Came here because of the Michelin recommendation, but honestly left disappointed. The biggest letdown was the service. Very passive, static, and uninterested. No warmth, no engagement, no sense of hospitality. I’m also giving one star for the atmosphere. We were seated directly under the air conditioning, which was blowing straight onto our heads. Even though there were other free tables, the staff was not keen to relocate us after we asked. It made the experience uncomfortable from the start. The food itself was fine. Ingredients felt fresh and flavors were okay, but nothing memorable or distinctive, especially considering the prices. Overall, it didn’t live up to the expectations that come with a Michelin mention. Not bad, but far from special.

They simply bring the menu, take the order, deliver the food, and disappear. There is no sense of hospitality or attentiveness. Considering the price point, the level of service is disappointing and does not match what you would expect from a Michelin-recommended restaurant. Overall, an okay meal, but far from a Michelin-level experience.

If you’re a food lover, Hoa Tuc is a must-visit in Ho Chi Minh City. We tried the B prawn calamari, and it was excellent — perfectly cooked, tender, and not at all rubbery. The prawns were fresh and juicy, the calamari light and crisp, with balanced seasoning that didn’t overpower the seafood. Beautifully presented and full of flavour, it really stood out on the table. Definitely a dish worth ordering if you’re dining here.

every dish honestly surprised me!!!! the flavours really pop and hit in the best way. nothing felt bland and each dish had its own character. definitely a must visit in ho chi minh, especially if you love local special cuisine! * the place can get quite crowded and noisy from all the talking, but still worth a visit

It’s in the fancy part of town - across the street of park Hyatt hotel saigon. There’s outdoor and indoor seatings. We didn’t make any reservations, and ended up seated outside. There was already a crowd around 6ish. Overall, they offer an elaborate menu. We had snapper with mango sauce, star fruit soup, crispy prawn spring roll and an avocado smoothie to drink. All good. Tasty, and the portion is just nice for 2-3 pax. We also ordered their famous flan for dessert. Tasted great! Will be back if I’m in a mood to dress-up!

Hoa Tuc is nicely tucked in a little sort of compound. You walk through a courtyard where you'll see all the different restaurant concepts they've got. The restaurant itself is tastefully decorated though I found the seats and tables to be near each other. Anyway the food was good. I had the stuffed snails, clam crackers and soft shell crab. I had fresh coconut juice to go with the food. My favourite dish was the clam crackers. I thought the crab dish wasn't crabby enough though I did like the passion fruit sauce.

The majority of the customers here are foreigners, and the menu clearly reflects that. As a result, don't expect bold or authentic Vietnamese seasoning if you're looking for that. The presentation and service follow a fine dining approach, with an emphasis on aesthetics and a more refined experience. However, this also comes with a higher price tag. Compared to local eateries targeting Vietnamese customers, the prices here are quite steep. All in all, it’s an acceptable place, especially if you’re a foreigner wanting to enjoy a gentler introduction to Vietnamese food in a more upscale setting. But if you're a local, I would recommend exploring other options that are more affordable and stay true to the Vietnamese flavor profile.

Cool spot with great outdoor vibe in a secluded little square. It gets quite full so booking is advised or go later in the evening. Food is well presented and tasty but portions are small for the price you pay. With 4 people we had to order 7 dishes (2 appetisers + 5 mains).
