Our experience at the hotel was outstanding. We held a large family event and the hotel was perfect for our needs. They worked with us to obtain a room block and reasonable nightly rate for the rooms. With over 10 rooms booked we were able to secure a meeting room to host our family. Kailyn in sales was very professional and responsive to our planning requests. The location was near all of the events we had planned for the weekend and in fact in most cases we were able to walk to the venue. The parking was free and the parking lot was well lit. Because we had a multi generational event, the free breakfast was a big hit because people could come down at their leisure to eat - what was actually a very good offering. Horace was very hospitable and made sure that our family was well taken care of during breakfast. The rooms were a nice size and clean. Overall, I would most definitely recommend this hotel for a stay and would stay there again.

Check in took entirely too long as the two associates seemed to be stuck in low gear. When I finally arrived in my room there was an odd and slightly musty smell but when I saw the thermostat was set a bit warm I assumed wrongly that the smell could be chalked up to the warm temp. I adjusted the thermostat lower and left for dinner. Getting back to the room after dinner I went to bed and the next morning happened to catch a glimpse of something above the window. Mold. A big spot of mold where the hvac vent blew onto the wall and ceiling. This was the source of the musty smell. I've written to Holiday Inn about this and they assured me that "It was being taken care of" and that the hotel management would be reaching out to me. Nope. Silence. When I followed up with the management I was told that "The local hotel assured them that they had been in contact with me and that all was well." Nope. This is a place I'll not be returning to on my next trip to Augusta.

As soon as you walk into this hotel, it smells clean. Even though they are going through renovations! The staff was amazing, attentive, and very knowledgeable with recommendations on good food spots. The room was exceptionally neat and tidy, and another plus was there was no carpet! The bathroom was a decent size, and clean. I didn't mind the view either. Had nice amenities' (fridge and microwave) that made it convenient for my stay. Had fresh towels, and a made bed every day of my stay and I was grateful for it. Highly recommend!

Duplicate charge and no follow-up — a reminder that training and tools matter. I stayed here for one night while in town for a funeral. Unfortunately, I was charged twice for my room. Since I couldn’t address it in person, I called and was told a manager would follow up — but I never received that call. The front desk staff were polite, but they clearly seemed unfamiliar with the payment system and unsure how to resolve the duplicate charge. I understand that mistakes happen, but when they do, prompt communication and a clear process are essential. This feels like an opportunity for better staff training and possibly an upgrade to a more reliable POS system. Guests shouldn’t have to chase down a billing error days later. There are many hotels in the area, and I hope this one takes steps to make sure the basics are handled smoothly in the future. On top of all the my room wasn’t clean and the tub was filthy but I was emotional about the passing of family so couldn’t address these issues out right.

Our stay started out great, Reception was friendly and prompt. The room however, whole large and clean was stark. A couch, a small coffee table, and a wall cabinet were all that were there... no rug, nothing on the walls . The bathroom didn't have sufficient towel racks, and the bedroom had no decorations, just a bed and a single nightstand on one side. We were informed it was a room still subject to their renovation and redecorating. Since it was a single night stay we accepted it and beared the discomfort. The bed however was far too stiff and uncomfortable, limiting sleep. Breakfast left much to be desired. On a positive note, the staff was friendly and accommodating. My IHG status was not addressed.

Positive: The staff were friendly, courteous and considerate. The room was tastefully decorated, and the minimalist style contributed to visual calm. The freshly-baked cinnamon rolls included in the continental breakfast were fantastic. Negative: ""

If you are visiting Augusta for the downtown nightlife, this is the hotel for you! Located just a few blocks from several bars, it would be a great spot to set up for a weekend of bar hopping and booty shaking. Its newly remodeled so everything is fresh and vibrant. Clean lobby, hall areas and renovated rooms. However, we were not in Augusta to experience the nightlife so this wasn't the best location for us. Renovation was still ongoing upon check in so it was a bit chaotic on the first floor. Elevator was dark and dirty. Our 3rd floor room had been remodeled complete with tile floor, hard beds and modern furnishings. The room clearly had been a smoking room in it's previous life as there was a definite funk in the room mixed with cleaning product smell. Bathroom was bright and clean with Dove brand products provided. Breakfast provided is pretty standard but there wasn't much available when we went shortly after it began. The ladies were working diligently to get it stocked but it took a bit.
