets, fries (cheese, chili , garlic parm and milkshakes! If you ever been to a whatabutger or in in out this is their child (no spicy ketchup tho boooo ) I had the grilled chicken and garlic parmesan crinkle fries. It was amazing. Tasted fresh. Was hot had some type of sauce on the bottom, totally didn't question it. But good. The fries were so good didn't need ketchup but my bag needed all the napkins from the fry greases on the bottom. If I'm ever back in town I would try this place again. Maybe the fried chicken sandwich next (the famous sandwich wars going on we shall see ).

Food was good but the portion size versus price didn't add up. I did like it but at the price I felt I could have gone to a better restaurant.

Super fresh burgers with my favorite style of fry- crinkle cut! Their butter bun is very light and flavorful too. However sad to say the restaurant now gets 3 stars instead of 5 because of our most recent visit. While eating in the dining area with my 9 year old son, Sublime came over the speakers. It was a song that was not clean or edited and the f word came over the sound system. My son heard it loud and clear. When I was asked about my experience, I relayed this to the worker. They proceeded to hit replay and play the song a second time - f word and all. Needless to say I'm shocked this is how they chose to rectify the issue!

After a day visiting Greenville we just needed a place to grab a burger for the road. What a fabulous surprise to find this DELICIOUS burger and fries!!!! We will plan this stop into our next trip. Also, someone please open a HipBurger in Jefferson, GA!!!

This is a cool burger spot, something we stumbled on just driving around greenville. We stopped in and while it's not the most extravagant burger... it is darn good! They have smash style patties, so think crispy around the edges and thin. They are very fresh and you can taste that which is a plus. Burger comes with standard toppings and "Hip Sauce", just love everyone's standard burger sauce these days, but it is tasty. I'd almost say ask for extra honestly. I also tried the Parmesan garlic fries. Mostly just Parmesan, but I'm a cheese guy so no complaints from me lol. Maybe next time I'll try to chicken sandwich. Great quick bite!

I really, really wanted this burger to be awesome. Yes, I saw the long lines when it opened and so I waited until the day came that I was nearby, hungry and the crowd was reasonable - yesterday was that day. We did the drive through. Service was quick, polite, efficient and pleasant. Their goal is "Serve with Excellence" and they did achieve the goal with the drive thru service. I ordered the original Hipburger with jalapeno's and a side of Boardwalk Fries. As others have described, the burger patty is cooked "smash" style and it is thin and cooked well enough done to be crispy. I had also ordered a double for my son and the double is a couple of dollars more, but it is more along the portion size that I would have preferred. Really the patty size is more akin to a regular McDonald's hamburger patty. They do use fresh leaf lettuce, tomato, grilled onion and Hipsauce. The Hipsauce is a sweet burger sauce that reminds me of mayonnaise, ketchup and some sweet pickle juice. It is too sweet for my taste on the burger but my son really liked it on his double. The presentation is in what looks like a fries bag from other fast food places and the fries themselves are served in a paper "boat." But they were terrible. The concept is thinner, matchstick type fries. Which would be great if they were actually fried crispy. Instead, my order was either fried in oil that was not up to temperature or they had sat long enough to steam into a limp mass. And they really were a limp mass. So, overall not a good experience but not terrible, however it was not compelling me to return for another try. The burger market is crowded with much better and more economical options.

I absolutely love this place! I'm always looking for a great smash burger & Hip Burger delivered! The staff was friendly & efficient. The burgers & fries were amazing! Much better than other burger joints. This is definitely my go-to for fresh delicious burgers. You will not be disappointed!

Had lunch here today with friends. At first glance, it did not seem very neat - several of the tables were dirty - but they were cleaned up shortly after I arrived, more of a timing issue. That being said, you don't go to a fast food hamburger joint for tidiness, you go there for a burger. And the burger was very, very good. Cannot swear it was my favorite burger, but it was right up there at the top of the list. The fries were very good too. Plus, the cost was reasonable. So, bottom line, I will be having more of these burgers and I suggest you do as well. One more thing, the staff was very friendly...which is not very common these days!

This place was so hyped up and people said it was like In N Out. Being a Californian that was absolute nonsense. The burgers were extremely greasy, dripping grease as you ate, which ended up puddling in the paper. So much so you had to fold up the edges to lift it off the table to keep from dripping. The shakes are said to be premium ice cream but both the chocolate and strawberry are made with a mix and you can see swirls and clumps at the bottom of the cup. I hate leaving a negative review, in fact this is my first, but definitely disappointed.

We been here a couple of times already and it was always a good experience for us. Love the burgers, light and airy almost like we ate a "healthy" burger. People compare it to in and out, definitely not! We also try their shakes but I rather get it from chick fila or five guys instead. Definitely will return back because of the burgers not making us feel sluggish after eating.

This is ABSOLUTELY THE BEST burger I've ever had in my life. Their fries are out of this world. Crispy but still soft. Get the Parmesan garlic fries!!! They're the burger and fries of my dreams. The sweet tea is amazing. Honestly, just the quick fast food meal of my dreams. I would eat here all the time if it wasn't unhealthy for me. I love love loveeeee Hip Burger. The chicken sandwich is good too! Very crispy and moist. The nuggets are pretty good but more on the dry side to me so I don't prefer it over the burger or the chicken sandwich. Update 12/3/20: I got the nuggets again and they were super delicious this time. Super crunchy but still juicy. The nuggets are a must get for me now.

This is my favorite fast food place. I wish that there was more of these. The service is fast and the restaurant is always clean.

We waited in a super long drive thru line but of course we knew it was going to be long. So happy to be one of the first locals to check it out. We ordered a little of everything. All were great. The milkshakes are a little runnier than I am used to around here but the machine works so that's a great thing. Shoestring fries bestill my heart. Worth it!!!

This place just opened up a couple weeks ago and they used to be a popular food truck in the area. There was a lot of buzz around this place as it was being built. I heard through friends that opening day was super busy in restaurant and drive through as well. That's gotta tell you the following HipBurger has already. So my friend and I went here and I got the Hip chicken sandwich which I say is very comparable to Chick fil A's and maybe better. The "Hip" sauce comes already on the burger and it is delicious!! It also comes with pickles, tomatoes, lettuce and cheese. The combo comes with a drink and shoestring fries which were perfectly crispy and not overly greasy. My friend got a Hip burger combo with an order if the chicken nuggets. She let me try her burger and in just one bite I definitely liked it as well. Will def have to come back to get my own. The chicken nuggets were so good! They were perfectly cooked and oober delicious. The menu is simple and the service was quick. The employees were nice and helpful when needed. I will definitely be coming back to try more items and to enjoy past items bc they were just that good. You should totally come out and try it for yourself.

So hip to be HipBurger. The food truck gone brick and mortar recently opened right off of Interstate 385 on Butler Rd in Mauldin. Opening Day was crazy and the lines haven't really let up since. Be fully prepared to wait in a long drive through line and expect to find it hard to find parking. There are not many spots in their lot but you may be able to park next door. Check the signs to be sure. I have been back once since opening day already. Both times the Original HipBurger was heaven. Perfectly cooked, juicy, quality bun, and that burger sauce was top notch! I didn't even add ketchup either time because it was that good. The HipChicken sandwich was also cooked perfectly. The breading was nice and crisp, chicken was juicy, and the season overall was well balanced. I'd prefer a little less zest but it's still great none the less. Chicken nuggets were a deal! Perfectly cooked just like I described above for the HipChicken. My one regret is that the French fries were soggy both opening day and last week. Opening day, I was third in line and I would have fully expected them to be crispy and not soggy. The flavor was there both times but still not cooked right. I'll probably give them a pass next time unless they've since perfected their process. The milkshake machine was out so I haven't had the chance to try them yet. Overall a solid experience from another great food truck to store front business. Plan ahead and check them out!

We were NOT having a great day - Stopped at Hipburger and we were missing a burger- my wife was angry when she called but Dawson the manager was AWESOME! I did return to the restaurant where they were so kind making things right and then some! Thank u Dawson and thanks to your whole staff! AND THE BURGERS WERE GREAT!!

This is the best place for a fast food burger in the Greenville area. It's very similar to a popular chain out of New York but I think it is probably better. Excellent burgers with great sauce on them. The fries are great, especially with the toppings. You will not be disappointed in your visit.

Super impressed! Simple but done right!!!! Everything is fresh and cooked perfectly! I will be back! I love the menu is not confusing and not over priced or over exotic! My burger was perfect! I was just driving thru Mauldin and saw it so I stopped. You guys are on to something! Keep it up! Drive thru was fast and efficient and the staff were full of smiles!

The chicken sandwich at this place is one of the best. But since they changed from boardwalk fries (which were the best) to crinkle fries which are hardly tolerable compared to boardwalk. The crinkle fries may seem delicious but really it's not. The boardwalk fries were half the reason I come. My family will probably never come again.

Was lured in by the Hip Advertising and glad we pulled off the exit.... Very flavorful fries the kids enjoyed, but we all found it strange they don't have a kids burger options and only grilled cheese and chicken nuggets. The nuggets my daughter got were good and shaped like Chick-fil-a with less flavor. The burgers were exceptional and would have be coming back. Every bite was extremely tasty. The bread is similar to a Hawaiian roll with less sweetness and the burger is thin and reminds me of a cross between shake shack and In and Out. The Hip sauce they use for the burger is a nice flavor as well. The decor is cool and people friendly would repeat if I drove past one again for sure!

We had the singles with fies and beverages. The food was good , not exceptional. We ate inside. The service was acceptable. The restaurant was fairly clean. We were very annoyed with the loud music over their sound system which had music that had terrible lyrics....I would be embarrassed to have children with me considering the language used in the music. Don't know if we will be back as there are much better fast food places, i.e. Culvers, Cookout.....

Small menu but full of flavor! Great prices and friendly staff. I enjoy the salad with hamburger but also the grilled cheese. My food is always fresh and if you're new, they explain how things works. I've never been inside but if it's anything like the drive thru experience, I recommend.

It was good, I had the cheese burger. Beacon cheese fires. Chicken nuggets and grilled cheese. The bun is super soft and the burger was good but I had to add grilled jalapeños to add alittle more kick to the burger. The restaurant was very clean and frwsh lemonade was good too. I enjoyed my meal here.

It was pretty good.. fast service and good food.. Burgers were fresh and chicken was hot and fresh!!! Wasn't a fan of the fries tho!!! I recommend you try!!!

Used to travel all over the Upstate to track down their Food Truck, now it's Brick and Mortar just off 385 on Butler, near Mauldin HS. Long line in the drivethru even well after lunch hour. Short line inside, employees all masked, several guests not. The Double Hipburger is simply the best in town. As close as you're going to get to Shake Shack or In and Out without getting on a plane. Fries were cold, but let's just mark that up to working out the kinks in a new resto. You gotta go.

What makes this place great is the incredible group of kind, considerate, responsible young people working there. They smiled as they greeted us and it felt sincere. Someone ordered food at the very last minute before closing and this crew had no complaints. They prepared that meal with the same professionalism as they would have the first order of the day. I just cannot say enough about this refreshing experience. For those on the closing crew June 17, 2023- YOU ROCK! Thank you!!

GRAND OPENING So excited about this brick and mortar. Have supported HipBurger food truck for what seems like years and I must say #HipMaster nailed it with his idea, business plan and food. I, fortunately, was able to attend the grand opening today and I have one word...consistency. The food is exactly the same as the food truck, but with more options (combos). Service was also amazing during grand opening even though the in house and drive through lines were out the door and wrapped around the building. A few nice touches are plug in stations at most (if not all) tables and a hand washing station outside of the restroom area. Congrats to #HipMaster and the HipBurger team. Well deserved!!

Decided to try this place out. Did drive through. Was about a 20 minute wait. (6:30 pm) Monday night. I had read many reviews and thought others were being overly critical or maybe it was the usual growing pains issues with opening a new business. So with that in mind, I tried to keep an open mind, and stay positive. I tried the nuggets, they are trying too hard to imitate a chicken only place that will remain nameless. Needless to say, the nuggets had a strange texture, and taste, not a fan. They were better than your typical cheap fast food chains, but definitely not great, would not get them again. The hip burger all the way w/hip sauce. It's a smashed burger, kinda dry, w/yellow American cheese, hip sauce L,T. On a toasted buttered bun. Again, not much flavor, burger was kinda dry, bland, hip sauce was ok, I think mayo, ketchup and mustard would have been better. I honestly still prefer "5 guys" hands down best burger, value! I tried to order a vanilla shake, but their ice cream machine was broken? Lastly.. what most others complained about.. the fries!! Their menu states they are fresh hand cut fries, what they fail to mention, is they are shoestring.. which can make for very soggy fries if not cooked perfectly. Which seems to be what is happening. My experience w/making, and eating fresh cut fries is they must first be blanched, then the blanched fries are cooked to order. However, usually they are a much thicker cut, not shoestring, which I'm guessing is contributing to them becoming soggy so easily? Yes, mine too were soggy, and just overall not what I was expecting based on the menu description. I like to support local businesses, and hope they can work on improving their quality of food and being consistent. However, I wonder if most of the draw for HipBurger was based on their food truck concept, going to crowds of hungry people who were drinking beer, and just needed something to help soak up the alcohol and it fit that bill very well? Only time will tell.

Great burgers and delicious fries! Definitely try the parmesan fries along with the regular crinkle fries... so good!
