Google
Always pass this place and decided to give it a try. Super cute and comfortable atmosphere with plants for sale!! Breakfast sandwich was delicious and so was my iced matcha (honey lavender!!). Excited to come back to try the espresso.

Google
I love this study spot! WiFi doesn’t run well so a little disappointed in that but the atmosphere and friendly service made me stay a little while longer

Hive is a great coffee shop on the corner of Broad and Dickinson. The staff are friendly, the coffee is good, they make these delicious bagel sandwiches that are big enough for two people, and they have these big cookies! What more could you want from a coffee shop? Absolutely wonderful. Thanks, Hive.

Google
Very friendly, coffee and food was amazing! I had a vegan bagel and it was phenomenal

Google
I enjoy the chicken salad on everything bagel, but the amount of chicken salad on the bagel was very poor for the price..

Google
The food was amazing, the drip coffee was great, and service was fast.

Google
Cool spot, but the food wasn’t on-point. We ordered the tofutti, avocado, sundried tomato, onion sandwich on sesame seed bagel. The bagel was smaller than expected and over-toasted. It was a bit burnt and very dry. The sandwich overall was light on fillings. We came for lunch, ate, but left still feeling hungry—I had to make myself a bit more food when we got home. Not ideal for a 9 dollar sandwich. Compared to Bart’s Bagels, for example, you can get a larger version of a similar sandwich for cheaper, and on a waaaay better bagel. I would recommend this place for drinking coffee and working on your laptop, but not for food.

So fun, so fresh, sunny and bright cutie pie cafe

Yelp
I will caveat that this review is completely dependent on the vibes set by Elijah. What a spectacular spot. What a sweet weekend treat. I've done and dusted the must hung over Sunday buns and waddled a workday Wednesday grumpus to this spot and man oh man it sends me every time. My guy with the sandwiches in the back rocks it. The coffee is tastie. And most of all, the service is tremendous. Eating and drinking at Hive feels like being swaddled by a large puma who loves you and wants you to have the best things in life. The vibes are immaculate and the plants in the windows are extremely friendly. Slather some of that chipotle aioli on my chest and let's go have a good time at Hive! I've looked into the chasm of despair. I've known the pain of kissing a goat in a bad way. I've seen pain in the eyes of toddlers when I howl at them. This place makes me feel none of these things. None. 5 stars.

Yelp
mixed feelings on this place- the interior is so cute, i love all the plants and windows. the baristas were super sweet too. but the coffee and food were very mediocre. i got an oat milk latte which was very disappointing. i also got a tomato mozz bagel sandwhich, and the bagel didn't seem very fresh. i really wanted to love this place because it had great vibes and seemed like an awesome place to remotely work, but with so many other great coffee places nearby, i don't see myself returning

Yelp
Service was great and food was okay. I placed my order online with ease, but was very disappointed with my coffee. Seemed like a very nice place on the inside and worker was attentive, but not the place for me.

Yelp
I just ordered a couple bagels and an iced chai tea to pick up. The chai is great. Five stars if that was the end... I get why the bagels are only a dollar. They were not good /: Maybe stale? I can't tell. The one I had them put cream cheese on also had a nice hair in it... that I discovered after I had started eating it. I don't know y'all. I wanted to like this place because it is soooo close to my house.

Yelp
I just moved in up the block and wanted to check this place out! Coffee is great, food is pretty good but the people that work here are so nice and smiley! Such a pleasant experience and their happiness is contagious

Yelp
Great spot for a quick snax and good coffee ... checks every box. Sun filled space with gorgeous plants and local artists up on the walls. Pitstop here on my way home to meet up with friends or sometimes for a lil study time when I can't focus at my studio. Everyone is so nice... love this place!

Yelp
I don't wanna be overly critical but didn't feel the love from the staff. It was a awkward experience. Coffee and other goodies are okay. Place have plenty of sitting area. I really liked the set up and those natural wooden table and chairs. I will give them another try if I am around the neighborhood. And revisit this review.

Yelp
This is formerly Benna's West, now under new name, very similar to the previous establishment. Whether "Hive" or "Benna's" I was impressed. One change under current management is that they dropped the baguette sandwiches, and offer instead an excellent multigrain bread. Also bagels of course. Great windows onto south Broad, high ceiling, very comfortable space. They only had one plain bagel left when I got there for a late lunch, so I went with the whole grain bread for the mozzarella/basil sandwich. Excellent! I've been back since, had the same excellent experience. The coffee is great, and staff very friendly. My new fav place to grab a coffee or quick bite in the old 'hood. Coffee comes with refill, whoa now you are talking.

Yelp
The review is for the pop tarts made by Freedom Pies. I picked s'mores and peanut butter. Great crispy crust. A lot of fillings, not too sweet

Matthew H.

Yelp
Had a pretty good breakfast sandwich on gluten feee bread. The tempeh bacon was good. I thought it was a bit on the expensive side, but I'd probably still go back sometime.

Yelp
Not only do they have delicious coffee, pastries (vegan I may add) and meals, but their staff is some of the friendliest and kindest around in this neighborhood The baristas Nora and Conrad are my girls. Always welcoming me with a friendly face and executing my order efficiently and perfectly every time. When it comes to coffee, please try their hand made syrups (lavender, cardamom, pumpkin), their pastries (tahini made chocolate chip cookies, peanut butter cookies, gluten free pop tarts, banana bread, Bundt cakes, bread pudding) and their sweet potato HASH (spicy and savory...left my mouth watering for more). Please also take a look at the local art work. Support local business and local artists. And the warm hearted people working in this cafe.

Yelp
I have passed this little cafe half a dozen times and can walk here from my work so I finally gave it a try. I had the chai tea latte which was probably the best one I've ever had. I also had the avocado, tomato, bacon, and cream cheese on an everything bagel--so delicious. The staff was also very friendly. The online ordering/ pick up is also very convenient.

Yelp
Most importantly, the coffee I got here was delicious. They serve ReAnimator beans which I have also found quite satisfying in their named location. The ambience here is top tier coffee shop ambience. There are contemporary stylings, lots of window (uncluttered by posters) and window seating, and the menu is easily located and followed. Hive is a pretty nice coffee shop.

Yelp
Great place to meet a friend for coffee, get some work done, or just sit and relax. Friendly staff and good coffee. Their bagels are really good!

Yelp
I live in S Philly, and after spending the duration of the stay-at-home in Conshohocken, Hive was one of the things I missed most. Finally got to go back today to find that they've been handling takeout orders like champs! Easy to order online and pick up, the food/drinks are amazing, and they have just about the nicest staff you could ask for. Highly recommend!

Yelp
How is this place even doing business? Staff is so rude and unwelcoming. Definitely won't be back again!

Yelp
Prior to my experience here on Saturday afternoon, I had been a regular customer at hive as I live in the neighborhood. However, I was treated so rudely by the barista . I ordered two lattes, one with skim milk. When my name was called I inquired as to which one was skim and the girl rolled her eyes saying well I didn't know any of them were supposed to be skim as she, clearly irritated now, dumped out the latte. She then said "skim latte coming right up" in a condescending tone. Then once was latte was ready she slammed the cup down without saying a word just looked in my direction so I wasn't even sure that it was for me. The girl who took my order even apologized to her and explained that it was her mistake, but it didn't make the barista any friendlier. Overall, I felt like I was inconveniencing her for expecting to receive was I ordered and ultimately paid for.

Yelp
The food is really good. I was especially a fan of the Cheddar Cauliflower Hashbrown. The vibe is cool and the service overall was pretty good. I thought it was a little odd they only had plastic forks and knives. Reanimator coffee is also served and that's always a win!

Elena I.

Yelp
People that work there are always nice. Bagels suck tho. Please get better bagels. Pleaseeeeee. Great spot for all you rich mfers from out of town. No complaints besides that I'm not a rich mfer from out of town and I'm bitter about it. There's a corner store down the block on 15th with good coffee for a $1 :)

Yelp

Yelp
The service here is inexplicably slow. I like the location and their food is fine but waited for 20 minutes for 2 to-go bagels on a day when it wasn't particularly crowded. If I'd known it would take so long I would've skipped it. Don't come here if you're in a hurry.

Yelp
An instant favorite since I moved to the neighborhood last year. I'm here often for iced latte's, and I'm routinely tempted by the pastries on offer. Muffins and cookies are excellent and I'm especially a fan of the vegan Hello donuts they get on the weekends.

Yelp
Checked out this neighborhood coffee and cafe shop. Welcoming team managing the front and back offices. Clean and tidy work spaces and facilities. Coffee reasonably priced. Other selections also available to keep fingers on the keyboard busy, or just time to read. Outside seating in good weather, nice space, on day we visited, for legacy newspaper readers, who were also trying to learn two-handed smart phone techniques. Productive day. Concluded with the chicken and grape salad on a fresh English muffin. Nutritious and fulfilling. Delish! Recommended.

Yelp
Hive is my new favorite coffee shop. large, sunny space with lots of windows to people watch. Sometimes you get to pet a dog from a person making a quick stop in, dogs are welcome ! I have had the breakfast sandwiches on gluten free bread and it's great. Bagel sandwiches are also filling. I tried the chili with cornbread and it was perfect. Staff has always been very friendly and patient . A pleasant place to go on a lazy Sunday.

Yelp
Good spot for work: wifi, good music, plugs, coffee, and great atmosphere.

Yelp
This place sucks. Honestly, the staff was super rude and it took forever to get my one item I ordered.

Yelp
Sooo good! Amazing cafe/coffee spot right on south broad. Great reanimator coffee, super good sandwiches and baked goods, and incredibly welcoming and cool staff. Def gonna stop by anytime I'm local!

Yelp
Bagel was great, cream cheese was too sparse. Only on one side! Not cool.

Yelp
Great spot. Solid food and smoothies, laid back atmosphere and absolutely necessary for the location. 5 stars, most definitely! Maybe consider allowing dogs?

Yelp
I have been going here for a while, back when it was still called benna's but something happened today that made me never want to come back. i had just arrived, put my stuff down on a table, and went outside to smoke a cigarette while i debated what i wanted to order. one of the employees stuck their head out the door and said "are you going to order something?" to which i quickly responded yes because i was embarrassed and caught off guard. There were only maybe three customers but it was still really uncomfortable to be called out in this manner in front of them. I was flustered and just went inside, grabbed my backpack, and walked to another coffee shop a few blocks away to get my breakfast. I go here all the time to wait for my ride to/from work and although I usually only get coffee as opposed to those who get food, maybe they're more valued as customers- I don't really know. Full disclosure, there have been some occasions where I'm not in the mood for coffee so I just sit and quietly read while I wait for my coworker to pick me up but i have never taken up a table or a seat over a paying customer if I am just waiting (but typically there are plenty of empty seats) and I always make sure to leave the area where I was sitting clean. Maybe I'm wrong, but being a semi regular customer I figured that it wasn't a big deal to sit inside and read while I wait since it's cold outside and it's nice to be around other people. I have never had this issue in any other cafe or coffee shop where I have done the same thing. if I'm in the wrong here, I'd be the first one to apologize but I felt like the way they handled it was wrong. If they had such an issue with me waiting inside for a ride, I feel that they could have just said something to me quietly instead of just opening the door and sticking their head out so everyone could hear. plus it gave the wrong impression that I'm not a paying customer which I am more times than I'm not. The whole thing just made me feel so bad and uncomfortable that I decided just to never go back there. I was fighting back tears as I walked out as I already have social anxiety and being embarrassed publicly and being made to look like a bum or something who doesn't buy things from them made me feel awful. When I got to the other coffee shop today I told them what happened and they agreed with me that it was uncalled for and they had no issue with a semi regular customer sitting in the coffee shop without buying something sometimes because they understand that sometimes people have to wait for a ride or something and don't want to be freezing outside. plus they want them to feel comfortable and continue being a customer. i don't know if i can mention the other coffee shop by name but it's on 15th street and the employees there are amazing, make you feel welcome, and most importantly, treat you with respect. even though it's a little out of the way for me, i'll be strictly going there from now on.

Yelp
LOVE this place. I got the philly breakfast sandwich and an iced mocha. Delicious and the staff are so friendly and welcoming. They are open and doing curbside pick up during COVID. You order and pay on the app ahead of time. Super easy.

Yelp
Great gluten-free options. Staff was friendly and space is adorable. Have been back a few times because I enjoyed it so much.

Yelp
Solid 4 star establishment. Smoothie was good with all natural ingredients. Good rooibos tea and good service. Good place to study or work.
