Hoffler Place

I had such a wondering experience at Hoffler Place. The property is exquisite and the staff are top notch! Perfect location on King street which allowed me to walk to a lot of great restaurants and night life! Highly recommend to all CofC students!

I'm extremely disappointed with the quality of my apartment. The carpet is disgusting and despite repeated assurances that it would be replaced, no one has shown up. Reaching out for updates has been met with silence. Moving in, I found the appliances were not cleaned at all. The dishwasher had glass, food, and mold in the filter, which I had to clean myself. The washing machine is also full of mold. Additionally, the windows were covered in mold one window is cracked and the couch has noticeable stains. We were told the unit was move-in ready, which is clearly not the case. It’s ridiculous how much money I pay to stay here, given these unacceptable conditions.

Hoffler suffers from poor management and lack of concern for residents. New and old management the same. It feels as if owners, aware of the demographic of college kids, put in as little effort towards the care for the building and units. Outside of feeling, the building lacks a maintenance closet. Their are no backup parts for anything whether it be a broken cabinet, fridge, stove, microwave, etc. I lived without a fridge for nearly two months after notifying the building due to these poor conditions. I then received another units fridge that was heavily damaged and lacked an ice machine. I also had a clogged garbage disposal. I was told I had “a strong nose” after pointing out a smell in the room. I was then forced to fix the issue myself. To add to this problem, the maintenance team consisted of a single person for the entire building. This mismanagement could be excused if not for the extremely overpriced premium placed on rent. Below are a list of smaller issues that show negligence to building care: Dirty and smelly carpets Messy hallways and trash chutes Rear parking lot damages cars Main Lobby renovations DURING MOVE OUT AND MOVE IN TIME. The combination of these issues with the premium price of the units makes me feel disappointed in owners feelings towards their residents. I would not recommend this place to young college students as it takes advantage of the influx of higher income students traveling into charleston. Stop gouging prices and rates, especially for college students.

Just moved daughter into a unit at Hoffler. The facility is well maintained, light / bright, and so friendly. The management team assisted us with our transition without hesitation. I Could not be more pleased with this complex!

Hoffler is the most beautiful apartment I have ever lived at. When I first was looking I toured with the manager Ashlyn. She made sure all of my concerns were addressed and showed me around this beautiful property. My favorite amenity is the pool. Everything about this complex is above and beyond and I could not asked for a better place to live. The staff also throws resident events which are always fun and often have free food!

Hoffler Place Apartments are a wonderful place to live. The apartment building is very nice and in a great location on King Street. Azaria Ervin is always there for any questions or concerns you may have. She always has a smile on her face and is so willing to help. It is so nice for a parent to know that there is someone there that is always willing and able to assist. Thank you Azaria!!

All I can say is WOW!! This property check all of the boxes. Exclusive apartment views, amazing pool and amenities. If you want to live in style, on the strip with everything I 100% recommend Hoffler Place Apartments. The staff is so friendly, and the service is top tier! The only thing I will say is that the apartment fills up so fast that you have to get a lease immediately if you want to live there.

Azaria was wonderful to work with regarding a new lease. She answered all of our questions and concerns with great detail. We live out of state and were not able to see the apartment in person, she provided a complete video tour and was very patient and kind. Great Experience and our daughter is very excited to move to Hoffler Place to start her sophomore year at Cofc
