Very friendly family business. Food is fantastic. Attention to the food is great. I really enjoyed staying here just for the meals. Even the scrambled egg at breakfast was tasty. The pension is clean, rooms are a good size. Only down side, was room seemed dark, no view and windows were up high that it was not possible to see out. Perhaps they have other rooms. I think I was in room 31, which was an upgraded room (and gigantic) I would have preferred a room half the size to get a view. Had to give five stars as this is a three star pension and the welcome, food and cleanliness is so fantastic, that I am probably comparing it to 4 star Hotels. I would go back and recommend it.

Perfect experience of hotel and restaurant!Very quiet and clean room, a big surprise to have a radio beside bed. Food is also delicious with very good service, which is deserved a Michelin recommended restaurant title.

Beautiful, elegant and comfortable rooms and dining area, very clean, very tidy. Hosts are welcoming. We had dinner and breakfast; everything was absolutely delicious! We shared a pork with spatzel entree and a salad, and it was plenty for us. Beautiful breakfast buffet. Location in a charming quiet town, with a small market just a few steps away. Looking forward to our next visit!

I stayed here while working in the area, so my perspective is different from someone who might visit for a holiday. Nevertheless, the hotel has comfortable, large rooms, with lots of amenities including a desk, minibar (and therefore a small fridge), awesome hot shower. I found it reminiscent of 'the way good midling range hotels used to be'! The staff were lovely. Restaurant is very busy, so there is a lot of associated noise in first floor rooms until c. 11pm at night. Restaurant food was great but an hour is a little too long to wait between arrival and having something to eat when you have other things you'd like to do with your evening. I guess it would be fine for most holiday-makers. The town of Gengenbach is extremely cute and certainly worth a visit to see picture postcard Germany, but its a fair distance from the hotel so best suited to people with cars.

This hotel was a fabulous place to stay!! It was German hospitality at its best. Gorgeous food and very friendly and attentive staff 😍 nice spacious rooms that were beautifully decorated. Having toured around the Alsace area, we felt that this hotel was by far the best value. Stay here, you won’t be disappointed!!!

Very nice place close to the center, the restaurant are so nice and tasty 😋 the room are very large and the room service are very good. The receptionist speak perfectly french and I’m here like at my house , all I need are available here and I every time park easily my car in front of the hostel. All it’s clean and in perfect state. The bed are like a cloud ☁️ the breakfast complete and tasty too … Don’t wait and reserve your room here !

We didn't stay there, we just went for dinner. Friendly and efficient service. Delicious local food. Nice wine list with wines from the area. Good value for money. They fully deserve the Michelin Bib Gourmand.||They have their own parking.
