Hog Heaven

I really liked it but just don't have anything to compare it to yet.. The sandwich was pretty darn good, bread was light with more meat ratio than bread. I think it just needed a lil more sauce, the sauce makes this sandwich good, giving it a kick. The Brunswick stew was ok I think. I didnt care for the cornbread. But I need to go here again because the locals got some desserts and ordered some ribs and other items on the menu.. And yes, unfortunately I already ordered before these other customers ordered. I was basically standing there pondering if what I ordered is good... I'll definitely come back to sample their other goodies before changing my star review.

Great little take out bbq joint. Perfect place to grab some lunch and sit in the centennial park right beside it. The white sauce on the pulled chicken was tasty, without being overpowering

The pork sandwich with white barbeque sauce was amazing. The food is delicious and the environment was very friendly and casual. It's a great place to stop for lunch if you're visiting the Nashville Parthenon.

YUM! Drove past this quaint little walk-up shop last week and argued with my husband about the 21+ sign on the building. Turns out, that was the bar next door. Don't be discouraged!! I had a pulled pork sandwich with their medium sauce, my son had a small pork with the "step up from ketchup" sauce, and my husband had pulled turkey with white and medium sauce. All of which were delicious. I even put some slaw on mine! Peach cobbler was the dessert, and every bite was amazing. The white sauce is fantastic!!! Medium sauce was just the right amount of bite, but not burn your tongue off spicy (I have a medium palate when it comes to hot stuff). We also tried the hot and extra hot sauces, which were very true to names! 10/10 would recommend, and 100% chance I will be returning!

SAD day 11-27-2019 Hog Heaven RIP we will miss your BBQ smoked chicken with hot white sauce. Gonna miss this wonderful Nashville Original. BBQ Pickle Spears gonna miss them....

Not the worst BBQ ever but far from great. The brisket was over cooked, stringy, hard and greasy. You will definitely need to use much sauce to get this stuff down.

The pulled pork was good but it just didn't have depth in the flavor. The BBQ sauce is vinegar based but unfortunately I've lived in KC and TX so it wasn't to my liking. It seems like a good quick lunch spot but there is not indoor seating and a lot flies bothering me. The cornbread is done like a smaller pancake which seems like a novelty. Too bad it didn't taste great. I may try this place again for the sandwich with coleslaw but with so many other options...

The Chicken is super dry and very under seasoned ...I couldn't finish it... never going there again..
