Hippie Kitchen Good Food Stand

Amazing place to eat where there is a good atmosphere, great staff and amazing food. My family and I went to eat there yesterday and were charmed by the place. They make everything from scratch, so the food takes a little longer, but it is well worth the wait! They have food for all dietary restrictions and choices and everything is delicious!

Hippie Kitchen is open for dine in and going above and beyond for precautions. Menus are posted on the walls in large print (no need to touch menus), order at counter, and pick up food at a different counter makes it easy to keep distant. Tables are spread out and the restaurant is clean. The food was really fresh. I prefer a little more spice for breakfast tacos but they had Sriracha and spicy pickled vegetables available. They have a TON of variety; there's something for everyone. Would definitely go back.

I was so glad to find this place! I am a vegan and most of my other family members just eat anything so I had to find a place that's like a middle ground, and this place was a hit. Everything was delicious! The things that weren't pictures were the hippie chips and the chicken salad.

I was looking for a more healthier option, and stumbled across this place. By the way, it's very easy to miss. It's tucked away right off of Jefferson Hwy in-between Race Trac and the overpass... The ordering system is pretty cool... You just open the little window, order, and pay for your food with no human interaction. I was pleasantly surprised!! I got the Sweetwater sandwich and a house salad with lemon vinaigrette. The lady who brought my food was really sweet as well! Give this locally owned place a try!!

Just a few miles from New Orleans, this little spot has a host of breakfast and lunch foods. Both vegan and meat meals are available. The food took a very long time, and was a bit bland. The service was very good, though, and our waiter was super helpful and nice. I had the Kombucha tea and spicy chicken sandwhich. The sandwhich didn't have much taste for me, but the tea was very good. My fiance had the Pastrami sandwhich, which he felt was a little too salty, but I personally liked it. My mother-in-law had the Golden Wrap - by far the best thing we had! I will definitely go again someday.

Drove an hour to eat here. No inside seating. :( on the side of a busy street. Wish them luck but why not let people know this before they get here. Don't bring your small kids. Only a couple of benches to sit on. Barely any parking. On a very close to a busy road. Not even a fenced in area. Might be good for local walk-up. Had to leave due to lack of tables and having kids and pups with us. Still wonder about the food.

From the food to atmosphere, HK nola is an amazing experience. I had the Mali's meatballs. Everything about it was made with the freshest ingredients, I can only describe it as absolutely great. The art work is just as awsome as the food. I definitely recommend trying this place out. Service was also on point. Will definitely come back here.

Great food. I went before the brunch rush and it was empty. I felt a little weird being the only customer in a restaurant that’s so highly rated. It was worth it. The food had flavor and the bartender was talkative but not overbearing. It’s hard to find a great place that isn’t in the city. This is it.

This place is awesome! Good, clean (allergy friendly) food, great service. My wife has an extensive list of allergies and they are great about accommodating them. Food is delicious too--we love the Phoenix and Super Roll especially. We eat here about once a week-highly recommend!

Had several sips before we remembered to snap a photo - both of these beverages were very tasty. Would recommend both - go with the cooler if you want something sweeter and the tonic if you'd like ginger!

My husband and I were so sad when their first location closed, but delighted to see they'd opened up again a little farther east down Jefferson Hwy! They have amazingly clean food options and can accommodate pretty much any dietary restriction--I have a long list of things I can't eat and very few restaurants in the city are able to really accommodate me. We had a fantastic lunch--ordered the rainbow salad, rice paper veggie spring rolls, a quinoa black bean burger on greens, and an order of steak fries. We ate every bite because it was delicious. We're so excited to have this as an option for clean, healthy take-away! They have limited hours, so definitely check online before you head over. Love this place!

LOVE LOVE LOVE this place! Amazing dishes with clean ingredients! Hippie Kitchen never disappoints and is always consistent with quality, care, and love. If you don't know what you're in the mood for, this restaurant is perfect with a variety of breakfast, lunch, drink, and dessert options! I can't wait to go back and grab a Harlem Hippie with a side of steak fries!
