Tried the pistachio-matcha and chocolate milkshake — both were absolutely delicious! Staff were super friendly and had great energy. Even though the place was busy, there was still plenty of space to sit and enjoy. Definitely worth the visit

Google
Great ice cream place with their tourbillon as their signature specialty. We tried the pistachio matcha, the brownie one and the apple crumble. They were very generous with the fillings and the ice cream is very smooth and creamy. There was a lineup both times we came but the service is pretty quick.

Absolutely loved our experience at L'Hoche Glacé! The ice cream is incredibly fresh and tasty, with generous portions and beautifully creative presentations that make every order feel special. The value for money is excellent, especially considering the quality and care put into everything. The place is always busy, which just shows how popular it is—and for good reason! The atmosphere is fun and welcoming, service is fast and friendly, and the owner is very present and customer-focused. A great touch: every staff member addresses you by name after taking your order—it makes the whole experience feel personal. Highly recommend if you're in the area, and we’ll definitely be back!

It’s the best treat after roaming around the Olympic stadium (botanical garden, biosphere, insectarium and planetarium) it’s less than 10 minutes away from the parking lot! There’s on site parking which you can try to park, but it’s usually full, so try parking on the street (it’s free)! We went and tried the matcha pistachio for the first time and it was amazing! Definitely coming back to try their other flavours! My personal go-to is the affogato, it’s super delicious! Highly recommend!! ❤️

Google
Pistachio matcha tourbillion was quite literally just vanilla soft ice cream with a weird amount of matcha powder and then whole pistachios…(i.e. you could make this at home and it would taste the same🤩🤩) not really a standout for me at $11+. Very aesthetic and looks great in pictures but the flavour really isn’t anything special.

Google
Loved the pistachio ice cream topped with matcha powder! The flavors blend perfectly — not too sweet, just right. I also enjoyed the crunchy pistachio pieces inside. A refreshing and well-balanced treat. Will definitely come back!

Google
Super cute local ice cream shop. Staff were very efficient despite the number of people who were lined up. However the price for ice cream wasn’t great (21$ for the smallest ice cream and a tourbillon). The ice cream was also not very cold. It could’ve been the weather (it was very hot the day we went) but the tourbillon melted within 5 minutes (it became a soup).

Google
The matcha and pistachio Tourbillon, how can I even describe it? Green upon green, lusciously sweet, emerald, nutty dust rolling over the frosted body as snow on a mountain top. A delicate crunch of pistachio punctuating the soft cold, like gently stepping on a rock in a riverbed (you will need to really like pistachio and very sweet things for your experience to be this poetic). The apple crumble ice cream was equally unique and delicious: [insert poem here]. A lovely location with great staff, et bien sûr, des glaces incroyables (obviously). Although as some other reviewers have commented, the prices are a bit too steep.

Yelp
Hoche Glacé is an amazing ice cream shop. Probably the best in Montreal. Very high quality ice creams, soft serves and sorbets. The selection of flavours is awesome. The staff is very nice too.

Yelp
There is no wrong type of weather for ice cream. We go rain or shine... Or storm. And that's what we did. We made our way to an industrial looking area of Hochelaga and the understated facade of @hocheglace. Sorrounded by a wide outdoor seating area (which we couldn't use... because rain) they have quite the extensive menu with many flavours and sizes of superb ice cream and toppings, sorbets, slush, lattés, frappés and even coffees!

Yelp
I've been looking for a great soft serve vegan/gf ice cream and i have found it!!! With the recent heat wave my search has intensified and found great little place that serves all kinds of goodies. I have to admit it's a little further than i would like but it's probably better for my waistline anyways. I will def go back a couple of times this summer to give their other concoctions a try. Back again this year, i tried the flavor of the day Matcha soft serve with dark chocolate coating....absolutely delicious, so glad to be able to have ice cream being lactose intolerant, will definitely return this summer!!

Yelp
THIS PLACE!! I come basically every time I'm in Montreal -- their vegan soft serve is great, but the dip really makes them stand out. It's way thicker than at other places I've visited. I really want to try their vegan froyo at some point.

Yelp
The shop is adorable and the concept is genius. The ice cream is great but the brownie was so dissapointing, it was dry and lacked chocolate flavor! I've made and had so many gluten free brownies and this one is defenitely the worst I've ever had. The banana score icecream was good. I'll try going again one day to taste another flavor. I hope to update this rating!

Yelp
A wide variety of vegan flavours, including hibiscus soft serve and several dips! I loved the vegan soft serve, it was full of natural fruit flavour (and the consistency reflected that). It was sweet but not in an overwhelming way. Location close to Viau metro

Yelp
I love this place. Its twice I come here so far. The first time I tried vanilla vegan ice cream "Tourbillion" with Reeses Pieces and Cookie Dough. The ice cream was really tasty and felt light. If you're wondering what vegan ice cream texture is like, its more like frozen Milk vs frozen cream. Its actually really delicious. If you love thick ice cream, vegan might not be what youre looking for. Today I tried their " Parfait " with regular dairy ice cream. I was Very very satisfied. The chocolate syrop is delicious and so was the ice cream itself. Great and quick service too!

Yelp
After a long day of walking around the botanical gardens this place was just what we needed! The cherry slushy and vanilla ice cream with salted caramel sauce were both delicious! The staff was friendly and spoke English (we were traveling from Philadelphia) and there was indoor and outdoor seating.

Yelp
Cool concept-crèmerie with some vegan options , but you must repeatedly specify that you want vegan-we had to have a tourbillon remade over some confusion. It was packed on a Saturday afternoon and it wasn't really clear where to order or wait. Hopefully in a few months they'll be more organized!

Yelp
Certainly off the beaten path, but we loved Hoche Glace. We recently visited Montreal from NYC and basically tried to eat as many vegan things as possible. The options here were great and the staff seemed totally knowledgeable, despite some other reviews to the contrary and the fact that we cannot speak French. I loved the hard-shell topping and thought the ice cream was great! Totally similar to other vegan soft-serve I have had in many other places.

Yelp
I only tried the vegan ice cream, so if you eat dairy you can take this review with a grain of salt. I was really excited to try a place that offered vegan ice cream in multiple forms - blizzards, banana splits, sundaes, etc, but unfortunately the form of the dessert couldn't make up for its substandard quality. The vanilla vegan soft serve tasted mostly like sweetened water. Its consistency was icy and it melted almost immediately (much faster than other non-dairy ice creams, including soft serves, that I've had before). I realize that they're new and probably testing out their menu at this point, so I would definitely give it a second chance if they offered something else - possibly coconut based ice creams? If nothing changes though, I unfortunately won't be returning.
