1st time here. The space is small, quaint, and welcoming. We had the tacos, I had the bettered fish and shrimp Ensenada style and hubby had the smoked brisket, al pastor, and Carne asada, all were huge portions and tasted great. The service was fast, the girl that took our order recommend another taco place near where we lived. We're going back for the taco Tuesday deals for sure.

Brisket tacos were great. The lady on the front was very nice, fast and focused. Salsa is ok, homemade. They have horchara with coffee is good. Brisket tacos are something ill be back for. Prices are affordable 3 tacos for $9.

I went here with high hopes and a recommendation. HOWEVER… was warned to not go to this location due to COLD RICE and BEANS /old. Well my buddy was right. I hope the owners see this and fixes the issue. Also the brisket was okay maybe needs some more seasoning. Service was not great and on the wrong side of rude. Small spot with not much seating. Parking was horrendous but nothing this business did wrong. Overall give this place a 6.2 out of 10. Great price average to poor quality food. Good portion though

I usually dont give bad reviews unless they're warranted. For gen Z; this place was mid. The cashier with tattoos on her right arm was rude. She seemed annoyed when I asked about the menu. (My first time here) The cashier didn't let me order one bean taco and one potatoes taco she said I had to order two separate orders. She didn't let me order the surf and turf combo plate. They were out of brisket and several other items on the menu. I ended up going with a shrimp burrito. The shrimp wasn't seasoned at all, beans too salty, and felt like they had been sitting all day and dried up. The tortilla felt super old and flaky. I ate in the outdoor patio area, and it smelled so bad. Their trash is overflowing, and it smelled terrible. I do not recommend this place. Bad service. The food is mediocre. UPDATE: This place gave me stomach issues worse than Chipotle and Taco Bell combined.

I moved out of California over 10 years ago. I remember how delicious Hole Mole was. But nobody mentioned them in my last few visits. I brought my sister here and she loved it. She's been living here for over 20 years and never been. Don't miss out. Prices are excellent just like the taste and quality.

The food is out of this world! Unfortunately, the restaurant needs a lot of attention. The acoustic tiles on the ceiling were really bad, the window paintings were chipped and distressed looking, the tables were sticky, the swinging door to the kitchen was filthy and the purposely weathered interior design couples with all of it to create an environment that too closely resembles the ensenada fish market inspiration.

Really great place to go for a quick bite at a good price. I paid under $10 for my drink and 4 small (but not too small) tacos. I was suggested to have the chicken tacos by the cashier. She made a great suggestion! To-go packaging was sturdy and it only took about 8-10 mins for my order to be complete. They had indoors and patio space available. On the patio they do have heaters available for when it gets cold. Utensils were in the bag and they asked if you want green or red sauce when you order so you won't forget! The cashier was so sweet! Will be back when I go to medical appointments down that way. They have potato tacos for vegetarians too! Only suggestion I have is if you want more than one salsa, ask for it!

This place is a Gem if you can find a hole mole and you're a fan of fish tacos this is a must try. These are some of the best tacos around and extremely affordable especially in today's economy. Every time I've gone in the customer service is genuine and friendly not forced. I've been to three locations and each one has been outstanding. Wait times are reasonable food is excellent and service is top notch it's worth driving a ways to get this kind of quality. Your taste buds won't regret it.

Had delicious shrimp tacos here for taco Tuesday Great deals and very good food. Also had carnitas and asada but my favorite easily was the shrimp tacos! I'll be back again no doubt

Great service & yummy food !!! Can never go wrong with Hole Mole!! After lunch with the family , I was ready to go back for dinner lol. They have also added a few things and a couple new desserts to the menu ... go check them out ! You will be saying Hole Mole this is delicious!! We also got fish tacos , shrimp tacos & a burrito bowl. Yummy!

Delicious Mexican food. My wife and I actually drive to Long Beach just to eat here'. My favorite carnitas spot around. The beans have excellent flavor. Their chicken is also delicious. Strong recommend this place- they have a bunch of low rims around Long Beach.

Very good staff, fish tacos were excellent with a large chunk of fish breaded. Other options on menu. Fast service and friendly.

My friend and I had a stunningly delicious lunch at this assuming little taco stop yesterday! The little retail center was busy at lunchtime but we easily got parking! The restaurant itself is beyond humble, but appears clean and well run. They have a salsa bar! Which is always a plus in my opinion! My buddy raved about the smoked brisket taco! He is a top expert on lunch so that is what we ordered! The brisket was served with chips and a big scoop of guacamole! We both added the beans and rice with a drink special! The flavor was rich and delicious the smoked brisket was perfect! The service was professional and efficient! You will be shocked at the food!

This place has the best fish tacos and enchiladas. They have great service and cool locations. This one in particular has a patio in the back where you can sit and enjoy your meal. I am very impressed by how fast you get the food and how tasty it is. This is definitely my go to for tacos and Mexican food. They have jarritos and a very cool salsa bar. I go here often and I will continue to do so. 5 stars for sure!!

Small and well contained this place is a gem. Tidy and efficient the service is helpful and kind. With a pretty simple menu there are an abundance of options to create your perfect meal. I love this place and will keep returning. If you haven't tried this delightful eatery, give it a shot. You will be pleasantly surprised.

I usually get the fish tacos and tortilla chips from here. The fish tacos are ok. They are not horrible, but nothing to be excited about either. The batter on the fish was a bit too thick for my liking. It was also very messy to eat because the tortillas were too small for the size of the fish and amount of toppings on the taco. The tortilla chips were pretty good though as well as the pico de gallo and salsa verde. Prices are reasonable . Service is mediocre. Some of their staff could be a little more friendlier.

Por favor bring back the orange roof!!!!!! Long Beach doesn't feel as fun with this new look!

Well fellow yelpers.... for the $ (cheap) the food quality rates higher prices (don't tell owner that). Ordered the mini plate (surf n turf of 1 fish taco n bbq brisket taco n choice if rice or beans). Both tacos n side cooked well n super tasty. Lots of taco n bowl options. Staff friendly n informative. Tables clean and ready for patrons. Great chain restaurant. I'll be back! Sorry no pics.... ate it to fast

Do you ever just crave a really good bean burrito or just me? I'm not a vegetarian but my favorite kind of burrito is a bean and cheese burrito and I ask for sour cream added. Holé Molé bean & cheeee burritos are my favorite! I went there today for my burrito and saw an employee filling a 16 oz container of their green chili salsa and I asked if they sold it like that and the answer is yes! She said that one for someone who placed a large catering order. So you better believe I got back in line and ordered one so I can put it on everything I eat at home now! Shout out to Evan! Thanks for the outstanding service! This location has a nice indoor dining room and relaxing outdoor patio with tables and chairs with Mexican music playing. They have a few locations, but I tend to go to this one the most because parking is also pretty good!

Hole Mole has definitely gotten more expensive than it used to be, but somehow it's still worth it. I'm a big fan, even though I'm kind of sorry I have to pay extra for grilled chiles, but I understand. Be prepared to pay more for the fish tacos, and you'll still leave happy. There's not a lot of parking or tables, but the great fish tacos make up for it. If you're willing to spend a bit more, you won't be disappointed!

Best Crunchy Tacos in Long Beach - This continues to be my go to spot for tacos and they are always fast and friendly at the counter. The music really is a great addition because you never know what throwback you might here. Crunchy tacos come in orders of 2 and are at a great price. Hole Mole is the perfect lunchtime meal or easy dinner night. Hidden Menu Gem: The chipotle crema can be ordered in as a single cup

Nothing bad, but nothing special either. It tastes like Mexican fast food. The variety of taco options is great. The guacamole and salsa to-go portion is tiny. The parking lot of this shopping center is even tinier. We took our order to-go, so I can't comment on the service. The food was ready when we arrived, but we had to re-pack some of the items to facilitate the transport.

Ordered online and when I got there they didn't have my order, service was not friendly and it was just overall subpar

I've always liked the name of this restaurant, but never popped in until today. I got a fish taco with slaw and a bbq brisket taco, and they were very reasonably priced and both were absolutely scrumptious. The ambiance itself was visibly rather underwhelming, but the food was unexpectedly tasty and satisfying. I'll definitely be returning.

Adventuring in Long Beach for the day led us on the search for fish tacos. We found Hole Mole and both got some tacos- shrimp tacos for me and fish tacos for him. We also ordered some yellow chiles and some rice. Everything was really tasty, especially the rice! It tasted like homestyle rice you'd eat at a backyard family party, I could've had 5 more orders. The shrimp taco is mostly onion, as I found out after I removed all the grilled onion. Still tasty. We liked that the restaurant has an outdoor gated patio area. The breeze and shade felt great. There is also a good sized indoor seating area. The service was ok, cashier was nice. There is no table service but the tables and ground are kept pretty clean. Final note- the menu is large and there are lots of things to try. No matter your choice, make sure to order some yellow chiles!

Fish tacos are the absolute bomb, yes I will drive half an hour for them! Service pretty decent, parking sometimes a little difficult but otherwise great spot!

Taco Tuesday special is great! Quick service, salsa bar fully stocked. Tiny shop but very efficient. Been to this location 2x & will keep coming back!

I love coming here! Customer service is awesome. Potato crunchy tacos are thee bestest! The atmosphere is always chill. Parking is a tough at times but orders are made quick. 4 crunchy Potato tacos, rice and beans, chips and salsa, and a drink for under $9. You can't beat that!

I absolutely LOVE HOLE MOLE. I decided for teacher appreciation week to bring my son's teachers, the 18 pack of the tacos, beans, and rice. I called and made my request last minute and the food was ready by 9:30 AM for pick up. The teachers raved about how good the tacos were and how this was the best teacher appreciation gift they've ever had. I personally think Monica and I Monica and Irving for taking care of the teachers. If you're ever in the Long Beach area, please visit the Pacific coast Highway Hole mole location. The best food ever.

Hole Mole is my go-to taco Tuesday spot in East Long Beach--figured it was about time I gave this taco chain a review! Honestly the value/price is what makes this place worth it. While its not anything special, it definitely hits the mark for fish tacos/shrimp tacos. They're never overly battered and the slaw/crema is the perfect mix of crispness and flavor. Wait is always reasonable as well. Wish they had better salsa selection, and I've definitely had to-go orders that just didn't hit like they should. Curious to try the burritos or catering options from them. Dont drive out of your way for it but if in the area on a Tuesday, do it!

- moderately busy when I came (around 6pm on a Sunday) - parking lot is small/medium sized but there's scattered parking, shouldn't be too difficult to find - staff was nice - plenty of seating indoor and outdoor 1. ensenda fish tacos 5/5 - delicious!! Loaded with cabbage, crema, tomatoes, onions, cilantro on a perfectly battered and fried fish, if there was no side dish then 3 tacos are pretty filling, but with side dish then 2 is more than enough (for me at least) - sauces they gave were spicyyyy but gave a good kick for us, seasoned jalapeños were FIRE goes perfect w the tacos 2. Nacho mamas nacho 3.9/5 - personally I'm not really into nachos in general because I don't like soggy chips but we decided to try it anyway - these were your average nachos with everything (cheese, sour cream, refried beans, onions, guac, salsa, cilantro) on top, but this is better than just nacho + cheese only - probably wouldn't get again because it's a pretty big portion so it'll get soggy if it's not finished asap

Decided to try there Breakfast Menu this morning while on my lunch break. I found the place clean and the staff was nice. They suggested the "Steak and Eggs with avocado " and it was great. Arrived in good time and fresh. Tasted awesome with there salsa bar so you get your choice of hot, medium or mild salsa to add to it and it didn't disappoint. They have outside patio dining patio doing and seating inside. You can also use there online ordering as well. love there fish tacos!

So, I always wanted to try this spot. well it'll be my first and last unfortunately. Well I walked in and did NOT get greeted at all Nor did i get a May I Help you? Very hot inside the Establishment. I did also recognize that the young lady had gloves on as she was actually putting salsa in small cups answering the phone and didn't even offer that I can get an Horchata as a drink with my upgrade combo. Didn't wait long for my food. Got called at 4:55 and ordered 3:51 The gentleman calling the order #'s-I asked if the order on the counter was mine 105 ,he just nods his head So here we go... My first review but I've already been here a couple of times.i usually get the Ensenada burrito/shrimp and it has always been good and today was no different. It may not be bursting with shrimp but neither do they skimp on it. At just under $10 it's a good deal. They do have outdoor seating with some umbrellas which is good since the inside of the place can get a little warm.

Good catering! I ordered 6 Tacoboxes for catering that comes with 60 tacos per tacobox. Each Tacobox is $175 and can feed 20-30 people. It also includes chips, sauce, beans, rice, and pepper. It was delicious. From I heard, the fish taco was the best one. The tacos are preassembled in boxes. Utensils are not included but could be purchased upon request. Also there is mandatory 12% gratuity fee for orders over $300. I parked in front of the restaurant and the chef came out and helped me put the catering in my toyota corolla. He was so helpful, I tipped him $15. Great food, great service, and it was budget friendly for us.

I could've sworn I ordered a shrimp burrito instead of a rice burrito, it barely had any Shrimp (4-5pcs max) & for the price !? What a complete ripoff, brisket tacos were like whatever tbh, avoid this place

Great place to have fish tacos! Food is good and drinks is refillable. The salsa bar can use a clean up once in awhile. Good food that is inexpensive. I recommend this place. Not to mention that the potato tacos are delicious!

This location of hole mole was awful. I stopped by for some tacos on my way to meet friends so I wouldn't show up starving. Got there, no line, asked the cashier about grilled or blackened fish tacos. She said oh yea we have those. I asked, can you point them out on the menu? I don't see them. Her response they're with the Cabo shrimp tacos. Ok, fine I'll have four grilled fish tacos. Bill was about $20 with tip. This seemed steep, but I was trying o be healthy and have a good protein, no rice or beans. Got the taco, they were tiny, not fish at all, but shrimp. By then the line was long and I didn't want to waste time complaining so I had them. How I ended up paying $20 for sub standard tacos when I could've had an entire meal for that price is beyond me. Never again, this place is the worst.

Super tasty, reasonably priced, go to place when I'm craving a simple taco. Ingredients are fresh, good salsas. Tacos feel a bit small but orders come in 2's, packed with plenty of ingredients so it feels like it's well made up for the size. Hard taco shells are fresh and crunchy. Usually the only place I order from when I'm craving a fish taco. Good portion of fish, great cream sauce. Usually get a side of beans & chips. Haven't been disappointed or dissatisfied by anything I've ever ordered. Used to go on taco Tuesday nights, not sure if they still have that or if the price is discounted like it was. But even if it was packed with a line of college kids, they still got the orders out quick. Sometimes not enough room to sit or find parking, but that usually is a good sign the food is worth it.

Hands-down, the best value in the entire City Of Long Beach. The crunchy potato tacos are literally talked about when my friends all around the world. They also have a taco that's made from brisket that while not authentic is absolutely delicious. I would recommend this place to anybody coming to Long Beach for lunch

Yep this place is still quite good. Talking about the one at PCH and Clark in LB. Prices are decent. Service is fast. The ambiance is pretty simple, not a sparkly hang out spot - just getting it done and getting food quick is what this joint is about. I like the potato tacos and just ordered 18 order netting 36 tacos and fed like 16 people or so...Just easy to bring to a party or get together. If I added guac and chips or had a salad it really could have been a full meal. The potato tacos most def scratched that taco itch.

One of my go to hole mole spots! They have quick service and food is always on point. If you haven't gone to hole mole, you have to try their tacos (yes they have taco Tuesdays) and breakfast burritos. Huge portion and always filing. You can also order online and they offer catering too. Side note: they used to offer peppers for free but not anymore. The peppers are still available for purchase at a small fee and are tasty (if you dare to try lol).

Again messed up our order with no remorse when we called. This place and their customer service is the WORSE I have had ever.

Holé Molé Taco Tuesdays for life!! My family has been frequenting Holé Molé since we settled in Long Beach almost a decade ago, and this location is currently the closest one to our home. It's often pretty busy (given Tuesdays) with lots of customers standing around on the edges of the restaurant waiting for their orders with not a lot of places to sit. We always get their fish tacos, which are hit more often than miss -- flaky white fish in a crispy batter, with a generous handful of finely chopped cabbage, and a sprinkling of tomatoes, onions, cilantro, and a creamy sauce. Sometimes we've gotten some unimpressive pieces of fish (like, what is this nugget taco?). Their rice and beans are really solid as well. They can be a little stingy with their salsas, so be vocal if you want more than just like one or two of each for your order. Yellow chilis are amazing and used to be complimentary, but times change -- these chilis don't though, and are worth getting.

5 stars is for the catering / taco box - I've used them a few times over the years for work events. Maya, the catering manager, is extremely efficient and pleasant to work with. Responsive and the ordering process is seamless, which is a big plus because I don't have time at work to worry about catering logistics. The taco boxes are packaged nicely to stay warm, cost effective, and always a hit with the crowd. We used it to feed 25 and it was perfect amount of tacos, and had some chips / rice / beans / salsa leftover. If you are looking for casual catering for your event this is a great option.

Please please don't work at a front cashier job if you have no customer service. Rude people up front and zero effs giving by them.

It was a small place. The food was very good and cheap. The cashier was cool. The meat was cooked very well.

We've been going to Hole Mole for quite some time now... they have really good tacos. Their Taco Tuesday Deals are great, especially in today's economy. They are $1.29 each and you can choose from fish, asada, chicken, al pastor and carnitas. The bean and potato tacos are also very good. They used to be sold singular but are now sold in sets of two.

TLDR: Solid food, simple decor - HM delivers what it promises. Famous fish tacos and a superb bean & cheese burrito. I think the rest of the food is fair but this is my preference. Don't forget $1.25 Fish Taco Tues! Pros: -Fish Tacos have never failed me. Ever. Either version is good. -Best taco tuesday around -The only bean burrito that slaps in all my years -Roasted peppers - Delicious but be careful of the heat! Cons: -None really, you get what you see and what you pay for Would I Return? Rating I'm here a few times a year because of the distance but if someone asks to go, I'm usually pretty down.

Craving some fish tacos? They have that nicely fried and serve in a flour tortilla with onions, tomato, cilantro, and cream. Their salsas are really good, it carries the whole taco when you add it. A quick bite to-go or for dine in, this is your Taco spot! They have a Taco Tuesday deal for different kinds of tacos. So you better remember them when it's Tuesday!

I recommend their fish tacos. This is the best thing on their menu. Lots of competition for Mexican food in the area. But if I want fast, fresh and good Mexican food, I go here. Service is not the best. You're coming here for the food. Prices are very reasonable.

I'm going to give a 5 star because the food is soo good specially the Ensenada fish tacos with a combo it's a must and it's affordable !! Great customer service the cashier is always so welcoming I normally come in the morning for lunch break I wish morning cashiers where a little bit more nicer i literally was standing there for like 2 minutes mean while the cashier was on her phone until a cook came out but beside that I love it here and I will continue support Hole Mole.

I came in recently to this establishment and I ordered a specific taco and when I went to Bite into my taco, it was a meat taco. I am a vegetarian I don't eat meat so they got my order wrong. I specifically said a potato taco and I got a chicken taco. The employee there was not pleasant at all. They almost made it seem like it was my fault like I didn't emphasize enough about what type of taco, when it actually I did. I just didn't like the atmosphere of it being " my fault" when in actuality it wasn't it's OK we all make mistakes. They replaced the taco but the front end employee shouldn't be crusty about it. It's not a big deal but don't be so crusty . It's not nice not to care about what customers pay for.
