Hiromi Sushi - Review - Upper East Side - New York - The Infatuation

"On the Upper East Side, Hiromi Sushi offers a few interesting takeout deals. You can choose any three classic rolls and a soup or salad for $19.99, and a sushi deluxe, with 10 pieces of nigiri and a spicy tuna roll, will run you $28." - Will Hartman

Google
Amazing sushi at a great value. The fish was super fresh. We shared the sushi for 2 and there were so many different kinds of fish, some paired with a nice topping. Very kind service and complimentary green tea.

This is probably my new fav casual sushi spot in nyc!! The quality is top tier for such an affordable price. Absolutely loved everything and am definitely going to be ordering from here again. Here’s everything we got: Sushi for 2 set ($72) - 2 rolls and 20 pieces of nigiri Any 3 rolls ($23.94) - salmon avocado roll, spicy crunchy yellowtail roll, shrimp tempura roll Tuna crispy rice ($12) - one of the best I’ve had

Absolutely blown away by this new Japanese restaurant! 🍣 The presentation is like a piece of art, and every bite tastes as fresh as it looks. The salmon is buttery and perfectly marbled, the tuna is sweet with no hint of fishiness, and the uni with caviar is pure luxury. The rice is at the perfect temperature and seasoned just right, and the seared sushi has an irresistible aroma. The restaurant is spotless, the atmosphere is cozy, and the service is warm and attentive. This place is definitely going to be my go-to spot for sushi. Highly recommended!

I ordered this sushi from their website to pick up. The yellowtail jalapeño is amazing, the sauce is very good and tasty, I never had it before. I tried many places but this is very special for me. I’ll be back.

This hand roll set is amazing. The toro scallion is melted in my mouth and eel foie gras is tasty 😋. This restaurant is much more better than I expected.

Delicious food and excellent service. At Sushi Hiromi, I enjoy every meal! They are attentive to special requests which is so nice. I recommend the vegan friendly tofu bento box and sushi roll combos. Yum! Very expedient with pickup orders too. So happy to have a stellar restaurant close to home! Thanks Hiromi Sushi 😃⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

used to order a lot from this location before, but I don’t know why they closed a while. Those two is what I get since they reopen, as good as usual.

Yelp
This is the sushi deluxe from Hiromi: 10 pieces of nigiri, a spicy tuna roll, and miso soup for $33. With a seltzer and an Uber Eats promo that knocked off $11, delivery came to $43 with tax and tip. Honestly? That's a steal. They did send me a plain tuna roll instead of spicy tuna, and they don't offer ponzu (huge L for me), but the nigiri made up for it. You're getting toro with a touch of caviar, really fresh salmon, and some seared albacore. Pieces were generous, rice was room temp and seasoned right. For a "sushi deluxe," it punches way above its weight in this neighborhood. They also have a $105 omakase I'd consider trying down the line. This isn't top-tier elite sushi, but at this price point, it's hard to complain. Grade: A- For more NYC sushi breakdowns, check out The Raw Report on TikTok.

Yelp
This place is new/ renovated. I think the sushi was fresh and well made. The establishment is small and perfect for a date. The miso soup and shumai were spectacular as well. Service was good. They were nice. There was street parking (check for meters/parking restrictions). They do not have a liquor license but they allowed us to bring our own.

Yelp
Today around 2 PM I decided to give Hiromi a try. This place is a perfect example of what can be wrong with a restaurant. It is shabby and depressing, and the food is not very good. I doubt if they will be there for long. A couple years ago I ate at this location when it was Kobe. The meal was very good. I went back about a year ago, and was disappointed. Apparently they were contemplating vacating to someone else. Enter Hiromi. I should have been aware when I noticed a sign outside indicating a 10% discount on everything. What restaurant in NYC does that unless they are desperate for business. When I entered, I noticed how un-decorated and bare bones shabby the place looked. Everything was the same as Kobe but with a more worn look. With the exception of 2 loud teenagers at another table, I was the only customer. I was hoping to have sake, but discovered they don't have a liquor license. I ordered the Sashimi lunch (10 pieces for $15) with miso soup and white rice and a coca cola. The miso soup wasn't great (tough to chew seaweed) and the sushi was not quality. Two pieces didn't taste right; so passed on them. I ended up with 8 pieces of sushi and left the restaurant hungry. The white rice was okay but didn't stick together the way it should. I didn't want to eat any more food there; so went across town for a real lunch with a nice tiki drink. The service was swift, but the servers (who I assume are the owners) had an unmistakable vibe of desperation. I also found the restroom to not be that clean with a dirty floor. This is a small hole in the wall and best to be avoided.

Yelp
Great food and a reasonable price and usually a table available service was excellent. Highly recommend the salmon teriyaki bento box.
