"Built in 1862, the Bridgeport Covered Bridge has the longest clear span of any covered bridge in the nation that is still standing. The bridge was once a particularly important link in the western United States when silver mining was at its height." - Travel + Leisure Editors

I have loved coming here since I was a child--I came on family trips and for birthday parties outdoors as a little girl, went with friends in high school to swim and hike, brought my now-husband back when we were just dating, and most recently visited with our newborn daughter for the first time. The park is beautiful and well-loved; there are maintained trails, tables to picnic at, wildflowers and little waterfalls at the right time of year, and of course the bridge itself. This is a wonderful place to come for a day, and I can't recommend it highly enough (though I may be biased by all of my beautiful memories there)!

Google
Great local covered bridge to visit. $10 fee for parking. You can only walk over the bridge, no driving or riding. Very scenic place to hike and see historic buildings. You can park down the road and hike if you don't want to pay the $10 parking fee.

Wonderful piece of history! You're able to cross the bridge, explore the beach below as well as check out some preserved buildings (barn and shell gas station) Bathrooms on site. $10 daily parking fee.

The museum wasn't open. The paths are nice and easy. I was aware the CCC rangers were working hard to accommodate folks with disabilities. The weather was warm, the river looks great. However we were advised not to swim. The Temps were 35°, and they have too many casualty/fatality in March. River opens in June.

Pretty cool place to come spend a hot afternoon, the bridge is well done and even in Aug there was plenty of water and room to play, parking was limited though so if you get there late you might have to hike some.

Such a cool little spot with lots of history! It's been so quiet and very unpopulated the past few times I've gone down to the water by the bridge.

Very well maintained park. The covered bridge is magnificent, largest of its kind in the world, they say. A great place for a picnic and hike, many very interesting historical markers. The S. Yuba River is beautiful and clear. Well worth the stop.

Yelp
Fun for everyone. You can spend the day or just spend an hour walking around. Perfect for kids and all ages. Watch for snakes we saw a big rattlesnake.

Yelp
Awesome restoration of this historical bridge. Beautiful and you can walk across it now and take photos from the river below as well. Lots of other artifacts to see around the park as well but the bridge steals the show for sure.

Yelp
Awesome bridge, nice trails be careful not to get washed down stream. I was just going to check water levels.

Yelp
This is a classic bridge. Don't let the structure fool you. It is safe. Come during the late afternoon hours. It is cooler.

Yelp
Beautiful hiking trails. One leads you right up to Englebright lake! They had gold mining for the kiddos and a small store. There is a lot of history to see. The covered bridge has been renovated. Plenty of swim spots through the area. Parking is $10, your time there is priceless. Beach area!!! Water is always a tad cold but manageable. Make sure you have your phone charged for the endless photo opps. Benches are available but pack some chairs

Yelp
Water was so refreshing! Great parking area and cheap. My dog enjoyed the walk through the bridge. So much sand space to be I could even play fetch with him without bothering other people. And the people and kids here are so chill, my dog can get loud but nobody battled an eye at a dog being a dog. He was able to chill after a little bit anyway, the vibe here is just so great
