Wonderful experience! Beautiful atmosphere and very clean. The donuts (we got chocolate and vanilla maple) were delicious! When I get donuts from other donut shops they taste too sweet to me, but Holey Grail Donuts had the perfect amount of sweetness. My daughter has severe food allergies (eggs and tree nuts) and this is the first time she has been able to eat a donut in a donut shop! Highly recommend!

Google
Might be thrown off by the price of their donuts but they are worth it! Bought a nine-pack tasting box to share with four people, which was the perfect amount of donut. They have knives available there to cut the donuts in 1/4ths to share.

Google
I have many food allergies, so finding a place where all the donuts had no egg and i could order whatever I wanted was amazing! The ones I tried were delicious, especially their original sin donut. My sisters enjoyed them too. They were small, but perfect size in my opinion, and not too oily. Plus the staff were super great and reassuring when I called to ask about allergies 😊

Google
Not impressed at all. $4.50 for a tiny taro cake donut has to be a joke. We went in at 7:30pm on a Saturday (1.5 hrs before closing) and the cashier couldn’t be less than enthused we were there. I’m so disappointed with my experience overall, and the next time I feel like spending almost $5 for a donut, I will just take myself to Kings Donuts for something bigger and tastier. The only plus here was that they were made fresh right after our order. Regardless, I won’t be returning.

Google
Honolulu is by no means a dessert desert, and it’s difficult to stand out in the donut landscape here. Highlights of the Holey Grail: Creative icings and toppings, a slightly crispy exterior on the fried taro-based dough, collabs with local chocolatiers on the donuts and coffees, and easy access via parking in the Ward garage. My new morning stop on the way to the office.

Megan

Google
Cute donut place in ward village. Merch was cute, interior was cute and clean. Donuts were ok. If you've ever been to duck donuts in North Carolina, this is similar. Standard donut base just different toppings. Glad I tried but not something I'd get more than once. Should definitely should check it out though! They also have coffee and tea.

Google
Amazing flavour on the donuts. Tried a bunch of them and strawberry was my favourite. The taro flour is delicious and the body of the donut even absent of any toppings would be delicious. Better than regular donuts honestly! The Honolulu location is bright and airy and has free parking in a garage right across the street. Highly reccommend.

Google
Best high quality ingredient donuts in Hawaii. We tried 4 and loved all 4. This is one of the best donut shops I have ever been to. I loved the many amazing donut shops in Portland but this place is on a whole new level. Friday happy hour 4-9pm $12 tasting box, $9 donut + drink pairing.

Yelp
[Location] This Holey Grail Donuts is close to Whole Foods in the Ward area. Free parking in any of the lots nearby. Spacious, modern and clean. Plenty of seating inside and outside. Not sure if they have a restroom. [Products] I love their merch! Super cute, well-designed and high quality. Tempted to get one of their tshirts for $34. They also have tote bags, hags and insulated cups. [Food and Drink] The donuts are so good, made fresh! My chocolate donut was still warm. The donut itself is crisp on the outside, super light and delicious. The chocolate was luscious and decadent. Not too sweet. Very tasty! $4.50 per donut. The draft iced coffee was perfect. Tastes good even when black. Notes of juicy fruit and well-balanced. Not bitter. [Service] Staff is super friendly and helpful. Good vibes all around!

Christine L.

Yelp
Delicious donuts in fun island-inspired flavors! They're made out of Taro, which gives the donuts an interesting texture- crispy on the outside and soft and warm on the inside. We tried 4 different flavors- Notorious POG (citrusy and vibrant), Chaga Chai (mostly cinnamon flavor), Yuzu Creamsicle (hojicha and yuzu is such a cool combo), and the Original Sin (my favorite- the sweetness from the maple is nicely balanced by the hint of salt). Good amount of seating inside, and service is really friendly! Would definitely come back.

Chelsea N.

Yelp
Food quality. Matcha was nothing extraordinary, a little more diary than I'd prefer, but just want I ordered. Donut was too sweet and dense for my liking. I prefer fluffy and airy donuts; this was a bit dense. I got the notorious POG because I love the drink, but I couldn't handle eating another sweet donut. Maybe the culprit was the frosting? Service. Great service! My beverage was made quickly and served with a smile. Cashier was helpful in my decision-making. Ambiance. It smelt like play-doh. It was nauseating. I had to eat outside and wait a minute so I could taste my donut. The fumes were over-powering my sense of taste. That's a new one for me! Value for $. I paid a little over $14 for matcha latte and 1 donut (smaller than the size of my palm). Creativity. Unique and locally inspired flavors for donuts. A more than decent variety of beverages. The photo shows my order as well as my partner's order but I'm only reviewing the POG donut and the matcha latte. Ultimately, I was hoping for the best but I should've turned around once I smelt the store. I don't think I'll be returning.

Tiffany L.

Yelp
Holeyyyyy moly I would give this place 10 stars if I could. Took a bite and said "this is the best donut I've ever had." Each donut is freshly prepared so it's warm when you eat it. The donuts have a crispy exterior and moist interior. They were so good we came back the very next day!

Brie S.

Yelp
I come for the taro donuts but stay for Holey Grail's draft lattes! They have the most delicious forbidden fruit coffee that they mix with their house made coconut cashew milk. It's the perfect combo with their incredible donuts. The special lilikoi coffee cake donut was out of this world! The service is always fast and efficient and no matter how busy they are, the wait is well worth their hot fresh donuts. Natural light pours through the large floor to ceiling windows of their shop making it such a warm and inviting space. They've got adorable merch and it's so fun to support a Kauai business!

Yelp
After dinner, I was craving something sweet and stopped by Holey Grail donuts for a quick bite. I was able to try the Notorious P.O.G. And was really happy with the experience. They make the donuts fresh to order, which makes them taste even better, but also means that they don't often run out of donuts halfway through the day. The donuts themselves were fantastic, with a balance of sharp flavors and a great chew. The staff was really friendly and was able to answer questions and make suggestions. The interior was really clean with a lot of seating options for groups of any size. It was also cool to see the taro plants in front of the store, as there is taro in their donuts.

Kendra H.

Yelp
The best donuts ever!! Every time I visit Oahu, I have to make a pit stop to grab these taro donuts. They come out freshly made and fried in coconut oil (which makes me feel slightly less guilty about the sweet dessert). I've been to this location twice and their food truck location near Waikiki. All times were a hit! And the wait for the donuts is never too long and if it is, it's worth it! I've tried virtually all the flavors including some special editions ones, but if you're a first timer, go for the classics.

Deb B.

Yelp
I needed something special for a business meeting and didn't want to show up empty-handed. As a vegan, I was surprised to hear that all of their donuts are vegan, with the exception of one that has honey, which is fine with me--I still enjoy honey. The donuts are so unique, and the variety is amazing! When I arrived with the box of Holey Grail Donuts, there were audible gasps of excitement from everyone in the room--they were that thrilled! These donuts definitely made an impression, and I was equally impressed with the flavor and creativity. The young lady helping me at the counter was super friendly and eager to answer all of my questions. The inside was super clean, with plenty of seating and a great view of the area. I was going to go back and grab a few more donuts for my husband, but instead, I've decided to take him this weekend to treat him to some hot, fresh Holey Grail donuts. Fantastic all the way around! Highly recommend stopping by for a treat that will wow any crowd!

Patty C.

Yelp
First time here. Ordered the Original Sin donut and hot draft coffee. Coffee delish, great mellow but dark brew. Donut = SUBLIME! Best I've had...yummo

Michele O.

Yelp
Where have you been all my life? This place was a stones throw away from my son's apartment. Lucky him. Why don't we have one near me? This will be my new prayer. These are no ordinary donuts. I was surprised as we were served them so fresh. Was this a made to order deal? Because when we took our first bites, they were so warm, with a little bit of a chewy consistency, and they were also so beautiful. I can look at them forever. I try to stay away from these sinful little things...I mean, I never go to a donut store, we know eating these in excess can be bad for you. Maybe it's a good thing you're not a stones throw from me. Or I'll be adding donut to my physique. Not good. Anyhow, service was ok this day. But the place was nice and clean...these donuts are worth the visit. Their draft coffee was delish too;)

Kainani K.

Yelp
Holey Grail!!! How did it take me so long to come here??? The donuts are made fresh to order and the toppings are amazing! I was a little sad because I really wanted the Lilikoi donut or the POG donut, but at least I know the flavors change every Thursday. I'll definitely keep an on the weekly flavors. I ended up getting the sampler pack because you get a free beverage with that purchase. The donuts I chose were: J Dilla: Single-origin chocolate , coconut butter. Hot Peach: Local honey, mom's almond crumble, bee pollen, peach. Chaga Chai: Chai, chaga, cinnamon sugar rolled. Island Chocolate: Single-estate chocolate, lydgate farms Kauai. The drink I chose was the Big Island Ube with house made cold coconut cloud. While all of the donuts were amazing, my favorite has the be the J Dilla! I am really looking forward to trying the other flavors as well as the two that I initially came here for.

Yelp
First time visiting and I love the location! We were walking from Ward theaters to WF and happened upon Holey Grail Donuts! Thought I'd give it a try and got the Original Sin donut. Didn't know they hand craft it upon receipt of your order, so it was warm on arrival! I should have eaten it immediately (but was full from movie popcorn) and ended up having it for breakfast the next day. It was delicious, but if you do this, remember to move the donut over the smartly placed paper protector on the bottom of the box beforehand. (Of course it got stuck waiting to be devoured!) I love the taste of a handcrafted donut and this did not disappoint. They have several other flavors and a lovely list of hot and cold coffee and tea beverages. Apologies that I failed to take a picture of the menu! The layout is interesting with high and regular height table tops and stools, most alongside the window (to be fair the view is of the side road and Ward parking lot building walls) but it's open and airy! My friend did use the restroom which is on the Ewa side of the venue; she said it was clean;). The entrance is close to the elevator to the parking lot above and there is a ramp/walkway to WF. Looks like a nice place for coffee/tea/snack time and quiet conversation. Also looks like a great place to enjoy reading a book!

Dan A.

Yelp
Very good donuts! Probably the best on the island IMO - and there a few donut spots here. It is pricey but you get what you pay for. Quality is definitely good. It's a bit small but that maybe a good thing - cuz I get to try other ones! The inside is also a nice coffee shop and there tables for seating, coffee, laptop work. Very chill ambiance. Fast service. Best if you order on the app ahead of time and pick it up. Discovered in Hawaii, locally sourced ingredients. I definitely support them!

Jennie B.

Yelp
Donuts were good and fresh. The flavors were a little more subtle than I'd like, and quite small for the price - all of their ingredient are sourced locally. The coffee menu was a bit confusing.

Andii S.

Yelp
These are absolutely my favorite donuts in the world! They're also the only ones I've ever tried that are made from (locally sourced) taro. Their whole supply chain consists of producers from the Hawaiian islands actually, and I think that's super cool. It's harder to get to now that they've moved out of Waikiki, but it gives me a reason to get in a run. Yes, I ran for these donuts, 3.1 miles to be exact. They're worth it!

Alan N.

Yelp
Really good and unique donuts, honestly a bit pricey for what you get but hey it's Hawaii, everything is expensive. Excellent coffee with a rotating menu so if you know what you want, they'll still make it even if it's not on there! Almost like a secret menu. I recommend this place.

Miguel M.

Yelp
Another spot on a list of vegan places for friends and family who were searching for one, HGD offers lots of flavors that you can tell have fresh ingredients and lots of love and care put into them - my personal favorite was a J Dilla Donut they had as a special, but any of them can stand on their own as both a snack or a breakfast pick-me-up ! - Miguel Morales Photography

Shelly L.

Yelp
Every time I walk by this place the smell of Hot Taro floats through the air and gives me a craving for these. They are so good and so unique! My favorite one is the Reincarnated, followed by the smores! The venue is super cool too, love the shape of the store front being like a fish bowl.

Tina M.

Yelp
Holey Grail is celebrating their birthday today! They are giving away one free birthday donut while supples last. Made with local lemon zest, Hawaii vanilla bean, topped with dehydrated strawberry sprinkles' and a touch of bee pollen. I ordered a chai latte and their Yuzu cake donut. Picking up my order was a breeze. It was my first time trying the chai which is made with their house made cashew milk. The milk was a bit too strong for free (strong cashew taste) and they didn't have any cinnamon which I like to add to the top of my chai teas. It also wasn't very hot, but the girl just made it..so weird. The taro cake donuts are fun, flavorful, and made with all natural ingredients! I love their concept and creativity. They are located next to Whole Foods at Ward village.

Yvette S.

Yelp
These are truely artisan donuts and are made with taro. Everything is made to order and the donuts come out hot! We ordered the Notorious P.O.C. (passionfruit, orange, guava), chocolate crunch and whisky&smores, and Lilikoi coffee cake donuts. Delicious, slightly crunchy outside, soft inside and full of flavor. The chocolate milk and hot chocolate is so creamy and delicious that you can't believe that it's non-dairy for those who are lactose intolerant. I also love the non-dairy iced draft latte at this place. This company partners with local farmers for their ingredients and the staff executes the recipes for delightful donuts! I eat these warm!

Kristen D.

Yelp
They have a really great flavors and pretty tasty! It is a little pricey, I think a 4-pack was $18. Definitely worth to try it at least once!

Marisa G.

Yelp
This review is based on my first time to Holey Grail. They are located in the same building as Whole Foods in Ward Village on street level. So you can park in their parking structure for free! Their donuts are made with taro and have no dairy, soy, or eggs and are fried in coconut oil. They are plant based with the occasional use of honey or bee pollen. All donuts are fresh and made to order! The texture was light and spongey! All the flavors were really good... I loved the Miso Honey and my mom loved the Prosperity! Their flavors rotate and change every Thursday. Can't wait to go back and try their other flavors FYI: they don't accept cash!!

Bhamidipati M.

Yelp
This is a must visit location on your next trip to Hawaii! The donuts and freshly made with Taro flour and taste just out of this world! Must must must try!

Siera S.

Yelp
Great location, right outside of Whole Foods on Queen St. Spacious with lots of tables to sit and eat, very chill spot. Friendly and personable staff. Tried the ice Ube Latte, twas delicious! Shared a Tasting Box of 4 doughnuts, very fancy! My fave would have had to be the Reincarnated doughnut, i could've eaten 4 of those lol! The only thing I didn't care for during this experience was the warm temperature inside, it was hot in there, no air circulation and if the AC was on it wasn't on very high.. could've just been early in the day though..

StaciLei T.

Yelp
I'm a sucker for the scent of coconut oil frying up their taro donuts, and trust me, one whiff and you're hooked! Located at Ward near the Whole Foods, Holey Grail Donuts are worth the pilgrimage. There's tons of seating for you to enjoy your donuts, and the shop is really bright, modern, and just a cool spot to chill at. And they're dog-friendly, they even have some treats for your pups! Each donut is a fresh, hot masterpiece, and let me tell you, it takes some serious willpower to wait for it to cool down. But hey, a little burn for a taste of heaven? Worth it. They're known for they weekly tasting box with new "donut drops" every week, often in collab with other cool brands. The hype is real, and it's so fun to see what they come up with next! They're big on supporting local agriculture and their packaging? 100% compostable. The quality here is just next level. Fresh, local ingredients, no artificial colors or flavors - it's the real deal.

Dianna R.

Yelp
My mama told me that if I don't have anything nice to say, I should not say anything at all. Well, the drink was good. I enjoyed that. The smell of the store was "unique" and pungent. My husband needed to wait outside. I can say that the service was wonderful and the store likes to source local. They are also creative with their flavours. If I had to say I had a favourite, it would be the miso doughnut. That was the least offensive.

Alysia D.

Yelp
Doughnuts are really really good. Original sin and lilikoi are my favs. I would say I am not a fan of the matcha latte. I do not like the milk they make. When I didn't like it. I was offered some else or a refund. I just got refunded for my drink.

Kaylee K.

Yelp
Donuts were great! I had the salted glaze donut. The smell inside the donut shop was very odd - almost made me dizzy. Took some time for them to make and package our donuts, but didn't take too long. Taste was awesome!

Kim L.

Yelp
Finally got a chance to try these tasty made to order taro donuts. Hot fresh and crispy, my Likikoi donut came out pretty quick and was melt in your mouth yummy. Love that they cultivate ethical and sustainable farm partnerships. I don't know if there was a local coffee bean option (my drip coffee beans came from Oregon) but I didn't see Kona coffee on the menu. Hope they can add some local options if not but this first visit did not disappoint

Justin H.

Yelp
Wow wow wow Dounts here are the best , we love coming here before my day starts. They also have perfect coffee too. Service is very good , they also have restroom inside here so makes every thing convenient. Be sure to stop by here. You will NOT be disappointed.

Joyce L.

Yelp
Holey Grail is the Nordstrom or Neiman Marcus of the donut joints. When you walk in here, you feel the urban, bar vibe. It's clean and so modern. One donut will cost close to $5. But the good news is that it's made fresh, hot, and super crispy. So with that said, I'm not sure if I like my donut super crispy. Donuts are made from taro and fried in coconut oil. They have a sample box of 4 for $18. I do want to try them on my next visit. They also serve coffee and have sitting area.

Derek V.

Yelp
EASY 5 Stars. Unbelievably delicious. Every single donut and their lattes featuring a house-made cashew coconut milk were worth raving about. Also, it's worth mentioning what a wonderful, friendly, and talented team is working there! I loved all the exposed concrete, giving the space a modern and industrial feel. It is a nice juxtaposition against the delicate menu items, for sure. It's cool, but cozy. Highly recommended, without a shadow of a doubt.

Sophie K.

Yelp
TLDR: Expensive but tasty donuts, with nice ambiance. DONUTS: They have fun flavors and they're made to order, but they are expensive. I enjoyed my strawberry fields (strawberry matcha flavor) donut, especially because it was served to me warm, but it was a whopping $4. My boyfriend's Mission Hot Chocolate donut was $6, but 20% of the proceeds went to charity. It's made with Dandelion chocolate and had a torched marshmallow on it too! But not worth $6. SERVICE: People are nice and friendly and they bring you your donut. AMBIANCE: Cool coffee shop vibes. High ceilings, simple decor, feels spacious even though there's only like 5 tables. I honestly think the ambiance is the best part of this place.

Aaliyah H.

Yelp
Finally got to try Holy Grail Donut...and you're probably gonna have to keep saying that because their menu changes every day/week. I work in central Oahu, so I can't come here every day... not even every week. But at least I know when I do make the trip, I won't be disappointed. The famous donuts made of taro are crispy on the outside, soft and fluffy on the inside, with flavors that really stand out - honey+miso?! The donuts are on the small side, especially considering you're paying $4 each, but that's to be expected. When something is vegan and the store is located in the heart of Kaka'ako, something's gotta pay the bills. The other downside is that they're 5/5 when fresh, but more like 3/5 after they've been sitting for a while and not reheated correctly. I've tried them fresh to get a fair first impression, but had to hold off on eating the whole donut because I hadn't had dinner yet. After dinner, we wanted the donuts, and while they were still good, the microwave didn't do them justice. Next time, I'll probably try reheating them in an air fryer to see if that brings them closer to their fresh-out-of-the-oven goodness. Great place for fresh breakfast or fresh dessert, whether you're vegan or not, but maybe skip it if you're buying it for the potluck. Also, pretty solid wifi connection, if you need someplace to sit and chill the shop is a great place, I just hope they fix their A/C. I don't know if it was broken or not, but that fan was not cutting it, especially since I can feel all the heat in the air from the freshly made donuts.

LARA S.

Yelp
Not sure these manini little things are worth my hard earned $4.50 a piece. I tried to like them but for the price, I'd love a Sidecar instead...

Sabreena N.

Yelp
Taro donuts fried in coconut oil! They were made to order, served piping hot and delightful. With a crispy exterior and a light, fluffy interior, they struck the perfect balance--not overly sweet, making them satisfying without feeling heavy. I ordered the GRL Swirl and added a donut hole. It had a pleasantly balanced flavor with a nice tartness. It's spacious, with plenty of tables for dining, creating a relaxed atmosphere. The staff is super friendly, enhancing the overall experience.

Sandy D.

Yelp
I can't have the donuts because I'm gluten sensitive and I've asked about the donuts before. I know I can't have them which makes me sad, but I do enjoy their drinks. I treat myself almost once a week to an iced ube latte or maybe a chocolate milk after my 6 a.m. pilates class. I wait until 7 and order on the app so I can accumulate points. During the winter, I tried their special chocolate drinks. My only complaint is the price I'm paying for such a small cup and when I add ice, there's less drink for drinking. I tried the hot ube latte, but I like the iced the best. I've had the iced chai also. When they have their weekday morning special of drink with a donut, I'll gift my donut to someone at work. They are happy and grateful. I wish they included different drinks for that morning special. I'm not a big chai drinker. I would love if they made a gluten free version of the donut, I can keep on hoping.

Rachael H.

Yelp
Been meaning to try this place for a while, and finally got around to it! Great location, easy to walk to, especially before/after grocery shopping at Whole Foods next door. I got a maple glazed donut with toasted coconut and flaky salt on top (forgot what the name is, but it was a special) and it came out piping hot. I've never had such a fresh donut before, and I love that their batter is made out of taro & their ingredients are supplied by local farms. On the pricier side for a donut, but the quality is there. The inside though was super hot and I don't know if the AC was broken or if it's always like that, but it was almost unbearable inside, so we ate it outside, although outdoor seating is limited and bar seats only.

Cheryl L.

Yelp
Great ohana treat. Try it out to see the great combos. Service was fast and the location was great with plenty of of parking across the street

Courtney O.

Yelp
At first, you might be a little shocked by the hefty price tag, but take a bite and you'll see what makes these so special! These donuts are made fresh to order. They are so light airy. Instead of feeling disgusting after eating them, they leave you still feeling nice and light. We got a variety of flavors but the strawberry was a winner! They use quality ingredients and supposedly have less calories than your typical donut.

Krishen W.

Yelp
I was walking around after an outdoors excursion nearby and came across this donut ship! At first I was a bit concerned since it was empty, as it's located in a strange place behind the whole foods. However, the donuts were great! I had ordered the taro and maple pumpkin donuts and they were made fresh to order! The donuts melted in my mouth and were so soft! Not to mention they are gluten free and vegan, not that I could really tell! The donuts aren't overly sweet either, which makes it all the better! The shop is nice and quiet if you want to get work done, but I unfortunately did not see any outlets. Overall, a great donut experience!

Jenna S.

Yelp
Holey Grail - delicious hot crispy and moist donuts! These donuts are very unique, I don't think I can compare them to any other donut I've had. The flavors are simple but sophisticated and they keep the menu pretty simple. There is definitely a unique smell in the donut shop that I am not a fan of (maybe it's the dough or oil they use?), but the donuts are worth the return they are pricey so it's a treat.

William C.

Yelp
Amazing taro-based donuts that have a great cakey-yet-chewy texture. Lots of delicious flavors, but you can't go wrong with the OG Glazed or Island Chocolate. Donuts are made to order, so you might need to wait a few minutes (especially if things are busy). Coffee is also excellent -- I got the Cacao Latte, which had rich chocolate and toasty coffee flavor. If you're lactose-intolerant, this place is perfect, since no dairy is used in making the donuts, and the coffee uses cashew coconut milk. Service is super-friendly, and the place has a nice airy feel. It's in the same building as the Whole Foods (just around the corner from the main entrance), so it's a perfect stop after grocery shopping. Sure it's a little pricey, but the quality of the donuts and coffee is worth it for me!

Megan K.

Yelp
Not the best donuts I've had but good nonetheless. Definitely worth checking out. Very aesthetic little donut shop by ward village. Flavor was good and donuts were fluffy and chewy.

Shelby I.

Yelp
Can't go wrong with vegan donuts made to order from locally sourced ingredients! I've been to all 3 Ward location changes from when they were a food truck to their first Ward shop to their newest location on Queen St. These donuts do not at all taste "healthy" but a light and moist cake donut. Their unique flavors change weekly and everything I've tried has been delicious! Most recently, we went to a Halloween event at Ward where they were giving away free donuts! However, the line was waaayyyy too long so we decided to support local and just buy a 4 pack! This weeks Tasting Box included: 1. Yuzu Creamsicle: this was our FAV (hence my hubby going back to get 4 more!) It was citrusy but still sweet. There was even a piece of candied yuzu on each donut! If you love citrus and want to try something different, this one's for you! 2. Saffron Snickerdoodle: this one tasted like a churro to me! It was covered in cinnamon sugar. I did see specks of saffron but couldn't taste it. 3. Kabocha Spice: this was supposed to be Kona coffee, Kabocha drizzle, and toasted seeds. This didn't really taste like coffee but I did taste Kabocha. This was our least favorite but still good. 4. J Thrilla: dark chocolate with coconut drizzle. Can't go wrong with chocolate and coconut. Love this classic. I've also remembered their maple bacon donut being good last time I had it. This is vegan so it's not real bacon but did have a smoky, salty flavor to it. Another classic sweet & salty combo. Prices have gone up over the years. I remember it being $15 for 4 but it's not $18 for 4. This is definitely a once in a while treat! Individual donuts are $4.50 each

Yelp
I've visited the Holey Grail in Los Angeles as well and I think the two shops differ in vibes due to appealing to the different markets but the amazing taste in flavor and quality of the donuts are the same. The donuts are best when fresh. We tried one in the store right when we got it and it was perfect. The donut was still warm, the glaze was perfect and not too sweet, the exterior was crunchy but the inside was soft and light. Not many donut shops offer this kind of flavor and quality. After trying 5 different flavors, my favorite was the Castaway which is a coconut lime. It had the right amount of citrus to coconut flavor. So well done!

Yelp
Chocolate crunch with donut hole. Beautiful concept (made to order) but I couldn't get past the tase of old oil. Clean place with hardworking people. This review is for the disappointing (for seven bucks) donut only.

Yelp
First time to their new location next to Whole Foods on queen street. Fast service walked in and placed my order waited like 8 min (had a few orders before me). Nice new location, parking is inconvenient (have to park on Whole Foods parking and either go thru Whole Foods or catch exterior elevator or walk down from parking lot. Doable just inconvenient. Love their donut, can't compare with anything else and can't taste it's made from Taro. One suggestion: eat fresh and warm the day your purchase. Thee don't hold well like some other donut places. You are paying for the amazing local and clean ingredients. Donut is on the smaller side, but so so delish!

Yelp
Super fancy little donut shop located next to Whole Foods. We were out walking and stopped in. I am guessing if you are driving you park in the whole foods lot or next door in the Ward Entertainment center parking lot. Both super quick walk to this place. It is a very mellow little vibe. Not a "crazy, fun, hip" donut shop. Much more subdued I guess you would so. You have one type of donut but different flavors. So it is not a place you can go in and get a long john, maple bar, cake donut and glazed donut. Those are not options here. We got the assortment and the flavors all sort of tasted the same to me. Nothing that really stood out. Very expensive little donuts. They do make them right there for you so very fresh. For me, they are good but not something I would do again.
