"Ho’ Brah has some of the best tacos in Bay Ridge, maybe even in Brooklyn. The ambiance has a nice edgy west coast vibe that is most definitely transportive and unique for the neighborhood. The staff is friendly and accommodating and the food is excellent." - the serif design

My food came out amazing ! Was really hungry and it hit the spot ! The brisket tacos and the nachos were really good ! A little pricey but worth it in my opinion! Staff was really cool and the place was laid back and looked clean. Will definitely be returning to try other things on the menu !

Google
Food was good. The nachos were very good. Their drinks take too long to order. But they are good. They also need to have the items that they advertise in the restaurant especially on a Saturday afternoon.

Ordered from this restaurant a little over a month ago and they hit it out the park! Tonight the kitchen staff must be different as we received deep fried Birria Tacos and Burnt Quesadilla with very little portions of meat, To top it all off our drinks weren’t delivered. Hoping this changes when dining in, but definitely avoiding ordering take out.

Google
Great taco joint and have eaten there many times. Never disappointed. Tacos are top notch as is the service. Consuela's pork empanadas are delish, actually all their empanadas are delish. They make a mean Margarita as well. Kid friendly since they have a children's menu. A small place and fills up quickly so keep that in mind if you are thinking about going there. Also keep in mind it has a bar right next to many of the tables and it can get loud. This is mostly after 6pm, lunch and anywhere up to 4pm it is fairly quiet with no wait for a table. Not a pure Mexican style restaurant, but more of California style. Menu is varied and very reasonably priced.

Fun atmosphere and fun service! The drinks were pretty good and I liked the salsa and guacamole. However the burrito was really subpar. Rice and meat were overcooked and not a lot of flavor.

When we first arrived there was a couple looking in through the window. One said, 'there's only two people seated, let's go somewhere else.'. That was their mistake. We had read the reviews, we knew where we were going. Probably seats 30 with a nice vibe and decor for a taco bar. Birria tacos were amazing. A thin shell that was sturdy and tasty too. The beef great, the sauce too. By the time we left our late lunch there were 10 inside. Great food, we'll be back.

Google
Food & cocktails were very good - had the classic Cali fish tacos, blackened " mahi mahi " seared tacos 🌮 & the Cabo fish tacos, also the pork empanada, loco frites & the Ho Brah house salad 🥗 - I suggest the avocado 🥑 ranch dressing ( only disappointment was the long wait - but everything was very fresh ) The frozen cucumber 🥒 margerita was delicious- so was the fresh squeezed lemonade & the blueberry margerita ( NOT from a mix - all very fresh & delicious 😋 ) Another disappointment is I couldn't try the churros or the Tres leches desserts because they were out of them ( oh well, I'll have to go back another time to try them ) The other " disappointment " is the place is very small ( wish they would consider expanding to the corner location where the middle eastern kebab place used to be or where lobo loco used to be- if they are available) I know you don't go to a bar or restaurant for their bathroom, however, as a woman whose pet peeve is a bathroom with low lighting, it was practically being in the dark. Overall, fun, local " Mexican " place ( oh, almost forgot, our server Simone was very nice - it seemed at 1st she was not in a very good mood, but then was sweet & friendly)

I went here twice in one week, one for a Mother’s Day dinner (husband surprised me) and one happened to be a planned lunch date with a friend. I went in on Mother’s Day for the first time and we went with our baby, the servers all made sure to wish me a happy Mother’s Day which I greatly appreciated. The food was great, the best thing was the nachos so be sure to get their nachos! We almost wish we hadn’t ordered tacos and only got the nachos because they were so filling. The food came out pretty quickly and multiple servers asked us how everything was. I went again after Mother’s Day on a Tuesday. I found out it was taco Tuesday so buy two and get a third free. We ordered nachos and then decided to get three tacos (one each and then split the third). The server was kind enough to have the third taco split in half for us instead of telling us we couldn’t get the promo which most places probably would’ve done. We both went with our babies but I had my stroller, the one negative I would say is that there isn’t a lot of space to have the stroller out and allow people/staff to walk past so the server kindly folded the stroller for me and put it in the back. Overall, I had a great experience both times and will definitely be back.

Yelp
Came here with a friend to grab some tacos and I would not come back here again. The only good thing was the Korean pulled pork taco; that was the only thing I would get again if I was in the area. Their Al pastor was not it and it tasted off.. Guac and chips; 3.5/5.. Their chips were a bit stale and I did not enjoy their bland guac :(! Overall; I would try their other items. However, I would stay away from their guac & chips & Al pastor.

Yelp
I thought I'd give this spot a try after hearing it was a good spot for some good. I wanted to try something other than tacos and saw that the Duke was a hit. I ordered it with the KBBQ meat and a quesadilla to go. First off this thing is massive. A burrito the size of a mini football doust in some red sauce that tasted like a birria. It was a good experience but I didn't think this was an item for me as I wouldn't order it again The quesadilla was good. Everything I'd expect and the chicken was cooked very well with a crispy shell. Overall it was okay. Nothing bad, but nothing great.

Arthur A.

Yelp
We've ordered delivery from this place several times and overall enjoyed the food. The quesadilla is really good, and the burritos, though not quite authentic, are solid. So when we had a chance, we definitely wanted to dine in. But the experience was a bit disappointing. It's a pretty small space: we waited about 30 minutes, which was pretty spot-on from the estimate we were given by the woman at the front. We ordered drinks and chips first, the server said something about how the drinks might've been mixed up, so he said he'd get us a second round. Very nice of him. Dude was funny. The food though wasn't that great. The chips and guacamole were really good. The guacamole was a little chunkier (which I like, rather than being smooth). Cocktails were decent, but not particularly strong or memorable. The birria that came with the birria tacos was pretty bland, actually. Not a lot of flavor. The tacos were actually better without it. They were pretty crispy too. The sizzling fajitas came with 4 corn tortilla and a good amount of food but it was really salty, especially the onions and peppers on the bottom. The atmosphere is a little too bro-y for us, but if that's what you're looking for, this is a good option in the neighborhood. But we'll probably stick to take-out or delivery from here.

Yelp
I could genuinely eat hobrah once a week and be satisfied. I loveeeeee this place. OMG GET THE CHURROS, THEY HAVE THE BEST CHURROS IVE EVER HAD IN MY LIFEEEEE. Not even joking, I dream about those churros. Burritos are fire. Guac is fire. Place is small and can get packed on a fri night, but somehow the wait is never more than 10mins. I love hobrahhhhhhhh.

Ling C.

Yelp
It was Taco Tuesday hence I decided to have lunch at this establishment. The atmosphere was laidback. My waiter was personable when I walked in. I asked for a table. Since it was a weekday lunch hour, I was seated immediately. Their taco special was amazing. I loved how fresh the fish was. I highly recommend coming here,

Alissa M.

Yelp
I have no complaints about Ho'Brah! I used to come in frequently for their delicious frozen margaritas but now that I don't drink anymore I can still enjoy their eats!! Yummy food for reasonable prices with a good range of options. Definitely recommend for casual dining in Bay Ridge

Francesca C.

Yelp
Wow has it been that long since I came here? Well yes, frozen margheritas are always amazing. The decor is entertaining and the food is delicious. Today we ordered so much and for the first time I had a salad here, the Bay-J or j-bay with grill steak and the cilantro lime vinaigrette and it was bomb! I'm always impressed when I come here. The staff is always amazing.

Charles B.

Yelp
Nicely designed spot with a seemingly vibrant little bar scene. Great energy from the staff and owners that makes you feel welcome and enjoy the experience even more. We sat outside where they've got a great enclosed setup and a stand-alone table right in front of the storefront window since we had a puppy with us. The birria tacos were amazing. Really. Must try them and I'll be returning for them. Good portion size and simply delicious. The mahalo bowl was another winner, though the birria tacos could outshine even something this good. A bit of heat in the sauce for this bowl, but not too much heat for the average diner. A decent amount of shrimp and, again, a very good portion size. We'll be back. And bringing friends.

Andres H.

Yelp
Small spot but very welcoming and has an amazing vibe to it. The margaritas are some of the best I've ever had, with multiple flavors (very fresh). The food is delicious. I sat at the bar and the bar tender was super friendly and attentive. This spot is overall great!

Jae T.

Yelp
The service sucks. There are signs that say " see hostess to be seated " I waited around for a while, couldn't tell who worked there. I eventually asked the bartender and he seemed clueless. We sat ourselves outside; then went inside to ask how do we order. After about 15-20 mins someone came. The drinks are good, and nachos, def recommend. Not sure about the tacos. We had some Long Beach all star and bohemian tacos. The meat was bland. The Long Beach all star was a little too wet for my liking and the steak pieces were cut big and thick for a small tortilla. Next time I'll just stick to drinks and nachos.

Vintage G.

Yelp
Service is terrible here. It's not first come first serve it's whoever they know that skips the line and gets seated. When confronted they claim the person(s) were there first. Once I can understand but twice? And I could not help notice the people that got served / seated first were white. Not liking the vibe here at all.

Wendy Y.

Yelp
Ho' Brah has been on my radar for awhile since I love anything Hawaiian. Since I ordered through Uber Eats this meal, I didn't really get to experience the restaurant's Hawaiian vibes. I shied away from their tacos and instead went for the Build Your Own Quesadilla since I wanted something fairly indulgent and cheesy. My quesadilla was a heavenly creation consisting of Korean bbq brisket, Chipotle crema, sauteed peppers, and avocado slices. I loved being able to pick all my favorite ingredients and really appreciated the generous amount of avocado they included. I do wish that the Korean bbq beef was the usual rib eye cut instead of a brisket, but a girl really can't complain too much when her food checks all the other boxes. Their Baja Street corn is a great side that whets the appetite with its tangy lime mayo and chili powder. The staff cut the corn off the cob into a container just as we requested so we could enjoy without an ensuing mess. Next time, I'm definitely gonna order more adventurously and try their seafood dishes!

Yelp
I came here a few years ago, & thought id give it another try with my cousin and 2 of our kids. & NEVERRRR again! We had reservations, we ordered food which took 1 whole hour to come out - when it came out it was COLDDDD- as if they left the food out in the kitchen to just sit there. My burrito was not only cold but it was Stale & bland. My cousin got fajitas & 80% of her plate was peppers & onions & it had like 3 pieces of meat and 2 shrimp. Even the chicken fingers were disgusting, they clearly were not fried properly cause I've never seen such LIGHT colored chicken tenders anywhere!!! How could you go wrong with chicken tenders? I DO NOT understand. People who were seated long after us received their food before we did. & the waitress seemed more worried about everyone else but us. How sad is that. Worst PART: The waitress took OUR bucket of utensils and tried to offer it to the party next to us & this WAS just beyond us. Not only that, we asked for chipotle ranch 3x before they brought it out. The waitress was NOTT attentive whatsoever. Overall experience was HORRIBLE!!! I would never recommend this spot to anyone. We always tip GREAT but this time around NO TIP. NADAA!!! sorry not sorry.

Yelp
Went Ho'brah BAYRIDGE for my cousins birthday. This place is a vibe! We had an amazing night. Our waiter Matt could not do enough for us. The bus boy was the sweetest always checking on us with a huge smile.

Ashley D.

Yelp
Hobrah is one of my favorite restaurants in Bay Ridge. Frequently go on Sundays for the good food and drinks but stay for the music!

Donna Z.

Yelp
Came here on a Sunday around 1 for a group of 6. It was pretty empty when we walked in but filled up as we ate our brunch. My significant other and I ordered of the Mexicali Brunch menu and got the Sunset Pork Hash and the Mexicali Biscuits. Our food wasn't anything special and it was pretty hard to get the waiters attentions. Our table was set up with 4 sets of utensils and plates and it was pretty hard to get the 2 additional sets, they made it seem like we were being a nuisance for even asking for it. Everyone just seemed bored of their jobs. Of note, my boyfriend does love their lunch specials where you can get a huge burrito with chips and salsa for $10.

Michele G.

Yelp
Absolutely delicious and very affordable. Ended up doing catering from here and had soo much food!! We did 4 types of meats- korean bbq, carnitas, chicken, and beef. My fav was Korean bbq, was quite surprised but it was amazing- definitely recommended. The takeout included beans (2 types), corn, pico, sauces, and more. This is absolutely perfect for a large gathering, and soo soo good. Can't recommend enough- and so much food!

Yelp
I've wanted to try this place out for awhile. The reviews were great and is nearby to my home; however, when I initially tried two weeks ago, they had no seating and when I inquired with one of the servers, she was very dismissive. With that being said, I decided to take my business elsewhere. Again, I tried this week, but decided I would just do take out. I walked inside and someone took my order, I still had an issue with the attitude of the server, as she told me, after she took my payment, I'd have to wait outside. I understand due to Covid, but she was relatively rude about it. Secondly, I waited outside in the rain for 15-20 minutes while she was chit chatting inside. I only ordered a rice and bean burrito, it shouldn't have taken that long. Lastly, while I was waiting outside I saw another server tell another patron that their seating time was up; again, it's not what she said, it was the sarcastic attitude she had with him. So it's clear the employees here aren't very friendly, I can look past that, if the food was good, but it wasn't. I ordered a rice and bean burrito and hated the rice. The only thing pleasurable thing about my experience, was the plantain chips in the bag. I don't believe I'd return here, I didn't care for the service, not the burrito. There are way too many other place to allow someone to be rude.

Yelp
I've been to Ho'Brah a handful of times pre-COVID-19 and it's always been a scene, to say the least - music blaring and filled to the rafters with Bay Ridge revelers [you know the type]. To say Ho'Brah is a whole in the wall is being generous. However, I have enjoyed myself there especially with a group of friends. The food has always been pretty good, the margaritas are excellent. Anyway, I love supporting local businesses, especially in Bay Ridge, so I ordered from Ho'Brah this weekend. The estimated time for delivery was about an hour which was about how long it actually took to come. I ordered a lot of food [for myself, yikes] so that was expected. The food was tasty, but it was all room temperature at best. Consuela's Empanada's Single [$4.25]: I think Consuela's empanada was the best out of all the things I ordered. This was one filled with pork, the salsa verde came on the side. The pork was sufficiently tender and spiced well. Though, I have to say that the shell was incredibly delicious. It was almost like shell of an egg roll without the grease. But alas, it was room temperature. Nachos [$10]: The nachos were really overkill. I didn't need an order of nachos, but an order is what I got anyway. The chips were really crispy and delicious, they would have been outstanding if they were still warm. The same goes for the melted cheese which at the point of consumption had congealed. I had to heat the whole thing up in the oven for like 20 minutes. The guacamole on top was more like smashed avocado [not a complaint!] and it was super fresh. The sour cream was also delightfully creamy and a relief after eating the jalapenos. The tacos, the Korean BBQ [$5] and the Long Beach All Star [$5], were both pretty small, with not a lot of filling. I loved the flavors in the Korean BBQ one as it's suppose to imitate well...Korean BBQ. The Long Beach All Star tasted mostly of bbq sauce and I didn't really taste any "char grilled" flavoring on the steak. It all came out to about $30 after tip. ***Another great place for tacos in Bay Ridge is El Puente Taqueria. They are truly a small business and family owned***

Julia C.

Yelp
So fun and delicious!! get the queso dip... I literally ate the whole thing by myself and wouldn't let my husband have any

Karen T.

Yelp
The food was disappointing, to say the least. I came here way before Covid and remembered the food being good. We ordered the guac and chips, lobster taco, fish taco, and beef burrito. The guac was way too sour and as we got to the bottom it was very salty. The chips didn't have a crunch and was rather stale or needed more time in the deep fryer. The lobster taco was very heavily seasoned and it didn't allow the taste of the lobster to shine through. The burrito had way too much lime and there was barely any meat. The fish taco was the only good thing but as I kept eating it, the sauce or whatever seasoning they used got to be a lot. Tldr: way too much seasoning in the food that just made it unenjoyable.

John Q.

Yelp
A very popular place with good food, good drinks and a nice atmosphere. A local favorite.

Kelly L.

Yelp
The waitress sits at the bar and texts and says come get me when you know what you want. Huh? .....and it took forever for two tacos to go. I felt like it was a chore for her to check on my food, strange vibe, won't be back. It's a decent joint to sit at but do not order food to go from here if you are in a hurry.

Danielle K.

Yelp
Ho'Brah has very attentive service. It is not my favorite ambiance for a night out but if you want a tasty meal it does the job. Honesty, my favorite part of the meal was the spicy margaritas. It is definitely a popular local spot in bay ridge

Anna L.

Yelp
Best Mex Restaurant in bay ridge. This plays blows the competition away, a little on the smaller side but this place is ran well, clean, foods awesome & so is the staff

Joujou N.

Yelp
5 stars Don't walk runnnn literally call and make a reservation -this spot is hopping and popping Everything was on point from the host to the waiter to the table staff to the amazing food. Everything was absolutely delicious and fresh. The restaurant is clean-staff follows strict covid rules-food comes out quickly-staff is attentive to every table and the food is amazing. Enjoy the pics

Rachel T.

Yelp
Been a fan of Ho' Brah for many years and haven't had the luxury of dining in for a while due to COVID. My husband suggested we stop by since we were in the neighborhood. We had the lobster Mac and cheese which was just ok, but the accompanying plantains were great. The Duke Wet burrito was massive and yummy along with the tacos. Unfortunately the Baja street corn lacked in flavor. Also had their frozen margarita which is always on point. Great little spot to visit in Bay Ridge, Brooklyn.

Thomas R.

Yelp
Great renditions of Southern California style Tacos! Always fresh and worth waiting for!

Briana H.

Yelp
Was feeling a little homesick for my mama so my husband googled Hawaiian food in Brooklyn and I tried to tell him it doesn't exist. This place popped up. Maybe the food is great but I still think it's messed up to coop another groups food and culture to try to make your generic taco spot less generic. No thanks.

Linan C.

Yelp
Great place for Mexican around bay ridge! They have great customer service and you can ask for refill of chips!!! The price is okay considering it by bay ridge and you can get it better on the city. But definitely a spot if your not in the city!

Brian M.

Yelp
I've been coming here for many years and for some reason never wrote a review. I come here about once a month. It's a nice place to come to. It's cozy, the decorations transform you into a California beachy, surfer feel. The service is ok, it been going down a bit over the past 2 years. On my latest visit if it wasn't for the hostess I would have given them 3 stars. There were two of us and only one ordered a corn chowder soup. We also ordered the lobster taco's which were a daily special and a chicken burrito. All the food came out together when the soup should have come out first. The waitress passed by the table and did not ask how things were until we were finished. She never refilled the water either. My 4 stars is based on the quality of the food and my previous experiences. The hostess is great I am sorry I missed her name. On a previous visit there was an older heavy set man with a beard who over the summer never greeted us to put us on a list when we came in. His shift was over st 5 pm and just left not telling anyone. Either he is not working for them or may be in the branch in Staten Island. Either way they need to be more consistent with service. Now to the food..the food is good and I believe prices are fair. I've had better although the taste is always consistent. I like their red sangria, it's my favorite from the local restaurants I've been too. I never had a burrito here before as I usually order tacos which are all good. The burrito was very good and filling. The corn chowder and shrimp soup is always good. They serve complimentary chips and salsa which are also good. I've had their nachos, Empeñadas, fajitas and they are all very good. You should leave their content. This restaurant is my preference as I would never recommend Lobo Loco down the block. I see they have 4 stars on Google and I gave them a 1. Stay away from them. Over priced and the management does not care about their customers or workers. I would recommend the Bay Ridge Brooklyn location, I have not tried Staten Island yet.

Jane M.

Yelp
Came in a Tuesday night around 9pm and this place was packed but thankfully my group of 5 was able to be seated right away. I had come here before for a drink but never tried the food. My friends and I ordered the big khalua fries which I highly recommend. It's basically French fries topped with pulled pork, guac, jalapeños, tomatoes, and pickled onions, and it's very delicious! For entree, I got the Korean bbq taco and the lobster taco. I guess on Tuesday nights, the Korean bbq taco is $3 which is half price. I meat was seasoned well and I loved the bean sprouts in the taco. The lobster taco was also delicious. It was filled with huge chunks of buttered lobster and topped with a sauce that complemented the lobster meat well. The only real critique I have is that the tacos came out kind of cold as if it was just sitting in the kitchen and the tortillas were a bit soggy. However, the filling made up for these issues and I would definitely be back to try the other things on their menu.

Yelp
Hey .fellow Yelpers" Just wanted to share the Good News"..My Credit Card Company'..advised me.. this morning! They reversed the alleged bogus charge, that Ho Brah' Bay Ridge'. said was declined on my credit card! As soon, as it posted to my Mastercard' they reversed it! They had every intention, the Merchant of the above mentioned business, to get double payment from my card and cash upon delivery too! However, it didn't workout they way expected for them! I tried calling them to resolve the charge that appeared on my card app! Nevertheless, the owner .Alan L. kept denying that he received approval code. Therefore, he tried to gaslight me, into thinking everyone else was wrong, but him! At this juncture, I am done with these ruthless people." I'll continue purchasing food from more reputable and grateful Restaurants' in our area! Once again, thanks for the comments and reading my blog!

Yelp
Omfg; this is super long. Tldr; tasty, good drinks, crap management, if after 8pm fughetit they're either full, or closed, or amazingly, both. The food is great. The margaritas area great. In fact I used to be a happy, weekly, regular; for many, many years, when working in NYC. But then! Then their open hours became just shrug whatevs random. This didn't used to be a thing until 7? 8? months ago. Fine if a business wants to shut orders or kitchen at 9pm - that's fine - business is what it is - just let people know. Before those people check your open times and then walk over for 10+ blocks. And another 10+ back. Maybe put the hours on the door. Or have the employees know when you are, or are not open, so said employees can communicate this information. Three times, since July, at this point, that I check the internets, or literally ask the staff same day "when do you close", then show up an hour+ early and oh they closed half an hour ago. Just this past week, one fine night, they were open for the next 40 minutes according to their staff, except they were also already closed according to the exact same staff member. I'm not smart enough to understand how that is possible. I know, I can just order takeout, but think about it for a moment - I walked there for some reason didn't I, instead of ordering from Uber, from home, and having them be paid less, and not get tipped. Short story, decent for lunch, and wildly unpredictable for dinner which makes this story a hard no. Much as I enjoy a 30 block round trip walk, thanks but nah. P.S. The hours on Yelp, and Google, are listed as till X pm. And the folks working there say they have no control over that. Maybe! However the hours on their own site are also listed as X pm. And yet if I show at X - 90min pm they're closed. Can't control that either? Really? Look if you wanna close at 830pm just say so instead of putting up 11pm hours.

Yelp
A great spot for Cali-Mex, super cute décor, great drink menu, and all the Mex you'd want from a Mexican restaurant. The inside is small, so beware if you're trying to go with a group of 6 or more although they have outdoor seating, which could def accommodate a big crowd. Also, they offer table chips and salsa, can you say win? I can, I love a little snack before I even order anything, it's a great peek into how the experience is going to go. I didn't get any fun drinks because I was driving, lame I know, but someone has to be DD, so maybe next time, yes there will be a next time! Started off with the wings, super delish, cannot remember which ones, but they were very crispy, and sauced just enough, again not one was left on the plate. The bae got the Mission Bay burrito with bohemian chicken, and he was nothing short of drooling; he'd been on the hunt for a Cali-Mex burrito, and let's just say he was pleasantly surprised and beyond pleased. So was I because he cannot order anything w/o me trying some (obvi) it was excellent I actually finished the rest of it (sorry not sorry). It was hot, big, rice was cooked perfectly, and everything melted together so nicely, I love when food is hot (temperature-wise). Ok, so I got the BOHEMIAN taco; lime braised chicken, California coleslaw, salsa verde, diced white onion, chipotle crema, and the CAPTAIN JACK; panko crusted shrimp, jack & cheddar, pickled red onions, cali cole slaw, chile lime sour cream. The tacos were good, but they were so stuffed with all the add-ins that I could barely taste the protein itself-- they were just too filled IMO. Tasty, sure, but I would have liked if there was a bit less of everything; I kind of wish I got the burrito. OH, I ordered a diet coke and it was flat and had a weird taste this has been happening every time I go to a restaurant, I think I'm just going to have to give up on the soda. Service was good, food was good, the experience was great!

Yelp
1.5/5 My bf and I were eyeing this place for a while and we finally got the chance to drop by today. We were seated promptly. This place is loud and it's hard to hear each other from across the table. This isn't surprising. We got nachos without knowing they give a free side of chips and extremely watered down salsa. I'd be surprised if they made their own salsa in house given how low quality it is. I went to the bathroom and passed the kitchen on the way and it LOOKS UNCLEAN AND UNSANITARY. The nachos themselves were extremely mediocre. There was cheese on only one or two nachos and you're better off making it at home instead of paying $14 for it here. The worst part is that these nachos were the best part of the meal and they were decent enough that we finished it since we hadn't eaten the whole day. The tacos were disgusting. My bf who is basically like a garbage disposal when it comes to food couldn't finish any of these tacos and was beyond disappointed. The taco meat was unseasoned and dry. They were slathered in sauce that masks the taste of the tasteless meat. And they were extremely overpriced at $5 or $6 a piece for a tiny taco. Most taco places give two tortillas and at least a few lime wedges but this place did neither. Take your money elsewhere for tacos because this place is awful. We will never be coming to this place again. The only positive thing was our waiter who was pleasant and that our water was kept full the entire time.

Yelp
A basic Mexican food restaurant in the hustle and bustle of Bay Ridge. When not in a pandemic, Ho'Brah has large open windows during the summer so the front of the bar is exposed. It is a gathering place for young people on a typical Saturday night. It can be rather lively here. The food is very basic and lacks authenticity. I wish I could give a better review but after coming here several times I continue to have the same experience. The margaritas are OK but somewhat disappointing. Ho'Brah is a good spot for a drink on a summer night, but it's not a place I would recommend for tacos, a burrito, or taquitos.

Yelp
Can't go wrong with anything on the menu. The Bobbi Burrito is my favorite with a Sangrita to wash it down.

Yelp
If you want reallly goooooood nachos and specialty tacos.... And the best frozen margaritas evaaaaa, swing by bay ridge and try Ho' Brah out! They were very responsive during covid quarantining time and the food has always remained super yummy and delightful! The margaritas always leave me tipsy/drunk by the end of the night LOL. If you're ever going out to eat there just expect a bit of a wait but it's always worth it. They try to seat you as fast as they can but still being considerate to those who are still dining. Check them out!

Yelp
Went to this location for the first time. Talking about always loving the Staten Island one. This location wasn't so great. Walked in and asked a server to be seated, he told me that they were full for the night. It was around 7 pm and he told me, we can order to go. My Boyfriend and I did so. As we were getting our food a group of 3 girls came in asked to be seated and got a table right away. I don't know if it was the fact that the were white and we weren't but I didn't like the fact that I was told they weren't taking anyone for the night, then took a table of 3. When we were a table for 2. Seeing on Yelp they are open till 11 pm so how could that be. Coconut frozen margarita was good. Don't like being disrespected. Spent $60 on take out. Would have been more if staff knew what they were doing. Classic treat People of Color badly move. Not okay when you're selling food originally made from People or Color.

Yelp
Food 4/5 Atmosphere 5/5 Service 5/5 Cool and quirky taco spot in the Bay Ridge area. They serve a variety of tacos and all were reasonably priced. I ordered two different fish tacos. Both were delicious but I must say I have had better. Service was quick and efficient. The waitress had us seated quickly and water and complimentary chips/salsa were brought out almost immediately. Atmosphere is quite nice. A bit dark but gives it an intimate and rustic feel. I enjoyed it. After dinner we moved over to the bar for happy hour. They have delicious margaritas and a variety of flavors. I chose the jalapeno margarita and very much enjoyed it.

Yelp
These men are met with resistance, bad reviews and efforts to ruin a business, colliding with a reviewer's solo opinion. A challenging business for them and I'm the worst of their patrons. Given what they've accomplished in Bay Ridge, Brooklyn; the paramount of respect is deserved. The food is bazaarly good at Ho'brah. Given the limitations of the space in the kitchen. It's outstanding and deserves respect. The food has a similar tone at their now adopted Italian restaurant, Tuscany Grille. I will leave an honest retort on this one as I spent 1 year in Italy cooking and am bias. It's not great. But a quality experience for the someone on a dime. Kettle Black is another institution owned. Now this one is a precious jewel of the neighborhood in Bay Ridge. This is a quintessential Bay Ridge Irish Bar. You won't find me as a patron there, but the beers and the hospiataikty aren't to be missed. If you find yourself on 3rd street in Bay Ridge, this corner ain't such a bad place to spend the night out, rubbing elbows with the locals and getting fed great food without breaking a "city" budget"

Yelp
Margarita Monday's!!! Prices are 5/6/7 depending on the flavor. The bartender, I believe her name was Jovan is very sweet and attentive. Option to order a flight of frozen margaritas. Two of my favs are ginger pineapple and jalapeño + cucumber. Tacos are fresh and their nachos and burrito is pretty large. Pricey for some Mexican food, but worth it for the tasty drinks. If you're at the bar and only want drinks, they serve you chips and salsa.

Yelp
Although Ho Brah is well known for their tacos and other Mexican Food, we only came into this establishment to have after dinner cocktails once we left The Kettle Black (they have the best boneless chicken wings ever! ) located next door. Ho Brah is a quaint, delightful upbeat place with a hostess that seats you. Colorful decor and cool lighting are within this eatery as well as cute seating arrangements. It gave me a warm, cozy and inviting feel once I entered and sat down. We opted to be seated by the bar and we had such a gracious bartender explain the various cocktails written on a chalkboard above the bar. I chose the Margarita "Flights" ($16) which consisted of four mini Margarita drinks - Strawberry, Mango, Blueberry and Sour Cherry, which was the Flavor of the Day. The drinks were not watered down and were nice and strong! Let me just say that the Sour Cherry and the Mango Margarita Flights were my favorite! You can also get these same flavors in a regular sized glass. I happened to return last night for a 2nd visit. Although I was going to try their Pineapple Express those Margarita Flights kept calling my name-lol. Last night's Flavor of the day was Passion Fruit....yummy! Hopefully, I will want the Pineapple Express next time! -lol.

Yelp
I discovered this place during quarantine and I would highly recommend it especially if you follow a gluten free diet. Just a note to ask your own questions about their food preparation as everyone with a gluten allergy has a different sensitivity level. I have not had any reactions eating here and the food is really delicious. The staff is very nice and helpful. They are usually very busy so the food can take a little long but you have their delicious chips, salsa, and guacamole to tide you over. The tacos are flavorful and very delicious.

Yelp
Had a great meal! The queso app is delicious and the fajitas were perfectly seasoned! Margaritas were wonderful too! Will definitely be back.

Yelp
tacos are creative and more fusion than traditional, small and tasty on some, some had too much mayo in it. the avocados they used for guacamole were old and chips were stale, margarita are abit water down in my opinion for what they charged. they have outdoor seatings right by side walk w barricades. they also charged you for extra salsa we asked for multiple tacos we ordered. they don't have happy hours. I probably won't return anytime soon given all the other options nearby
