I took a date to Holey Moley on opening night, and we had a good time. There are 3 putt putt courses (9 holes each) you can play on, there's a fully stocked bar with food options, and there's even karaoke rooms to book. Beyond this, Holey Moley is located within the Regal Cinema (Greenway/Wesleyan), so, you could easily catch a movie before or afterwards.
We tried the yellow course and had a good time. Each hole has a particular well thought out theme, but the layout of each hole is fairly similar in terms of difficulty and strategy.
The thing I was really impressed with was the themed novelty drinks at the bar. Typically drinks of this kind can range towards the $20s, but I found each of the ones we tried to be not only affordable but also tasty. Not to mention, there's a bar in regal, but those drinks are way more over priced than these drinks, and they are arguably worse crafted drinks.
Opening night was relatively chill. I was expecting a significant number of kinds hanging out and bogarting all the courses, but it was mostly adults, and I was pleasantly surprised that it wasn't overly crowded. That being said, it was approximately 10pm on a Friday.
One downside to this location is that parking isn't always readily available. This is for the theater as well, and while they have a parking garage with plenty of spots, you do have to pay to park.
This new spot is definitely worth checking out especially if you're a putt putt enthusiast or if you have a hot date coming up. Again, worse case, you can always go to the movies afterwards.
Some tips:
There is limited free parking on the side and back of the building. Also, if you don't mind a brisk little walk, you can park next to the Bank of America building near Costco down the road. This area is always brightly lit, and you know there is security, because it's a bank.
Cheers!!
