Outstanding tempura with a thin fine batter.
The whiting in my opinion was the best, cooked just right and the fish was the perfect texture. Followed closely by the scallop, prawn wrapped in shiso leaf and prawn legs. These were so fresh that the fish tails and prawn tails were optionally edible. Or at least I ate them and nobody said anything 🤷🏻
There is a good variety of dipping options as pictured / captioned which adds a lot to the taste profile, with a recommendation for which to use on each dish.
We were the only two in our booking (looked like a traditionally dressed Japanese group before us, yes I’m a tourist) so admittedly the service was a bit stifling due to being watched by 3 attendants the whole time. Probably would have been fine with other guests present. Despite this it was a pleasant experience, with the whole team being very welcoming, the chef having a warm smile and the assistant explaining each dish upon serving.
