Today my sister and I visited this restaurant for the first time, recommended by another local business we went to. Nice community supporting each other The greeter was very nice and asked if we wanted to sit out on the patio or inside. We chose inside and she then said, "Well how about a seat by the window so you can still enjoy the patio?" which was Very nice: large tent with many metal patio tables and chairs w/ cushions. The perimeter was landscaped upwards to block the view and noise from the 5 lane roadway. Many flowers in containers, baskets and pots. There's an area next to the patio where they've planted a garden for the vegetables they'll use in their meals! Around the perimeter of the building they have decorative plants with tomato plants in between, sunflowers were also on the rise. This menu was huge so I didn't take a photo (because the smaller font would've been hard to read) but it had just about everything on it. I asked our fantastic server Jennifer, "What are you famous for here?" and she rattled off numerous facts starting with, "If there's something that isn't good, it's not on the menu. Many homemade meals: pot roast, meatloaf, our turkey is real off the bone turkey not a "lunch meat type" the corned beef is good. Our mashed potatoes are real potatoes, nothing else. Our fish is cod or salmon, also fresh we don't use frozen. Burgers are popular, sandwiches of all kinds. We serve breakfast all day but the one thing I wouldn't recommend at this time of day (5 pm) would be the sausage gravy because it's not as fresh. Homemade soups, we're known for our pies especially the cream pies: banana and coconut." My sister had meat loaf w/ mashed potatoes and I had 1 of the Specials: spaghetti and meatballs (I chose meat sauce over marinara). Both the meat loaf and meatballs were so delicious and flavorful, my spaghetti was cooked well adenté and Texas toast garlic bread. Both our plates were steaming hot when delivered to the table. We both had house salads which were a good size: fancier mixed greens, the mildest red onion I've ever tasted, homemade croutons which were wonderfully seasoned and almost disintegrated because they weren't rock hard and scraping up your mouth. Typical salad dressings but I chose ranch because it was... homemade! I noticed they had a fancier coffee station with syrups to make lattes or flavored coffee. Our server was so attentive, friendly and helpful, including her interactions with her trainee Jackie(?) that I could overhear. The booth tabletops had ads promoting other local businesses and a spot in the middle to play Tic Tac Toe and Hangman with dry erase markers! Ambiance was warm and inviting, great for larger groups/ parties, good for kids and dress is casual to as fancy as you want to be that day! Facilities were clean, spacious. Large private parking lot. Unsure if they served alcohol but I had the vibe that they did; call ahead if you need to know. In the small 'lobby' between the 2 sets of doors they even had a bookshelf! Which I thought was very cool Prices were $$-$$$, appropriate for the high level of food quality, customer service and satisfaction we received. Which makes it very easy to say that I highly recommend you try this local business! We live 35-40 miles away but we will be back again!
