Wow! What amazing service! I highly recommend this hotel and especially its staff.||Traveling to Britain for a 2-week vacation, our party of seven spent our final few days of the tip in London: four adults and three young children. Just as we arrived at the hotel, a coach-load of visitors were also arriving, but Husrev, at the front counter, went out of his way to help us - finding a cart for our bags and offering the children treats. This was the start of a wonderful experience. On our second evening, we met local family at the hotel - another two adults and two small children - and enjoyed dinner in the hotel restaurant. Once again, the staff were so helpful, preparing tables, offering the children free treats (again!), and taking a family picture for us. As our trip neared its end, we were concerned about how to get the seven of us and our 20 bags from the hotel to Heathrow airport. Once again, Husrev came to the rescue, arranging for a large van and driver to pick us up at the hotel and deliver us safely to the airport. Honestly, I can't say enough about the staff at this hotel, especially Husrev and one of his colleagues, Kais.||The hotel itself is in a great location, just five minutes' walk from North Acton tube station on the Central line (in zone 2 but a handful of stops from central London). It seems a very safe area, and the walk from hotel to tube station is straight - you can't get lost. From Heathrow airport, take the Elizabeth line and change at Ealing Broadway; the total journey is maybe 20 minutes. It's also not that far by taxi to/from central London, although it's probably a 30-minute taxi ride to Heathrow and longer during rush-hour. (I'm sure most know this, but I didn't. It's now so easy to travel on London Underground. Just hold your credit card on the reader as you enter and when you leave; there's no longer any need for a ticket.)||Breakfast at the hotel was excellent and plentiful. Take the advice posted in the hotel elevator, though, and plan your breakfast time because it gets busy (and there's a line) at peak times. We used the hotel restaurant for dinner all three nights. The selection was limited but adequate (including for young children), the food was tasty, and the service was excellent.||I spent a lot of time planning this vacation in Britain, and my biggest concern, quite frankly, was where to stay for the London portion of our trip. In central London, hotels are very expensive but convenient. Away from the city, hotels are priced more reasonably, but I wouldn't want to spend undue time traveling into the city. This hotel turned out to be ideal for a family group of seven people: a great compromise between price and location. (Note: there are two Holiday Inn hotels close to North Acton tube station. The other is even closer, but I chose to stay at this one based on reviews and hotel facilities. Given the superb service offered by the hotel team, it was definitely the right choice. As a very frequent traveler, I highly recommend this hotel. And thank you again Husrev and team for being so helpful and kind to the children. You helped to make our vacation one to remember.
