First of all, this isn't even an island anymore -- they filled in the channel to make the Philly airport. Second of all, to the degree that people even acknowledge its existence, it's as a center for heavy industry with a view of a particularly unflattering section of the Delaware. On the bright side, though, there's a story that the hoagie was invented here!
