"Hispania is smart and contemporary, but down to earth, like the Spanish cooking it honours. Marcos Morán of the Michelin star restaurant, Casa Gerardo, in Prendes, Spain, continues to roll out a varied menu that will enable you to sample tapas, traditional rice dishes, together with more modern creations. The accent is on big-boned, punchy flavours. The memory of the Galician veal, cooked rare, served with foie gras and an espuma of potatoes and truffles lingers still with our inspectors. A lineup of authentic Hispanic flavours, designed to transport you straight to southern Europe." - Michelin Inspector

The starters were amazing, but I was massively disappointed with the tenderloin entree. The mushroom croquettes were crispy on the outside with a delicious creamy filling. The cheese selection was nice and the octopus was cooked perfectly. I also had a nice glass of temprannillo wine. I ordered the steak tenderloin entree, but what I received was terrible. The meat was tough, inedible fat on the ends, and the sinewy fat in parts of it. Parts were hard to cut with the steak knife. There was also supposed to be mashed potatoes and mushrooms, but instead it came with new potatoes with peppers. Those were fine, but not what I ordered. And this was 48 euros 😞. I also ordered sparkling water and received a bottle of still water, but not a big deal.

From the exquisite food to the amazing staff, everything was just perfect. One of the best restaurants in Brussels and the best Spanish restaurant I’ve been in Belgium. I would recommend it to anyone looking for great Asturias food and a comforting environment. 10/10

The food here was great, everything from starters to desserts tasted amazing. It's definitely a high-end Spanish restaurant, but considering the quality of what they offer, I'd say it's worth it. The service was great as well, our servers made sure that everything arrived smoothly and answered all of our questions.

Delicious food and wonderful service! On Thursdays there is a set lunch menu for 42€. Our meal began with an amuse-bouche. I had the sea bream and soup appetizer, both of which were excellent. The scallop appetizer and shrimp were also very tasty. The interior decor is nice and our waiter was very kind. It’s a short walk from the Royal Museum of Fine Arts, and I would definitely recommend the place if you’re in the area.

Wonderful dinner, three dishes. Real Spanish, exclusive tastes and dishes. Excellent service. A little expensive, but it was worth it.

Extremely lovely staff who accommodated us even though we didn’t have a reservation. Excellent service and food! Best fish (merluzo) I’ve ever had! I didn’t take a picture because I couldn’t wait to eat 🤤

Google
Nice restaurant for Belgian standards. Compared to the restaurants in Spain, it would be 4 stars. Friendly service, good variety of Spanish dishes. I would recommend the artichokes as a starter.

Me and my partner went for a tasting menu and it was so amazing! The food was incredible and the wine pairings were very special. Would come back again for a special meal and would recommend as well! Very nice evening. Thank you!

Yelp
This is a great Spanish restaurant. We had a pumpkin aperitif followed by a cheese plate and jamon Iberico. I had the filet with foie gras. The steak was cooked perfectly and the foie gras enhanced the flavor. Wines by the glass were excellent and well chosen. Finally we enjoyed a few truffles with the last sips of our wine. Perfection!

Yelp
I don't even remember how I found this place. A somewhat last minute trip to Brussels had me googling everything a few days before leaving and wound up booking Hispania for my first night there post long flight to ensure I had a good dinner. Michelin rated, and proved delicious! Booked a reservation long before leaving and had to leave a credit card number as collateral. When I arrived, I understood why. Hispania is located within a hotel and its dining space is pretty tiny. I think the dining room fits about 25-30 folks total (not including the bar). They also don't seem to seat more than 1 sitting per night, so if the table is booked for 8:30pm they won't seat folks at 6pm etc. Interior decor felt like a revved up Crate and Barrel! From the tables, chairs, to the cutlery and centerpieces, each quirky and super decorative but totally functional. (I loved it!) Staff was super kind and not pushy, we ordered food a la carte and be warned, dishes are a smidge small for the price. (but hey, this is Michelin rated tapas style so I can't exactly complain) Food was amazing! From the chef provided amuse bouche croquette, to scallops appetizer, through to entree... finger lickin' good! Drinks and desserts were equally great! I absolutely loved that their espresso martini was done exceptionally well and came paired with petit fours for dessert. Please note: this is not a 'Spanish' restaurant and they do not serve paella. A random person walked in and I overheard staff kindly tell them so.

Yelp
The food was great, well worth the praise. I went with a small group and they said it was an elevated and sensual experience. The decor and feel was high end and classy.

Yelp
We went on Christmas Eve, having made reservations weeks earlier on their website from the US. It was a Fixed Menu (140€). Sadly, I was not made aware that this would be the case til we were actually seated. I was really looking forward to many of the dishes shown on their site & lovely reviews, the 4.8 rating of a Michelin restaurant The tasting menus was not my thing. Nor was it my moms or my husbands. I liked one dish, and tolerated the rest. The maitre'd was lovely!! Very very nice, but he could tell we were 'polite' eating. When he asked if we were not happy, I explained that we had no idea it was a fixed menu & I showed him the confirmation. I added that these selections were not something any of us would have ever chosen. He expressed his apologies & asked if we wanted something else. Uhm.. like what?? The chef is churning out this tasting stuff and nothing else. We did eat a lot of bread, tho. Do that helped I was pretty disappointed that we were none the less handed the bill in full. Including the cost of the 3 wines Won't return. To be Clear.. I have no problem paying hundreds for a meal. I often do. I did the 3night before. But had I known this menu, I would have immediately declined.

Yelp
Finally, able to eat at a Michelin star restaurant. Foods amazing but service was a little slow. I would still recommend this place for dinner and drinks
