Came across Hobbs while walking around Granville Island. Staff were extremely friendly - answered all our questions and let us try lots of samples! There was a large variety of flavours to choose from, we up getting the honey mustard chips and the spicy dills spears!

First time here and continued the food tour through the island. The ladies at the counter were very nice and let me try several different ones before we bought the blazing sour. My favourite was the one beside the half sour that was slightly sweet with chilies flakes in it. Half sour means that it has been fermented for about 3 weeks & full sour longer than 3 weeks. You can feel your gut bacteria happily dancing to the full fermentation of this food. I wish I could take this back home with me on the plane, but I’m not sure if they would give me trouble even if I drained all of the liquid. If anyone has ever taken this back overseas to their country, please let me know. I would love to be able to take some home.😀

Google
I would have given This five stars, but there is an aftertaste of plastic from the pickles being brined in plastic. The taste of the pickles of itself is very delicious, but that after taste of plastic, I can’t get over it and I probably won’t be re-purchasing these pickles solely because of that plastic taste. I wish they would sell it in glass jars like every other pickle brand.

This place was highly recommended and truly lived up to the expectations. The Hobb's Pickle stand inside Granville Market is easy to locate. Once there, the servers are incredibly friendly, offering as many samples as you need to make the best decision before you buy. I got the Horseradish Pickles and devoured them even before finding a table to sit and enjoy them. Whoops! Next time, I’ll know to order a larger container. I highly recommend making this a stop while at Granville; they won’t disappoint.

Google
A must visit stand when on granville island. A great array of pickle flavours where the pickle connoisseur will ask you what flavours you like and give you their recommendation. You can have as many tasters as needed to get the right pickle for you. I went for spicy dill and the flavour and crunch was unmatched. I highly recommend to any pickle lover!

Google
Omg I am OBSESSED with these pickles, the best ones in Vancouver and crunchiest. The staff are very nice and helpful too!

Google
Went to Granville island just for these pickles. The person at the stand let me sample a few and I was sold on the Bread and Butter pickles. I have never been more excited for pickles. Also customer service was FANTASTIC. I will be back.

Google
oh my god. i ended up getting The Big Dill ones but have I been living under a rock?! Why was the staff so amazing and they explained everything and got me to try their favourites… Apparently Harry Styles’ favourite flavour is Bread n’ Butter, it was too weird though, that man has weird taste buds. OG all the way; but the mustard was not too bad either. A bit acidic but in a yummy way. Once again the staff were amazing and the aesthetic value of that brand helps a lot too.

Yelp
I'm a big pickle fan! I've had samples every time I've come into the market but this is the first time I committed and bought a jar. The workers are always friendly and give as many samples as you're wanting to have. I got the honey mustard pickle in the smallest size. Out of the different options, this was my favourite and I did try all that piqued my interest. Didn't realise it when I picked it but this flavour does count as sweet instead of savoury, thus it is a bit more expensive than the "savoury" ones. It's hard to find pickles this good so packed with flavours. It is definitely very pricey given the size but it's a nice treat to give yourself sometimes. I got it for my girlfriend's birthday this weekend. When we got back, we cracked it open and my roommates were obsessed. Definitely recomme

Yelp
This is a kiosk inside Granville Island farmers market. I am a pickle lover, and this was a recommendation I saw on TikTok. The pickles are crunchy and fresh and delicious and the flavors are amazing. I bought a little tub of honey, mustard, pickles, frozen, and brought them home on my carry-on. I really wish Hobbs pickles delivered because I would be buying many flavors. But if you're in the area and you love pickles, definitely stop here.

Yelp
obsessed with Hobbs Pickles! we tried all the samples and we were helped right away and had friendly service. if we could order these online, we would get these every other week! the pickles are not too salty and not too sour, so it was a soft taste. SO good!

Yelp
The four stars are because I only tried one type of pickle: I will return and, try more and up it to five if I get the same experience. So I love pickles, but the market varieties you get off the shelves are usually super salty and not fresh tasting. Hobbs pickles are the complete opposite. I took home a container of the Horseradish pickles and they are delicious. Just enough horseradish flavor , not super salty, crunchy and fresh tasting. This place sits in the middle of the marketplace in Granville. They have at least a dozen different types and let you sample any of them. Service was fine although they looked a little stressed.

Yelp
Very nice pickle products. My fav of the ones I purchased were the mustard pickles. Didn't have the smallest sizes ready so I did have to buy the next size up, but the pickles were very good. The pickle pins were also very cute.

Yelp
We were exploring the Public Market when we came across this pickle vendor. They had every flavor available to try and we couldn't resist! I'm a huge pickle fan and these might possibly be the best pickles I've ever had. They are so flavorful. This particular vendor was able to give us a packaging option that allowed us to fly home with our purchase. We couldn't wait to get home and make a sandwich with the honey mustard pickles. Their spicy flavor was really tasty too! Definitely check them out if you're in Granville!

Yelp
Great pickles. Reminds me of trips to New York's lower east side They have half sour pickles. Great mouth, puckering pickles.

Yelp
I love pickles, so words can not express how excited I was to find this pickle stand at Granville Island Public Market. It completely exceeded my expectations. First, although it's a tiny pickle stand, they had an impressive assortment of pickle flavors. The employees were so nice and helpful in asking about your preferences, explaining the different flavors, and recommending flavors that you may enjoy. It was fun to try a couple of the flavors but ultimately, I went home with the honey mustard flavor. I would love to come back and try more of the flavors. It was quite crowded and it was a little intimidating to jump in and request to sample the flavors. The prices are a little high for pickles, but I think it's justified considering their specialty flavors.

Yelp
I got SO EXCITED to see a stand dedicated to my favorite food, PICKLES. The staff was super friendly and offered tons of samples. My favorites were definitely the Horseradish and the Honey Mustard. The pickles were all crisp and fresh without being too strong. I was concerned about bringing them back on the plane with me, but they offer TRAVEL JARS! Amazing. It was about $15.20 USD for the traveler. I will dream about these pickles when they're gone TT

Yelp
After tasting the honey mustard, jalapeño, spicy dill, and the regular pickle, we decided honey mustard was our favorite! The worker was kind enough to let us sample multiple flavors. The only complaint is that it is a bit pricy, $13 for the smallest container, but I would come again.

Yelp
Located within the Granville Island Public Market towards the rear is Kaylin & Hobbs pickles. Looks pretty unassuming. Just a guy dressed up slicing up pickles and chatting people up. I love pickles. So naturally I kind of hovered around the free sample area checking to see what's on display. Finally, decided I was gonna go in on one. Honey mustard pickle. It was a great idea. I have an affinity for honey mustard and mix it with a crispy pickle; it was mouth watering to say the least. Spicy dill was amazing as it hit all the flavors spots on my tongue. And down the pickle line I went tasting the rest. All the pickles were fresh and all were excellent! Now these are more of you artisan, gourmet type pickles so they'll be a bit pricier than your average everyday pickle, but it's worth price. You can tell how much work was put into creating these pickle flavors. Don't sleep on this one if you're a pickle aficionnado.

Yelp
These pickles are expensive about $12 for med tub.I bought the sweet bread and butter and they are nice but I like less expensive brands better. These we're somewhat spicy, very thin and the rims weren't soft enough. One time is enough for me

Yelp
Me: "Weird... A store selling *just* pickles??? Does anyone buy just *pickles*?!" Me after 5 mins: walking away with a jar of honey mustard pickles I just bought. Delicious pickles for sure, they deserve the good reviews. The products literally sell themselves with the self-serve generous free samples. The price is expectedly high because it is in a very touristy spot, but frankly I was a bit disappointed (maybe more in myself) afterwards to find out that it is actually not made locally, so not necessarily as "fresh" as I thought. Their website do make it clear about the owners' backstory and how the pickles are made in New York, since they both believe that's where to get the best pickles.

Yelp
Very nice gentleman behind counter, walk away with 3 hot pickles. As a tourist that was very kind. I feel a little burn now. Thanks again

Yelp
The stall is adorable and has a very clean look to it. The samples are all out for everyone to try, which is fantastic. Sometimes I'm wary of buying something and not being able to try it. My friend Henry bought me some horseradish ones but they had too much kick for me so I came back for some other flavors. Being a huge fan of sweet pickles for snacking, I had to try it. The best way to describe it is @(/$!")#?#)/@)*!). Was that a typo? Nope. They're that good and I don't think yelp likes cussing. These are hands down the best sweet reds I've ever had. Yes they're not cheap but man are they a treat. We can all complain about how expensive they are compared to store brands like Bicks or Strub, but gourmet stuff always costs more. Cracker Barrel and Kraft's cheese cost much less than artisanal cheeses at the cheese shops. Fancy olives cost more in a small container than an entire grocery store name brand jar. On and on we go. Yes they're not cheap but they're effing delicious.

Yelp
I am a pickle lover. I love all pickles from kosher to your garden variety pickles on burgers. While walking about Granville Island last July, I stumbled into this booth where they pass out samples. There are two that I tried that were very good: the horseradish infused and jalapeño pepper infused pickles. I immediately bought two bottles. One of each. I can report that the horseradish infused pickle that the sell here is the single greatest pickle I've ever eaten in my life. Too bad I can't just walk to this place from Oakland, CA. Next time I am in Vancouver, I will purchase 5 bottles of that horseradish infused pickles. The man that worked here (I think he was either Kaylin or Hobbs) told me the story and I felt as if I'd run into the Pickle Messiah! Seriously, if you're at Granville Island and love pickles, you won't find a better purchase. In fact, in my 3 hour visit at Granville Island, this was the only purchase I made.

Yelp
My daughter nearly jumped for joy when she saw this vendor. She absolutely loves pickles. They have samples of every pickle flavor they sell, which is about 10. They encourage you to sample as much as your heart desires, as long as you keep taking a new toothpick. I like the emphasis on health. This is great because one of the flavors I thought I would not like, I really loved. That was the honey mustard ones. I bought a container that had five pickles in it. We had honey mustard and sour ones. These pickles are so delicious. They have a great crunch to them. I wanted to order some to ship home but since the pickles are so fresh, they cannot be shipped due to them not being as high quality after 30 hours without being in the refrigerator. I have to respect that. If I find myself in Vancouver again, I will be sure to visit this treasure.

Yelp
Stumbled upon this place during my visit to Granville Island Market and they offer a variety of delicious pickles. Their pickles tasted fresh, flavorful, and had a refreshing crisp crunchy texture. My favorites included the kosher dill, horseradish, and the half sour. They can be a little on the expensive side, but I think they are worth it if you can appreciate a good pickle. They also recently opened up a second location in Los Angeles, CA. l'd recommend checking them out...because they are kind of a big "dill" (pun intended).

Yelp
These guys are our favorite new Granville Island vendor! The Mustard pickles have been phenomenal for snacking all week, and were a huge hit at a recent dinner party. My girlfriend also really enjoyed the Half Sour. Pro tip: be sure to save the brine for salad dressing. Great to see such an excellent small business starting up in Vancouver. Already looking forward to our next visit!

Yelp
I'm addicted. Am in love the pickles bar at Granville Island market, which is in the food court area. They have a lot of excellent flavours, which you can try. I always leave with a purchase of the straight up Kosher Dill, but they have mustard flavour, horseradish flavour, and many others that are great.

Yelp
Purchased these when we visited Vancouver and Granville Market and it was the best purchase we made that day. a bit expensive for pickles but very good and its always nice to have samples to try at their booth before buying them. i could have stayed all day at their booth. Good stuff!

Yelp
The assorted flavors are delicious...they stay fresh for weeks. Crispy and crunchy burst of flavors in your mouth. .Everytime I'm in town I make sure to stop by and grab some to take home. Jalapeño for my brother kosher dill for me :p.

Yelp
Nicest staff ever. Amazing selection on pickles. The clerk was shocked when I told her I've never eaten a pickle before. I'm glad I could do it at their place! I'm still on the fence about pickles personally, but they are very knowledgeable and their customer service is rockin' They have sweet pickles and spicy pickles and normal pickles too.
google avatar

Simon C.

Yelp
I have one best pickles in Vancouver. They sell pickles with multiple favors and I got a jar with Horseradish favor. It tastes great and they don't have the salty after taste with other brands in stores. Keep up the great work and I will be back for them.

Yelp
Located on Granville Island I came here during one of my Granville Island visits on my day off. I wanted to buy some local food from vendors including pickles and some bars. I picked up a small tub of spicy pickles for a couple of my friends for their barbeques this season. The price was average. Great customer service and it's always good dealing with local vendors.

George F.

Yelp
The pickles themselves deserve four stars for sure. And good on you for bringing some skill to the pickle scene here. The unfortunate part of this business is that the pickles are made in New York, and then shipped all the way here. What's most interesting is that this aspect of the business seems to be a selling feature. There is nothing about pickle making knowledge that can't travel. Moreover, we have pickles here. Alas, they've chosen to not only make them on the other side of the country. I guess I respect they're not shying away from it. I can't help but wonder if the $12 price point for a half litre of pickles is partly due to the plane ticket. I believe the business would do larger volume by purchasing and making the pickles here, thereby reducing their own costs, and hopefully transferring that along to the customer.

Yelp
A long time pickle connoisseur, I can confidently say that Kaylin & Hobbs horseradish pickles are HANDS DOWN the best pickles I have ever tasted. The strong, mouth watering flavour coupled with a perfect crisp blend between crunchy and juicy left me speechless and begging for more. I don't know if I can ever go back to Bicks or Vlasic. Seriously. I am in pickle heaven with these things. Absolutely game changing.

Kathy L.

Yelp
The best pickles EVER! Have had the Horseradish and Jalapeno before. Returned today and bought one of each plus the Kosher!
