"Holborn Dining Room is a big faux-old brasserie attached to the Rosewood Hotel. The room itself is always buzzing and the menu is pretty extensive and full of price-hiked British classics. Ignore all these distractions and focus on one thing only: the pies. This place is home to London’s finest filled bits of pastry. "Sometimes you and your mates have all the drive, ambition, and intent to go ‘out out’, but you subconsciously want to put little road bumps in the way to stop you getting to a club because you actually want to be in bed by midnight. Holborn Dining Room can be your night out enabler, and, if you wish, also your road bump. You’ll be enabled by the grand yet casual location in one of the poshest hotels in London - and by the 500 gins on tap. Your road bump will be Scarfes Bar next door, where they do classic cocktails and there’s a live 1920s swing band. Take the team for dinner at all-day British spot Holborn Dining Room inside the Rosewood hotel. This place serves everything from steak tartare to half pints of Atlantic prawns, but all you really want to get involved in is the pies. "A friend of ours used to regularly walk around with a pork pie in his pocket to pause, snack on, and rewrap throughout the day. They don’t eat spaghetti, scroll through iPlayer, and semi-listen to a podcast whilst lying on their bedroom floor. Holborn Dining Room is a very straightforward restaurant in a hotel. For a start it’s got dining room in its name, and secondly you only come here to eat one thing. That one thing is pie. Pie, pie, and more pie. Chicken and mushroom pie. Curried mutton pie.
