The Best Things Infatuation SF Writers Ate In August 2025 - San Francisco - The Infatuation

"We’ve never had nachos quite like the ones from Old Ship Saloon in the Financial District. The chips are covered in mole, tossed with shredded chicken, black beans and avocado, and topped off with cotija and crema mexicana. The mole has depth, like it’s been cooking since Friends went off the air, and pairing it with all those nacho fixings is a divine combination. We were warned that this bowl is “a lot of food” and we’ll pass that along to you, too." - patrick wong, julia chen 1, lani conway

We had lunch on their covered enclosed patio on a beautiful mid-November afternoon. Everyone at the table enjoyed their food. Everyone had a different cocktail, mine was the hit - a churro shot with Rumchata and a cinnamon sugar rim. My pesole soup was delicious. The holiday decorations were so festive and fun both inside and on the patio too! Parking 🅿️ tip: if you park in the lots behind the restaurant- which requires paying- don’t pay instead, go into the restaurant to ask for complementary parking [you’ll need your tag number].

Holé Molé in Tulsa is a standout gem for Mexican cuisine. The food ranks among the best I’ve had anywhere in Oklahoma—fresh, flavorful, and clearly crafted with care. The restaurant itself is spotless, with a warm, welcoming atmosphere that suits solo diners just as well as families. One of the highlights is their outdoor balcony-style seating, which adds a relaxed charm to the experience. The bartender was not only friendly and respectful, but I noticed he had his own family dining there that day. That speaks volumes. When employees choose to eat where they work—and bring their loved ones—you know the place is doing something right. It’s a sign of quality, cleanliness, and pride in what they serve. Holé Molé isn’t just a meal—it’s a place you feel good about supporting.

I went with a few friends on a Saturday evening and was looking forward to trying this place, but the experience fell short. The queso was watery, and I ordered the enchilada sampler, which included a chicken enchilada with mole oaxaqueño, a cheese enchilada with mole rojo, and a spinach enchilada with calabacita, served with beans and rice. Unfortunately, the food lacked flavor. The drinks were good, though they sat at the bar for a bit before being brought to us. The restaurant is small, and the high-top table we were seated at felt too tight for three people. The drinks were the highlight of the visit, but both my friends and I shared the same opinion that the entrées were underwhelming. The décor was nice, but overall, I wouldn’t return. I do wish the business the best.

Popped in for lunch on Taco Tuesday for a first visit. WOW! I've waited too long to give this a try. This is food to savor. Each bite was a sensory journey. Short rib taco was incredibly flavorful! Chicken and Oaxacan Molé Taco was perfect! I'm told their Oaxaca Molé Negro is an authenticate Aztec recipe. All I can say is that it was delicious and nuanced with a little fire. I also tried a pork tamal. I liked the proportion of masa to filling. It was one of the best I've had in Tulsa.

Our dinner group picks a new locally owned restaurant every month. January was Hole Mole. We went Monday the 20th for dinner. We ordered Mole Flight, Chicken Tamales, Chicken Enchiladas, Esqites and Birria Ramen. The tamales, salsa and mole trio were delicious and did not disappoint. Logan was our server and absolutely enjoyed him!

If you are into traditional mole, you gotta check this out. Lots of specials, drinks, tacos, birria too! Decorated beautifully for the holidays so Hole Mole is a great festive choice for family & friends!

Google
Delicious food and amazing service! I got the savory waffle and my wife got the corn pancakes, both were amazing! Very flavorful and a pleasant surprise at the quality of the dishes! Brunch is back! Our cocktails were the “Hibiscus Passionfruit Margarita” and the “One Night in Zapopan” very delicious! Shout out to our server Bryan for being so awesome!

Google
We ate at Hole Mole tonight for dinner. It was very good. I got the combination platter and my wife got hole’ mole chicken platter. She said hers was very good. I liked mine. Parking in the area can be a challenge. I backed into a spot on 15th St. I recommend going and giving it a try especially if you like mole’ sauce.

Yelp
What a great place! Me and my family came to try some Mexican food from here and we had a great experience. The appetizers we had were really good. We got chips and guacamole. The salsa was really good too. For the main course, I got a bean burrito. My burrito was delicious; one of the best I've ever had. Also, the rice on the side was very tasty. Great food overall. Another great thing about this place is the good service. The staff were very nice and helpful. Great service! The last thing is the inside was very clean. I was impressed. The bathrooms were clean and they actually smelt good! Good ambiance too. Overall, great place and I highly recommend it.

Yelp
Pretty good, highly recommend the pork belly bites and tacos. The guac the bites come on is wonderful. The drinks are pretty good too.v Service can be slow just bc they get busy during dinner and could use another server when that happens. Also there could be a wait if you go on a weekend for dinner; we dodged a 2 hr wait they had earlier the same night. Casual atmosphere, so don't feel the need to dress up or anything. Their Christmas decor is lovely. The ceiling is decked out in ornaments.

Yelp
We had a family birthday dinner, so we had a party of 10 or so. The restaurant was nice decorated for Christmas, and the servers were very nice. Unfortunately the food did not match the decor or service. Our meals came out haphazardly and many of the dishes were not even warm, let alone, hot. Perhaps it was an off night, but it was disappointing for my first visit after hearing such glowing reviews from others. Not likely to return, unfortunately unless I see a turnaround on some other recent poor reviews.

Yelp
How is this place not 5 stars?! Every single bite was some of the most flavorful Mexican food I've ever tasted. Flavor, flavor, flavor! The Food - White queso: Tasty and creamy. - Esquites (Elotes off the cob): HUGE and delicious. The mix of crema, grilled onion strips, corn, tajin, oh my. It's a nice blend (not too corn-heavy), and this appetizer is hard to find around town! - Taco salad: Tons of ground beef with rich flavors. The fried tortilla bowl is huge! I took my 65 year old neighbor here and she said, "This is the best taco salad I've ever had" and I agree! The Christmas decor is cute as well. I cannot wait to go back to try some drinks and different food. I will drive across town for this place!

Yelp
Mole is just about my favorite food in the whole world, but only when it's authentic. The problem is that when it's truly authentic, the flavors are too strong for many people. Understandably, restaurants often mellowed it down. Authentic mole is very savory and some might consider it a little bitter. I was not disappointed with this mole. It was savory enough to satisfy me, but lacked the bitterness that I love but might be off putting to others. Not everyone likes mole. Individual tastes are fascinating. Cilantro tastes delicious for many people. Others think it tastes like soap. If you aren't sure whether you like mole, I suggest asking for a sample before you order. I ordered lunch tacos and got mole sauce on the side. I got both chocolate (poblano) and rojo mole. I was surprised that I liked both. I've been disappointed with the way some restaurants prepare rojo mole. It's usually just a weak red sauce. Hole Mole does it right. I was in Mole Heaven. I didn't just put mole on the tacos, but I poured all over the rice and beans and used it as dip for the chips. Dan got the combo that included a chicken enchilada and a tamale. I didn't get that because I usually don't like tamales. I tried Dan's and loved it. These chips are richer than most and the 2 salsas are also superior to what you get at most restaurants. I would describe the ambiance as trendy or modern. The inside was very pretty. The outside area looked inviting. For those who don't like mole, there's plenty of other things to order. In fact, I only found 3 entries on the menu that came with mole sauce. The Happy Hour looks appealing, they have $5 House Margaritas, and they have nightly specials: wet burritos on Mondays, Tacos on Tuesday, wings on Wednesday, Tortas on Thursday, and fajitas on Friday. Then there's weekend brunch. Holey Mole has a lot going on.

Yelp
Airy and spacious Mexican themed restaurant. Been craving mole sauce so we tried this place. Not disappointed. Spouse got the lunch taco plate and I got the lunch combo, both $12. Combo was a chicken enchilada and a chicken tamale, both smothered in spicy mole sauce. And of course rice and beans. Way too much food for lunch. Took leftovers home. Service was friendly and prompt. Next time we'll choose to sit on the open air patio. We were seated in a booth along the west wall and were under a strong blast of cold air from the overhead A/C that I found uncomfortable.

Yelp
Hole Mole on Cherry Street is a great local Tex Mex spot! We went when they were at the old location and weren't as impressed, but have come back several times now that they're on 15th. The queso and cheese enchiladas are so freaking good, and my husband loves their tacos!
google avatar

Sherena J.

Yelp
Food was not good, the taco meat had no taste whatsoever and one bite the whole taco shell fell apart. Our server was sweet and took good care of us. Cute restaurant and great location but the food was just not good. The salas tasted like tomato water, the chips were good and the roasted salsa was good but dang I wasted $23 on a taco plate that I ate 1/4 of.
google avatar

Sabá L.

Yelp
Food was good. Although I wouldn't recommend the birria tacos (dish I got) as stale taco. The shared appetisers were delicious & everyone else's food excellent. Plus menu had excellent options. Recommend the Molé & flautas. Beans and rice yummy. Ambiance was relaxed Service (lady) in the outdoor section was surprisingly hostile and glum to our group of 5. But host (male) had been very friendly.
google avatar

Jyl C.

Yelp
Some inconsistent experiences for me, but generally I like this place. Great patio space, good nightly specials and happy hour options. I love the spicy Jalisco cocktail. Enchiladas are decent. The birria was not great imo. We've always had great service tho!

Yelp
Wonderful customer service to accommodate my family for a wheelchair and high chair seating. The frozen Mango Margaritas were tasty and hit the spot. The appetizer of Esquites (Elote corn) was just delicious. I could have eaten several plates of this just for my meal. The meals were assorted with the enchiladas, cauliflower soup, and hot fresh chips with tasty, not overwhelming spicy salsa. Good price for the meals. The handicap parking is a plus.

Yelp
Holy Moly Tulsa, Holé Molé is officially open in their new Cherry Street spot! We loved everything we got and can't wait to get back to try more. What We Tried: Chips and Salsa (obvi), Guacamole, Baja Tacos, and Birria Tacos Holé Molé is open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, and they have signature cocktails, a weekend brunch, All Day Taco Tuesday, and a $5 Margarita! And right now, their halls are decked for the holidays, so it's the perfect excuse to go. Let me know what you get when you go, because obviously you are...

Yelp
Menu was good, lots of options. Everything that was tried was delicious. Had the Pineapple/Guava Mimosa and yummy! Our waiter was great and attentive, we sat on the patio and enjoyed the location and atmosphere. Highly recommend!
google avatar

Laura G.

Yelp
Service was excellent; we were well turn care of. Ambience on the patio is great although some fans would be nice. I didn't like my omelette at all though. Hardly had anything in it. Cheese was non existent so the Birria meat just fell out. Definitely not worth the price and the meat had a seasoning I despised. Mimosa was great. Wouldn't go back because of the poor value and taste. Too many better choices in town.

Yelp
I'm so glad they have their own space now. Parking is available behind the building. Remember your license plate and they'll validate it so you won't have to pay. They have covered patio with TVs, which is a nice option when the weather's nice. Inside, it has a cool vibe. I like the bar in the middle with seating around it. Service was great! Kass took great care of us and even the manager, Cory, stopped by to ask how everything was. He looked familiar and it turns out he was the manager at Olvine (now MK Bistro) and café Ole. I've always had great experiences with him so I'm glad he's there now. I love their mocktail options. The Paloma fizz is my favorite, super refreshing. The esquites are a MUST. I went with the chicken enchiladas with mole and had grilled veggies instead of rice. I wish it was served with black beans instead of refried beans but they were still good. My husband tried their carnitas tacos and he liked them. For dessert, don't miss the flan. They have a coffee cream on top that's amazing with it. Highly recommend!

Yelp
Brunch at Hole Mole on a Sunday. At 11am, it wasn't too busy though the patio was filling up fast! Overall we had a great experience! Our server was friendly though it did take a bit to get our drinks. Orders were correct and everyone enjoyed their meals. Three different kinds of molé which is so rare in Tulsa! The potatoes were tasty, and the beans were universally beloved by the entire table. Some of the best I've had! We look forward to trying more items! It's a cute spot with a relaxed vibe.

Yelp
The food has great flavor, the staff provided efficient service and were kind. The vibes are very relaxed and my family was able to gather for a celebration and didn't feel rushed out. Very great experience.

Yelp
Arrived at 11:45 and took a few minutes to be seated. The place was quite busy with the outdoor patio also nearly full. Seems understaffed as a first impression and that became reality as our server was busy and frantic. I ordered a lunch combo which was a fajita chicken enchilada, one chicken tamale both topped with mole rojo, rice & refried beans. This was just a horrible meal. The amount of mole was excessive and smothered the fajita and enchilada. It was some of the worst tasting mole I've had. The refried beans looked disgusting and the rice was just weird. The tamale was barely identifiable as such. The House Margarita was the only redeeming item I ordered. I should have ordered two to help me forget the rest of my meal. My dining companion had the pork belly tacos which he liked but he felt the same way as I did about the rice and refried beans. The outside covered patio and bar is very nice. I'd go back there for cocktails on the patio but the food was not to my liking.

Yelp
I've previously tried Holé Molé at the Bramble location. I'm happy to see it now has a standalone location! I'm unsure when they opened but it feels like they're still working out a few of operational snafus, but perhaps we arrived after a rush. We arrived around 2pm on a Sunday. Several tables inside hadn't been reset and our table still had the former customer's bill on the table. Several servers congregated around the bar and it seemed like they could still all be training. To the food and drinks: the salsa selection was refreshing. This wasn't the appetizer from the menu but brought to our table. The Birria omelette was delicious!! My partner said the breakfast tacos were a little bland for his liking but he prefers very spicy food. I had the $5 margarita, which was okay. My partner had the michelada and enjoyed it. We will come back for the food and because it is a nice ambiance. Looking forward to trying the patio at our next visit.

Yelp
This place has a cool vibe and who wouldn't love starting w/a $5 margarita (no corn syrup laden mix..) which are not a HH special they're served all day. They bring two salsas both of which are in unique and have a wonderful Smokey flavor. Ask for the spicy salsa too. It's not overly spicy w/a hint of fruity flavor. We all thought our dish was the best. I ordered one of the specials that involved raw tuna and it was to die for. My husband had the mole enchilada trio and I usually am not a fan of Le but the green one was incredible. Definitely heading back soon! Oh, and great service.
google avatar

Yelp
The staff is very knowledgeable about gluten free food. The menu is actually marked showing things with gluten because there are a lot more items that are gluten free. Chips...they clean the fryer every night and fry the chips first thing in the morning and then fry GF and gluten items in it. I chose to get corn tortillas instead of taking a chance with cross contamination. I ordered the Poppers de Camerones. They were absolutely scrumptious. I mean you put one in your mouth and can't help but smile. Mmmmm! To top it off they come with mashed potatoes that have peppers, onions, cheese, corn and I'm not sure what else but they bring your smile to a teeth showing, cheesy grin. Uh, huh, makes you feel warm all over. I have never had so many options to choose from and cannot express how grateful I am to them for providing so many gluten free choices. (See what happens when you offer a good selection of GF safe, delicious food. Us GFers are not use to it and are overwhelmed with gratitude.) I will definitely return. I cannot wait to try something new! ....Addition.... I've now tried the Chile Verde and it is DIVINE. Such a great flavor!

Yelp
This restaurant is super cute, great aesthetic and yummy food. I got their strawberry marg that was the special and it was yummy. Also got chicken enchiladas and rice and it was so good. Overall really enjoyed it here.

Yelp
We came here on a Friday around 5pm for the first time. We were very impressed by the food, salsa, drinks and our fabulous waitress.. it was amazing! It was our first experience with molé, and we loved it! We will be back! I had the enchilada sampler and hubs had the short rib. Both were incredible! Also, ask for the habanero salsa! So so good.

Yelp
I'm so glad this place has moved to Cherry street. Not that it's previous location was far away but I always forgot about it! I have gone here twice and both nights were taco tuesday. I like you can mix and match the tacos. The birria and Mahi Mahi are my favorite. Their Margaritas are good and well priced. I am so glad that they made use of that really nice patio and I look forward to visiting it over and over again. Especially because I can bring my dog! The service and management here are also top notch.
google avatar

Yelp
Enjoyed brunch here on Saturday. The decorations were a so festive and the service was great! We enjoyed a house margarita and the complimentary chips along with two salsas to start. We also ordered a small queso. It was delicious! Then, we had two brunch entrees. The birria omelet was good but the brunch waffle was over the top! Looking forward to trying dinner next time.

Yelp
Holé Molé - Oaxaca-Style Mexican, Tulsa, OK Preview: Elevated Oaxaca-Style Mexican bringing spice to Cherry Street Final Score: Final score: 46/60 Holé Molé has reopened at its new location on Cherry Street, offering Oaxaca-style Mexican cuisine under the leadership of Chef Manny. Owned by the Three Sirens restaurant group, which also operates Tulsa favorites like Bird & Bottle, Bramble, and Market 31, Holé Molé faces considerable competition in Tulsa's vibrant Mexican food scene. However, in the realm of upscale Mexican dining, its direct rival is Noche, a restaurant creating a buzz not just in Tulsa but across the United States. With that in mind, let's see if the sirens can charm diners into embracing this elevated take on Mexican cuisine. Let's eat! Service: Service was above average. The staff was attentive and engaging! "Chorizo Mussels" Mussels are bathed in a heavenly chorizo and coconut cream sauce infused with chipotle, tomatoes, watermelon radish, and cilantro, served alongside warm bolillo bread. The dish flirts with transcendence, beginning with bold chorizo flavors, unfolding into delicate, spicy middle notes of coconut, cream, cumin, and perhaps a hint of cinnamon, before closing with a perfect briny finish from the mussels. Deep, rich, and decadently delightful, this is a true culinary masterpiece. "Queso Fundido" This traditional Mexican cheese dish is adorned with asada. The cheese is perfectly melted featuring a delicious slightly nutty flavor profile. The house made tortilla's perfectly complemented the cheese flavor profile and the asada enhanced the dish further. "Aguachili" This dish showcases lime-cured mahi-mahi with red onion, cucumber, cilantro, avocado, serrano, and radish, forming a well-composed aguachile. The flavor profile is predominantly acidic, with each bite delivering a sharp, citrusy burst, followed by mellow middle notes of avocado and finishing with subtle hints of onion and cucumber. The serrano adds a gentle kick at the end. While visually stunning, the sauce overwhelms the dish, leaving many of the other components lost in translation. "Bone Marrow" This dish featured a generous helping of roasted beef on top adding an extra dimension of richness to each bite. "Bone-In Pork Chop" The pork chop is tender, juicy, and marinated in al pastor, then grilled to perfection and topped with a roasted pineapple salsa, served alongside traditional rice and beans. The beautiful char adds a smoky depth to each bite, with initial notes of smoke giving way to tangy hints from the marinade and a sweet finish from the pineapple. The rich pork flavor remains the star of the dish, never overshadowed by the al pastor marinade or pineapple salsa. The rice and beans offer traditional flavors that complement the dish well. "Guajillo Glazed Salmon" Grilled salmon is presented with a guajillo glaze, served on a bed of poblano risotto. The salmon, cooked medium-well, was slightly overcooked, resulting in a firmer texture that didn't quite reach its full potential. The fruity and tangy guajillo was pronounced with the delicate taste of the fish to come through at the end of the bite. The risotto, in contrast, was exceptional--beginning with rich poblano notes, transitioning into a subtle sweetness, and finishing with decadent, buttery end notes that beautifully coated the palate. It's easily one of the best risottos I've had in Tulsa. "Chamorro" A braised pork shank rests atop a poblano rajas mashed potato. The pork shank is braised to perfection, offering initial notes of smoky chile that transition into earthy middle notes of oregano and bay leaf, with a lovely spicy finish. The mashed potatoes present flavors of poblano and spice, with pronounced tangy end notes, possibly from Mexican crema or sour cream. While the seasoning slightly overpowered the potato, the dish remains well-composed and satisfying. Final thoughts: Holé Molé presents a creative approach to Oaxaca-style Mexican cuisine, with standout dishes like the rich poblano risotto and the chorizo mussels, which offers a perfect balance of smoky, spicy, and savory notes. The mussels, in particular, were a highlight, with layers of flavor that unfolded beautifully with each bite. There are some critiques in other areas, such as the slightly overcooked salmon and an overly acidic aguachile, where the flavors became unbalanced. Regardless, Holé Molé demonstrates culinary potential, making it a solid choice for diners seeking a fresh take on Mexican cuisine, and is perfectly located for the vibe of Cherry Street. I would recommend you give Holé Molé a try and enjoy some elevated Mexican food located right off of Cherry Street. Until next time, let's eat. Final Score: 46/60 "Above Average" #jaredgleatoneats #greencountry #cherrystreet #holemole #foodcritic #eatlocal #letseat

Yelp
Amazing service from start to finish. Friday night, busy, just treated our whole group of five as if we were VIP with no one else around. Food is solidly gringo focused Mexican and I say that without judgement. We will be back. Treat people well and serve good food is always a winning and simple combination that is surprisingly rare these days.

Yelp
To be honest, it wasn't my favorite! I was very excited to go because of all the hype but I thought my meal was okay. It reminded me a lot of TXMZ. I wasn't a fan of the chicken or mole sauce and the rice and beans were alright. They have very cute Christmas decorations inside though! I may come back and try a different meal. Overall, it left me feeling very full so I was happy about the portion

Yelp
Holé Molé is a perfect intersection on a Venn diagram of Tex-Mex and Authentic Mexican cuisines. The ambiance is eclectic and wonderfully dazzling with a kaleidoscope of glittery miniature pińata style decorations hanging from the ceiling. Acoustics are medium loud but not bad. Staff were quick, friendly and helpful. I was flying solo so I sat at the bar on an early Saturday afternoon. Their tea is solid BTW. Alexis at the bar was friendly, helpful, respectful and accommodating. Chips are corn and while authentic are not those mass produced overly thick ones. They were light and crispy but not thin. Two salsas served were both pleasantly far from ordinary--one a lighter minimal spiced red salsa and one a darker, spicier salsa. I ordered the beef burrito and it was a fantastic. It was also covered in queso blanco which was a nice surprise. Although I don't have Celiac issues they are very gluten friendly and most of their items are gluten free. They can sub for most allergies including flour for corn tortillas. I spoke with the manager who was also very friendly and knowledgeable. Of all the 3 Sirens concepts this might just be my favorite. Maybe one day we'll get a south Tulsa option

Yelp
Bramble turns into to Hole Mole in the evenings and I've been wanting to try it. We went on a Friday around 7:30. It wasn't too packed. We opted to sit at the bar and the service was OK but a little slow. Chips and salsa arrived but we had not silverware or napkins. I finally just went back to the hostess stand to grab some for us. There were some great things about our visit, though. The margs are great and a bargain at $5. The guac is interesting. It was a bit acidic b/c of the pickled onions on top. I liked it. We split some Tacos Dorados and the Carne Asada Tacos. The later was the best. Rice was good. Beans were just OK. One of the managers seemed to be working hard at making everyone feel welcome. This would be a four for the food and a 2.5 for service if I could rate them separately. Might be back. Ironically the same silverware thing happened the last time we ate at Bramble. Had to grab our own....

Yelp
I had just missed their Happy Hour Menu, which is a pretty good one, that let me keep in mind for another visit in the future. I went with the Baja Tacos & it was just what I needed. I went back & forth between that & the Tacos Dorados (which I'm more than likely getting next time). Chipotle crema, cabbage, avocado paste, fried Mahi & cilantro is what all came with taco. Everything complimented each & for the first time ever in my life, the avocado wasn't overpowering/taking over a dish & that made me enjoy the taco more. Mahi was fried lightly, I really enjoyed the chipotle crema. Service was great. Was greeted when I came in along with being greeted a couple of more times when I sat at the bar (I was having a DJ gig & had a break). One dude (I believe his name was Chris) checked on me very often to make sure I was ok. He was the one who put me on game about their happy hour. *As I was typing this out, I realized I tried not ANY of their mole selections. Another excuse to come back.*

Yelp
New Mexican food is absolutely my favorite cuisine so I was super excited to try this place. The service is excellent and the restaurant is very cute but casual. Definitely get a reservation if you want the patio, which looks really fun and is totally covered. We were able to sit inside without a reservation. Loved the New Mexico mural, very chill vibes inside. Good service. The complimentary chips and salsa are *superb* - chips are just right, hot, salty, thin but not breakable; red salsa very fresh and excellent flavor, the dark salsa tasted like a very roasty chipotle sauce and my mind exploded. The meals were very ok. The half chicken was not well seasoned, the skin was mushy and not crisp, and it's really a waste to put mole on skin you pull off. But the mole sauces are actually incredible, it made everything so much better. The tamales and enchiladas are fine, it's the sauce that make them any good at all. Also basically no vegetables in these meals, typical for NM style cuisine. The rice and beans were very bland, even the kids didn't care much for them and they typically go crazy for those. Still recommend for the mole and salsas.

Yelp
We gave Hole mole a try for brunch a few Sundays ago as a going away for our friends. We were seated promptly and I ordered a michelada. I expected it to be strong and spicy, so I was disappointed in what I received as it felt thin and bland. I didn't order a refill. I ordered the birria omelet and it was good but my eggs felt a little overdone which you run the risk of with any omelet I suppose. Finally, our server was very nice; but service is not his strong suit. He took most of our orders and then began entering them into the computer before returning to take the remaining orders. He asked multiple times if we wanted our pictures taken; we said yes the first time but then it was repeated asks and also repeated asks about bar drinks. It was just *off.* We didn't stay long after completing our meals as we usually would, especially as a send off meal, but it was just awkward, and again, the drinks didn't reflect well. We might give it another try another time, and maybe request a different server. He just wasn't our speed.

Yelp
Enjoyed the chips & salsa. Esquites was the best I've had! Highly recommend. I got the pork belly tacos and they weren't that great. Planning to try another meat the next time I go.. probably birría or carne asada

Yelp
So. I'd like to begin by saying this will not be a short, your mama's "it was good" review. That being said, let's go! I'd like to begin by saying I just moved to Tulsa, Oklahoma from a land far far away next to the sea. Why would you leave the sea you ask? Political climate, economy and a sense of adventure that, can at times, be overwhelmingly unhealthy. But I digress. My first impression of Tulsa was huh. They do what? Followed by yesssss, anything is possible here I love it! And for the most part I do enjoy this new land, but in life sometimes there can be complications. This week I had a hard day of miscommunications with my kids school and they tried some mischief with my kid that had my blood pressure keeping a punk rock beat in my neck. Situation was handled as only a mama grizzly bear can and had me feeling like I needed a drink. (You don't know me but I'm not a big drinker, I'm a one and done type of girl) So, I went on google searching for what I didn't know I needed. Holé Molé. My mother makes a mean molé, and people will give a body organ to get some when it's made, so my expectations were high. But I can happily say that my expectations were met. Well. Done. When I first walked in I almost did a little double take because the vibes were reminiscent of something I'd find back home. Enter a little anxiety cause now my hopes were up, could it be? Could this place finally be the taste of home, the sense of rightness that had been missing these past few weeks?? Mandy the bartender was awesome. She was kind, welcoming, informative and very soothing to my overly taxed system. I looked over the menu, made my selection and patiently waited with my chips and salsa. I'd like to mention that I did in fact order a drink, the Paloma. Well done. That drink tasted like a cold cup of water in the Sahara that was my soul in that moment. Fantastic. I had ordered an enchilada and tamale with molé, beans (cooked with lard) and substituted the rice for the risotto they had. Delicious. I was very happy I didn't have anyone sitting by me because the sounds I was making, were embarrassing. I ate all that I could and brought the rest home with me to enjoy, again, later on that evening. Thus was the ending of a chaotic day soothed as only good food and people can soothe. And now that I've shared my experience with all of you I hope you take what I'm telling you to heart. Friends, I cannot recommend this place enough. Do yourself a favor and drop in to have delicious food and drinks. If it's a little packed don't worry they have two dinning rooms. One dinning room is in the main building with a bar and the second is an enclosed patio with another bar to ensure you have plenty of room for food and drinks. Thank you for taking the time to read this review and I hope your experience is as marvelous as mine was. Cheers!

Yelp
The taco combo was okay. Each taco had a different filling but tasted similar. The chips were crispy and fresh. Service was fast and friendly.

Yelp
Colby is such a great bartender and Mandy a fantastic mamanger. There was a mistake with the billing and Mandy comped the entire bill and also bought me a drink. That's customer service! The patio is great!! The food is always on point. My go to on Cherry Street!!

Yelp
Our server was very attentive and knowledgable about the menu offering plenty of recommendations. The pork belly bites were incredible, we had to keep ourselves from licking the plate!! I had the Mole for my entree which was ok but the vegetables on the side were great and seasoned well. They are currently sharing a space with Bramble so there is no ambiance matching the food. Their new space on Cherry Street is a good size and great location so I am looking forward to dining there!

Yelp
This was our first time visiting hole mole, we came at after christmas to see the decorations as we heard a lot of people say the inside was decorated nice. Parties at my table ordered the huevos rancheros and the chorizo potato's were really good. Another member was party ordered the burrito and he said he really liked the spices on the beef and the burrito overall was really good, and it was too big to finish. Rice and beans were just ok not great. Another member of party order cheese enchiladas and said they were good but again wasn't a fan of rice and beans. Overall service was great.

Yelp
Parking at this location is street parking and you will likely be taking a bit of a walk. We were seated quickly. Our waitress was knowledgeable about the menu. The chips were great. We split the mole special which came with 3 different mole sauces. The food was just okay, while we tried 3 different moles they tasted kind of the same. Maybe we just needed to try a different menu item.

Yelp
We lived in the area for about a year and a half, and this is easily the best Mexican experience we've had in Tulsa. The molé sauces were terrific and we loved the feel of the place. We will be back for more.

Yelp
This restaurant was near an event I was attending so I picked it. I had no idea that it was brand new. It took us a minute to find it - basically it is inside of Bramble restaurant. So Bramble serves breakfast and brunch and holy moly serves dinner! And happy hour! The signs at eye level are very tiny so just proceed to bramble! There was a great little happy hour menu with food and drink items and I chose the tequilatini. I am not exactly sure what its name was, but it was basically a tequila martini that you could have served dirty or sweet. I chose dirty. I am always a little skeptical of tequila martinis, but this was really smooth and easy to drink and really delicious! It was served in a little coop glass with the most adorable garnish of an olive a lime with a sugar skull skewer. I could've drank those all night... Off the small plates I chose the corn dish Esquites and the shrimp cocktail Aguachiles. Both were spectacular! The corn dish was clearly fresh fire roasted corn with much deliciousness added in, like a cotija cheese Cilantro and lime period. Additionally the Aguachiles was a very modern take on a classic ceviche- no tomato, a delicious citrus dressing, tons of avocados, tons of marinated shrimp, and cilantro. This is a winner!! I am looking forward to coming back and I've already told all my friends about it!

Yelp
Service was great! Food was wonderful! Just go give it a try. I can't describe it all. Full of flavor. Even if I didn't personally like this or that sauce it was still great.

Yelp
Ok... the restaurant has only been open for maybe a little more than a week... I ordered the Mexican ribeye, which was absolutely horrible. which was priced at market price, which was not cheap, it came covered in mozzarella cheese, covering up all of the very visible gristle, also sliced like a fajita so whoever cut it knew that there was tons of gristle in it , my wife had à la cart and her taco was covered in the mole salsa which was also horrible, unfortunately, we will never be back. It was the worst meal we've had in years, I truly wish them luck, but when someone pays top dollar and buys the most expensive dish on their menu, you would think that they made sure that it wasn't full of gristle, out of courtesy for everyone in the restaurant I did not take the gristle and spit it it into my napkin, I choked it down, and it was tough to do... you're welcome...

Yelp
Service was so great! The patio is gorgeous and so comfortable! We got queso and shared their Birra tacos! Will be coming back:)!
