Fun summer vibes and really good food! We enjoyed eating inside, but there are outdoor tables as well. The staff is friendly and accommodating. Lots of locals. The food is fresh and well made. Excellent fries! Street parking can be challenging.

Classic Americana. Simple food. Tomato aspic salad was a surprise menu item. The cake and pie selection and ice cream sandwiches will be of particular interest.

Such a fun local spot to enjoy breakfast burgers or amazing layered cakes!!! We can’t help ourselves and usually get 3-4 slices to bring home 🤪 and share with family!!! Lady Lord Baltimore and yellow chocolate cake are the best!

The portion size is laughable, as the fact this reminds me so much of a McDonald’s hamburger as well as the fries. I got the beach bum to and that also reminded me of a mchicken at McDonald’s. The waiter didn’t understand that we were telling him this place is expensive and kept trying to give us the menu and order more. This is very sad for me because I used to love this place. But spending over 20 dollars on a McDonald’s dinner is straight up NOT ACCEPTABLE. Would not go here again! The pickle is almost as big as the burger.

We stopped for a quick bite before heading to the beach. The food was tasty and service was friendly. Some quirky touches near the restrooms too!

This is such a cute little spot tucked away off the boulevard. Unfortunately I missed breakfast but the burgers, fries, and chicken sandwiches looked excellent The cakes, pies, and milkshakes looked delicious and I’ll certainly be back to try those. Also, the prices here can’t be beat

The Holiday is not merely a restaurant in Long Beach Island. It is a landmark; it is a relic, and as with any relic, it deserves reverence. This quintessentially American establishment stands for family, kindness, and camaraderie. It is the embodiment of the best qualities of American culture — qualities that have long been forgotten. One day their story will get out there. Don’t take this place for granted. I hope it never changes.

Summer hours are 8am-9pm every day Sunday thru Saturday. Confirmed this with owner when we visited for breakfast. Perfect slice of beachy vibe like you remember from childhood. Good food. Leave room for pie, lemon merengue our fav.

We went here last night for dessert since we have heard great things about their cake slices. When you walk in there is a round bar to sit at and all of the cakes in the middle. The waiter that helped us was very friendly and gave recommendations since it was our first time there. We ordered the chocolate-chocolate and the vanilla-white slices. My chocolate slice was a little dry and the icing was crumbly, and unfortunately was not as good as I expected. The vanilla-white slice was a little dry as well and had a marshmallow frosting. We are thinking they may have been not as good since it's not the height of the season yet. We were glad we tried this LBI staple though and may try it again later this summer!

Came in for a mint chocolate chip Milkshake. But with a plot twist...I brought in my own double shot of espresso to add to it. The young man who waited in me looked momentarily surprised but made me a milkshake worth writing home about! It was delicious. I loved the decor and vibe of the place and will return to dine on my next LBI trip. Hopefully soon!!!!

Yum yum yum. This place was a 10/10 for me. As soon as we got there it was such a cute chill vibe, we sat ourselves outside but there was availability at some of the barstools inside. Our server came over with water and menus quite quickly and was so friendly and nice. I got the holiday (regular) single cheeseburger with onions, pickles, and lettuce. It was so good, it was a smash burger so perfectly thin and easy to eat. Also got the onion rings which were perfect. The slam burger and ol Barney burger were also given delicious reviews--11/10 by my company. The cheese fries were also very good. Lastly we got milkshakes. Oh my! These were decadent; perfectly thick but still manageable to drink or eat. The service remained consistently great throughout our meal. And for the best part they took out orders on 3 separate checks making it extremely easy and the total was $20 before tip! Throughly enjoyed and would recommend to anyone in LBI!!

The food was simply put, amazing. I had the old Barney burger and a slice of lemon not Meringue made with cream cheese frosting. Out of this world. The service was very friendly, attentive and the owner spent time with customers. The ambiance was very interesting and family friendly. I will be back for more. Great spot in the middle of a residential area of LBI. They had tons of outdoor seating but we sat inside because it was nostalgic to look at the desserts and all the framed pictures on the walls. This spot is very straight forward, Burgers, grilled cheese, milkshakes, ice cream and a ton of homemade desserts. I got the slam burger and was honestly a little hesitant about the the thousand island on the burger but it was delicious. It's a thin patty and just super simple ingredients but it definitely hits the spot. The buns are also super soft and fresh. Dessert seems like a must here. I went with the yellow cake and chocolate frosting with a small scoop of ice cream. It is a huge portion so sharing is obviously a great idea. Everything was great, I'd love to try their pies next time. There was a ton of teenagers working behind the counter. The service was absolutely fantastic everyone was very helpful always checked in on us and made sure we had everything we needed. Come here for some greasy delicious eats - oh and get the onion rings! They're great.

Wow,what a disapointment. The place us a cool little place. I had the chicken sandwich. Very greasy and the bun was way to small. The chicken was obviously frozen. My wife had a burger and that was worse. In fairness the desserts looked great but we were not willing to stay to try them and the service was fast.

Sweet little spot on LBI. Burgers and onion rings were yummy and the staff was very friendly. Wasn't too keen on the lady lord Baltimore cake but the blueberry pie was ok. Also it was pretty expensive for the type of food you are getting. Spent $100 on burgers, fries and onion rings for a family of 4 with no drinks!

This restaurant always has a staff member ready to serve you! When I am there the workers seem very hardworking and friendly folks! One person in particular, Taylor Davidson, was extremely friendly and made the best milkshake that has ever touched my tastebuds! I go to HSB about once every two weeks and the service there has been nothing but exemplary. I will be back in another two weeks!

For one prices a bit high. A chicken sandwich sm onion rings hot dog fries and 2 coffee's Was $48. Wow. Then i was charged $3 for bacon that was on the menu for &1. And at rhe end a 3 percent handling fee. Wtf is a handling fee? Wont return

Expensive for an outside shack with picnic table dining. For example 7.00 French fries? Food was well presented but salad was bland and again overpriced. They have to turn a profit in three short months so I get it. One and done!

Best key lime pie ever!! The other pies were pretty good and their signature cake was okay. The show is the key lime though.

Stopped for breakfast on our last morning down the shore and LOVED. Never had breakfast here and it was so so good, for a great price, and the service was 10/10. Thank you Holiday Snack Bar for being a staple for us every single summer; now we will be back for breakfast too! ;)

Very cute place to get lunch! My boyfriend and I stopped for lunch because of the unique charm from outside, and we assumed it would have a very diverse menu. We were hooked as soon as we stepped inside! A beautiful round bar in an old original building with a simple, but big menu. Every staff member was kind and courteous. My company and I split a cheeseburger, cheesefries and an order of onion rings (which were out of this world!) The bill was pretty affordable, and we wished we could have tried one of their cakes! Definitely coming back sometime soon!

Walked out after 10+ minute wait. The Snack Bar used to be my favorite place on the island, but it has really gone downhill lately. Sad situation for a former icon on LBI.

I fucking LOVE Holiday Snack Bar. Their burgers are among the very best I've had. Simple, normally sized and cooked to perfection, they're perfect. Perfect brings me to their apple crisp which I recommend warm with a scoop of their vanilla ice cream. Their pies and cakes are incredible. Go there, love it and buy the shirt. I did.

it has good burger fries. The dune fries are really good but the regular fries are made. All right came fast.

This place was absolutely awful are waiter was slow and my burger was undercooked. We waited for are food for over an hour.

Ate here twice this past week, had chicken planks and onion rings for one lunch and a grilled cheese with ham for second lunch. Both meals were a great price and have to say the chicken planks were excellent, moist and tender, 6 big pieces. Service was fast. We ate inside one time and at one of the outside tables the second time. Very clean. We'll be back later in the season.

Can't miss LBI staple... must love old world burgers and shakes... family fun atmosphere.

I am having coming here since I was a kid. The new owners have made it look so awesome but kept the same ambiance inside. The food is good and comforting. Nothing fancy but delicious. The deserts are outstanding. I hope it continues for my grandchildren

Key lime pie is a must! Definitely get the pies and the salad. All the food is amazing

Love the old timey feel at this fine establishment! Seated without an issue at 8pm even though they close at 9. Our waitress was very friendly and made some recommendations. Had a chance to try the slam burger, crab cake sandwich, old bay cheese fries and root beer float. Everything was amazing. Burger was seasoned perfectly for my taste and filling enough. Old bay cheese fries were great. I enjoyed them but was a bit heavy on the old bay seasoning so if you're not a fan of the old bay, go regular. Def will be back to try their chicken sandwiches.

Great place. The new outside seating is pretty cool but don't miss out on seeing inside, such a unique space. Their chocolate milk needs help. Yes, I'm giving it 4 stars because of that. When a 4 year old says I wanted chocolate milk, not plain milk, you know it's made with barely any syrup.

Been eating there since about 1952 as my grandmother used to take me there HSB is like my house on LBI as my grandsons are 5th generation to eat there The Bowker's are the best in keeping HSB authentic

The Baja double and onion rings were great. The staff was also very nice. Not a huge menu but plenty of options even for the picky eaters.

Came here this past Friday. Had the 'Ol Barney Burger.' Better known as a bacon cheeseburger with the trimmings and a pickle chip. Cooked perfectly along with fries and onion rings, both a winner. For dessert it was a huge slice of the Lady Lord Baltimore cake, three layers, two white and one chocolate (or was it the other way?). Very fresh and verrrry good. Took a slice of Banana Cream Pie, that was a disappointment, but, the key lime pie was killer! The server behind the counter was thorough and helpful. If you're in Beach Haven, a place to leave room for dessert.

I used to love the snack bar. Came here every summer. I came in tonight for a piece of cake w my daughter- yellow cake w chocolate frosting. The cake was dry and the icing flakes and fell off when you touched it w a fork. WTF? Icing should melt into your fork as you cut the cake, not flake off like dandruff. The cake was $7.50 which I wouldn't mind paying if it were fresh and delicious. Then I pay with $20 cash and receive $12 in change. Again, WTF?!?! You don't have correct change and you short change the customer? And you want me to sign a petition to keep you open? I think not.

This is exactly what it says!!! Snack bar! No thrills it's comfort food. Hamburger's, variety of grilled cheese, chicken sandwich, root beer floats, Crab cake, cake and pie... All American ! It's actually really cute and the back yard seating is very pretty with it's landscaping. It's very fast for takeout. I recommend the Beach Bum chicken sandwich, even if I make my husband finish it's very filling

I had the double cheeseburger and fries. The burger was very good. The fries were a bit overcooked but still tasty. The service was very good.

This busy place was almost across the street from where we were staying. Upon checking it out I found it was a unique hamburger greasy spoon joint. We did decided to order some cake to go. Was absolutely delicious!

Fun summer place to take the family. Perfect for kids. Is it the best burger I have ever had. No. The best onion rings or fries? No. But it is an LBI institution for a reason. Great vibes and food is always consistently good. Nice they improved outside seating. Now it only the town would get off their ass and leave them alone.

My BFF and I met up for a Maycation, and let me tell you, the offseason on LBI is quite a sight to behold. I could count the number of people spotted on a couple of hands and maybe a foot. We have some truly delicious food and drink during our few days, and that includes a quick stop at the Holiday Snack Bar. I'm more of a grocery chain sheetcake kind of person, but their homemade cake is second-to-none. Throw in some delicious fried fare, and Holiday Snack Bar makes for the perfect beach stop any time of year.

Great service. Awesome for a casual burger and fantastic cakes! Recommend after the beach or water park. Don't forget the cake!

Great burgers, and excellent pies. Friends of mine who haven't been on the island for 25 years still rave about the burgers and fries. Outside seating is plentiful. Service is excellent.

Love the Holiday Snack Bar. Old school burger joint vibe, recently changed ownership but still amazing as always. BYOB, indoor seating and outdoor seating available. My go-to is the Jetty Chicken sandwich, Great Bay fries and vanilla coke.

Local dive restaurant with a limited menu, excellent burgers and great desserts. Reasonable prices. Uncomfortable cramped indoor counter seating and some outdoor seating. Been in business for about 75 years and is a local icon. Food is nothing special but it is consistent and a good value. Enthusiastic service.

This place is so good! The food was so tastey and thrilling to eat. The workers were kind and outgoing. The vibe of the place is great.

This was absolutely a fantastic culinary experience! This restaurant is sort of off the beaten path. In other words, you really have to look to find this place and it's really worth looking for! I have to say that the waitress, Vanessa, was extremely helpful. She was very friendly. She made great suggestions. And she was extremely kind throughout the entire dining experience. We ordered simple meals. I ordered a cheeseburger, split pea soup, and french fries. The hamburger was delicious. You could tell that the meat used was real ground beef that was pressed early in the morning and just waiting for us to arrive. I could go on and on about how fantastic my experience was eating here however I just want to say if you want to have a really fine dining experience, at an out-of-the-way place, with a real rustic atmosphere, where you can eat outside, come here to the Holiday Snack Bar. It is well worth your time and your pallet.

Ordered for pick up. Arrived 20 mins later when they said it would be ready. Waited another half hour. Got home and they left out one of two burgers. When i went back and shared with the owner that it had been an hour and 15 minutes to get the last burger now headed home to eat cold food she told me 'it happens' I'm eating at Barrys where food and mgt is better. 'It happens ' that new mgt takes on more than they can handle and a place goes downhill.

An annual family favorite for three generations going back to the mid-1960s. Homemade layer cakes are awesome -- we always have a piece of cake as an appetizer. Remember -- it's a snack bar, not an internationally famous French Restaurant. And a very good snack bar at that. Go there with reasonable expectations and you will not be disappointed.

Went to the Holiday Snack Bar for breakfast, our second time in two days, this morning. Once again the food was stellar! Menu items we had on our two visits included: Loco Moco, Bud's Creamed Dried Beef, Quiche, The Classic, Lala's Pineapple Bread Pudding and a Blueberry Scone, all of these menu items were exceptional! Their breakfast and lunch fare are both unique and delicious! Owners Eileen and Brian Bowker truly make you feel like family as does their amazing staff! If you are ever on LBI, I highly recommend a trip to the Holiday Snack Bar, in Beach Haven, for either breakfast, lunch or dinner! You won't be disappointed!

I got a short rib grilled cheese here that blew my bathing suit off. The pie is A+. Go early & often.

Been going here my whole life, and my mom and aunt have been since they were young too (my aunt even worked there as a teenager in the 60's). Thankfully it hasn't changed too much. The interior is still the way it always has been and is so charming and casual. Staring at the cakes in the middle is the best part. The menu has also remained mostly the same - which is a good thing!! The side salad with thru blue cheese dressing is always incredible- crunchy lettuce, hard boiled egg, and the best blue cheese dressing ever. The burgers are tiny and classic-amazing. The blts are crunchy and perfect every time. The milkshakes are thin- which is how we like them, you can actually drink them! And the cakes and pies are always the best. The lady lord, the chocolate cake with white icing, or any cake w their chocolate icing are all family faves! We come back every year. I hope they maintain the classic menu and interior so we can keep coming to this forever favorite for years to come!!

PIE, PIE, PIE!!!!!! My after dinner dessert place, wait not just dinner after or before any meal sad to see they couldn't stay open until Chowderfest weekend

I could swim in their signature sweet and sour burger sauce!! I eat it the way a Holiday Snack Bar groupie taught me in the early 90's. 1 burger, topped with raw onion, burger red relish, and dripping with the sweet and sour sauce. The place has not lost its charm. The new owners, cleaned it up and continued to hire the best! Happy place, classic place..kids and adults alike..will return again and again. Such a Beach Haven Gem!
