Keith Lee Jumps Onto the Dallas Matcha Trend | Eater Dallas

"A banana matcha introduced there went viral in October 2024, sparking a wave of influencer-driven attention across the Dallas–Fort Worth area and prompting numerous TikTok videos and reviews; that moment helped launch an ongoing local matcha craze and inspired multi-part review series from regional food creators." - Courtney E. Aesthetic coffee shop inside a corporate office building. Coffee is good. Baristas weren’t as welcoming as I’m accustomed to when visiting various other coffee shops, but it’s a solid choice if in the uptown Dallas area. Plenty of space in the lobby to study, read, or socialize.

OBSESSED! I am from New Jersey visiting and I came in literally last minute before they were closing. The staff is amazing, friendly so accommodating and served me without hesitation! I am happy I got to taste the best iced coffee, I more impressed with the staff which made the experience EXCEPTIONAL!!! Of course the coffee is amazing! 10/10!

Got the Horchata Matcha, Strawberry Matcha, and the Matcha Latte. All drinks were really good and made with quick service (we went around noon and there was no line). My favorite was definitely the Matcha Strawberry subbed with oat milk. There are two 15-minute parking spots in the front so you can quickly get in and out.

Another café where you can't sit down to enjoy what you ordered. They have an avocado toast on the menu but don't offer utensils to eat it. The coffee may be very 'aesthetic,' as their customers call it, but the way to eat a piece of impossible bread certainly isn't. When my order was ready, they brought a closed box to the table, which for me translates to: 'Here’s your order, take it away.' When I asked the barista if they had utensils, he replied no. I can understand that a bagel can be eaten by taking bites, but an avocado toast needs to be cut at least in half—a simple knife would solve that issue. At the end I took it to go and the taste was disappointing. With so many cafés around, I regret walking from my hotel for this. I hope the feedback helps improve that aspect.

Hola Café is one of my favorite coffee shops. They are consistent with the quality of their coffee and their dulce latte iced or hot is my favorite. Henry is an amazing barista and makes the best coffee along with Kristin and other amazing baristas. Also, a huge shout-out to Henry for helping me this morning with parking and also bringing my phone to me couple of weeks ago when I thought I lost it. Thank you for the amazing customer service and positive vibes every time I visit.

The best matcha in Dallas. Service is great. Staff is always friendly. Plenty of seating to do some work.

Hidden gem. Seriously great coffee in a spot you wouldn't easily see. It's not even a storefront but rather it's in the open lobby of a generic looking office building. Come... run... whatever it is just try their coffee. I had their flat white and my ultimate favourite the Horchata latte. Iced and hot... both are amazing. It's the right amount of sweetness that perks you up in the afternoon while the rich coffee flavour rounds out the entire experience. I could drink 3 in a row but I wouldn't blink ... minor inconvenience for the flavour.

I got an iced chai latte and it was pretty good, but nothing special. I also got the jalapeño kolache which was good but it was cold when I got it. This location is located in a corporate building so expect that kind of vibe coming here. Staff weren’t too friendly, just took my order and moved on. Overall okay but wouldn’t regularly come here!

Yelp
It was so hard to find because maps led me to the parking garage. I couldnt find the entrance for a good five minutes, it kept saying I arrived. For the amount of time I spent walking around, I could have made it to the oak cliff location and back. The entrance on the garage didnt lift and let me out after. Anyways, I appreciate hola cafe pushes the envelope and create different flavors. Banana latte was good but subtle. I needed more banana in it. They are on the ground floors of a working office building. The entrance is behind the parking garage.

Yelp
What a cute, convenient, delicious coffee spot! It is conveniently located at the lobby of an office building just down the street from Kyle's Warren Park. We enjoyed the day at the park so we parked in a structure closer to their but on their Instagram page, they have a detailed video showing you about 3/4 parking options with a pick up spot right in front! Their iced dulce latte was DELICIOUS. For a specialty coffee shop lover, I'd say it's about a 9/10. We also got a glazed donut and my little one LOVED it. Service was very friendly. Can't wait to frequent this spot again and again!

Yelp
I had high hopes for this place.. the location is inside of a business building, which is completely fine. there is dallas memorabilia on the walls which is nice. if you like ppl watching, there is a constant flow of traffic of the employees who work there. now, onto the coffee... i am no matcha expert... but i feel like the matcha that was used for our drinks could have been a higher quality. because i've definitely had better. i ordered a matcha latte with almond milk & caramel. i wanted a strawberry matcha, but i guess the barista didnt care to prep the strawberries, so that drink wasnt avail. my partner also got a matcha latte, with almond milk and vanilla. her drink was slightly better than mines.. but still not the best. the matcha was strong and not blended well in both our drinks. the caramel was all at the bottom of my drink and it was just not good. after pouting for a few moments, my partner asked if they would make me a standard latte (dulce latte). this was much better. I would avoid the matcha all together. also.. stay away from the pastries..

Yelp
This doesn't live up to the actual Hola Cafe that has its own storefront. I was a bit disappointed by service and the taste of my drink. The staff here is pretty rude. I ordered a horchata latte, and it was really bitter and didn't taste like horchata at all. Parking is hard from what I could tell. I came really in the early morning so I parked outside, but that definitely wasn't a parking spot.

Yelp
The banana matcha on the summer menu is to die for! Literally would go back everyday for it if I could. The ambiance of this shop is so nice and cozy. Plenty of space in this corporate building to sit, relax, and read a book. I parked in the parking garage connected to the building.

Yelp
I'm sorry I do not get the hype. It's located in like an office space lobby? I got the Horchata Latte and I tasted no horchata at all. Also surprised how many were going for a coffee run past 9 am so it was a bit of a wait. It was aesthetic though.

Yelp
Beware, they don't allow dogs into this location. I wish they would have advertised this better.

Yelp
I love the biscoff latte that I got, the soft cream really topped it off for me! It's a good balance of espresso and sweetness. And this space! I love how open it is and the furniture complements it well. I was very happy to know that Hola cafe opened this 2nd location with seatings since the original one doesn't have much of it. I just wish they stay open for longer hours

Yelp
I'm so happy Hola has another location now! I can never say enough good things about their drinks and food. Such a cute interior, although it's located inside an office building, so it might feel as if you're intruding. But it's a quiet space with great natural lighting and a good place to get work done (they have so many outlets too). Me and my friend got lucky with parking right outside the building, so I'm not sure how parking would work normally if there are cars in front.. Food and coffee is top tier as always, if they weren't closed so early I would be here every day (': Definitely recommend their cookie butter latte and avocado toast.

Yelp
Hola cafe has been on my list to try for many, many years now. I made every effort to visit. I checked the hours and got here 15 minutes after they opened. Not only was there literally no one there, but there was Tim Burton music playing that gave the whole thing a very weird vibe. (The Batman and Beetlejuice themes....and then supercalifragilisticexpialidocious....) anyway, I tried. I waited for a while and no one showed up to make coffee. Pretty disappointing because I paid for parking downtown because I wanted to try a new local coffee shop. One barista FINALLY showed up at 7:32. In his defense, he very clearly wasn't expecting to open this morning. He asked the security guard where the other barista was and explained that he closed yesterday and wasn't supposed to be here today. No pastries in the case, and they don't validate parking. Barista says first 30 minutes are free but that's pretty unhelpful when I've already been here waiting for half an hour. I may give the other location a try sometime because they have creative lattes (Teddy latte was cute and came out fast, strawberry matcha was yummy and even faster) but the whole thing took forever. I've been looking forward to trying hola cafe for years and it was just....fine, and also a hassle.

Yelp
This is some of the best coffee I have tried in the Dallas area. The Dulce latte is my favorite on their menu!!

Yelp
I loved the first location so much, I'm really happy they opened another one! Their matcha is seriously so addicting, and I finally got a chance to try their avocado toast today too (5/5). I was a little confused about parking at first, but there a couple of spots right in front of the building that you can park at. If not, people typically park across the street, or in the garage (if you don't plan to stay at Hola Cafe for long, the garage is free for 30 minutes). The lighting is perfect; I've been looking for a cozy, open workspace like this in Dallas for so long. I will be back often!!
