"Vegan Vietnamese fare is a treat for carnivores and herbivores alike. The flavors here are true to form, while the mock meats don’t disappoint. The expansive menu means that there’s something for everyone." - Euno Lee

I always liked Vietnamese food. All the food that we had there was delicious. You cannot go wrong here. The prices were very reasonable and the quantity of each dish was more than enough for one person.

This place changed my perspective on vegetarian restaurants. Easily recommendation from me! Used to always be a proud meathead but had a respect for vegetarian/vegan restaurants as I believed they had to be good to be around. After giving Hoa Sen a try with some friends, I realised that meat isn't always the best thing in a meal. Almost every single order I've had here has been a smash. The Happy Hoa Sen salad is usually a staple when I go with friends to share. Vegetarian food already feels light in general but this was a great refresher between bites. The Com Dap is a comforting crunchy-ish rice dish that feels like a sure hit with anyone indecisive. The claypot rice is my favourite meal here for sure, reminding me of an amazing rice and mushroom dish at a now closed tapas restaurant. These two rice dishes come with their own sauces if I remember right that absolutely change the way the meal tastes, and not just like adding soy sauce. The house special fried rice is a nice familiar staple for those less adventurous, and it's impressive that there's even vegetarian pork floss! The Mi Xao Gion isn't much to write about though, as I'm not much of a mi xao person. The servers are all very nice and friendly, with the restaurant making good use of space although on the cozier side. The food doesn't crank out fast but you won't be waiting too long.

Best vegan food that I've had in Southern California so far! It's definitely not the best decor or dining experience, but the food is just amazing. The clay pot rice and lotus salad, in particular, were standouts. The flavors and quality of the ingredients were excellent. We were actually hoping to go to Au Lac, but it is closed on Mondays so we wound up here. We are sure glad that we did.

6/2022-Delicious vegetarian dishes Viet style and you wouldn't even realize it's veggie it's that good! Staff are hardworking and friendly; 11/2019-This place is a hidden gem amongst the locals for excellent vegetarian Vietnamese dishes. Don't let its humble exterior deceive you nestled in a humdrum strip mall across from a much newer and bigger counterpart. It gets very busy during the lunch hour but their friendly servers are very knowledgeable and patient especially for the occasional vegetarian or non-Vietnamese patron. Everything is a delicious vegetarian version of a traditional Vietnamese dish. Parking can get very crowded and cramped especially in the two long aisles but it's worth the small inconvenience.

It was disappointing! The presentation was not good enough to make believe it was shrimp or fish. The cá kho tộ (braised salty caramel fish) did not look like fish. There was some pretending fish skin which was chewy but not tasty. The dish was sub par. The canh chua hải sản (seafood sweet and sour soup) was acceptable. The gỏi rau tiến vua ( dragonfruit leaves salad) was not well seasoned, it was mostly sour, nothing to balance it. It was so unappetizing that the three of us could not finish our orders.

Reasonably priced dishes and many to choose from. We ordered a Pho Hoa Sen, claypot rice, BBq Spring roll and Veggie Beef noodle soup. The soup got Pho was not as flavorful as other vegetarian pho I have tired before. But the claypot rice was amazing. The sauce combination was perfect to bring out the smokey taste of the rice. Note: They do charge for hot tea, only $1.
