This place was amazing! The food was absolutely delicious, and the service was top-notch. We had Cam as our cook, and he was extremely kind and also a truly talented chef. Everything was full of flavor! We’ll definitely be coming back the next time we’re in Vegas.

This was a takeout order. I got the beef Lo mein and rainbow roll. The sushi was amazing, very fresh large pieces of sashimi. The Lo mein was missing that extra bit of flavor which is why I docked a star. Otherwise it was fairly good and I’d order it again.

Google
This is a tough one to write because, the food is good, the service is good, small and cozy, but unfortunately they have raised the prices to where is just don’t not make sense anymore. Some changes: when you order the hibachi dinner there is a $4.00 up charge for fried rice? Used to be included, ordered a gin and tonic, $2.06 up charge for the tonic ? Really ???? The place was empty on a Friday night and now I understand why. 4 people $274.00 plus tip . All the prices are higher than 6 months ago. Cross this one off the list.

Our server did a fantastic job. Our chef made us delicious food. The filet that I had was amazing. It was my first time trying hibachi. It was wonderful. It was a group of 5 teachers celebrating the school year. The part that touched us all was the woman who was sitting at the same grill as us with her daughter. We went to pay the bill and found out she covered the bill for all of us. We were all humbled and shocked that someone would do that for us. It was so greatly appreciated!

Google
went here for Mother’s day and to my surprise no wait! It was great from start to finish - I have 0 complaints other than it was hot because every grill was on so can’t really prevent that .. more of just a heads up for other people who plan to go. My server was so sweet and attentive. She brought my baby an ice cold rag twice ( I didn’t ask for it). The food was so good - I got the filet + shrimp + fried rice , husband got the special with lobster+scallop+filet , we also ordered egg rolls. EVERYTHING was good. I mean it. My steak was cooked medium rare like I wanted, plenty of veggies/food overall for price we paid. Thank you guys for a great lunch!

Google
Terrible Service, Great Chef — That’s It Went to Hokkaido and had the worst service. Our server — either Ana D or Nycki (receipt had both names?) — was rude, ignored me and my family, and gave all her attention to the family next to us. She rarely checked on us, made us feel rushed, and charged my card for someone else’s bill. Unreal. Only good thing? The chef — super friendly and made the night bearable. If not for him, this would’ve been a total waste. Waitress.. Slow down, Do better.

A couple of weeks ago, my husband and I had dinner here, where the staff went above and beyond to make our evening special. They even surprised us with a complimentary dessert. The food was exceptional; we ordered the King Salmon, Jeju Halibut, Lobster Roll, and Dark Horse Roll. We highly recommend this restaurant.

My Birthday is January 1st so we always like to go here every year and celebrate cuz it's such a fun environment. The food was great this time as well. My friend had the lobster and steak and I had the chicken and steak and everything was prepared to order tasted perfect plenty of sauces. We had some itchy ichikirin beer And I liked it better than the Sapporo. We had a great time and we'll be back again next year. I live on the east side so it's a long ways for us to travel. But try it. You won't be disappointed and there's many many sushi rolls and even someone that prepares them to order.

Yelp
Had a graduation party for my son of 20 people and they were well organized. Jennifer set me up with a set menu for three teppanyaki area and custom made our own menu. I will be having more parties here in the future. Thank you for the excellent service and delicious toppings dinner.

Yelp
Everything about this restaurant is amazing. Visited a few times now and the ambiance can be very fun. Service with all of the staff is on point with great attention. Food quality is really good between the sushi and teppenyaki dishes. I ordered salmon nigiri, spider roll, and the filet migon/chicken plate. PK and Sam have made different sushi offerings and it was a great conversation with them at the bar. Great recommendations and insight as well from these guys!

Yelp
before i start my review i'd like to warn people that this place hands you your receipt at the end with two different columns, one price for cash and one for credit card. i wouldn't have been so upset had i been warned about this somewhere on their website or the menu i was looking at to order. i believe this is a sneaky thing to do. this restaurant should warn you about higher prices for each items ( including fountain beverages) if you pay with a card. i am leaving one star for our chef joseph as he was the only one that made our experience great. the food was mediocre. not the best flavor. the best part was the veggies. would recommend, umm no. would i come back, nope.

Yelp
Our Las Vegas friends took us here for our first time and it turned out to be a great night. The food, service and ambiance were all 5/5. This is a first experience in a neighborhood teppanyaki and it was a cozy and comfortable setting. We've only gone to casino/hotel based teppanyaki previously. Everyone ordered their own favorites for their main entrees, which all come with miso soup, ginger salad, white rice and seasoned vegetables. Fried rice is an upcharge item. I ordered the New York strip and shrimp combo. The steak and shrimp were cooked perfectly and had so much flavor, especially the shrimp. My hubby ordered their own new vegetable entree with a side of noodles and he loved it! Our friends ordered the Hokkaido land and sea and the Golden Knights combination plate and they loved their choices too. My friend's lobster tail looked great! Everyone was amazed and jovial (with our teppanyaki chef) Calvin's stellar cooking "performance." He truly made the evening fun as he prepared the meals. He is funny and has excellent knife, prep and cooking skills. He's a fun chef. Our server gal was also kind and wonderful with the attentive service she provided. Everything was truly delicious and the prices are reasonable for all of the food portions given. We loved this dinner outing with our friends. We will definitely return sometime when we're back in town and highly recommend to others.

Yelp
It was our first time at this restaurant we came here to celebrate my nieces 21st birthday. This restaurant is not as big as the other hibachi style restaurants such as Benihana and ohjah just to name a few but it was very nice. Our servers name is Ana and she was phenomenal. We never had to ask for napkins or get our drinks refilled she was On top of it. For starters we had the gyoza, egg rolls, spider roll and the soft shell crab and it' was all 10/10. We our main entree I had the ny steak and scallops. My kids shared the ny steak and shrimp each entree came with a salad with a ginger dressing and miso soup. A must try is their spicy sauce it was cooked with source yum yum sauce and some other spicy and the taste was different. Overall was a great experience and the food was on point!!!

Yelp
My friend Joe, who lives locally, recommended this place... on accident, mistaking Town Center with Town Square. Which explains why he was so late. 仕方がない ! Turns out that he thought the food was way better than the local chains near the strip, which he steered me away from, claiming it was teppanyucky. As it turns out, this place was even better than my normal place in Arizona, (Ichi Ban), which is about fifteen bucks more per combination. The garlic edamame, avocado roll, salad with ginger dressing, fried cauliflower, filet mignon, scallops, shrimp, and lobster (with mustard and ginger sauces) were all delicious. I told the chef it was my birthday, but I guess you need to tell the hostess if you want to get your scoop of ice cream with sparklers. To their credit, they offered it after I had already paid my check, but that would have been weird, taking sparklers to go. My wife watched the other chefs and said they had a few different tricks up their sleeve, so I think they should share their material. Ours just made it look like his thumb was cut in half and he pulled a shrimp out of my ear. No, not really, but my wife says the chefs differ, so choose wisely. Other notes; Service was great (they automatically add 18%). They will cook for the meatless patrons first. They have low-sodium soy sauce at the table. Plenty of parking, since it's in a quiet area. It seemed a little small and static, but at least we could hear each other talk, which is great unless you sit next to Erik. I do wish they had a bigger, more comfortable bar, but at least they have one, which comes in handy since they won't sit you at your table until Joe gets there.

Yelp
My family and I come here for our birthday parties and Christmas. We like eating at the hibachi grill because Chef Eddie always makes sure we have a good time and cook the shrimp the way we like it with the spicy sauce.

Yelp
Wow.! What an amazing place. Never been here before and wanted to take my kids out to an experience they have never had before. We ordered a lot from the menu to get the full experience.! Everything from lobster, scallops, shrimp, filet mignon and chicken, with a side of fried rice, and noodles. Also some vegetable tempura and dumplings. Our chef was amazing! He was very entertaining and did everything he could to keep the kids involved! There was plenty of FIRE.! It was great.! We made sure to make reservations and upon our arrival we noticed that our plates were already set.! It's definitely a fun experience, a bit pricey but definitely worth it. The staff is super friendly and very attentive.! I recommend coming out to enjoy this place wether date night or family dinner

Yelp
Dining it, this place is wonderful! Food and staff are awesome. However, when ordering to go, BEWARE! On multiple occasions I have had hair littered throughout my food, most notably the sushi rol

Yelp
I was fortunate to partake in the teppanyaki festivities with a large group. Since I was the lone vegan, my food was grilled first. I had the Vegetable Teppanyaki with tofu fried rice (no egg). The sauces are done just right, and the food is not oily at all. Our cook was personable and entertaining. The salad and miso soup are the most underwhelming I've ever had at a Japanese restaurant. The salad consisted of lettuce with barely any dressing. The miso soup had only a few small pieces of tofu, and no green onion. Vegetable Roll was good. Beer selection consists of Sapporo, Asahi Dry, Kirin, Kirin Light. However, Sapporo Black (schwarzbier) was my favorite. Hot sake was good. Decor, vibe, and service are good.

Gene H.

Yelp
I just ordered Chicken and Shrimp, fried rice, and tempura for delivery. What a joke, if I had gotten this meal at the restaurant, I would have just gotten up and left! It was not only extremely small portions but it was the worst Japanese food I literally have ever had! The worst! I can't believe I paid what I paid for that garbage!

Yelp
We went to have dinner to celebrate our friend's birthday and this place was hands down one of the best teppanyaki restaurants we've been to. Food was amazing. We ordered the Hokkaido land and sea with scallops. The chef made us his special sauce and it paired well with our food. Our server was very personable and attentive. The restaurant was very clean and lighting was perfect. We will definitely be back to dine here.

Yelp
My fiancé and I came here with some close friends on a celebratory double date and it was fun. The chef was friendly and it was your standard teppanyaki spot for a dinner outing. Honestly, it was memorable with the company we were with, but nothing about the food or service was extraordinary. We all ordered different plates with the chef and overall timing for the chef to cook everything was so staggered that my fiancé had to wait till almost the time the other three of us were done eating our steak/protein to get his steak plated to him. Service was pretty slow for drinks and we all had to wait quite a while for refills on tea or to order another beer and cocktail. I think for the price of the meal, the staggered serving time from the chef forgetting one order, and us waiting on drink service, the combined flops put a damper on the experience overall. Overall, an ok experience, but didn't compare to the better experience at Izumi Steakhouse. We have also only been here the one time, so it may have been an off night? I can see the appeal of this spot, but our experience just wasn't the best with our service provided. Food was ok, and I liked their sushi menu options and variety with the bar options!

Rose T.

Yelp
Great food! The chefs can be a lot of fun. Atmosphere is very welcoming. I enjoyed eating the teppanyaki especially the shrimp and steak.

Yelp
I had high hopes for this place based on the reviews. Not the worst but not the best. First off, my family and I have been to many Hibachi Teppanyaki places in the past, in many different states up until we became plant based/vegan. Every place we have gone, tasted consistently great! The flavors were spot on and food was just delicious at all the many we have been to. Unfortunately, this place let us down. Now, to be fair, I only had the vegetables and fried rice so I am basing my review on my dish. However, with that being said, cooking vegetables on a hibachi grill should have been the most easy and flavorful item to grill?! Anyways...the reason we went to here was to celebrate my son in law's 25th birthday. He has never been to a place like this and wanted him to experience it since we have had great experiences in the past at places like this. I am sorry to say, it was a let down. The guy cooking was nice, friendly, did his thing but that's about it. It was like going through the motions and not really trying to make it a memorable experience. To be fair, again, maybe it's because it was 8:30PM and he was ready to go home since they close at 10PM? Whatever the case maybe, I was expecting a little bit more enthusiasm, after all it was a birthday celebration. The service was good, the server took our order and filled our water glasses great. The chef was nice, funny at times, and respectful. The experience was a flop. The food was eh, I can honestly make this at home much better. At least my son in law liked his surf n turf, he say he liked the steak and lobster. My daughter had the chicken and shrimp, she said the chicken was dry but the shrimp was ok. Overall, I believe the flavor of the food was a disappointment. With that said, I may give this place another chance, but maybe in a couple years. Would I recommend this place, not really however, I did watch another table/chef so his thing and that guy seemed to enjoy his job and really put on a performance. If you are going for the experience, maybe not, if you're going for the food, maybe...just depends who's cooking it I guess. One thing the did get right was the complimentary birthday ice cream, that was nice. I really wish I could have given this place more stars, but this is my honest opinion.

Yelp
When we first arrived at the steakhouse, we were greeted pleasantly and she even moves our reservation because our party wasn't all here. Then we were seated and cocktails while the rest of our party arrived. We were greeted by chef cam! He put on a brilliant show where he showed his love for me and his cooking. We ate delicious food. My homegirl is even vegetarian and they had a delectable selection for her. Also had some carnivores part of my party and they had a great meat option for her, I had the fish option the butter cod. And we had a great night heavily recommend.

Yelp
Food was awesome and my kids enjoyed the "fire show" that the chef put on. We don't have any Teppanyaki back home on Maui so going to this was enjoyable. We got the lobster, steak and shrimp & and it was soooo good.
google avatar

Jaynar S.

Yelp
I DO NOT recommend this restaurant. We went to celebrate my cousin's birthday. We waited 10 mins for the rest of our party to arrive, yet the server continued to rush us to order. After our tepanyaki guy finished, the staff began turning chairs & mopping around us. The intense stench of the bleach-water ruined our meal! We didn't even finish eating, yet the server rushed us to order dessert. It was obvious they want us out to close 1.5 hours early. The only highlight was our tepanyaki guy was nice & entertaining. Unfortunately, we didn't enjoy the food because of the horrible treatment. FYI, the inside is spacious, with individual tepanyaki tables. Ruined my cousin's birthday; I will never come back. I DO NOT recommend.

Yelp
It was first time coming here thanks to the suggestion list found on my Yelp!!! I was craving hibachi and inviting my two dear nursing best friends to join me for a girls dinner date on this Sunday night! The layout was pretty spaced out and well thought out with seating arrangement. Our server and hibachi cook were absolutely amazing. The food was prepared very well and seasoned to my expectations. I ordered the Hokkaido Land and Sea with a side of noodles. I definitely can see myself coming back and recommending this location to others. I'd HIGHLY recommend to make reservations on their website as the best way to dine in! They also have a sushi menu with a solid selection of options to choose from! As a BIG hibachi fan, this restaurant is serving delicious food and is definitely worth the effort to make a visit to see it for yourself in the south area of Summerlin!!!!
google avatar

Maya T.

Yelp
Super impressed with this location. I've been to various Hibachi restaurants and this one was, by far, the best one. We were seated immediately and our server came by shortly after. Our drinks were full all night. He was super nice too, which was nice to see since we had such a big group. Our chef was so funny and personable. He kept us entertained the entire time while preparing our dinner. He was awesome. Food was outstanding! The filet was tender and tasted perfect. And great portions as well. Everyone enjoyed their entrees, which consisted of filets, shrimp, chicken and veggies. Everything was great! Definitely would be return. This place is perfect for special occasions.

Yelp
Pretty tasty hibachi spot. We happened upon this place right when they were opening at four, so there was no one else in the restaurant almost the entire time we were eating. When you walk in, you're greeted by a nice hostess and you see several Teppanyaki tables, but we chose to sit at a regular table. The food was really tasty and the service was pretty good. I wish they had real Sriracha but I guess there's a shortage of that in the world. Oh well, maybe next time. I had the golden Knights special which is basically steak, chicken, and shrimp with veggies and fried rice, all really good. We will be back and hopefully Sriracha will be back too. Also, the kid in me absolutely loved fresh cotton candy as a dessert. Great job.

Yelp
Had a wonderful family dinner here! Our chef Joseph was very kind and the food was prepped to perfection. He was attentive and sure to explain the food and sauces. Our server was also wonderful and circulated despite the cooking occurring. I ate up every single bit of food on my plate! All of us ordered the Land and Sea combo. I'd keep in mind the table and restaurant had quite dim lighting except for when the grill is on for the cook. Another quip was the ran out of green tea ice cream which was a big bummer because it would've been the perfect sweet treat but things happen right. Overall I'd definitely come back!

Raisa W.

Yelp
Great food. Good costumer service. Very friendly staff. Clean and pleasant atmosphere. Cooks are very friendly and fun to be around.

Yelp
We had been customers for years, but recently had to decide it was the last time. The restaurant is deteriorating before our eyes. They no longer have a way to keep the restaurant cool or they choose not to bump the temps down. They bring out these gross fans which aren't very effective and bring down the enjoyment level. Everything is run down and I mean everything. Not up to Summerlin standards, but charging Summerlin prices. They have flowing curtains that allow you to peer into the kitchen which does not look appealing, I've always thought this. Level of chefs is noticeable, some of the better ones have left. Lastly, one of the more senior in age chefs last visit would not stop making in appropriate comments to my tween daughters about boyfriends. I'd love to see them take this as constructive and make some big changes, surely we aren't the only people who have noticed they are no longer maintaining their business.
google avatar

Chole S.

Yelp
We have been coming here for a few years now and the family absolutely loves this place. The servers always remember my son's shrimp allergies and made sure the seafood was cooked last to accommodate him. I Recommend making reservations ahead of time for the weekends because they get full pretty quick. Thank you for all the fun and delicous meals you have done for us and looking forward to many more!
google avatar

Yelp
Great option. Food was good, prices reasonable. Went for a small work function so was fun to have the entertainment as well.

Yelp
I treated my grandson (15 yrs old) to dinner at Hokkaido with just the two of us. Hokkaido is one of his favorite restaurants. The chef was interactive with those of us at his grill and he prepared all of our orders accurately. His personality made our experience extra fun!
google avatar

Yelp
Another 10 star night at Hokkaido! This has been my family's go to stop for Teppanyaki for Years!!! It was a pleasure to have Jacob & Kam take care of us again! They've been there as long as we've been coming there! The food was amazing as always Kam & or service was top tier as well! Thank you Jacob!! We will be back!!!

Yelp
My bosses were in town for a meeting and wanted me to pick a spot for dinner. Since they were tired of having Mexican food all week. I decided to take them to Japanese restaurant instead. Not just any restaurant. A restaurant where u can watch them cook your food in front of you but with style. Yes, a Teppanyaki or what we know as, hibachi restaurant. I figure while they in town visiting. Have a little fun while enjoying their dinner. Since where they're from. They don't see much of those. Because it was on a weekday. We were fortunate to get seated in no time. For weekends or expected holidays. I'd recommend making reservations if you want to have prime seating. They have around 8 hibachi grills but heard they can fill up fast. Our waitress was very welcoming and courteous. She knew it was our first time so she gave us the whole run down from starting appetizers to a drink menu. We went straight to ordering the variety of meats, veggies and seafood your heart desires. Our chef came out like a comedian ready to start his routine. From cracking jokes about my bosses mustache to making a chopped onion move like a choo choo train with flames bellowing out like a steam locomotive. Not only were we being entertained with mediocre comedy. The food tasted just as good. It was a treat! At the end of our dinner. My bosses were so impressed that the next time they're in town. They'll be sure to hit up Hokkaido. From what they experienced. It was like getting a two in one deal. A show and great food! So if you ever have an appetite or simply want to entertain your guests with great Japanese food. Look up Hokkaido restaurant. Away from the busy Vegas strip and crowds. Tucked away on the west end of Vegas off the 215 freeway.

Yelp
Bartender was very nice & accommodating while we waited for our party to arrive , The Chef was amazing service was great & food delicious

Sandra L.

Yelp
This place has potential...the atmosphere was good and our waitress was very good. However, the food was just "blah". My sister and I are both in our 70's and have been cooking our whole lives. I don't think the grill was hot enough as there was none of the brown, tasty loveliness on anything...shrimp, chicken, rice, or veggies. All were just "blah". May need something in addition to salt, pepper, butter, garlic and soy sauce. For the price, I doubt we'll be going back.
google avatar

S K.

Yelp
Great ambiance and the food was pretty good. My only complaint was that everything was a burgle not salty but the meat was so tender! Especially the filet mignon. We will definitely be back but we'll ask for a little less seasoning. The show was great and the chef made a great effort to entertain our table. Service was quick and friendly.

Randall D.

Yelp
Had not come here in a while, but wanted to come because the usual hibachi place we go to doesn't seem to be as fresh as it once was. My recollection was that Hokkaido had better quality so we gave it a try again. Food was ok (was definitely better than the other place we had been going). Hibachi chef was great. He made sure everybody had their food exactly as they wanted. The food seemed a bit under seasoned and the preparation of the food was a little slow. My biggest frustration was when they brought the bill. The pricing was correct, but then they have another column for a different price if you're going to pay by credit card. Had we been informed ahead of time, it would not have felt like a surprise. I hate when restaurants do this however and every time I encounter it, it's always my last visit. So while the food was good, the hibachi was great, the increased bill ruined my experience. Business owner, if you're reading this, I will never come back to your restaurant because of the additional charge. 90% of people pay by credit card so price it in to the menu. Don't nickel and dime me with additional fees.

Yelp
Ive been coming here for years now, bringing family and friends from out of town. This place never disappoints. The staff is very friendly, especially Jennifer. They always accomodate our requests. The cook/chefs on the teppanyaki grill are trying their best to entertain us, and the kids. Its always a fun experience coming here. Did I mention the food here is good? Highly recommended!
google avatar

Yelp
Fantastic food and service! Johnny, Mr Winderful, was so charming and a delightful cook and entertaining personality, our grandsons loved it! He explained why certain foods tasted best at certain temperatures, was so funny and talked to the kids, they tried everything and he was impressed that they were not picky. Food was delicious, rice was awesome. We had a variety of meat and seafood, everything was so delicious! We will be back for sure! It's a great restaurant!

Yelp
Went here for our anniversary. It was a last minute decision since we had our daughters, one with autism. We all had a great time, the food was amazing and our chef was good. We did have one little meltdown when some fried rice touched her white rice. They were very understanding and got her a new white rice only plate very fast. The dessert was great too. The girls got giant cotton candy and we shared a fried ice cream.

Yelp
Did not get to eat here because there was no AC. After paying $30 for an Uber we get to the restaurant and it's hotter than a desert inside. We asked the hostess was the AC working and she said yes while attempting to walk us to a table with a box fan sitting on a chair. We left.

Yelp
This is like many of the Benihana-type Tepenyaki restaurants you'll find across America. The restaurant isn't very big, but they managed to fit 4 cooking stations with 2 sets of grills and 8 seats each. So a max capacity of 8x8=64 people. There is also a small sushi bar and 2 small stand-alone tables. We had a reservation and were seated immediately. Service was timely and accurate and our chef had 30 years of experience -- so he did all the things you would have expected (cooking tricks) and was entertaining enough. I have a dairy allergy and he also managed to accommodate my food sensitivity by cooking my serving of food first without butter before adding the butter for everyone else. All in all, if you like this style of dining, you will likely be satisfied here. One star withheld just due to overall salty-ness (too much soy) and general lack of WOW factor.

Yelp
Had a fun Christmas Eve Dinner here with family. I called in advance to make a reservation. After mass, we decided to have dinner here. Food was excellent. Staff was very friendly and accommodating. Our server was very quick with our drinks and orders. Too bad they were out of bean sprouts but the food was excellent. This was a 2nd time I came here. The last was for my birthday a few years ago. My girls remembered the place too! I'll be back sooner or later that's for sure.

Yelp
The service is was excellent and the Teppanyaki food was delicious. However, it is a small restaurant with five Teppanyaki tables, so it's very very warm in the restaurant.

Yelp
Nice local spot with really good food with a nice, cozy atmosphere. Service is friendly from both the waitress and teppanyaki chef. Food was very good and nice portion. Everything flavored well and filet mignon was very tender.

Yelp
Super friendly, delicious, and high quality. Best Teppanyaki I've had in Vegas. Request the spicy ginger with your shrimp, if they're not busy.

Yelp
Been to a lot of Teppanyaki restaurants. I have been in Vegas for 6 years and thus by FAR the best we have had. The service was top notch. The quality of the food was awesome. The way was cooked and presented was awesome. Will definitely be back

Yelp
First time here tonight and OMG. SO GOOD!!! I got the filet mignon, scallops, lobster, shrimp, fried rice, and veggies. I have some food accommodations and they didn't make me feel stupid for asking. The chef made us some of his special spicy sauce since no one else at our table wanted spicy anything and OMG X 2. So good, I would take a bottle of it home. The service was amazing too, they were so nice even though they were busy and even brought out a dessert for the birthday boy. Would def recommend this place!
