I love Hodgepodge Coffeehouse! Their new location in Decatur connected to MARTA's Avondale Station is super cute but can be hard to find. You'll have to go up 1 flight of stairs on Cortland Decatur East property. WIFI info is in a pic attached below. As of July 2021, indoor seating is not allowed and masks are to be worn inside. Outdoor seating options are available. I can't wait to see what this space becomes with more time!

Baristas went out of their way to make me another coffee and help me find a coffee order I really enjoyed. They are also so kind and welcoming. The food is great and I’m happy to find a coffee order I love.

Was very excited to see a coffee shop open up in the neighborhood. I'm still glad for its presence, but sometimes I'm left wanting a bit more. I would give 3.5 stars, if that were possible. Pros: - Easy walk if you are in the neighborhood. - The baked goods are tasty, they have a variety of meat patties (Jamaican style) as well as savory popover type pastry. - Staff are pretty cool. The meh stuff: - Consistency and quality with drinks is spotty. The milk in my last latte was warmed barely above room temp. Not sure if they have thermometers at hand, but they should and use them every time for a consistent temp. - Weird hours -- I get it, no need to stay open if your costs are more than your revenue. Recently they've changed hours from 5 to 4, unbeknownst to me. I'm literally walking in the door at 4:01 and the employee says "we're closed," pulls the door shut, and locks it. Funnily enough I only wanted a bottle of juice....not a complicated espresso-based drink. All in all, I'm glad Hodgepodge is there. But it's kind of like that one flaky friend, they're really cool and you like hanging out, but you can't count on them to be there when you need them.

Ducked into hodgepodge to escape the rain today when leaving the Marta station. I was so pleasantly surprised to discover this coffee shop. The staff were extremely kind and welcoming as we came in out of the rain. The coffee was good, and the baked goods looked tasty as well, although we did not try them. They asked for patrons to wear masks while ordering, and even provided masks at the door. Masks were not required indoors while eating/drinking. Shop was really cute inside. I’ll be back to visit for sure.

This is my go-to coffee shop no matter where I am. Even if there are 10 shops I pass on the way, I come here to get something for take away or to hang out. Why? The coffee is excellent, yes. The vegan spinach patty and vegan cookie (more like an awesome brownie) are mouth-watering. But why here? It’s the baristas who work there. There is not a single person who works there who hasn’t brightened or benefited my day in some way. Whether it’s an excited salutation and conversations about music, community events, or tattoos and trips or it’s the silent and somber understanding after a tragic recent event where few words are spoken but true reciprocated empathy is felt. It’s the people at this location that make Hodgepodge College Avenue the place I will always return to. The welcoming nature is also a safe place. What I mean by that is in every sense of the words.

Hodgepodge is my favorite coffee place in Atlanta. The atmosphere is wonderful. The staff is kind and thoughtful. The coffee drinks are absolutely superb. The food options are tasty - and they have plenty of vegan options. This place always feels like a special treat and I could not be happier that it is in my neighborhood.

Saved my relationship after being out all night, drew hearts of my coffee cup for my gf! And helped hand select the perfect coffee and treats for her!

Awesome coffee spot for locals and MARTA riders. Plus right next to Cremalosa so you can get an espresso to fight that sugar crash. They have great snack and pastries too. Super clean place with great indoor and public available outdoor seat as well.
