Nestled in a leafy neighborhood just a stroll from downtown Fredericksburg, this charming B&B features cozy cottages, private porches, and a delightful breakfast delivered to your door.
"Stay here and you'll feel like you're in a friend's home. That is, if your friend cooked a mean breakfast and dropped it piping hot at your door each morning. Located in a more residential area, just far enough from the action of Fredericksburg, the B&B is in a two-story house and has additional rooms in nearby cottages. (Hint: it's a good place for a romantic weekend.)" - Diana Oates

"How did it strike you on arrival? With a large inviting porch, the two-story main house sits in a residential neighborhood. Several nearby cottages are also part of the hotel. What’s the crowd like?Couples of all ages, plus groups of women weekending in Fredericksburg. The good stuff: Tell us about your room.I stayed in the Ivy, a bright white room with a queen bed and private porch with rocking chairs. With a vaulted ceiling and natural light, the room feels airy and spacious. How about the little things, like mini bar, or shower goodies. Any of that worth a mention? No mini bar, but the room has a kitchenette with a coffee maker and mini fridge with bottled water. Please tell us the bathroom won’t let us down.In a nod to Hill Country, the bath products are lavender. The bathroom has a step-in shower. Room service: Worth it?Breakfast is included in the rate and left at your door at 9 each morning. Presented in a picnic basket, it is delicious and fresh. The menu changes daily—quiche (still hot when delivered), fresh breads, eggs florentine, sausage, and fruit. A limited room service menu includes a cheese plate ($15), charcuterie plate ($15), and tea service ($8). Staff: If you could award one a trophy, who gets it, and why?The staff is extremely attentive and friendly. Anything else you'll remember or that you loved? In the main house, there are often fresh baked chocolate cookies to grab on your way in or out. There's also a lending library with books and DVDs. Bottom line: worth it, and why?Upscale bed and breakfast that's a short walk to Main Street but far enough away to offer seclusion." - Allison Bagley
