"Holler Brewing jokes that their beer list is so ephemeral, it “rotates with the season, the lunar cycle, and the latest CDC guidance.” Standards include Dollar Pills Y’all, a clean and crisp German-style pilsner, and Slow Clap, a dry-hopped IPA with notes of grapefruit and mango. They also offer nitro-enhanced cold brew coffee on tap. Those leaning into October festivities, including Oktoberfest and Halloween, will enjoy the malty, light and smooth Poptoberfest, or the Scary Stories pumpkin amber ale." - Sean Hekmat, Brittany Britto Garley, Megha McSwain

Google
Nice bar and restaurant area with a great view of the brewery. A tasty variety of beers with a great menu of flavors. Worth a stop while hitting up breweries in the Houston area.

Alexander Paiz

Google
TIP: If you are not sure what to order, they can give you samples. I asked “for the darkest beer” because I drink like a sailor, but clear beers are a great too!

Felipe Acosta

Google
Great place to do a flight and try new flavors. Yesterday, the Night Vision DIPA was my favorite one!

Google
Such a fun atmosphere!!! The staff is extremely friendly and helpful and not afraid to give recommendations! I love the blue hues. There's plenty of options and they have a good parking situation. They tend to have food available onsite with different Houston local eats. You can also get a flight (which is a must with all the choices!)

Marti Garza

Google
What a fantastic find! 16 beers on tap, and a flight of 6 for 18 bucks. Wide variety of tank-fresh beers. The strawberry golden and hazy IPA were delicious! Have also had 2 delicious sours. Friendly and helpful bartender. Definitely will come back. Took a growler to go!

Stephen Harvey

Google
Great brewery option in Houston. Selection is plentiful. There is live music sometimes and the place can get packed on Saturday afternoon. Lots of outside seating if weather permits.

DANIEL MACDONALD

Google
Go Czech yourself worked really well. Parking out front... An informal drinkerie to waste an afternoon in.

Antonio Helm

Google
I went for an art market went into tap room pleasantly surprised if the AC was stronger another star cheap great beer. A large variety of lagers, pilsners , and stouts reasonable priced. Fresh from the tank. The staff friendly well versed, and quick. An excellent optionplenty of parking.

Neal T.

Yelp
Holler has a nice patio (some shared patio areas). Lots of tv screens & lots of nice folks to watch a game with.

Linda S.

Yelp
It is a very cute brewery! It has around 50 people's worth of seating and a really nice outdoor seating area with nice outdoor string lights. Inside there are hop shaped neon lights! They have a variety of options, mostly IPA's. I wish they had more of a sour menu. The only sour they had- I didn't like.

Jennifer H.

Yelp
You picked the correct location for the best beer in Houston. Wow!!! This place has something for everyone and then some. From light to dark you can't go wrong on your selection . I would recommend getting a flight. Their Fire in the Hole was phenomenal!!!

Danielle C.

Yelp
This place is definitely exactly as advertised. It's a cute little micro brewery that specializes in making excellent craft beers. we had a flight here and very much enjoyed most of the selections and especially the wit beer. We even got a 4 pack to go. Service is walk up at the bar and there is a self serve water station and the bartenders were friendly. While, they don't provide food themselves they do let you bring in food from outside.

Rebecca W.

Yelp
Stopped in on a random Monday we had off while the rest of the world was working. If you're in the situation to be looking for a mid-day, mid-week beer, this is the spot to come to! We both got the hazy IPA on the menu and it was super tasty. Nice outdoor space too! First and kind service at the bar.

Ann G.

Yelp
My husband and I LOVE THIS BREWERY!! The beer is good and everybody is friendly. Beach Vibe is our favorite beer from them because it's just light and refreshing. The prices are reasonable and they allow dogs in their patio. We just stumbled upon this brewery because it's a 5 minute walk from our house and recently we just joined their running club called Holler Haulers which happens every Wednesday. They have other things going on on other days of the week also like trivia night but I'm not sure which day that happens. It's small inside but there are enough seating and there are plenty of seating outside. There is also a taco stand called Tacos Bombero outside of the brewery if you would like something to eat. They have a parking lot so parking should not be an issue here.

Rachel I.

Yelp
I am a huge fan of Holler! I've been going here for years and love how they have a rotating selection of beers (lots of them are extremely tasty)! There's always a mix of staples, seasonals, and new beers to try. Their gourmet popcorn is also a great snack to pair with your beer! Service is always quick and friendly and I love how you can sit inside the cool AC with the hops lights and TVs for games or go outside on the patio or at one of the many picnic tables onsite. Holler is definitely one of the best little breweries in Houston!

Laura P.

Yelp
This has a smaller brew list than most breweries around it, but has great beers. The place itself is in a strip so it's kind of small. Their slushies were great and so was their sour beer that I had. Not much to do here besides watch games on the TVs. The bartender was really friendly!

Emma B.

Yelp
Cool brewery, nice atmosphere. Was able to get parking in the lot. Decent selection of beer, enjoyed the Mexican lager. Staff were pretty on collecting empty beer glasses. They had a food vendor selling crawfish outside, best crawfish I've ever had. Came in a sack, spicy, garlic, delicious and well priced. Stickers were a dollar.

James J.

Yelp
Great beer! Small place with excellent beer. Holler doesn't have the fancy views like some breweries, but the beer is top notch

M G.

Yelp
We LOVE Hollar! Great beer consistently and fun atmosphere. Unfortunately, today the female bartender was rude and very unwelcoming to several members of our party. It's unfortunate, normally the staff is welcoming and extremely helpful, but today this was not the case . Good opportunity for training . We will be back, but hopefully this staff member will be more hospitable.

Rex C.

Yelp
This spot has been on my radar for a long time. I've been wanting to check this place out. The main reason why I wanted to check this out was because the taco pop up that is here. Tacos bombero. Really cool laid-back chill spot. The bartending staff is very attentive and helpful. They are very nice and they make you feel at home. Atmosphere: they have a limited amount of indoor seating with cold AC which is nice. Air condition blows pretty cold for a hot summer afternoon. So if you're not a big fan of the sun you can simply sit inside. If you want to sit outside there's plenty of outdoor patio area, there's also some outdoor seating as well under some huge massive oak trees. Overall it's a pretty nice spot to hang out and chill with friends. Or a date. Etc. I believe they are dog friendly is a saw a dog today. I would definitely come back here for the tacos and the chill atmosphere.

Dominique N.

Yelp
This brewery has personality and a lot of opportunities for free shirts (I am unsure about other free things, although I assume they have some). I have mostly been for the run club, but it is a lovely brewery with a lot of parking available around it. There is not a lot of seating inside, but a lot of seating outside and across the parking lot there are picnic tables. The beer is good and has fun names. For example, there is witty kitty wietbier. They have a good growler deal, which is only $15 on Sundays, and you have access to the Tacos Bomberos stationed outside. The run club on Wednesdays is very packed, and offers a 3-mile or 5-mile course. The run club members are all nice and the patrons are cool too. The staff seem uber cool and welcoming.

Yelp
Beer, beer, beer, and more beer!! Fun spot..... A group of baseball fans from NJ made the trip and had a blast. This was one of our footnote stops.

Taylor A.

Yelp
This place is really quite neat. It's tucked in a spot that's off the beaten path - and perfectly accessible for biking adventures. They've also got a large shared parking lot. Unfortunately, I've yet to see the inside due to Covid 19 but it seems fairly quaint. I had no idea they'd been around for 3 years, but I'm happy to have finally stumbled across them! We tried the cacao stout, German pils, and Czech pils in the small size. Circa $20 for four* craft beers? Definitely affordable. Plus, I love the cans - I just wish they recycled! They will refill your can if you'd like to use it for a second beer. They come with twist off tops which ensures the beer is fresh if you're saving it for later. I'll definitely be back soon enough. Glad to support local! Update: came back, tried the sour this time and WOW. Really loved it. Great spot!

Jennifer C.

Yelp
Decided to stop by here for a drink after dinner. There's plenty of parking! I ordered the hefeweizen without knowing that it was 19oz! My fault as it was noted on the board. Woops! The beer was alright. It's a wide variety of crowd: runners, ppl off work, ppl with kids, etc..... There was a stand selling tacos outside that seemed popping. They kept playing 90s-2000s music lol if you're looking for a place to talk, you may wanna sit outside. The music is pretty loud indoors.

Hillary E.

Yelp
My friends and I went brewery hopping one Saturday and ended our day here. Staff was friendly and offered great options based off of what our preferred beer choice. We were able to snag a table inside, but seating is limited on a busy day. Will definitely try this spot again in the future!

Tony M.

Yelp
Just an average brewery. It's very small. Enough seating for about 25 people max. They don't serve food except for ziplock bags of popcorn for $7. Beer is good though. I'd recommend going for a flight and then bar hopping to one of the better local breweries within walking distance like Urban South or Buffalo Bayou.

Lilly A.

Yelp
The service was fast they have seating on the patio and on the grass in front of the parking lot. The food was served hot and it was super flavorful. The dollar pill beer was a great recommendation as a light flavor for beer. Everybody was friendly, customer service definitely on point.I definitely recommend.

Tara K.

Yelp
It's a small brewery with both indoor and outdoor seating. They have a water cooler around for everyone to drink from, which is always a plus for me, and they have TVs and games. Also the names were very creative - very cool. I wasn't drinking that day but my boyfriend got the "Czech It Twice" Pilsner and liked it, and I ordered a Topo Chico. Would definitely like to go back to try the beers.

Rene K.

Yelp
Nice area for drinking your brews! We enjoyed ourselves. Pet-friendly! Will visit again!

Jenna D.

Yelp
I had so much fun here. It might have been the company, it might have been the sunny day, or it might have been the great beer, but overall, this place was a great time. The interior is small, the patio is not, and therefore the patio is where we sat (there were 15 of us). While there are not TONS of beers on the menu, there were seven or eight that were really interesting. I chose a flight, and despite being a spoiled PNW beer drinker, I liked almost every single one. The peanut butter beer was especially delicious - smooth with a peanutty finish. It's in a strip-mall esque area that has some food areas, an Orangetheory, and a few other shops. There wasn't a ton of food options at the brewery itself, which lends me to believe you can BYOF. Otherwise, sidle up to the bar and have a cold one. You'll enjoy it :)

Bret B.

Yelp
Tripped across this oasis of brew dodging traffic one Saturday afternoon. Enjoyed the fine tasty brews and departed smiling and thinking happy thoughts. Friendly smiling staff. They had a Venezuelan food truck but I stuck to the tasty IPAs. Cheers

Brittany T.

Yelp
Holler is a cool spot to stop with a great atmosphere. Do not make this the focal point of your night as it has a limited menu and a very small interior venue making it hard to get a table. It's a fun place but if you're a picky beer drinker you may be disappointed. Prices are great but don't dwell here too long or you may be disappointed. Staff was very friendly though!

Michael H.

Yelp
Nice little place with a good selection of beers and a good patio. Bring some friends and enjoy.

Christa S.

Yelp
I stopped by this place for a quick drink after I left orange theory one evening. To my surprise the brewery was so amazing that I ended up staying for three beers. The two bartenders working that evening were exceptional. I loved everything from the beer, to the bartenders, and the beers! I am a big fan of sour beers, and the two options that they had were beyond exceptional. They did have quite a few IPAs, but I am not an IPA fan. I also did try the Bourbon barrel selections, and they were amazing as well. On the Thursday evening that I was there in December, there was a Venezuelan food truck. The food truck was outstanding! The bartender said that they often have food trucks, so be sure to check this place out and grab a bite! There is also outside seating, and games, so you can make an afternoon of it. I really enjoyed checking this place out, and will be there again for another visit soon. I can't wait to try more sours!

Colton A.

Yelp
We had a hobby meetup there today and it was great time. They could not have picked a better place for a bunch of people to gather. Amazing beer selection, great Nitro coffee, super friendly bar keeper, and great atmosphere! Can't wait to come back another day and just sit and enjoy it all.

Kelly H.

Yelp
5 star beers 5 star to-go capability 5 star service (talk to Jorge) 5 star park across the way

Miao M.

Yelp
Cool spot. We saw it as driving passing to go to another place and decided to try out on the same day. Cool vibes!

Sharon S.

Yelp
Y'all! Seriously! If you haven't been, bless your heart. Just go! Plan it for Friday. Go Saturday. Wednesday is Steak Night. I started with 23oz of Witty Kitty! So very perfect after the Race Pace social run (every Thursday.) The husband had the Pub Crusher. Easy to drink with a tobacco finish. Next, I enjoyed the ESB! Go for the ESB! Listen. It is great beer. Consistently. Great people. Great view of downtown. Enjoy!

Michelle B.

Yelp
Cute little brewery! Beers are good, indoor and outdoor seating, super friendly staff, and food trucks right outside. There is so plenty of parking available. I've been here a handful of times now and each time, I've been greeted by very friendly staff. If you don't know what to order, let the bartenders know what you like and they can recommend a beer for you. I was so stuck on what to order they let me sample four different beers before I found one that I liked. Most of their 16oz beers are about $5. You can also get a flight for $15. I've tried their Wednesday steak night and wasn't really a fan. The steak was pretty bland, thin and over cooked. Didn't think it was worth $22. If you do order steak night, a free beer token is included. Overall, I would definitely come back again. It's a cool place to come with friends for a chill night.

Natasha K.

Yelp
It's one of my favorite breweries in Houston. It has a small cozy interior and an outside patio. They have food trucks and light snacks on their own menu. They have a large selection of beers which they tend to change/experiment with every once in while. The staff is friendly. The only downside is when you're sitting inside and it is super busy, it gets REALLY LOUD. Most of they time they are not as busy but as more people are discovering this place, it is becoming very loud. It's not as bad when they open the patio up so the noise kind of spreads out. Overall, great brewery. I enjoy their IPA's quite a lot.

Nia S.

Yelp
This was probably one of the best steak nights I've ever had in a very long time! It's located downtown in a tucked away brewery. The area was nice, clean and pretty safe. Apparently they only serve food on Wednesday's which seemed to be a hit upon arrival. Parking was super easy. They have a private lot which is really convenient. We sat at the bar and our bartender explained their setup and how things work. I wish I could remember his name; he was really great and recommended great beer choices for our different pallets. He directed us to the area across the bar which is where you can order your steak. For $22 you receive a ribeye; pasta side and a free beer. YES! A free beer!!! Once you've ordered and paid they give you a token to order any beer you want. Love it! Now, the only part i regret is listening to the drunk guy at the bar who suggested that we order our steaks a little rarer then (medium) because they over cook it when it's medium. Well the definitely did NOT over cook our medium rare steaks to equal a medium temp Lol! However the steak was still AMAZING AND PACKED WITH FLAVOR! No A1 sauce needed. Just like I like it! The pasta was out of this world! It was so good and had a nice kick! I wish i could've ordered a side to go! The portion size was great and I will be returning! I also like that they were able to play the rockets game with sound on the projector! This is such a cool place and the customer service here is awesome! They check in on you and we're constantly cleaning when ever they walked by. Can't wait for the next steak night!

Jackie M.

Yelp
Came here for the first time during their Steak night. They precut the steak for you which I would have rather them not to have done that because I felt like they gave me a smaller portion. I definitely did not get full after having the steak with the noodles. However, the flavoring of the steak and noodles was very unique in that it had an Asian influence to it. Only complaint is portion size. I did like the fact that it came with a beer chip which you can choose any beer off the menu (not including flights). Warning: this place does not have TVs! So if you're trying to watch a game while enjoying your beer I wouldn't come here!

Sarah C.

Yelp
Beer is 10 out of 10! I tried multiple beers with my friend and every single one we enjoyed! Ancient Art the Dark Lager is a must try! The tacos also were amazing I had they were vegan friendly which is a hugeee plus for me! This brewery has clean bathrooms, friendly employees, good music, and is great for a date or catching up with a friend! Highly recommend

Alex D.

Yelp
This is the best brewery in Houston. You can disagree, but you'd be wrong. Ample parking, great location, almost always a food truck or pop-up at meal times, friendly staff, and a great rotating selection of home-crafted beers.

Tasfia A.

Yelp
Five stars for the good booze and the drinks with hilariously witty names. I came across this place because I'd heard they were hosting an axe throwing event (by Epic Axe) and had to swing by. I ordered "Margaret Thatcher Naked on a Cold Day." Need I say more in this review? Probs not, but here's a little more info: My drink was more on the sour side, if you're into that. Dollar Pils Y'all was more smooth, and more my taste. 16oz glasses costed $5 each. There is a parking lot and outdoor seating. The staff is friendly and the atmosphere is sort of sporty. Overall, I had a blast and plan to return again to try some of their other drinks!

Stephen S.

Yelp
Awesome brewery! Very cool inside, and more more importantly incredible beer! Loved the selection of ipas, lagers, and ales

Michael G.

Yelp
Like the beers a lot particularly their hazy IPAs. it's located in a nice plaza with ample parking. It does have very limited indoor space so seating can be extremely limited but nice atmosphere. Staff are friendly.

Geraldine R.

Yelp
We stopped here for a drink and snack while on a bike ride. Both beers we tried were delicious and their popcorn flavors were unique. Loved sitting outside underneath the beautiful oak trees!

Trey B.

Yelp
Long time regular. Great beer, environment and people. Ken is always friendly and helpful. Worth the drive plus GREAT 80's rock play list.

Lisa B.

Yelp
We went here after our reservation another place was denied and they rolled with our 35 person party bus showing up. Great beer, great patio, fast service!

Brian K.

Yelp
There's really nothing to not like about this place. I would question anyone who has anything negative to say. Great craft beer for like $6 bucks. Fun patio. All the dogs. What's not to love?

Lucas E.

Yelp
Very cool community brewery tucked away in a cute Houston enclave. The beer was quite good, sampled my way around the menu and enjoyed each offering. Varying styles, with something present in most all of the popular styles. Cool vibe. Great service & friendly regulars. Other shopping & entertainment within walking distance. Drink local!

Alexis L.

Yelp
Great atmosphere, the outdoor seating is very nice, and delicious beer. Their recent IPA is amazing.

Stephanie K.

Yelp
Originally from first ward It has been great to see how this neighborhood has transitioned. Now living in Denver I have seen plenty of craft breweries. Casual and relaxed atmosphere. Good view of the Tiny and modest brewing equipment. Plenty of seating inside as well as in a covered hallway. Good selection of beers, English brown to imperial stout to hefe and saison. Also cold brew coffee and kombucha. Friendly staff. Interested to see the other beers they come up with. Plenty of parking. Food truck out front. No kitchen. Not sure if it is dog friendly or not, as it's pouring rain and I don't see one pup.

Ignacio D.

Yelp
Great beers, pretty cheap. They have a nice outdoor seating. You can get food delivery. Plenty of parking

Michael C.

Yelp
Great local brewery. The beers rotate frequently, so there is almost always something new to try, every visit. They always have a solid IPA on tap. Also, on Wednesdays, they have steak night. You can get a steak, side, and a beer, for about $20.

Ryan N.

Yelp
Great spot with a good variety of beer. Looking forward to what you guys make next. I realized short reviews don't get included in overall scores so I wrote a little more about this place: I got here earlier than my friends after work on a Friday and enjoyed an ESB out on the patio. I think this ended up being my favorite of the beers I tried. Just a simple straightforward good drinkable beer which is a nice change from most other small breweries. I shared a flight later to sample some more. Great quality all around. If you're into super hoppy or heavy beers you might not quite scratch that itch based on what I got to try, but it's still definitely worth checking out. The bar area is not very big but it's very clean and has a window into the actual brewing area. The bar opens up to the patio which is a converted loading dock with plenty of space. Overall a great hang out spot, which is exactly what you want. Food trucks park right next the patio so you don't need to go anywhere for food. There were a couple beers on tap I didn't get to try and I think they are regularly rotating others in and out so hopefully I'll have plenty of new stuff to sample on my next visit which will be very soon.
