Ho Wong’s Chinese Takeaway & Silk Road Restaurant

I was so looking forward to this and was disappointed. I ordered a takeaway. Nobody to take my order when I arrived but when someone appeared service was warm and friendly. You can see through to the kitchen and it looked spotless. Ordered a breast of chicken chow mein with the gravy. Price point was to the upper end of local pricing. The gravy came separate which was a new one on me and as it was really thick which meant it was difficult to mix with the chow mein. The chicken was chicken breast slices rather than the usual entire breast cut. The chicken was very good quality and tasty. The noodles and veg sadly smelt strange. It reminded me of the smell in my mum's kitchen when she boiled cabbage. Taste wise it was not great and had a mush style of consistency. I just get the feeling I ordered the wrong dish for me and will give the place another try.

First time we've used Ho Wongs for delivery. Excellent. Everything was lovely. Got the half aromatic duck and special curry and rice and chips. Got spring rolls as a freebie. They were excellent too. Definitely recommend. Definitely be back for more.

Just passing through the area and stopped here for a quick takeaway. Delicious food, very generous portion size and free chicken wings as well. Definitely recommend and I wish I loved closer!

Have seen many Chinese restaurants in the UK This is by far the best i have ever experienced Food quality, speed and service great Not the cheapest but fantastic quality

Food is excellent, everything we had was great! The best ribs ive ever had from a chinese. A little bit more expensive than others but the quality is worth it 👍🏻 delivered quick from their website as well.

Two dishes that I bought had preformed chicken, it’s like eating sponge. For the cost, proper chicken breast should be used.

Everytime I call, I’m greeted by my name. I am able to make slight adjustment to how I like my food (for example; no peppers) and these requests are always accepted. On a Saturday evening from placing my order to the delivery arriving it took less than 45 minutes. Absolutely ideal and by far the best Chinese in Bellshill/Holytown area!

Brilliant take away the food was delicious. And it came with some freebies if im in the area i'll be back.
